Pickles had reserved one other flower from the boquet, which he put carefully to the side He dug around in his pockets again. He started putting different containers, jars, and pencils on the table.
"We get made up! It takes a little while, um, first you need to mark where we want what."
He took off his gloves, then rolled up his sleeves, wiggling his fingers.
"Need our hands."
He picked up the white pencil. "There's different rules, for different types of clowns. And nobody can have the same face as anybody else. So this face will be yours."

Sibyl wiggled in her seat and watched as Pickles set down item after item for their makeup. Hands. Right. That made sense. She had no idea what she was doing but she was eager to find out how to learn. "There are types?" Sibyl blinked. Rules?
She got a special face just for her.
Sibyl gasped and bounced in her little chair, clapping her hands and giggling with excitement. "Okay~! So you draw the shapes on your face and then, like, paint around it?"

"Yeah! I'm going to design yours but, let you do some of it. If you wanted to like...clown around sometime."
Pickles brushed her hair out of the way, then bit his lip while he concentrated, marking off a design around her eyes with his white pencil.
"But you don't need makeup or clothes or a red nose to be a clown."

When Pickle started to work she immediately stilled, sitting with her hands folded neatly on her lap like a good ghoul who didn't want to ruin Pickles' work or make it harder on him. She couldn't help but grin when he suggested she do this herself. "You don't have a red nose right now~." Sibyl giggled, wiggling her own nose a bit. Like the makeup his nose had been a think Sibyl thought he just had, like he was born with it. "Will the makeup cover my spots? Ohohoh! Can I have new spots if it does?" A leopard seal with no leopard spots? Unheard of!
Sibyl sat with surprising stillness while Pickles worked, her eyes on the mirror to watch what he was doing. She got excited when he showed her what colors he was going to use aside from the white, taking careful note of his instructions. Makeup was easier than she thought! It was like turning her face into a three-dimensional coloring book!
Eventually her face was finished and she gave a long squeal of delight under her breath, turning her head this way and that to try and see her face at every angle.
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I love it!" Sibyl was wiggling again, her bells jingling with her movements. "IloveitIloveitIloveitttttt! You're the best!" She lightly brushed her hair out of the way while turning her head to see the spots near her eyes, giggling excitedly. Hehe~ Spots!

Pickles went through each step- making sure the white was even, powdering, then applying color - neutral powder.
He paused at each step, doing the same thing for his own face. He was pretty fast by now. He'd been doing it a while.
He showed Sibyl how to warm the cream up in the palm of her hand before putting it on, how you could press your face to make sure everything was dry, and not sticky. To be careful about powdering everything, even the corners of your face that were hard to reach.
When he finished, they both looked...well, like clowns! Pickles smiled big at her expression, then started repocketing. "I'll help you get it off too, it's not too hard! You can eat with it on, so don't worry about that. If you need to touch up or anything, I'll help."
He puffed out his cheeks, looking at a goofy watch on his wrist.
"We've still got some time left! IIIIII," he dropped his voice to a whisper, "I hired a guy."

She could eat with it? Well..she was usually pretty messy when she ate...Sibyl would just take extra care to eat neatly tonight! She stood from her seat and gave herself one last look in the mirror to make sure everything was in order before she turned back to Pickles in time for his whisper.
She blinked. "A guy?" Sibyl whispered back, leaning in closer as if Pickles was telling her a secret and no one else was supposed to hear it. "What guy?"

"Welllllllll he's a guy I sort of used to know, anyway what I do know is that he is good at follow through. I was never good at that. But okay, so, when they throw these parties there's always a lot of stuff. They're giving it away for free practically! For playing games! Which I really like doing. But okay, this guy never has any fun at all, so, I thought I'd hire him to have fun, plus grab as much as we can."
Pickles said this in one long, excited stream.
"So we can help him with his outfit too!"

Sibyl made an awed sound as Pickles explained the plan. Pickles was a genius. "Okay! Yeah! That sounds fun! Who're we helping?"

"Zar!" Pickles said, wiggling his oversized bowtie in the mirror and beaming at her. "You know him?"
