Darren was trying very hard to remain calm. He had hoped to sit near Rosy but that hadn't happened, having gotten lost in the press when they'd filed in. Grumbling a bit, he picked up his pencil and looked down at the sheets. They were incomprehensible to him. He didn't even notice one of pages was printed backward. He figured he'd just look for words he kind of recognized and go from there. This was going to be a looong test. Quote: Rolling a 1: One of your pencils (Haunted Pencils) immediately tries to attack you, biting you on your main writing hand. Ouch! Now you have to write it with your non dominant hand (or limb) Rolling a 2: You notice that one of the pieces of paper is printed backwards. Or maybe you don't. Maybe it's a test...Rolling a 3: One of your Haunted Pencils becomes intangible and half-sinks into your desk. You spend a good deal of time trying to get it out Rolling a 4: Whomever is seated directly behind you keeps on making weird sniffly noises that are really distracting. You can barely concentrate Rolling a 5: Your Haunted Pen jumps out and starts scribbling random doodles all over your desk, and anything it comes in contact with. You have to wrangle it to submission. Rolling a 6: Another note slips out from your envelope. It just reads "THE ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING IS MINIPET POOP"

Lately there had been many, many things on Thackery's mind, but an aptitude test had not been one of them. His future, sure, but a test...well, he had absolutely not even kind of been thinking about any kind of test at all. Even a little.
So the announcement over the ickycom had startled him into realizing he probably should have been thinking about his studies a little harder, especially considering the fact that he was in his third year here. Maybe listening better in his classes would have given him an indication that this test was coming up - surely they would have mentioned such a crucial exam beforehand. Woah, this was a lot of pressure!
He carefully shimmied between the rows of desks until he found an open one, where he wedged himself into the seat with his knees pulled up towards his chest. Yeah, this was the proper test-taking position. Once that was settled, he turned his attention to the envelope in front of him, frowning at the red lettering.
Okay, I can do this, he told himself, exhaling slowly. But the pen he held had different ideas, and began to doodle all over the desk. And then his hand, and then the envelope, and the edge of the test--
A startled, squeaklike sound escaped him as he frantically smashed the pen beneath both hands, effectively trapping it against the desk. He glared at it until it stopped wiggling so much, tentatively picked it up again, and poked it against the paper. Minimal doodling. He could work with this.

A certain rain demon was more confused about why he was here than the actual contents of the test.

Malodore was thoroughly bemused by this sudden requirement. It made sense for Snots and Knobs, but presumably Hobs had at least thought about the future a little bit. Hadn't they? Oh dear. Malodore swore under its breath as its pencil sprang out of its hand, apparently affected by the anxiety in the room, and tried to attack it. It grabbed at the pencil, only to suffer a sharp bite to its right hand. Not that it was too terrible, given that its hand was made of bloodmetal and therefore rather hard to hurt, but it was still a terrible distraction. Very rude. Still, it would have to do its best regardless...

Myr had filed in with the lot of them, frowning as he took a seat in one of the desks. They were squished in here tighter than anything, and he hoped that nothing would happen that would make the auditorium need to be evacuated.
That would be bad, and kind of the schools luck.
Hopefully an unexpected test was bad enough for everything else to go well. He opened up the envelope, and glanced over it quickly. The questions didn't seem so bad, though, was that paper backwards? Huh. Probably just a mistake at the printers.
He could do this.
[Rolling a 2: You notice that one of the pieces of paper is printed backwards. Or maybe you don't. Maybe it's a test...]

The one aspect about all of this that Olivia was fond of was that she was in a nice gathering of pretty much everyone at school. All in one place. It was lovely, seeing all their faces in one collective unit. Her blue eyes danced about, looking upon them all, not even minding that this was a somewhat serious testing situation that could really determine her future in Halloween.
But, she did as everyone else and took part of the test - which really had a lot of nice drawing space really. When she reached for her pen, however, the snake like creature decided to strike at her and sunk its small little teeth in the apex between her thumb and index finger. It didn't really hurt per say, but it didn't seem to be letting go, no matter how hard to pulled on it. Well, that wasn't going to do. But, she did have two hands after all even if it would make her already questionable writing look a little more questionable.
Drawing proved to be most difficult in this situation. And with so much empty space too.

