"I took a day. Me n' Nevada went to Hawaii, of all places. It was fun. I had never been there before. We could go wherever you wanted. I'll even let you pick. That's 'cause I'm a nice guy."
Tuck gave her a cheeky grin.
He held Herryk aloft, and the weapon's runes sparked and arced, coalescing into a solid blue shield. Tuck's grin only grew broader.
"We're on a roll today, ain't we."

Hawaii? That sounded fun. She had no idea where she would pick if she had the chance to pick anywhere in the world. Heidi wasn't exactly a world traveler, she had hardly been a country traveler. "Sooo..like..another date?" She sounded hopeful.
Why do you not use it? Matilda suddenly pleaded. Please~. I beg of thee, use me.
Heidi tried not to frown. But I like what happens if he wins.
Release, I need it!
But..
Heidi did actually aim, but her arrow was headed right for Herryk instead of at Tuck himself.

Tuck was eyeing Matilda warily - last thing he wanted was to end up in the infirmary.
Again.
Instead of attacking, he readjusted his grip on Herryk, that easy grin never fading.
"You want to go on another date with me?"

Matilda insisted. She insisted so much that she completely ignored Heidi's refusal to use her charge, building up an arrow that screeched in Heidi's ear as the girl drew her string. It was easier to release a charge on her own without consent when Heidi wasn't the one actually in control of the arrows. The girl blinked, her eyes darting to the arrow, before she sighed and released. Fine.
The arrow gave an ear-piercing shriek as it sailed through the air right for Tuck and Herryk, but only until it hit the axe. It bounced harmlessly off the flat side of Herryk's blade.
"..Maaaaybe...?" Heidi grinned.

Tuck's smile grew a little wider as he watched Heidi. A little more predatory, a little more cocky.
"You better start thinkin' about what you want if you win, then," he chuckled, "because if you come up with somethin' better than I did, I might just lose on purpose."
Tuck moved towards Heidi again, Herryk glancing off of her Fear shield without doing much damage.

Okay, so if Tuck won he got two nights and a date off island. Heidi really liked his deal, but she had a feeling he wouldn't be terribly proud of her if she purposely threw the spar to let him win. Maybe the fact that she wanted to spend time with him enough to do that would um..make it better..?
Maybe?

Heidi hummed, turning so Herryk hit the back of her shoulder before she turned to try and get behind Tuck, drawing back for an arrow and backing away. "Ummm...if.." What did she want that she hadn't already offered him? "If I win...I waaaaant.." She hummed. "Two nights in my room instead of yours," Heidi tossed that out there with a little shrug. A change of scenery would be nice. "Annnnd.." There had to be more to it than that.
What did she want? There had to be something she wanted more than a date with Tuck. To be honest she was just happy spending time with him, she was starting to care less about monopolizing him after his offer to take her off the island. He was the one asking her to stay night after night..so...
"Instead of one leave day this month, I want your two days next month." Finally she released the arrow that had been building up since she started considering what she wanted.

Tuck squinted at Heidi. He really didn't have a problem with her terms - in fact, for him, it was a win-mother ******** situation.
"How long we gotta keep fighting before I lose?"
He dove in for his next attack, a weak and half-hearted move that landed across her hip.

"Until you feel like you can't handle me anymore~." Heidi was pretty sure this grin was going to become a permanent feature on her face.
His axe hit her hip and she squeaked, hopping back away from him and raising her bow in a more defensive position. "Hey now, don't hold back just 'cause I decided on what I want," said the girl who had wanted to do the exact same thing just a minute ago.

"You're a brat," Tuck grinned and charged ahead, using Herryk's blunt edge to bash against Matilda.
While he was in the vicinity, Tuck dropped a kiss haphazardly against Heidi's forehead before stepping back.
"Maybe I'ma let you win."

Heidi stuck her tongue out like the eighteen-year-old young lady she was. "Tell me something I don't know," she retorted while adjusting her grip on the bow to hold it like a bat. She had swung her arms back, ready to hit Tuck with the bow itself instead of an arrow, when she felt Tuck's lips against her forehead.
She blinked. "Don't steal my ideas." Wait. Crap! Uh..save it! Save it!
Yeah, no. She couldn't think of a way to save it.
"You're trying to distract me." It was a simply an assumption, she wasn't actually sure if that had been Tuck's intention or not.

Tuck didn't even attempt to attack. All he did was stand there, leaning on his axe.

Heidi blinked, and then she narrowed her eyes and eyed him with suspicion. "Why would you distract me if you want to lose?" She moved closer, lowering her bow to catch Herryk's handle in the curve of one of Matilda's blades and tugged it out from under him.
"I want a kiss~." If he was going to distract her she was going to distract him right back.

Tuck slowly wandered up to Heidi, dimples bracketing his lips. He drew up close, real close, almost as if he planned to give Heidi the kiss she wanted. He was so close that he could feel her breath on his lips.
And then he drew back and clobbered Matilda with Herryk before darting away, laughing the entire time.
"Come and get it."

"Yes, just one kiss." Heidi watched him come closer, tightly grasping the handle of her bow with both hands. She rubbed her lips together for a second until Tuck was close, holding her breath and waiting anxiously for the kiss. She even closed her eyes and tilted her head up to receive the kiss she had asked for.
...And then she didn't get it.
Instead she felt Matilda being smacked from her hands by a weapon hitting her. The banshee shrieked unhappily in Heidi's head and very effectively pulled the girl from whatever little daydream had been going through her head at that moment.
She was blushing again, eyes wide. He tricked her! That jerk! Heidi pouted and drew back for an arrow, one that sparked with white light and shrieked as it sailed through the air. It landed in the ground beside Tuck. Damnit. "That was a dirty trick, Tuckella." She wasn't really mad, just embarrassed.
