Noel Balaster

Noel strolled around the amusement park with her iPod in one hand and a orange sherbet ice cream cone in the next. The music that she was listening to drowned out all of the amusement park's cheer. She held a dull expression but she was really enjoying herself. She had not been to death city in months and decided to have some fun before returning to the academy. After all working hard was not Noel's style. She licked her ice cream cone slowly, which caught a few glance from some random men. She looked at the various rides trying to figure out which one to ride.

Noel was surprised when a guy bumped into her, even though her face did not show it. She was unable to hear him because of the music playing but she managed to read his lips. She felt bad that the guy's shirt was covered with her ice cream, hopefully it wouldn't stain. She simply signed at the lost of her frozen treat.

"No need to apologize. you're the one covered in ice cream after all. Sorry about that, ugh I guess." She sounded genuine but spoke in a dull tone, as if she was deprived of sleep. She smiled at the young man. " Don't worry you still look cute. A little ice cream won't keep the girls away." She said in a charming tone. As she spoke, she bobbed her head with the rhythm of the music.

Noel was not expecting the guy to buy her a replacement cone. It just so happens that the song was ending when the boy handed her the cone. She placed her headphones around her neck but the music was still loud enough for her to hear. She took the cone and gave the boy a dim smile.

"Thanks kid, you're all right." She paused to sample her frozen treat. "But you should smile more sweetie, you look kinda bummed. Life is too short to be glum. Oh my names Noel by the way."

Noel noticed that the young man had a patch over his eye. Questions began to form in her head but it seemed like too much of a bother to ask the guy about it. The guy seemed nice and Noel was feeling bored. She decided to keep him company for a bit. Besides she was not looking forward to heading back to the academy. She yawned and sat on the ground.

"So kid do you go to the academy?" She thought the guy might have been a meister because he had a missing eye.

Noel had to admit the kid had a point. Her smile was far from convincing. She was the last person, who should be giving out advice. Once again she bobbed her head as the music. She took another lick of her ice cream cone enjoying the sweetness of the artificially flavored oranges.

"Junior? I don't know I prefer to call you kid. Look at you, you're just sooooooo adorable."

Noel knew that Junior may be upset but she enjoyed playfully teasing others, especially if that person was younger than her. She wondered if she could get a reaction out of him. She eyed him as if something was troubling her. Her glare intensified, until she finally broke the silence.

"Ah how cute. Hey Junior, you may want to wear sun glasses if you're going to do that sort of thing. My eyes are up here you know." She said in her typical lazy tone.

Noel knew that Junior was not looking at her chest but she felt like prodding him.

"Fourth year? Hmm I bet your the top of your class, you look like a smart guy Junior. But to answer your question I use to go to attend the academy. Have you had Mrs. Balaster's class?" Noel shivered slightly. "She is the scariest and by far the meanest instructor the Dwma has."

Junior looked up as Noel as she spoke bout wearing sun glasses he put his hand over his eye at her sunglasses comment. He questioned how the girl reacted towards him. i don't really think I'm smart or top of my class. I don't think I have her. Scary.. You don't look like the type who gets frightened easily. Junior said as he looked at her curiously. Quick question are you a meister or weapon? junior asked as he kept his hand over his bandage

Noel chuckled a bit after seeing Juniors reaction to her teasing. His face was priceless and she enjoyed every minute of it. With three more bites Noel finished off her ice cream and the cinnamon cone. Afterwards she licked each individual finger, slowly ridding herself of the leftover ice cream. She chuckled once more as a few guys developed nose bleeds as they passed.

"If you lucky I will give you a picture of myself Junior." She teased. "You should give yourself more credit ugh ... maybe I should take my own advice. Well aren't you curious. If you must know I'm a." She paused when she sensed someone approaching.

Noel's eyes were keen. She was unable to make out the image but someone was approaching her fast. She reached for her headphones but released them when she heard a friendly voice. Noel never stayed at the academy for long periods of time but she knew of the other Death scythes. Out of all the Death Scythes, Noel always enjoyed teasing Inaba.

"Inaba?"

Noel turned to Inaba and gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek.

"That's your charismas gift." She said jokingly. Noel seemed to liven up just a tad but still carried her dull, lazy tone. "I did not expect to see you here. I figured it would be past your bedtime."

Noel got up from the ground and dusted off her clothes.
