Whoa... That was definitely a case of Too Much Information there. Boaz certainly didn't need to know that Mathias was no longer a virgin nor his bedroom habits with his partner. The older blond remained silent as he went about the physical examination process, the only reaction to his younger teammate's earlier comment evident from the flush on his face as he gave him his findings then elaborated on what was to come next with as straight a face as he could muster at this point.
"Wasn't expecting to find anything abnormal but it is always good to be sure." He offered him a small smile then got up to walk over to the medication trolley to prep a stronger analgesia along with a mild sedative as he said he would. "No drug allergies I take it? We'll give this injection a couple of minutes to get you all relaxed and comfortable before we start applying the cast to keep it nicely immobilized for your wrist to heal which will take about six weeks to three months on average." He paused for a bit to let that all sink in.
"Any questions..?"

The flush on Boaz's face gave away a certain fact about the other male that Mathias decided was best tucked away for later examination. Obviously he was shy about bedroom talk. That was good information to know. Though to be fair, he was focused a bit more on the pain throbbing in his wrist than how squicked out his cohort might get at sordid details. Shaking his head he held up his good hand. "I'm allergic to sulfa based drugs, if it's a sulfa I can't take it... It makes my throat swell shut." His mother had a similar allergy which had made antibiotics a fun experience for both of them. "No, no questions," he said, shaking his head slowly. "Carry on."

An allergy to sulfur based drugs. Boaz didn't foresee any issues with that since Mathias wouldn't require any antibiotics today. After double checking the vials he had retrieved from the trolley to ensure that he had what he needed, he glanced at the younger male's way and gave him a nod. "Got it. I'll include that in your records in a bit after we're done tending to your wrist."
Sticking a needle into the first vial to transfer its content into the syringe, he set it back down then repeated the same action with the next one. "I'm almost done here. I know you're in pain but do you think you're able to transfer yourself from the chair to the examination couch right over here?" With his attention still focused on the syringe in his hand, he tapped it gently a few times to get rid of the bubbles within before putting it down to explain why he felt that it was necessary for Mathias to move from his current position. "The sedative may knock you out for a bit and it would probably be for the best if we have you lying down and comfortable before I begin manipulating your wrist to set the cast in place."

Mathias nodded, doing his best to support his arm, he moved slowly over to the examination couch, reclining on it and trying to make it easy for Boaz to much with his arm as needed. "Alright, well if I start snoring it ain't my fault." He smirks at the other male. "Worse case I bum you for a ride home."With that he relaxed and let his head rest against the couch.

Wheeling the procedural trolley over, he grabbed a spare pillow to place atop it then gestured for Mathias to rest his injured wrist on it the moment he had eased himself on the examination couch and made himself comfortable. "I've had worse on some of the nights when I was stationed at the ER." He cracked wryly, rolling up the other's sleeve then tearing open an alcohol pad to disinfect the site that he intended to administer the injection to shortly.
Picking up the syringe, he held Mathias' gaze for a bit so that he knew what was coming then gave him the shot. "If you're still around by the time I knock off work, certainly. Wouldn't want you falling down the stairs en route and having to be brought back again, would we?" He informed him with a smile then went about preparing the bandages and plaster of Paris that he would need to create the cast while allowing some time for the medication to work their charm.

There were very few things Mathias was a lightweight on. Hard drugs and pain meds were one of them. He didn't know if it was a genetic thing or not, but it wasn't long before he felt nice and fuzzy, anything that might have been a witty retort to Boaz probably came out as gibberish until he finally faded completely. He woke several hours later, groaning and feeling absolutely miserable. "Someone get the plate of the truck that hit me?"God, what sorta bender had he gone on.

Boaz was worried initially when Mathias was down and out as a result of the shot he had administered and didn't seem to be waking up any time soon long after he was done with his cast. He had gone back to check and double check the dose to ensure that it was appropriate for his body weight and not a case of an accidental overdose on his part then gotten him transferred to the observation area with the request to inform him as soon as the younger male started to wake from his drug-induced slumber. His vitals were stable so that was reassuring at least but he made sure that he documented his reaction to the given medication nonetheless so that a similar incident could be avoided if he needed to be brought into the hospital for other reasons in the future.
He was already done for the day and waiting patiently by Mathias' side when he heard him groan and mutter something about being hit by a truck, heaving a sigh of relief as he stretched out a hand to gently touch his forearm while he spoke. "I'm here Mathias. Nothing's hit you. This is just the effect of the shot I gave you before applying the cast on your wrist." He paused for a bit to let him process what he had said proper and hopefully regain his bearings before going on.
"Now tell me, how are you feeling? Think you're feeling up to heading back home with my help?"

"Turn of phrase, I feel like I went through an all night bender... What in hell did you give me, drain cleaner?" Mathias grumbled, taking his sweet time sitting up and rubbing the bridge of his nose between two fingers of his good hand. "I could use some water, my head is pounding and my mouth is full of cotton."Mathias had forgotten to mention his lightweight when it came to the good anesthetic drugs, but he'd been focused on more important matters. "I'll hit you up on that ride home, I'm not sure I want to walk all the way back to my apartment."He finally got himself upright and nodded to the other man, not quite sure why he felt so completely drained. "To be fair, I wouldn't mind a quick pick me up, but I'm in no condition to snag one... if you catch my meaning..." he pantomimed the act of stealing energy from a civilian, but left it at that.

"Nothing of that sort." Boaz chuckled good naturedly, somewhat amused by Mathias' grumbling as he helped him sit upright before getting him a cup of tepid water. "I should have gone easy on the analgesia and sedation back there instead of giving you the full dose at one shot. Sorry..." He offered the cup along with an apology for his mistake.
Pausing to contemplate Mathias' suggestion for something to get him back on track and possibly boost the speed of his recovery at the same instant, he nodded a few times in agreement. "I guess we could stop by the park to grab something along the way..." The park was never short of victims to drain energy from. He knew that for a fact and though he was usually opposed to utilising a precious energy orb for the purpose of rejuvenation, he went along with the idea for once seeing as he was partly to blame for Mathias' current condition.

Mathias shrugged, "Or we don't bother and I just suck it up like a champ, either way - we make do." He had been joking to put it mildly, something he was coming to realize the other male didn't have a keen grasp on. Or he just had a different sense of humor than he did. In either case. "Well let's get the hell out of here before my girlfriend wonders why I haven't texted her all day."

It wasn't so much of Boaz being the serious type who couldn't appreciate a joke really. He just was never good at telling when someone was joking or serious, hence his default assumption that Mathias meant exactly what he said earlier rather than think otherwise.
"It's your call. Anyway, let's get you home first then see from there." He had retrieved Mathias' address from his hospital records so that ought to save them some trouble, especially with the other's somewhat inebriated state.

Mathias nodded, standing slowly as to not cause himself to not cause his head to spin off in three different directions all at once. It was bad enough as it was, feeling as wretched as he did, to squint against the constant flicker of the fluorescent lights of the hospital. He hated feeling like this. It was like he'd been completely washed out and hung up to dry. He made a mental note never to put himself in this position again. "Let's go then..." He grunted, waiting on Boaz to indicate where was where they needed to go. baby_gwing Feel free to post up the next thread if you want XP
