Battle scars are always the best conversation makers.
Jude seemed to consider it for a moment before he started to point out where he had some scars, "I got a huge one on my back, a few along my arms," he indicated various places on his arms and also on his shoulder.
"Then I got one on my leg....Nothing too major. You'd think I'd be covered in them," he laughed and shrugged. "Are you hoping for some as well?"

[[Enter]] The ship was impressive, and he walked with Rin up the ramp to come aboard, handing off his ticket and stepping on deck with the sort of apprehension on being in a new, foreign place mixed with the excitement of something he'd never done before but possibly could enjoy. The water lapping against the ship was poetic, and he smiled longer than the one minute he usually reserved for very rare occasions.
Hand moving to Rin's hip to keep her close, he moved them to the deck and away from the clatter and lights of what seemed to be a casino to a twilight strip that glowed and shimmered on the glossy floorboards of the deck. The light here glowed, twinkled, before reaching out and fading where the ocean started and was dark and expansive.
"I've never been on a cruise ship. Just small boats." He said, almost feeling inclined to whisper. "I know it's a mission, but it feels like a vacation."
He turned to her as he lead her away from people he didn't want to talk to. "I was meaning to take you out on a boat when we had leave."

Harland felt very much not at home on a cruise ship. He'd never, in all his life, been able to afford something this extravagant. On top of that, although he was trying to look normal and casual, he sort of beelined as far away from the edge of the ship as possible. Maybe that would help quell the uneasy feeling that he needed to be not on the water any more. They'd given him an allowance, too; could he, perhaps, spend that on something here?
Probably not, he decided, as he looked around at everything.
On top of that, he was suddenly conscious of how many cigarette burns there actually were on his nicest clean brown vest. He folded his arms across his chest and tipped his hat down to cover his face, hiding from the sun for a moment, and concealing his expression as he tried to inexplicably rub one of the cigarette burns into being less visible.
"I can't take me anywhere in this state," Harland lamented, polishing idly at his cufflinks.
You know what would really make him feel better? Icecream.
He did love icecream.

Lawr was already not having a very great day. He'd barely managed to scrabble together his emotions after wonder park and already found himself trying to cope with the fact that he was on a boat and had no idea where he was, what he was doing or where he was going.
He was also wearing a jumpsuit, something he couldn't ignore very easily with the looks he got from passers by. It was almost painful for him when normally he was so precise about how he presented himself, appearances as much a part of how people reacted as any other aspect of interaction.
He had exactly 100 dollars to his name, which was agony in itself, his bank account before wonder park had been expansive, the zeroes like old friends flickering back at him when he checked ATMs. He doubted he could afford much that was presentable with only a hundred, even sarongs and the like were probably considerably more expensive on this swanky cruise liner.
With no other direction in his day he found himself window shopping to pass the time.

Kat paid no mind to his protests of being dragged along, and instead continued to drag him all the way to the promenade. "Oh hush. If it makes you happy, I'll even buy you an ice cream later." She smiled, patting the death assistant on the head. Pausing, she took a quick glance about the area, unsure of where to go from here. "Okay, sooo.. you can choose where we go first, since I don't really have a preference." She was so generous, for a kidnapper.

He was going to get ice cream. Caelius never gave him ice cream but Kat would, clearly this made her the better of the two choices (even though one was technically mandatory and would be in the very foreseeable future strapping Mark onto an iceberg before crashing the ship into him, but that was the future. Future him would worry about that).
And since his captor was so nice to get him have one prisoner's last meal, he gladly obliged, beelining for the bar. "Two beers, please." He paused. "Actually make it three. And make them, what's the most expensive you've got that's - his eyes strayed to something that was in the twenties - I'll take three of those as shots. She's gonna like pay and stuff." Mark gestured towards Kat and then gave her a thumbs up.
