The droid was now very nervous.this was the kind of statement that, had it have been spoken in basic, would have already started a fight. he tried to relay the message to Akayan as best as he could "Da koos ad yayna bahbit neeta"(He doesn't mind talking to us.)

the instincts ceased their incessant chatter at him, but something was still bothering him."Chee, ashuna huss Ysas?'(Wait, aren't we equals?)

this confused the Droid too, so he might as well ask mostly verbatum."You're already a padawan?"

M'arek shook his head. "I am a youngling, yet to be chosen by a master." M'arek allowed his gaze to drift forward to the now cleared out training arena. he basically had this one all to himself. The other younglings left him alone to do as was his wont; constantly fighting in it. Even his free time was spent in combat, while other younglings might meditate or go to the libraries, M'arek basically spent his entire day outside of classes here. The arena was definitely the worse for wear under his constant practice. It looked years older than the other arenas, cracks and splits in the stone punctuated by craters. He took a breath. "If you would like, you might join me for a simple challenge?" It wasn't often (read: never) that M'arek had a partner in combat. M'arek began programming his specifications in the panel that would be used to call out the droids.

The droid was relieved..somewhat. "Goot koos gydeha netto."(he wants to invite you to an exercise)

Akayan smiled an invisible smile. this was the sort of thing he was looking forward to in his training. his schooling hadn't even started yet, but he could care less. this was the sweet release he was waiting for."Ibana"(yes)

"He accepts. I will be watching from a safe distance"

M'arek grinned and hit the button that activated the droids. He stepped forward into the center of the ring, his training saber hilt hanging loosely from his relaxed left hand, almost as if he was bored with the whole ordeal. He took a deep breath and stared blankly forward as the whirring underneath the stone floor shuffled droids to the tubes that would lift them to the surface, ready for battle. There was an awful lot of whirring. M'arek stood in the center of the ring for almost a minute, just waiting. And then the whirring stopped, and the subtle hum of elevating platforms began the ascent of the droids. He glanced sideways at the Jawa and smirked his unusual, cocky grin, a wild, hungry glint entering his eyes before looking forward as the sound of six yellow lightsabers hummed into existence. M'arek's eyes froze over and he charged forward, slashing at the three on the left.

Akayan watched as the droids arose from the unknown depths underneath the platform with a hunger that was uncommon to most....if not all jedi. Akayan had been forced to restrain himself all these years. this was his time to let loose. as he saw the Mirialan run to the left, he dasghed to the right, his vibrant green training saber in hand. when he nearly closed the distance, his diminuative form lept at the Droids' collective waists, spinning clockwise with a broad horizontal slash "UTINNI!!!"

M'arek's initial attack took the droids by such surprise that he was able to slash directly across the photoreceptor and watching the droid drop like a pile of scrap. He stepped off of the falling droid and caught the two attacks of the remaining fighters on his saber, parrying both of them and pushing them off, bringing his saber down and around from the left, hoping to slash across both of the droid's chests and end his portion of the fight immediately. M'arek's eyes were hot now, and he was hungry for battle. His entire face had contorted into a bizarre and fierce semblance of its normal self. His transformation was almost complete: He looked nothing like his old self. Not in the way he carried himself or the way he behaved.

Things went a little different that he would've hoped, but it went well all the same. thanks to his size, none of the droids' yellow sabers came anywhere close to his robes. his slash left somewhat to be desired however.Droid 4 saw it coming and as the blade came close, and deflected it inadvertently to his comrades in line. as Akayan descended, the result was much the same with Droid 5, being drifted aside like nothing. Droid 6 however was not as fortunate. Akayan's descent had almost ceased, but he was still at high enough level to whirr through both of the droid's metal kneecaps. Akayan noticed that as the droid went down, the eyes of the droid lost their light. this amount of 'trauma' was apparantly enough to power them down. and that was all he needed. he righted himself as his feet planted into the ground, and set off to slash again. he hoped to end it with the next strike. he closed the distance once more, the droids now waiting for the leap, but instead, he ran between them, jumping only once he was safely behind them, and spun clockwise once more for a sweeping cleave.

