Maues was searching the great exchange for any suspicious looking characters as he seemed to weave between th crowds unnoticed. The mass of people here meant that no one cared for anyone here unless you sold the right stuff and had a satchel of Octens. This was was huge too, so it was also easy to get lost until the crowds died out late in the night.
venturing deeper into the crowds he seemed to have heard a familiar voice in yet another short argument between hustler and innocent lady. Pushing himself between the bodies he came to a small open space with the gypsie from just a few days ago, and like a gypsie she can travel fast. "now, now. That's no way to treat a young lady, is it?" Maues asked as he stepped forwards and into view. And then the man gave him a look of disgust, as though he should not be defending such a foul being.
" So if i were you... I would leave before bad luck catches up on you..." he warned.

Her hotty comment clearly didn't go over well with the burly man. From all appearances his already rosy face went right to purple, a rather unhealthy level of purple. Before she really knew what was happening he had grabbed her by her raven hair above her jeweled ear and slightly to the back. His grip tight and unforgiving.
Rur'Adika's sharp cry was droned out by his furious yelling. "Inbred sow! I'll show you how to respect a man and a respectable merchant!"
She wasn't much of a fighter, however, she could fend for herself relatively well, with minimal issue. Skirts made it a challenge but she managed, however, in a crowd like this it was harder. Adi was stressing about the potential worst when something unexpected happened. A voice, a warning and silken voice of warning rang in her ears. Familiar to the point of eerie, Adi turned her head in that direction the best she could with her head tilted at such an odd angle. Not to mention the pain her skelp was in. However, she was still able to make out the strangers voice, who wasn't so much of a stranger.
"Maues..." she murmured still awed to see him here.
The burly man that had her raven hair in his meaty grasp glowered at the thin statured man with disgust and arrogance. Clearly not believing the warning the new man gave him.
"Keep moving lad, this is between me and the damn gypsy," he snarled out and shook Rur'Adika to the point she flinched and bit to lip not to cry out. Why was it always the hair that men went for when assaulting a woman?
"I'd take his warning seriously."
"Shut it wench!"
He was going to shake her again, and Rur'Adika was sick of it. With the fire in her soul that made her so lively and free, this time it spurred her onward to be bold and strong. A grip on his meaty hand in her hair, with one swift kick to the groin area, she had him releasing her and falling to his knees. The look of pain on his face was clear enough that she had done the job well to get her point across.
"Bad luck!" Adi exclaimed. "Now get out of here before I have my horse flatten you into a rug!" Croix in time with her comment, stomped his front left hoof near the man's head was from where he was leaned over on the ground.
It seemed to get the job done and he got to his feet and glared at her, but hobbled off. Huffing, hands on her hips, Rur'Adika was hardly worse for ware, however, still she felt his hands in her hair and her skelp still stung. Turning to Maues however, she gave a small smile before speaking.
"Not that your entrance wasn't appreciated, but I can take care of myself Maues."

Zoltan was about ready to conjure up some sort of bone-breaking spell upon the man, however it was not he, but she that got the first strike. The seller at first seemed not frightened at all by Maues, but then again it didn't surprise him with such a mocking appearance. Almost as if they were both breathing the same breath, Maues had filled his lungs with air just as the gypsie flung her heel into the crotch of the merchant. Breathing out in just a moment after when with a great thud his chin landed on the ground, hands between his legs to cover up his bruised manhood, in more sense than one. Watching the man soon enough vanish after lifting his sluggish body from the dirty ground the gypsie greeted him.
"what a shame" he first replied almost bluntly. "And fortunate for him" he quickly added as his face mysteriously looked away and over his shoulder. He was hoping to have released some repressed, yet subtle anger. Then as he returned his gaze his subtly pulled up one side of his collar as to cover his neck properly. He should probably start learning to draw things on himself in less noticeable areas. "Tell me" he then asked, "i believe my coin has, or will keep you well, not that you require any kind of good will." his tone as if to be describing what he had just found from her. She was independent, confident, they were some fine attributes.

At his comment, she laughed outwardly while rubbing the side of her head. With a stroke of her fingers through her tresses, Adi was able to determine that the man had pulled some of her hair, but luckily not much. Just a few strands came out.
"Oh...I find it rather fair; both of us in pain, only his ego is worse off then mine," she said with a chuckle adjusting the diadem upon her brow. Though the gypsy woman found it difficult without some sort of reflective surface or mirror. With a frustrated huff she left it where it was, better then it was, but however still lopsided.
Focusing on Maues now, she tilted her head slightly, trying to figure out just what he was asking her and saying to her. "You're coin...you mean this," Adi asked and pulled from her magenta and cream bodice with golden inlay a coin on a long chain. Holding it in her hand, Rur'Adika could feel the warm it held from being close to her skin. "This is supposed to keep me well? Not that the sentiment is not welcome, I have dealt without for many years."
The coin in her uplifted hand palm facing them, she held it between them with a smile and a welcoming glimmer in her eyes. "It's a pleasure seeing you again Mr. Maues, I have to say I wasn't expecting it to be so soon."

