CarnEvil, it seemed an apt name for what had supposed to be a pleasant evening at the Carnival had turned into.

At least the latest set of stitches were out of his side.

Athene hadn't been patrolling long when the message came through on his senshi phone about another senshi training session and he had considered it for a bit before deciding that he would check out this session as he had checked out the last and sent a message to his fellow PSSG members with the details in case they were around and interested.

On the way he had come across a Page out on patrol, the other vaguely familiar in some way, although Athene didn't recall a name - maybe one he'd seen during a group meet up or something. He'd suggested that the other might in interested in the training to and given them the directions he'd been given, but wasn't sure if the other would take the decision to come or not.

On arriving at the facility he gave a quiet smile to those around that he recognised and went to see if there was any name stickers - after all there had been last time round.

------------------------------------------------------

Falias had actually been planning on trying to track down Camelot again to see if the Knight could answer some of his questions.

He'd tried before, not long after that carnival, which had turned into something of a nightmare - with all those youmas and in particular that huge bear youma.

He'd met a kid who had called himself a senshi that night, Avior. The kid had been cornered one of the youma and Falias had managed to rescue him and the kid had returned the favour later on - the cuts on Falias' hand from where the glass he'd been using had cut into his palms had only recently healed.

He hadn't gotten to far into trying to find the Earth Knight, when he'd found himself hailed by an elaborately dressed girl, who looked mid-teens or so.

She'd called herself a senshi as well. They'd talked a little and she'd mentioned something about a training session for senshi and knights and given him the location before she'd headed off.

Falias had continued trying to find Camelot as he debated whether or not to go, but had eventually decided to check it out - maybe he could find some more information - and training kind of seemed like a good idea.

By the time he reached the gymnasium that the senshi had told him was the location of the training quite a few people seemed to be there already.

As he entered Falias had a look around as he tried to work out what to do next.

Feeling both excited and nervous, Ida made her entrance into the training session with little fanfare. She had a different fuku than last time and her attitude was markedly different than before. A few of these people she knew, but a lot she didn't in more than a passing fashion. The carnival was a big driving force behind a lot of the people here today and the senshi of Orchids was no exception.

She might have started a team with Tsui and Athene, but that didn't mean the three of them were any good at fighting together yet. That disaster had proven it quite well. If nothing else, with some practice here they could get used to fighting together in an environment that was less likely to get one or all of them killed.

Pressing a hand over her heart, she felt a pulse from her starseed and she sighed, remembering how it had felt when the lieutenant had thrust her hand into her chest to grasp it. Ida had been one of the lucky ones and her starseed had stayed inside of her, but it had been a closer call than she cared for.

Pausing with her hand still over her chest, she searched the crowd of early birds for face she recognized. Well, there was Shang. It was good to see he was keeping up with training. And there was Maia, who had run the session last time... Oh, there was Athene! His text had said he was coming and it seemed he had arrived before she or Tsui had.

"Athene!" Ida called as she waved her arm over her head, trotting over in her little purple boots to join her team mate.

"Yes ma'am." Massalia nodded to Maia politely, then watched the others filing in. Large brown eyes studied them as they came in, but he didn't offer his name again. Not yet.

He studied the other chibi senshi with a sense of caution, and frowned a bit, wary. Who were they? They all seemed to be close... He wondered if he was going to be a pest, then frowned. But there were other kids.

Massalia frowned, and crossed his arms, studying them.

Hmmmmm.

"Ha. Well it's not my first fashion choice, but I'll survive," Alfheim said with an easy smile and a shrug. Far as he saw it, the good came with the bad. Less corsetty, but he had to trade it for more emphasis on hair and a lack of proper foot protection-- less than he had before.

"If I get that kid who stomps on feet again, I'll forfeit," He joked.

He offered Pompeii a light wave and a quiet hey. She seemed shy, but apparently knew the family through similar means, and he had to repress a joke about Maia making all Shang's friends for him. Lassell was a relief to the impending third wheel possibilities, but the topic shift to 'what happened' made him distinctly uncomfortable.

It didn't need to be explicitly said that the tension was the carnival and the mass slaughter that happened in it's gates. Alfheim might've spent the bulk of the battle as a loner, but it had it's effects all the same, and he had made it out largely unscathed, physically. He could only guess what happened to the others.