Hel was here for the attitude test, because she knew she had a lot of it. Attitude! Plus future plans were of great interest to her. But…not talking to others? Can’t even look at them? This probably wasn’t the best place for the ghoul… Maybe if she blinked in a pattern at Mot…he’d know she was encouraging him! Silly boil, freaking out so much already. Hel took her materials and looked them over, resisting the strong urge to just look at the cowboil…because seriously, he was distracting with all that panicking. Damn, Gene was here too? Hel wanted to waggle her brows at her...be a jerk, you know the deal...Was Hel panicked? No. No she was not...after all, she felt like her situation couldn’t be any worse than it was! Stupid test, thinking it could scare her…well it couldn’t. The reaper started as her pen came to life, and then set to marking up her desk. The ghoul hissed out a few foreign curses, and tried grabbing the pen, only to get inked herself. She then proceeded to spend a good nine minutes wrestling with the pen and sporting all kinds of doodles up her arms until she threw the pen across the gym. There. Now it was someone else’s problem to deal with.

Oh Jack. Oh Jack, oh Jack. Anna was doomed. Completely, 100% doomed. She stared at the paper before her with a distant and glazed look, as if completely overcome by the weight of The Future. Or, at least, she did until the person behind her started making really awful noises.
Ugh-
Her grip tightened on her penstrictor until the thing let out a soft squeal of pain. Only then did she begin working, with occasional sharp jabs of the penstrictor into the paper to emphasize her growing irritation with the noise behind her.

Quote: Rolling a 1: One of your pencils (Haunted Pencils) immediately tries to attack you, biting you on your main writing hand. Ouch! Now you have to write it with your non dominant hand (or limb) The kitsune was practically vibrating his chair on the ground with how hard he was shaking. This wasn't fair! It was totally not fair! He wasn't ready for a test! He- groaning in defeat he took the envelope and opened it up, only to be promptly attacked by the haunted pencil that flew from the pack. A yelp was given and ears flattened to his head as he wrestled with not...crying.
Tears in his big teal eyes he rubbed over his bitten hand, realizing it was not going to work for writing now. Trembling his lip out he swayed his tails behind him and coiled them around the bottom of his chair tightly before picking up the second pencil and starting in on his test, with the wrong hand.
Pausing after a few questions he looked up to see about the time. In his nervousness he ripped the bottom of the first test and casually stuffed the last question into his pocket to hide it. Filling out the last few questions he groaned then thumped his head on the desk to hide in his hands.

Efflo opened his envelope and pulled out the test, setting it neatly on his desk. He was going to get this over with as fast as possible, quick and painless. The boil reached for his pencil, only to find his pencil reaching back, baring its... teeth? Efflo snapped his hand back but it was too late, the writing utensil had latched on and was chomping on his right hand with all its leaden might. "What the!" He shook his hand violently, finally sending the pencil flying. Staring down at his now mangled hand, Efflo groaned, he knew he hated exams for a reason. How was he going to write now? He guessed he could just get up and leave... but the room was filling up now and the overlooking gnomes didn't seem very friendly. Especially not the one that had suddenly found itself attacked by a flying pencil. It grumpily stormed over to Efflo, handing him the now subdued item with a glare. Efflo sighed, picking it up gingerly with his left hand. He didn't even know if he wanted a career. Couldn't he just grow up to be a horse? Stick him in a field, let him roam, he was good with that. Trying to must the urge to care, Efflo began hastily filling in his answers with the wrong hand. It was difficult and as per usual, the glowworms wanted to help.

Oh, a test? Mac could do tests. Tests he was okay with. If it was current studies, he could do this! Sure he tended to hate all manner of actual school work, and he knew he wasn't going to amount to nothing, but hey, he could humor them.
He ripped open the package and grabbed a haunted pencil, and---wait, what? His hand wasn't moving. Why wasn't his hand mo----oh.
"SONUVABITCH" He hissed out, trying to free the stupid pencil from the stupid desk to take this stupid test and just---skfjghksjhgs

Jericho was curious to say in the least. He hadn't really been able to put much thought into what he wanted to do once he graduated. After all, he had other things to worry about. Like... figuring himself out. He waited in the auditorium for things to begin.
This exam sounded like it was pretty important...
Taking in a deep breath, he opened up his envelope. Immediately, his haunted pen began to scribbling all around the desk, paper, and well.. everything. The dragon was now busy trying to stop it so that he could take the damn test.
His claws ended up getting inked a bit, but after some effort, he managed to grasp the pen tightly with both hands. He continued to hold onto it until it stopped squirming.