Watching closely, it would seem that the Gypsie still had the coin in her possession, she didn't seem all that proud about it, though she certainly took the care to look after it. She then brought up the fact it was so soon they had met again, that caught his attention further. "well" he began, with a grin to his lips. "It would seem something is causing our paths to cross more often than normal" he finished with a small chuckle. "I was just passing through to the south side of the mountains" he spoke of the mountains just north, where the Aerie Peaks back onto the northern walls of the city. "And then i saw a wonderfully dressed lady, such as yourself, under a bellowing oaf... Are you here for anything particular? As you may already know... this marketplace is the best for everything and anything". He seemed rather chatty this time, more so than the last, trying to pry information from her once again.

"Something indeed," came her short reply, with a smirk of her own on Adi's painted lips.
Michael's reasoning for coming through the city was one that wasn't all that surprising. The Great Exchange and the city it rested in was a common stop for travelers going any which direction, but particularly in the direction of the mountains. Listening intently, she Rur'Adika chuckled and blushed slightly when the near strange mentioned a wonderfully dressed lady. It was a compliment in a most hidden fashion if she ever heard one. Well she was taking it as such, though it may not have been intended that way. In the end it still made her blush.
Answering Maues question she shrugged slightly. "Not particularly, however, there was something in mind I was looking for; elemental medal. What really brought me here though, was some supplies I needed. Plus I haven't been here since I was a young teen; traveling with my family and caravan." The smile on her face was genuine and pure as her eyes wandered to her surrounding.
Turning back to Michael however, she raised a brow. "And for you? Your on your way to the mountains, what takes you there and in need of stopping in this busseling city?"

The gypsie wanted supplies eh, well she would certainly get it here. But himself, he would have no interest in helping her. The warmth of this place was more that irritating too, the chill of the Land of Crows is far better. Taking in a breath he realised how she must get around a lot, evidently. Her smile, as genuine as it may seem was heavily out matched by that of the cunning guise that Maues had mastered over the years. Though not one good enough for entering Entei, one step in their grounds and the headmaster of Merlin would have him strung up to the ceiling by his hair on his arms. As for him, he enjoyed divulging just a little piece of information.
"I'm here to speak with some contacts... i guess you could say i've not seen them in a very long time, but with what they do im sure that time has... skipped by in a heart beat" he almost chuckled to himself. "I'm heading to the mountains simply to leave my mark... you know... an accomplishment i can set upon myself i guess you could say.". He spoke truth... but left out the important information. These contacts were corrupted agents from Entei's past, and they've travelled forwards in time, many times, just for Zoltan Maues. Leaving his mark in different places all over the world under each and every full moon. And soon, that mountain will also bear his mark, the second-from-last mark to adorn the surface of this, Magic Earth.

At the mention of contact she tilted her head to the side slightly. A gesture she did unconsciously when something odd had caught her attention or interest. The word choice in this case was what had done it. Adi thought it an odd word to use. Usually when talking about such things meant some sort of mission or undertaking of a task that was dangerous or secretive.
Not one to judge or be suspicious with a person that she did in fact barely know she did not ask further about it. The mountains however were a safe topic to discuss.
"You'll have to get back to me on how it was, I have yet to visit those particular mountains. I they are a beauty to behold however; I'm a bit jealous of you at the moment."
Adi honestly was jealous of Maues a bit. A Gypsy's life was all travel, and she loved it. However, one did not always get to go to places that were a beauty to behold. Mountain in particular unless a fairly large city was at its base she wouldn't go. Her livelihood depended on the money she earned from performances, if there were few people then fewer means to survive.
"Move it! Out of the way!" came rude but urgent voices over the crowd. These voices drawing Adi from her thoughts and to their direction. The yelling was in fact coming from a group of five guards rushing down street towards them.
Many of the patrons wanting to get their items and leave were rushing out of their way urgently. Trying not to get stepped on or trampled by the two guards on horseback. People pushing and shoving to get out of the way as commanded left little room between bodies, when there was so little to begin with. Not thinking much of it herself, Rur'Adika raised a hand to Maues chest and press him back while the other pulled Croix to the side. More people did the same and now it was more then just a hand pressed to his chest. Adi kept her face bowed however as the blush grew and the guards in their hurry went by.
'My apologies," she murmured trying to back up but still the people around them were pressed together like canned good.