He acknowledged Lassell's greeting with subtle body language before reading the name tag and crossing his arms. "I'm not putting on one of those stickers," He announced. Meant to be teasing, he was trying to at least keep the atmosphere light when he forgot it all in an instant to dare to ask, "What happened to Maia?"

Columba's gloved hand moved in a salute to Maia's command, but she was busy with her newly acquired Sharpie and drawing an exaggerated block font on what was supposed to be her name tag. By the end of it, it looked pretty stylish! Even if you couldn't read any actual lettering for crap.

"Hello we are supposed to mingle I guess," She said with absolutely no pauses as she targeted another chibi and held out a stiff hand to Massalia in an awkward mimicry of offering a hand shake.

"I'm Sailor Columba! Are you new? Your hair is very interesting."

Juno got messages from time to time on her cellphone. And in truth.. when they came from anyone other than her princess she often just glanced over them before completely ignoring them. Like to the point of rolling her eyes back and tossing her phone back into that invisible wall of subspace.

She should have been trying harder.. she knew that quite well. But at the same time.. this whole thing felt so lonely without Chibimoon or her Amazon sisters. What was the point if none of her 'family' was around? She could still try to do things in the name of her princess but... Juno was not the sharpest tool in the shed. Fighting.. yeah she could do that. Putting together plans or working towards something bigger and better then that? She was pretty at a loss without her team.

As per usual when Juno noticed the message she'd skimmed it vaguely, however this time she'd gotten caught on one word, stopping and staring at it for a long while. 'Gymnasium'

A familiar and comforting word from her past. One that sent adreneline coursing through her veins. As a senshi she used the world as her gymnasium.. but the opportunity to actually try out her senshi speed and jumping on actual equipment... Her eyes backtracked to re-read the message for all the important information.

Making her way through the door, the Amazonian looked straight past the many people milling around and chatting to the equipment scattered about.

The greetings and filling out of a name tag were almost after thoughts as she made her way into the gym, carefully eyeing the equipment, her excitement growing. Sure she'd expected a balance beam.. but bars too? Her hands were subconciously gripping and releasing.

Shang laughed and nodded, "I've got proper foot wear, but I imagine I'd feel the same way if I had your shoes. It was nice to feel a bit of ease, but the ease didn't last long as Lassell came up and presented them with the elephant in the room, Shang didn't think most people were aware of. Of course he wouldn't know because he hadn't been at the carnival. No instead, he been a the hospital tended the wounded who came in waves.

He looked to his sister than back to Lassell, "same. I can't help it. I've been keeping a eye on her of course. She moved back home and she seems just fine but ..."

He looked to Alfheim and gave a weak frown, "when she was at the carnival, a negaverser pulled her starseed completely out of her body. She nearly died, told me she could feel herself slipping away. A friend saved her, she didn't tell me who, not that I would know them, but afterwards she spent three days in a hospital."

He looked to Pompeii and Lassell, "its been stressful, but she stronger than she looks and a really determined spirit."

He sighed and looked to Alfheim, pretty aburptly changing the subject, "I've no desire to where a name tag either. I have a name badge at work ... do not really want to where one now."

He was pretty sure one would be slapped on him if he refused though.

Mingling was not exactly Ganymede’s forte. It might seem odd given that he had no problem conversing with people on terms he thought of as more normal—that being unpowered encounters—but a room full of Senshi and Knights had a way of making him rather uneasy. Mostly he chalked it up to prior experiences, ambushes, passionate arguments and the like, but the truth was he simply wasn’t as comfortable with himself as a Senshi as he was when he could go on pretending like this sort of stuff didn’t exist.

“He’s not going to get himself killed,” Ganymede mumbled to Val, sparing a glance toward Oberon to make absolutely sure he wasn’t doing anything to get himself in trouble, but as the Chibi was just talking to a cat Ganymede deemed him safe enough.

Ganymede stuck close to Valhalla as per usual, letting his eyes scan the growing crowd for any familiar faces. There were a few, but none he felt immediately drawn to, and so he made little effort to seem welcoming. He was sure his discomfort was quite evident in his expression.