It seemed like M'arek's initial luck was gone, and the droids were studying his demeanor to highlight flaws in his technique.. They were legion. He was clumsy, unformed, and clumsy. He had no problem allowing the force to guide his defense, and effortlessly parried the two attacks, taking them on his blade and striking back with another wide, sweeping blow. The second droid in the set avoided his blow, but the third one (apparently more talented) struck its saber against M'arek's and blasted his sword back, leaving him open. M'arek tried to spin and slash again, stepping back to get some room to breathe. He wasn't having the best of luck in these close quarters, and he needed to rethink his attack plan.

And things had been going so well. in Akayan's haste , he failed to realize that droids like this would've been able to swivel 360 degrees at the waist to prevent this sort of thing. which is exactly what happened with 4. 4 kept his optical sensors on akayan the whole way, and was prepared to defend himself. 5 only swiveled once he heard the wroaom of Akayan's blade, catching it on his own in the nick of time. in order to repay his cohort for the treatment that he got last time this happened, he set Akayan on his companion, but 4 was ready. catching Akayan's blade on his own, he forced the youngling to the ground by the clash, and tried to take advantage. luckily, Akayan was already in a position to block, so he was able to catch his opponents' blade as well. Akayan leveraged himself to his left, switching to a reverse grip, while attempting to slash out their shins.

M'arek didn't connect with his strike, taking his step back and re-evaluating his current situation. He knew that if he continued to let them live, he'd only be risking them getting lucky or himself getting sloppy. The longer this battle dragged on, the higher his chances of being defeated got. But he knew that his biggest weakness was when he was fighting only one opponent, due to shii-cho's wide slashes.. That means he couldn't waste his force power yet; it would only put him at greater risk and make his winning this fight all the less likely. He pressed forward again, his attack being deflected harmlessly before he caught their attacks again on his saber. He kicked at the second droid and pushed it back, hopefully opening it to a counterattack soon.

It seemed to work for the most part. Droid 4 managed to deflect his slash , and attempted a downward vertical cut, but by then the Jawa was long gone. Akayan was knocked off course enough that he had to circle in towards 5, and thus giving 5 an opportunity at a preemptive strike. this too missed, and Akayan continued his trajectory, cutting through the right shin of the droid, knocking it over. even this small amount was enough to de-activate it apparently, and Akayan didn't complain. all that was left was his nemesis, 4. dashing in towards his foe, he performed a rising vertical slash with his reverse grip to try and catch him off guard.

Akayan lifted into the air, but instead of being met by the droid's chassis, he felt the clash of a blade as 4 defended himself. this was, however, a good thing. he reached out with his stubby little legs, and his shins met the metal of the droid's waist. doing a very menacing crunch, he attempted to bury his blade up to the hilt into the droid's chest. he wouldn't be able to last there long, but he might be able to make it work for now, which was all that mattered.

M'arek didn't make contact again. He was getting upset. He caught both of their sabers on his own and held them close for a moment before roaring and blasting them back with a swing of his saber, spinning rapidly and leaping forward and stepping off the knee of the third droid, aiming a kick at its face, slashing his saber at the head of the second. He was aiming to finish this fight right now. This had gone on too long, and all of his attacks were completely useless. This boy was nothing like the one from before. The other one was relaxed, in control, distant. This one was so concentrated on the present that he couldn't tolerate an event that was going to progress into the future. His entire cold appearance was gone now. He didn't even notice that a crowd of younglings and other jedi were gathering around him and Akayan's practice arena, watching the craziest test self-imposed on the younglings in a long time. The other younglings might challenge one or two droids, but six?

M'arek apparently attempted a maneuver that was too advanced for him. While functionally, he did not suffer for it, he did not connect with his attack, and when he leaped off of the third droid, he slashed down at the two lightsaber attacks that followed him and put a little bit more distance between them. He leaped forward and kept low to the ground, dashing low and turning mid-step, slashing at the backs of the droids' knees and hoping to roll backwards to return to his feet. He was beginning to wonder at the wisdom of cranking these droids up this high and trying to take them.. The day may yet come when he is to regret this.