She was jealous, oh, how she would be if she only knew what he was doing. It wasn't every day that someone had the ability to control time itself and bend it to his very own will. "I'll gladly let you know how it is.." he began, then hearing the guards coming by as the gypsie pressed herself against him. At first he was surprised, but then as he realised the plan he put his arm around her to keep her safe as they brushed by eagerly. When she took a step back however he couldn't help but miss the closeness he shared to her pulsing blood.
"Oh... don't you worry about that" he deviously admitted. Blinking twice, looking away in between he thought, and couldn't help but say "Have you ever heard of The Darkness?..." he grinned. "Just, one word of advice. If the Darkness comes like the old beggars say these days. Stay away from the fog. I hear to can ruin a girl's complexion these days..."

She would have replied with happiness to know he would tell her about his trip to the mountains. However, that was when the guards came and any furthering that conversation was dead at that moment in time. Any thoughts of furthering it along however were dead in the water when she felt his arm around her waist.
The shock of it caused to stiffen out of surprise, and remain that way out of nervousness. The heat of his arm along with the weight and pressure of holding her against him was impossible to not noticeable. Made the blood rush in her veins as her heart pounded sending the blood to her cheeks in a bright blush. Air caught in her throat for a few moments as the guards past, but when she stepped back and he let her, Adi's breath came back. However the blush wasn't leaivng as quickly as she would have liked.
Nervously she was running her hands through her dark tresses. "Yes..the mountains, I look forward to hearing about them..."
But then a different topic came up, one that cause the blood to drain from her face rather quickly. "The darkness..." she murmured, with weariness in her voice and the memory of the incident back in the Land of Crows; the fight, the white golden light, the beggar dying cries in her ears. Adi's memory was patchy and inconsistent; seeing some things, and unable to at others, along with hearing but unable to see. Some of it was completely erased from her memory and all she could remember was floating in a sea of white and golden light.
"I...will...but..." she murmured, unsure if she should ask about this, but he seemed so much more knowledgeable about all this. "...does the fog, look a bit like a blackish purple like mist...creatures not known to this world coming from it...sources of light being fatal to them?"
Looking up at Maues, her gaze was questioning but also worried. Had that been what she had fought and seen? She was silently pleading in her head for answers, she had separated from Nyru and Claudia back int the Land of Crows and went on her way. But still she had not fully overcome the experience of fighting a beast like that with unknown forces.

She seemed flustered, all the better. He wanted her to trust him, so.. with her next questions he felt he should answer at least to gain her respect and friendly trust. The detail that she gave though... he was almost confused. If he knew how to summon creatures from the darkness he would have done it a long time ago. "yes..." he began, interested mildly. "It does..." he then raised a brow and looked at her intently. Muttering faintly to himself he seemed to say something about something happening, finally. He then spoke back up ad said "the fog brings dark things... Ru... and it would seem things far sooner than expected. " he then began to hurry his thinking. Darting his gaze up towards the northerne dge of the city, behind the King's Landing cliff in the center of the city he could see the edge of the Aerie Peaks.
"My apoligies, " he said, looking back to her. "but it would seem i must be off... those mountains aren't always this mild and light to roam" he then began to back off into the crowd whilst staring back at her and waved once more and said with a devilish grin "Until next your fate crosses my path..." and disappeared into the crowd.

His confirmation rather then putting her at ease, only made her that much more anxious over the encounter. Strange and confusing, so many odd things happened that day, and not to even to get started on the orb she had yet to even look at or touch. Some how though, even without seeing it or remembering putting it away, she knew it was with her....some how.
Rur'Adika hadn't caught his mutterings, caught up in her own thoughts it was him speaking up that caught her attention once more. More so the fact that he called her Ru...most only called her Adi, however, few called her Ru and most of them more of then just friendships.
"If I run into it...I'll stay clear..." she said fully taking in the warning and the dark warning sound of his voice. Adi did not need to be told twice to stay away, but part of her knew that if others were at risk she would try and help.
At Michael's announcement of having to leave, she nodded. "Of course," she murmured, though she was regretful to see him leave so soon. The smirk made her grin as did his words she couldn't help but chuckle. He was gone shortly after.
"...goodbye..." she murmured before tugging Croix along towards where ever her feet took her.