A large gathering so soon after the Carnival seemed to him to be a bit hazardous, but he’d successfully been talked out of the house all the same. He could use the practice, of course-—he’d never been good in combat—but mostly he was here because Val had asked him to come, someone needed to keep an eye on Oberon, and Maia was hosting it, and since apparently she was one of his friends he sort of felt obligated to join in.

“Hi,” Ganymede gave Maia a weak greeting accompanied by a small, strained smile, feeling a little awkward around her now that he knew who she was. Gratefully, he took a name tag and a sharpie for the distraction provided by scrawling his name across the sticker—he left it simply as “Ganymede”—and surrounding it with a border of hearts, stars, and little lightning bolts before spending some time deciding where he wanted to place it on his bodice.

Eventually he stuck it on the left beneath his draping collar, a corner nestled close to the tail-feathers of his eagle brooch.

Then he had nothing to do but stand there and twiddle his thumbs, but that wasn’t really very distracting so he ended up picking at the blond curls hanging over his shoulder, examining the ends as if they interested him.

Palatine had not intended to come to another one of these training sessions. With the amount of teenagers and children running around, the last session had made her feel rather old—it was rather difficult to continue pretending as if she was only 27 when she thought it was quite obvious she was one of the older people in the room. That, and she had not really been very comfortable with the idea of fighting someone significantly younger than her.

She was going to have to get over that, she knew. Not only were most of her allies a fair bit younger, but her enemies would surely be as well.

Besides, the last session hadn’t been all bad. At least she’d gotten the chance to punch Sessrumnir in the face.

Even so, Palatine was not as enthusiastic to jump right in as some of the others might be, so she spent her time acclimating herself with the gym set-up and observing the Senshi and Knights as they continued to trickle in, having already gotten herself a name badge to affix onto her waistcoat—”Palatine, Page” it read. She saw one or two people she’d seen or encountered on previous occasions, her first opponent during the last session included. Then there were a couple of pages, three Chibis that she could see, a fair number of Eternals, a couple of cats, a Knight the same level as Camelot, and a smattering of mid-level Senshi and Knights.

She wondered momentarily if she should be impressed, but mostly she just continued to feel unsettled by their collective youth.

Might as well throw Palatine in, too. :[a

Massalia blinked at the other Chibi, shaking her hand cautiously. The last time someone he didn't know suddenly spoke to him, he got the magnificently tattered bow on his butt in exchange. Horatio was adorable, but really, why a Butt-Bow?

He was a BOY.

"Massalia." He said slowly. He didn't know anyone here, not really, so for now he was cautious. "...Yeah... I just learned how to turn into... This." He motioned to himself.

"This is my second time doing it. And thank you." He was proud of his mountain of fluff, and the boy smiled a little bit, almost preening like a peacock.

"So.... There's a lot of people. I should've brought food."

Like Flan. And something spicy.

Having located the stickers and snagged a sharpie, Athene had just finished writing Sailor Athene on one of the stickers when he heard a voice call his name.

Looking up and across in the direction he thought it had come from, a slight smile crossed his face as he recognised the super senshi heading in his direction.

"Evening Ida" his voice quiet as usual was friendly. "It's good to see you" he hadn't been sure if Ida or Tsui would be able to make it, but was happy to see his fellow PSSG team mate and friend. He offered over the stickers and sharpie in case Ida wanted it and pinned the sticker onto his brooch, although whether it would stay on for the whole of the evening was another story altogether.

Ida couldn't help beaming like the sun as she bounced up to her friend, feeling in her element. Every one here was on their 'side', more or less, and if they were lucky, there would be no party crashes as long as the cats kept up their dampening effect. There were already a sizeable crowd now and if there was anything Ida loved, it was groups she got to be apart of.

"Oh! Thanks." She said as she took the marker from Athene, writting her three letter name in a neat hand before she wrote Orchids below it in a smaller size. Not that it probably mattered what her sphere was, but she was always curious about others'. Lead by example, and all.

"It looks like we'll have a good turn out tonight! Did Tsui tell you if she was coming or not? I feel like this would be a great way to practice our teamwork if she came too." The senshi of Tigers had seemed to be busy lately, but Ida would never blame her for not being around as much as she wished she was. Everyone had lives outside of this... thing. Job? World? Whatever. Sometimes real life got in the way of being a senshi, though thankfully those instances had been fewer between for Ida.

