Mort had to laugh, because he never got to see her so flustered anymore. Adopting the persona of a creeping puppeteer had lent to him an extra boost of confidence that he needed so much these days. "Spinny little things," he agreed as a tease, pulling her arm a little closer. "But m'glad is enjoying Prom, very glad." You deserve some happiness.

"Nothing's happened yet. Gnomes tried to run out couple've times, but are in line now." He cast a distracted glance off to the side as if checking for something, then turned his gaze back to the witch with a warm smile. "Do look beautiful . . . Better than 'magination with hints. Was okay 'til now, but m'definitely enjoying myself with you~" The zomboil's other hand came up to give a grand gesture before them. "Was going t'ride something? Lemme come with while have time, your choice. Just, er . . . not growller coaster please, don't think can handle speed right now."

"Fun house? Sounds pretty fun indeed, show me it later?" He kind of wanted to see this now, though being drown in glitter was not an option. At the wordless hug he paused and placed his arms around the ghoul. This was normal, Rosy often hugged him, though it wasn't as normal as he tried to pass it off. Spinar knew something was off he just tried to ignore it and cling to the hope that it would all fall back into place.

Hopefully.

As Rosy pulled back he chuckled softly to clear the air and then nodded his head in agreement."Yeah I bet there is a place to put items like this, surely." He replied while taking his jacket off and placing it over and outstretched arm. Raising a curious brow at the ghoul he grinned a little playfully then held the jacket out to her, "you should, then if we get separated again I can follow the jingles." He hadn't really meant to say again, and he hadn't really caught it till a few moments after it was out. Spinar moved back on his heels and gave a thoughtful hum at the options presented to him.

Taking a first was always appealing no matter how you looked at it, that was a real treasure and he was a boil that liked treasure.

"Well then it looks like we will be each others first..." leaving it at that he moved to take the hand she was playing with. "Let's go dance, we can come back afterwords for a ride, then if its ok with you I'd like to get the jack out of here.." There wasn't much of anything interesting going on anyways and besides they could have more fun playing casketball.

The pull closer only made the witch titter a nervous laugh, almost tripping on flat feet that felt so odd compared to a curved arch. "I am enjoying prom much more now." Careful of her crown, she tilted her head to momentarily rest what was possible of her temple against his arm, not reaching his shoulder this time, before she brought it back up to look around at the people and rides, effectively missing his own wandering gaze.
"Oh! Thank you! But you must tell me, what had you imagined?" A bit of her cheekiness returned and she squeezed his arm a bit with a bounce. He had a pretty good angle all the way up there...
At the gesture she looked around them, blinking at each ride before she looked up at him.
"I was thinking of the Scarosuel, since there's a really nice looking zombie horse... Its got lilac on it!" That was important, obviously.

With a grin she tugged on his arm, bouncing up and down and hoping to infect him with some of her boundless energy.
"Come with me on the Scarosuel! Its not fast and you have to tell me where you got that ingenious pattern on your hood! And about everything else!" And also maybe how he adored her?
She grinned all the more, twirling her parasol all the faster now that he was here with her.

Pulling his jacket on, Rosy laughs as she place her top hat back on her head. Grabbing for his own, she carefully stood on her tip toes as she place his on top of his head "Okay, dancing, then casketball. Unless I can talk you into running through the fun house once with me?" she slips her hand into his own as she gives it a squeeze.

Thing seem to be normal between them, but at the same time.

Something wasn't settled.

Oh he had a magnificent angle given that she had no heels on~

"Riding zombie horse, huh?" he echoed, grinning. "Mrrr . . . Just imagined froofy dresses n' lots've pink. Not terribly 'maginative s'far's clothes n' all--image pales in comparison to this . . . your majesty." And with a secret grin Mort peeled away to give her a small bow before returning to her side, walking towards the Scarousel.

. . . He'd forgotten to check into the stopping mechanic in all the bustle of getting the event ready. Whoops. At least it was a gentle pace, or gentle enough . . . He looked to Belladonna with a wink. "Hold on~" And without warning he jumped forward and took ahold of the nearest incoming pole, promptly dragging the both of them onto the ride.

Once he was sure the witch was secure on the platform, Mort let her arm go. "'Gain, can't tell everything," he answered simply. "But should know what that marking means, huh? Not that am king here 've course, m'just a secretary . . ."

He paused, realized something, and then grinned from ear to ear.

"Is princess s'posed to be with someone've lower class like this?"

"Um, well, yes... I... Er...." Hadn't thought of it like that gee, thanks Mort.
The witch flushed all the more as she followed him, ducking her head a little because help, she had gutter brained really quickly. But it was the bow that made her blink at him, her momentary embarrassment forgotten in favor of...
Your majesty.
This time her eyebrows furrowed a little as she thought that through, her smile replaced with a tiny pout of concentration. That would mean that-- No, it couldn't be-- But the pattern on his hood, and that effervescent little quip and the dolls! Maybe it hadn't been a leap in logic after all! Not like the leap the witch was forced to enact as she was tugged along and up onto the spinning ride, flailing her free arm only to flail her parasol around. It was serving quite nicely for she managed not to fall, tripping forward to clutch at a pole. And look! The lilac horse was just one over!
Staggering a bit she made her way over, nibbling on her lip as she considered all this. He would have told her, though... Wouldn't he?

One hand splayed out on the gilded saddle while the other propped her parasol against the horse, absently thinking. At least until he spoke again.
With a gasp she turned her head to face him, her now free hand pointed at him.
"You do remember!" A flash of a smile began, but it burned out quickly as she looked up at him with the return of her tiny pout. "Why did you not tell me?" Why was he always keeping things like this from her?
Back to the horse she turned, considering trying to climb up onto the saddle, but realizing that, well... It was a bit of a jump. Maybe she would have been able to do it on a normal day in heels, but ballet slippers were a bit slippery on this machine and her gloves had no traction either. Instead she turned back to him, once more giving him a decided point of one finger.
"I was a Queen, thank you very much." But even that quip only made her smile. "And even were I a princess, being with the King is a great honor. Even if you are just a secretary, you are my King still." And that had to count for something.

