Reaching out to tuck a loose strand of immaculately-straight hair back behind her ear where it belonged once more, Iddy accepted the compliment with her well-bred grace. "Even without my talent it'd be a waste not to. That voice, your energy?" Where a moment before there had been grace, now there was a light snort that needed no translation or key. She was too much the daughter of a business magnate to not see how foolish it would have been for Avery to not use it as she had in the past. It bled through into her musical life which Idris did not at all see as a bad thing.
Watching the magnetic pull that snapped the other two women towards each other was as interesting and almost as amusing as she had initially hoped. Yet Avery had admonished her to be nice, so she ought to. For now. Pushing her champagne aside slightly, fingers wrapped again around her mug of tea to disguise the movement of Idris' lips. There was no denying that something was amusing her but with the cup in place, neither Avery nor Liberty could see the question "Just the studio?" being mouthed above the rim of the cup.
Pulling herself back a bit, her voice was pleasant enough as the faithful Blackberry was pulled out and checked. "Perfect. I won't be around but there should be a musical track laid down by then so you can watch Avery work." Honestly, Idris was wondering if she shouldn't somehow excuse herself. What had started as a surprise guest now made Iddy feel like she was the one intruding. Yet she wasn't truly upset, certainly she was not jealous of the attention. She was just lamenting the cake.

Avery quelled her disappointment with another swallow of champagne. Thursday? that was weeks away from now, and they hadn't been alone together since the prior weekend.... The weight of Idris' calculated humor snapped her out of her thoughts and she shot the woman another look.
Was she being that obvious? Probably. Her lips pursed, before she continued, ignoring Idris. Perhaps Liberty wouldn't notice the violet haired woman's mirth, but it was blatant to her fellow Brit. "Come out with me tomorrow."
It wasn't exactly a request. "Iddy refuses and I want to go -- " Her mind leapt to find something that Idris obviously would be uninterested in, but that Liberty might want to try. "Shooting." She widened her eyes slightly at Libby. "I think it sounds fun. A client owns a local range and invited me down." That much was true, at least.

Even without my talent...
Fortunately, Liberty was looking towards Avery when she blinked in surprised. The lack of modesty was as alarming for the redhead as the kiss had been for Idris. She tried to remind herself that it was okay to be confident in oneself. In fact, it was probably better for Idris' health and happiness in the long run.
"Hm?"
Avery was talking again, interrupting any questions Liberty might have on why Idris did not want to be in the studio.
Shooting.
Shooting what? Avery's eyes widened, Liberty's narrowed slightly. Was it a camera exposition? Liberty didn't own one. How was she going to explain that to Avery?
"Oh."
A grin perked at the corners of her lips. If Avery was being invited, they would likely have guns there to borrow. All problems solved.
"That sounds fantastic. I'd love to. My marksmanship is probably a little rusty." Oh how wide that smile got. Liberty even forgot to subdue it when she glanced at Idris. After all, it was the girl's unwillingness to go that had given Avery the suggestion.
"What time?"

Contented with her tea and cake, now that a server had been quietly signalled to bring more out to the sudden threesome, Idris was more than happy to watch the interactions between Avery and Libby. Should she have been jealous, seeing the writing on the wall for her brief involvement with Ms. Hollister? Perhaps someone else might have been but that was not particularly in Idris' personality. Especially considering that she herself was smarting from the burn of a former involvement that had been much deeper than she'd been prepared to handle.
Which meant, of course, that her bad romance novels still featured badly-disguised versions of herself and said former love interest. Even now a story was spinning out in her mind from watching the interaction of the two. Princess Avery, drawn by the rough-and-tumble peasant Liberty but knowing that the relationship was forbidden. Was that the pull? Certainly Idris could not see anything else making it worthwhile. Unless, of course, the redhead did something extraordinary that the Welshwoman hadn't heard of.
Having spent time with Avery it was not entirely out of the question.
As always, fingers itched for a pen and pad of paper, a laptop, anything that would allow her to jot down her thoughts in the moment to be used later in one of her multitude of stories. It was like that with the music that sprang into her head as well, or really for anything that stimulated her mind. The only thing worse than not having thoughts was forgetting to write them down when you did have them.
Snapping back to the conversation, she attached a thought onto the tail end. "Yes, I do refuse to go shooting with you. I need my ears intact, not full of ringing for days."