The journey from Neutral City wasn't half as bad and long as she thought, to think only last year she would have been taking the public transport here on the Zeppelin... made her realise how much things have changed. With her husband now going on to do extra work for the Asmodius Corps, she was going to have a lot more time on her hands. And after watching him day after day return home from a good day's work at the Magistrate - it made Leah want to do something more productive. The Guardians get to explore and help all the time, she wanted to have quests of her own for once, it felt like the right thing to do. Better yet, she got looking around and heard about some guy... Aaron... Aaron somebody... she thought, as she entered the Great Bazaar.
Biking over on her motorcycle made the journey so much more enjoyable, not to mention now, with this body armour she felt unbeatable. Luckily her father was in the syndicate, so she was able to get some of the equipment, but convincing some of the scientists from Entei to specially craft her most of the rest was... expensive, she even had to prove she knew how to use it. Nothing some experience watching and learning from her husband couldn't help with. Walking through, her heeled boots brushed through the dust and occasionally exposed brickwork on the floor, there was too many traders to count with tents, stools and entire shops open with bustling customers, the occasional drunkard from last night being kicked around.
She didn't know where to start, unfortunately, she forgot his last name, and knew he was some sort of... bounty hunter or something... monster hunter? Troll hunter? Oh, bother. Then someone barged into her, but he had the cheek to blame it on her! "Watch where you're going missy! Just cus you're all geared up don't give you the right!" at first she wasn't sure how to react, he was so mean! She just stared at him with an awkward expression until he double-took and then said "Eh! First you walk into me like some nomad and now im some sort of filth, look at yer self!". That was the last straw for her, she narrowed her brows and then took her fist close to his chin and said very bitterly, quietly "Listen here, you pompous oaf. Next time you're blaming your insufferable judgement on someone else, you might want take a look at yourself! I could throw you out of this bazaar and make it look like you jumped in fear" she threated, for the first time feeling adrenaline pulse through her. He scowled at her, and only half took the threat, getting ready to shake off her abnormal courage against him.
Stupid people. Not everyone in Occulas was born with skills and natural talent, sure, most of the population had some sort of magical skill, or enhanced endurance, but only half the population coudl actually train and use it to it's best! This man, was most definitely one of the few that lacked in most of it! Heavens forbid what Occulas was like when the races were more pure and younger, when almost everyone had more power than now. All Leah wanted to do was find Aaron, she knew she had to, she felt it in her heart like she knew him, or needed to know him,, but coudln't remember the face. Either way, she knew that through him she could do something with her life.
Oh a thousand words One thousand embraces Will cradel you Making all of your weary days seem far away They'll hold you forever ...when I turn back the pages Anger might have been the answer What if I'd hung my head and said that I couldn't wait But now I'm stroing enough to know it's not too late

Aaron Eveans God his head felt weird. Maybe it was something in that goop from earlier, a rather sobering thought. What if that slime was somehow slowly poisoning him?! And...perhaps he should calm down. It was probably nothing. Shaking his head and raking a hand through his hair, Aaron sighed, making his way over to the weapon's stall where his gun awaited him. Hopefully it was ready, his step felt just the slightest bit off center without that familiar weight at his side. God it would be nice to get it back. Picking it up from the stall with an apologetic smile at Ronz who rolled his eyes and waved him off, Aaron set off in the market with a puzzled frown and slow gait. Sticking a cigarette between his lips as he ambled through, looking at the stalls, he turned about, looking for...some...thing? Some...one? Either way, he was looking. It felt important and his instincts were very rarely wrong. Lighting the end of his cigarette with a click of his slightly soggy lighter, he saw something out the corner of his eye. Tucking the lighter back in his pocket, his fingers began to drum on the grip of his gun as he turned, staring into the crowd for that person with the black hair. A name danced on the tip of his tongue as he stalked in the direction of who he was looking for. He knew it was a she. That was about it. "Lola? Lina? Lena?" He muttered under his breath, trying to find the right name with a mix of syllables.

As the fat little man wiggled his nose up at her and went about his things again, muttering some sort of words to the others he was with, a cool breeze brushed through the thousands of legs that walked through the bazaar. Continuing through the crowd, Leah felt her chest begin to calm as her anger subsided like a slowly dying flame. It was so difficult not to get pushed into someone in the tighter sections of the bazaar, everyone was so quick to jump to the offers being called out, not like all of the crap here was real anyway! But these dodgers didn't realise that, or did, and thought they'd be able to sell them somewhere else. The Land of Crows for example, ever since that place reappeared, traders have been making store at Southport hoping for buys, but Leah heard the natives, the Daywalkers weren't so naive.
Her gaze hopped between many pairs of shoulders and weaved between many heads, like posts sticking out the ground that moved in random directions. She just had a hunch that this guy would be here, but why couldn't some bloke like that appear out of no where! She then found herself thudding shoulders with a rather heavy built guy besider her, the sudden smell of smoke rushing through her lungs like a distant memory reminded her of someone she knew. Being quick to apologise this time, as it was her that was lost in her thoughts, she looked over her shoulder and turned "Terribly So-" and then she saw him. NArrowing her eyes at him she cocked a hip and rested a hand on one side, "I... know you" she said.
"You're name doesn't happen to be Aaron does it?"
She couldn't remember who this guy was, had no memories with him whatsoever, like it was a dream from years ago that she could never recall any more, just vaguely remember knowing about it, like deja vu. However, he felt like no stranger.