Mort lifted a bony finger to his lips and winked. "Many surprises at Prom tonight," he murmured enigmatically, and nothing more on the subject. He would be all too happy to discuss things with her after the event was done, but for now he wanted to enjoy her company and forget about kings and other worlds and whispers.

Noticing she needed some help, he all too happily helped lift her onto the horse, keeping a hand on the thing's neck once she was settled. "Mrrr~ Is nice t'think like that, huh?" he replied, taking one of her hands into his own. "Least one've us looks the part tonight, your majesty~ Crown is nice touch! Did it take long t'decide on outfit?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 24, 2013 8:08 pm

Enigmatic Mort was always a lot of fun, but sometimes he was too tricky for the ever curious witch. And while she huffed and puffed and whined and squeaked about not getting to know right this second, she also did not say anything else on the matter. Well, not anything about Kings and Queens or other worlds. "You have... More surprises?" She asked hopefully, a smile tugging at the side of her mouth as she turned her back to the horse, her face up toward Mort.
When he reached down to help her up she grinned in full, placing her hands on his shoulders until she was up high enough to move back to sit on the saddle, naturally going side saddle because that was what a proper lady did. That and it gave her a really nice vantage point in which to talk to him.
A hand was happily offered for him to hold, the chill of his skin seeping in through even the fabric of the witch's glove so that she let out a small, dreamy sigh while she delicately laid her other hand lower down on the horse's neck. This was awfully romantic...

"Are you going to call me 'your majesty' all night? I am not complaining, just... Very curious." And mightily honored, honestly. "No. Not really. I considered a fortune teller and thought that too obvious. Then one of those cute, but very sad looking clown ghouls. And then I decided that ballerina shoes and a parasol were too much fun and went with the Highwire Ballerina instead." Her feet pointed down and out for him to admire the hint she had given him.
"And you? Did it take you long to decide too?"

"Umm.. let's get up on it first and then we can pick which ones we want to sit on." Tomoko nodded several times, making anxious steps forwards, then back, like she had been considering getting on by herself, then lost her nerve.

She'd ran, and ran, and ran, and at some point she tripped on her dress and fell, quite hard, on her hands. Freya remained there, her dress dirty at the knees from the fall, and her hands digging into the soil.

She'd screamed. She'd ran. She'd thrown up on Aymet's shoe. All because somebody said the m word. She was happy about this, wasn't she? Wasn't she?!

Prom had turned into the puddled mess of dirt and tears that her once spotless dress now wallowed in, and she remained there, in the dirt, where she belonged.

There was just something about the panic he was feeling and the panic he knew she must have been feeling that made him just not give up on her. She was more important to him than some feeling of uncertainty and embarrassment for himself.

When she collapsed he skid to a stop and stumbled over toward her, kneeling near her, "TĂșkut, are you alright? Here let me help clean you up." He was fussing at her despite deep down realizing he was probably the last thing she needed to see right then.

His fingertips smoothed away mess from around her mouth, brushed hair from her face. Kettil's face was wide-eyed and panicked the entire time but ...

She didn't pull away from him. It wasn't as if she didn't want to marry Kettil, she just wasn't ready for that. She knew she wasn't. She was too dumb, too silly, too childish, too ******** up. He had to take her phone away during prom. Why would he even want to marry her? And Aymet .. YELLING IT OUT for the world to hear - it put everything in stark, painful perspective that had her panicking.

"Yeh deserves better than this." The mess of a ghoul that crumpled into his arms muttered against him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

I don't care what you think I deserve. I want you. Yeah it started as a crush. We started off with different relationships and content to be friends but...It changed. Even if it ended up with me just being on my own...I'd have been happy with you as my friend and watching you be happy with who you were with but..."

"That's different now. We are different now." He was staring at her face. Kettil knew she was nervous, his own hands were trembling a bit.

It wasn't from excitement. It was pure nerves.

"I'm not ready for this either, not really. I'm in no shape to take care of you the way you deserve to be. I ain't got no idea what I wanna do after I graduate other than be with you. I'll probably be some jobless moron hanging onto the only good thing in his life and weighing her down," he gave her a small smile as he admitted to his fears.

"Yeh'll never weighs me down, Hooter." She whispered hoarsely, her tears freshly running from sheer joy. She put both of her hands on his cheeks, and held his head between them. Her body shook with relief, and delight. "Yehr the only thing that holds me up. Yehr what keeps me from goings hazy."

She leaned in to kiss his lips, but thought better of it and pulled away, wincing with regret. "Probably shouldn't kiss me right now.."

Right. Because vomit mouth. Romantic.

Her smile crept up, small but confident. "I'm sorry, Hooter. I was wrong. So stupid and wrong. If I could, I'd marry yeh right here, right now." She brushed his cheeks with her fingertips, and grinned. "As far as I'm concerned, I already did."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Her response to his words made his heart thump in various speeds. Faster and faster each word she spoke, at least that was how it felt to him. His heart could barely be contained in his chest as he watched her.

Kettil smiled softly at her, "You keep me from losing myself," he said softly in return.

She moved to kiss him and then stop. He solved it by simply leaning and kissing her tear soaked cheek and then her nose, "And...I'd marry you, too. Except...I'm not sure how official it actually is...Let's call it..practice? I never even met your parents yet...I think they'd murder me if they thought I married you on the sly and they weren't there..."

Terming it practice made him feel less anxious. He still took it very seriously but...
