V’ell - Attacking R'an HP: 30/30 Damage: 1d6+6 (+3 bladed, +1 hand to hand)
9 damage ---
There was nothing she could do for the falling wherholders that Zarth was not already doing. V'ell turned away from where the first cage had been and moved rapidly on to the second, hoping that the other lock would be as simple to pick as the first one had been.
She never quite made it, however. D'ei had landed with Lycath, and was running over to join her... but so was someone else. A boy that V'ell didn't recognize, one with a blue weyrling dragon on his heels. Was this the weyrling some of her comrades mentioned had been taken down at the cothold, during the failed attempt to kidnap the rogue gold? Back for another shot? Either way, V'ell didn't intend to let him just stroll into the middle of their rescue mission without consequence.
"Stay out of my way, whelp!" She slashed her long knife at the boy with savage precision.

No! Banshidheth cried, but it was already much too late. By the time she could have commanded him, Trine was upon him and the damage had been done. That fool could cost all those people their lives, and for what? Impatience? A chance to show off? A rare snarl escaped her maw as the gold joined the other wherhold dragons, swooping down in a desperate attempt to grab someone, anyone, and save them!

R'an - Dodging V'ell HP:21/25 Defense: 4 +1 = 5 Damage taken: 4
(*)
Honestly, he should have been expecting experienced Wherhandlers and Dragonriders to have weapons. He successfully leaned backwards, but was pushed forward again so he received the end swipe of that blade, grunting at the hot pain in his arm and growling as he heard Syriacuth whimper in pain as well. What was he thinking? He put Syriacuth in danger! He immediately put himself infront of Syriacuth. He wasn't going to let this person hurt his dragon again!
He felt the dragon behind him hissing and felt the anger in his head, wanting to spur him on.
((edited, if I calculated wrong on the number please let me know! First battle here!))

Ivanhoth gave a panicked shriek as the disaster unfolded, and His was sent plummeting towards the water. NO! I'm coming, myFi'o! He could not, would not lose her now. The brown dove blindly, barely giving any thought to the other dragons - enemy or ally - and grabbed almost as blindly. All these people falling, and one of them was His, and he could only hope that he caught her.

Fool! Firith joined the chorus of disgust and horror when the dimglow bronze pulled his stunt, and quickly whipped around to change course and dive. Those were their people, good people, and they couldn't lose them now! Not after everything they'd been through. It wasn't fair.

Kesisk, Attacking Syriacuth HP: 50/50 Attack: 1d8+4 Accuracy: -5 2+4=6 damage
Kesisk had leapt into action at the call from her handler, launching herself from a standstill into a full sprint - as much of one as a gold wher could manage - and was soon charging out of the jungle. She stopped only long enough to try to distinguish friend from foe, but she wasn't entirely sure about every last person gathered here and had to check with her still-caged handler.
The baby dragon! Just get that one!
Target confirmed, the gold wher charged at the young blue, fully intending to bowl him right over.

While R'an was busy, Syriacuth reared up on his back legs, wanting to attack the human who hurt his, but he caught site of the charging Wher and his eyes whirled in distress as he backed up, hissing loudly and growling. The Wher was still coming and he tried to get out of the way, being knocked over and rolling abit, scraps appearing on his forelimbs and side. He moaned in some pain but got back up on to his feet, his wings flaring to get the dust off and screaming at the Wher. R'an cried out as he felt the pain from his dragon but didn't turn his eyes away from his attacker.

T'arn and Tahmoth
T'arn had made his terms clear when he volunteered to go on this mission: he would not be engaging in close combat with the Trine forces. He could provide distractions, transport for escaping prisoners, field medicine as required... But he carried no weapon, only the bandages issued to all of them.
The two of them blinked out of between, Tahmoth taking in the situation with sharp eyes and a quick sweep of the area. It looked as though most of the action was centered around the cages - good, they'd successfully landed wherholders there to get to work on the locks. One bronze seemed to be bypassing the whole "lock-picking" step altogether in favor of lifting the cage...
Brave attempt, he remarked silently to Tahmoth, but it's not going to work. Given the size and probable weight of the cage, there's no way he's going to be able to...
He's dropping it! Hang on, T'arn, we're going down! Without waiting for her rider's response, Tahmoth sprung into action, barreling downwards after the falling prisoners.

D'ei - Attacking R'an 1d6+5 = 11 Damage
"Oh, are you kidding me?" She snapped as soon as she heard the kid, saw him coming much too close. D'ei spun on her heels to face him in time to see V'ell going at him with a flash of her knife. The boy - weyrling, weyrling - managed to not die unfortunately but his little dragon looked less than pleased.
"If you worried so much about your dragon--" D'ei lunged at him, her teeth bared, "Then you should have stayed home!" Little boy, standing full in front of a bright blue target. Her hand jerked out, tight around her belt knife, and stabbed at him.

R'an - Dodging D'ei HP: 13/25 Defense: 2 +1 = 3 Damage taken: 8
((*))
He gasped in pain as he felt the knife pierce his skin. 'Syriacuth, run! Get out of here!" He shouted at the little dragon. This was a mistake. There was no way he oculd handle this and he was going to get himself and Syria killed! He could hear Syriacuth moaning in pain as R'an's wound bled heavily. The attacker had caught him on the shoulder and R'an had jerked away, causing more of a rip.
His hand went to the wound and he began to stagger back. He needed to find something to fight back with. Or find some reinforcements!
((ow....))

Kesisk, Attacking Syriacuth HP: 50/50 Attack: 1d8+4 Accuracy: -5 4+4=8 damage
It had been far too long since Kesisk had had a good fight - a good hunt, yes, but not a good fight. And fight was something she had very much been wanting to do ever since her handler had been taken away from her and put in a cage. She spun around and lunged at the littleBig again. They would pay for treating her Kesin the way they had!

Syriacuth was back on his feet. He hated to fight, but he had to get to his rider. He ignored his rider's order, even though the pain in his own shoulder throbbed so badly. He growled and when the Wher spun around for him, He was ready and moved out of the way in time. Her body only clipping him so he felt only the scrape of pain. He growled and rounded on her. 'I will not leave you Mine!' He called out to R'an and suddenly turned, bolting that way. He would stay by R'an's side and help him.

V’ell - Attacking Syriacuth HP: 30/30 Damage: 1d6+7 (+3 bladed, +2 vs creature)
8 damage ---
"Noble of you," V'ell sneered, "but you're outnumbered, kid. And soon to be dragonless."
She dodged around him, lunging for Syriacuth. It wasn't the most elegant blow she'd ever struck, due to the boy getting in the way, but nonetheless she knew how to make a dragon hurt.
