Just when Jack thought he had the match under his control he was sent off of the top of Salem who struggled his way into a position to break the hold, then sent Jack off of top of him and onto his back while hooking his knee in the process. Salem had surely shifted the tides in this match...it is not an easy task to get the Molten Monster off of his feet, and it is even harder to get his shoulder on the mat. Jack would try to roll over and get onto his stomach to keep from being put into a bad spot so early in the match.

In a startling development, Arson found himself on his back with Salem's own weighing down on his chest following the latter's reversal of the Camel Clutch. The audience roared joyfully as Salem escaped being broken, at least for now, despite Jack trying to squirm beneath the rookie. Thinking quickly, Salem would roll backward overtop Arson, grabbing his raised ankles to force his knees towards his shoulders in an attempted leverage pin.

As Arson was rolled up, he would quickly place his hands under Salem as he rolled on top of him. So when the referee began the count, Arson would summon all of his upper body strength to push his hands upward and try to fling The Charismatic Calamity off of him and break the pin as the referee began the count. If he was successful in breaking the pin attempt, Jack would quickly roll to the ropes and slip to the outside...looking for a game of cat and mouse as he would falloff of the apron and onto his feet.

Perhaps it'd been overly-ambitious of Salem to go for a pin so early into the match, but the maneuver was more done for its convenience than any belief he'd so easily end the match. Still, it would've been nice to catch Jack by surprise and halt any further dealings with the big brute. Instead, Arson forced himself up and broke Salem's grip on his ankles, the behemoth opting to take a momentary retreat to the outside by rolling out of the ring. Fresh on his heels, however, the Charismatic Calamity tried to get the drop on Arson by executing a baseball slide into his adversary's chin immediately after he'd make his escape.

Well if it wasn't the most overused wrestling technique in the world, a baseball slide. Arson was truly insulted by the originality being displayed here by the Charismatic Calamity and aimed to let him know it by grabbing hold of the legs of the Next-Generation Sensation and looking to add to the momentum of his baseball slide by dragging him out onto the concrete and drop him onto his head. School was now in session and The Arsonist was about to give Salem a lesson in pain.

Salem let out a gasp of surprise as he felt Jack grasp his ankles in preparation for his countermeasure, leaving the rookie helpless to avoid falling face-first against the padded concrete outside the ring. 'Get up!' one fan shouted from ringside, a young lad who was hoping to see Salem victorious tonight. But the same fear and doubt that lingered in the child's mind also dwelled within the Charismatic Calamity's, a presence of foreboding that said he'd better step his game up if he were to come out ahead, in this test. He'd been slipping since his match with Freak - could it be Salem was getting psyched out by the balding retiree? Regardless, the rookie's thoughts revolved around how he could turn the tides back in his favor as he fought through his headache, clutching his forehead with both hands while wincing on the arena floor.

Arson could see what was either doubt, or a massive amount of fear in the eyes of his young adversary. This was just the mindstate that The Arsonist wanted him in as he tried to set the cruise control seeing as he was firmly in the drivers seat of this match up. He would look at the little boy who yelles for Salem to get up and smirked before yelling to the boy "Look at your hero now kid, he's not looking so good is he?" Arson would look to add even more doubt into this young boys head, by reaching down and grabbing hold of the Charismatic Calamity by the back of his shorts to lift him up off the ground before attempting to run him head and shoulders first into the steel steps on the outside of the ring. The boy would watch in horror of what was more then likely about to happen because when steel meets flesh...the steel usually is the one to come out on top.

Salem hadn't fully recovered his faculties, but he was present enough to know that Arson was a real d**k. I mean, seriously - arguing with a kid? But, that wasn't the issue Salem was most concerned with. Rather, it was the brute strength with which Jack lifted him by the seat of his pants and tried to ram the rookie's face into the nearby steel steps, Salemanics everywhere holding their breath for their favorite freshman.
Perhaps it was the expression on his young fan's face, maybe it was the wound Jack had dealt his pride by dominating the match, thus far. No matter the cause, Salem found the strength in him to stiffen his legs out and catch his footing, running up the steps Arson had intended to bash the lad's face across. Instead, Salem ran up the stairs, even going so far as to step off against the ring post itself to twist, getting some air while turning back to Arson. Before ever hitting the ground, Salem tried to utilize some of his parkour proficiency by attempting his Instant Karma DDT - a mid-air maneuver that would luckily make Arson eat the humble steel pie he'd intended for Salem.