PompeiiPompeii nodded in agreement to Shang’s comment about his sister. “I figured as much so here I am. I’m glad she is doing better.” And at this point her well of conversation dried up so she fell back on the old favorite of people watching. Of the many order members who had shown up none were well known other then Lassell, Shang, and Maia. Most appeared to have shown up at the last training session including Alfheim but she didn’t know anyone in truth… it still surprised her just how many people there were in this war between order and chaos.

“Is Zia coming?” The question popped out when Pompeii realized that Alfheim, while dressed differently, was the same young man who arrived at the last session with Zia. With her mind turned towards those she knew Pompeii wondered briefly how long Maia would let the four of them stand around before breaking up their group and force them to mingle… something Pompeii really would rather not do since she still wasn’t comfortable in large groups of strangers.

Valhalla gratefully took the name tag and sharpie from her, offering her a smile in response as he waited for the newcomers to get their handshakes and greetings in. He didn’t mind waiting his turn, and after she’d kissed a Page he hadn’t been acquainted with yet, he renewed his effort to keep himself grinning.

“Boyfriend...?” he wondered, curiously watching as the young page took his own nametag and wrote “Lassell” on it. Valhalla was careful not to stare or make things more uncomfortable than it could be, but he couldn’t help his curiosity when someone was obviously close to his friends.

“I’m fine,” he assured her once it seemed as though she had a moment. And... that was all he could think to say. He’d wanted to dote on how Ganymede had taken care of him for well over a week until he’d had his strength back, or how his mother had almost been hurt in the chaos since she’d been at the Carnival as well... but he couldn’t force himself to make such trivial small talk, and instead found himself taking the next few moments to write out “Valhalla” on his own nametag and stick it on the right side of his breastplate.

“You’ve got it on the wrong side, baby,” he mumbled, the pet name unconsciously slipping in as he reached out to fix the name tag, carefully peeling it off the lace and placing it on the right side of Ganymede’s bodice.

Oberon pouted as Sheena basically shooed him off to go and talk to other people... But he didn’t know who to talk to. They usually got annoyed with his presence or he said something to make them mad at him. But he would try...

The chibi of Adventure slowly stood from his spot and awkwardly brushed the non-existent dirt off his outfit. After being in a few rough spots over the last year, he could definitely notice his confidence in himself waning.

Regardless of how he felt, his attention was turned to the other two chibis he could see.

“They should include that in the message, to bring our own food,” Oberon chirped, approaching the other too with grin that was so natural it didn’t even look forced. “Every time I’ve been to one of these, there’s never been any food. I’ve requested it of course, but I guess there’s no one who wants to be in charge of something like that.”

He shrugged before grinning wider, “I’m Oberon,” he announced, looking over the two of them as if to inspect them. “Massalia and... Columba, right?” Not that he hadn’t overheard them talking, but he just wanted to double check.

“I don’t really think it matters what side it’s on,” Ganymede grumbled, continuing to pick at his hair.

He’d certainly never been told there were rules on how he should wear a nametag. It seemed a pointless thing to be corrected about, but he let Valhalla fuss over it and fix it if he thought it was really that important. Either way people would be able to read it.

He was mildly intrigued by the thought that Lily... Maia... might have a boyfriend, and turned his head to stare in the direction the page who’d kissed her had gone off in to get a better look at him now that Valhalla had pointed it out. Had they been hanging out as civilians, he might have gotten a bit intrusive and asked for all the details. He was curious; he hadn’t heard that Lily was dating someone, and as any true friend he would have insisted upon hearing how they’d met and when they’d started dating and what Lily really thought of him.

But there was a part of him that was having a difficult time associating Maia with Lily even now that he knew the truth—partly because he didn’t want to think of his friend frequently being in that sort of danger. Instead of spouting off the common questions, he satisfied himself with critically staring over at the page instead.

Kind of athletic looking... seemed a smidge older, maybe... it was worth investigating when he was in a more comfortable environment.

“Hmm, you owe me an explanation later,” he said to Maia in warning.