To those watching at home on public access, the camera switches to split screen briefly. Sitting backstage, sipping on a martini, is the issuer of the twenty thousand dollar bounty, Freakshow. His feet are propped up on a table infront of him as he stares into a monitor. An ambivalent expression on his face, changing as Arson gains the advantage, so on and so forth. His arm is stretched out, wrapped around a women next to him. She was, of course, a stripper working at the club the blonde owned in his hometown of New York. The woman had that dead, glazed out look in her eyes that some of the less fortunate workers in the field will gain. It was evident by this and certain marks on her arms that Freak was paying her in something else in addition to her salary. She cradles the briefcase on her lap, glancing down at it uneasily on occasion. Letting a wry smile creep through Freak fishes the olive out from his martini and pops it into his mouth as the crew cuts back to the match.

Arson didn't expect Salem to have the time to recover after the beating he had been putting on him, and he certainly was not expecting the Next-Generation Sensation to run up the side of the steel steps like some kind of parkour adrenaline junkie. This is why when Salem went for his Instant Karma DDT, Arson was caught completely off-guard and his head was sent bouncing off of the corner of the steel step, causing his forehead to be severely lacerated from the sudden and devastating impact. This is probably the biggest reason that Arson never bought a car with cruise control in it....and he fell to the ground clutching his forehead and trying to keep the blood out of his eyes. Salem had an opening if he was quick enough to get on top of The World's Strongest Pyromaniac and capitalize on it, before Arsons partner in crime can inject herself into this match-up.

Sarah saw her partner take a bad landing near the steps, she didn't quite see how Arson landed, but when she went up to check on him, she noticed he was bleeding... She crouched beside him, yelling at him to "Get up!" Perhaps putting herself in harms way will prevent Salem from continuing an attack on Arson, buying him a bit of time to recover from his temporary injury! And she'll do what she can to buy him time!

Salem had delivered another highlight reel moment when he caught Arson by surprise with his improvised DDT, delivered ruthlessly onto the steel steps leading to the ring. But before the rowdy rookie could capitalize, Ms. Skye had interjected herself into the match, standing between Salem and her client in attempts to slow the Charismatic Calamity down in his attack on Jack. Stepping forward, Salem tried to grasp Sarah by the shoulder and forcibly move her off, intent on keeping the pressure on his opponent before the big man had time to recover.

Arson was laid out on the stairs as a small pool of blood was dripping from just above his eye onto the unforgiving steel. He would shake his head, as he raised his right hand to wipe the blood off of his face to keep it from getting into this eye. Arson would not show it, but the cut given to him by the Next Generation Sensation's devastating DDT was deep, and it was likely that this was going to cause a lot of blood loss before this match was over, but this fact would not cause Jack to back down from this fight, because if anything else he was going to make Salem pay for what he just did. NO ONE makes Arson belled his own blood and makes it out of an arena under their own power.
The Arsonist would push up off of the stairs and look over at Sarah who had bravely put herself in harms way by standing between him and Salem, and Arson would roll over onto his butt beside the stairs trying to get his head to stop spinning so that he could get back to his feet before Salem did something that he was going to regret because if anyone puts their hands on Sarah they will have Jack to answer to for it.

As soon as Salem put his hands on her, Sarah had to retaliate, with an attempt to punch him in the jaw. She may not have the strongest of hands, she might break her own hand in the process, but if this connects, she will buy Arson slightly more time to recover himself and unleash his rage on Salem, collecting the bounty on Salem's head!

A smacking noise was heard from the connection of Sarah's knuckles to Salem's chin, causing the rookie to take a step back while his head snapped to the side like a bent branch being let go. The attack had more surprised Salem than anything, but the motivation that inspired Ms. Skye's strike did make the rookie reach up to rub the ache in his jaw. For some strange reason, a smile crossed Croft's lips as he watched Jack's manager take up for him. Even though they were enemies, Salem respected her tenacity in the face of imminent danger. He almost felt bad that Jack was going to be suffering his first loss at the hands of LWL's favorite son. But first, he'd need to contend with the blue-haired beauty presently impeding his progress. Thus, reaching out slowly, Salem would appear docile to Sarah just long enough for his hands to get within striking distance...suddenly grasping her by the shoulder to shove her out of the way, trying to make a beeline for her ally, behind her.
