"You are Hel the Finisher." He smirked a bit.

Kettil blushed just a little bit as he swung about with Hel, "Yeah, well...! This really is my first time. Never thought about learnin'," he laughed. There was just something about the dance that called to his highly energetic nature and so perhaps that is why he took so easily to it.

"I probably would be in real s**t if I went up against a professional," he added a few seconds after.

“YUP.” Hel proclaimed proudly. Finish things she would. That was why she Charlie horsed Freya at Prom. She knew her sister wouldn’t recover and retaliate from that one. Bwa ha ha ha.

The reaper smirked. “Your first time, huh? Do not worry, screecheart…I will be gentle.” After a moment she laughed and shook her head. “Professional?” She echoed, amused. “Ya, whatever! The creeple who dance to this are usually drunk off their asses on mead! You have nothing to worry about. If you end up doing a jig with the father though…watch your feet. Has Freya showed you a picture of the parents yet?”

Kettil laughed, "You and gentle don't seem to go in the same sentence, Ménill," he replied. "Which is something I like about you in a sense. You say and do exactly what you mean to and don't really hide it that much."

That wasn't to say that Kettil thought Hel was incapable of lying or whether or not she was good at lying, only that she was blunt.

At the question he nodded, "Yeah! She showed me, yer Dad is a big, big fella. Strong and what not. Freya says I get to meet them soon maybe. I can see some of the you guys got from yer momma, too."

“Kettil…” Hel started. “I am a delicate ******** flower, Jack dammit, and I will be treated like a ******** lady.” She then just grinned at the boil.

Hel snorted. “Oh ya…a big fella is an understatement…” The ghoul’s brows furrowed. “…Oh ya? Is Freya taking you home? You have my sympathy if that is the case…” Hel trailed off. In a way, it did feel weird to not claim her parents as her parents anymore. Would she feel differently if she saw them again? “Ah…nah, we got all from our mother.” Hel snorted again. “Thank Jack.”

"Only the most delicate of flowers," he agreed idly.

He was probably thinking along the lines of a very hardy cactus when it came to Hel but he wasn't going to say that out loud. "Only the most proper of ******** ladies," he agreed as he suddenly swung about with her by the hand mid-jig.

This is how ladies were meant to be treated, clearly.

"She promised me, and usually when she promises me something it happens," Kettil replied with a small shrug. Still he didn't think the parents were as bad as Hel was painting them up to be. Everything'd be fine, right?

...Hmm.

Shrugging it off he went on, "It feels right that I should at least meet the possible in-laws. I mean she met my family...?"

Well, that was nice of Kettil to humor her, at least. It was really the most she could ask though. Though she would have been groaning at that cactus thing. Good thing he didn’t say that out loud.

The ghoul whistled. “You poor b*****d.” Yeah…usually when Freya said something like that, it did. The thought of her sister going home made her a bit anxious though…not because Freya was going away, because she didn’t care about that. It was the thought that Freya would blab to her mother about her…Hel hadn’t written home or talked to her mother since after the wedding.

Eh…heh…

“I suppose.” Hel replied idly. “You are really traditional, huh?” Now Hel kind of wondered if she’d ever meet…Mac’s family? Thinking about his mother and father though wasn’t pleasant, after what he told her, so she hoped she’d get to meet his aunt, uncle, and sister…and also make sure not to say ‘Hi my name is Hel and I lost my virginity on your couch’.

Definitely not.

"I'll be fine," he laughed in a dismissive tone. It wasn't like the family was going to eat him alive, right?

...More doubts planted in his mind and took root. He continued to deny they were there. If only Hel realized what she was doing to is confidence.

At being called traditional he actually paused mid-jig and seemed to actually ... Be at war with himself over this. Was he really that traditional? Did he like this observation placed upon him?

Hold on a moment as he short circuited and then he suddenly stared at Hel, "I suppose if I really was traditional I'd have insisted on meeting your family first before I ravaged your sister and before I ravaged her I would have asked their permission to marry her..."

He was traditionally doing things out of the wrong order...?

"...The fun part is I can't even mention the ravaging part because your Father'd probably eat me for lunch..." Wait. That wasn't fun. It was horribly terrifying. What if he slipped up and said something?!

“I hope you will be fine.” Hel replied, looking a bit doubtful if anything. The last boil Freya brought home had been Herryk…and the family had taken to him really well because of his size and attitude...honestly, Hel was concerned about Freya being Kettil home, because he was smaller and well…not the same boil. But she didn’t care enough to say anything or do anything to stop it.

It wasn’t her business.

Eventually, Hel’s jig had slowed until it came to a stop, and the reaper did one more twirl before she let go of the boil, and took to leaning against the wall. The ghoul laughed. “Ya, I suppose that is true.” She mused, and then laughed. “Oh, do not worry…none of my sisters are ‘pure’ anymore and most certainly not before a wedding…it is more like…they know but it is not acknowledged or spoken out loud…so…just pretend like you two have not done it yet…because ya, father would thrash you.”

Kettil shrugged a little bit as he suddenly flopped onto his backside now not in the mood for dancing. He got out his eyephone and sort of fiddled with it.

"I hadn't planned on sayin' a word about it, Hel." He laughed a little bit as he turned the phone about in his hands with a small thoughtful look. "Suddenly I'm scared of screwin' up. Funny how that happens after a few words."

He had faith everything would be alright but now he was scared of accidentally blurting the wrong things just because he was excited to meet everyone and ...

Then again since when did he back down from a challenge? Since when was he so scared of messing up? He uttered a quiet grunt and tucked the phone away.

He crawled his way to a patch of grass and flopped over there. "Either you talked sense into me or I am finally understanding how Freya felt when I took her to meet my family."

Hel was quiet as Kettil expressed his worries, and after a moment, the ghoul released a loud sigh and rolled her shoulders before settling back against the wall.

“Who cares that much about what they think?” She asked suddenly. They meaning Freya’s family. “They are a bunch of close minded hicks, Kettil. Their world is only as big as the yard their home is on, and maybe a bit bigger to include some of the neighbors so they can boast about what they do and do not have…but aside from that…” Hel shrugged. “Stop worrying about it.” She looked down at the boil. “Even if they said no, even if they tried to stop you…you would not, would you? What they say or think is not going to change how you feel and what you will do with Freya, ya?”

Touchy subject was apparently touchy.

Kettil leaned up on his elbows to peer over at Hel, "Well, I guess that's true. I don't care as much as..."

The boil tilted his head to the side, "I care but I don't care too much. I would like for them to at least approve of me. I would like for them to be happy with Freya's choice in a husband. I would like to not dread every visit if they would chose to come visit at some point when things are said and done. Basically I don't want to sit there and groan about how my mother-in-law is coming and what not."

Kettil moved to sit up, "So no matter what, Hel. You're my Sister. I'm never gonna give you up, I am never gonna let you down~," he started to sing at her.

“That is fine.” She said. “Then stop being a worry wart about it.” The ghoul stuck her tongue out at Kettil. As for everything else well…Hel didn’t really have anything for that. The ghoul pretty much planned on dropping off the face of Halloween once she graduated….except for when she chose to pop up. At the reaper’s words, Hel looked touched, and it showed on her face…until her expression gave way to annoyance, and Hel groaned, loudly.

But I am doing to dessert you all.” She replied with a pout.

Kettil laughed as he picked himself up and wandered over to her, "Not allowed to. I will find you and I will hug you and you will like it." The Muut moved to hug the wingless Valkyrie.

"I meant what I said, though. I've grown to love you very dearly and will do anything at all for ya," Kettil said simply. "No matter what happens at the end of the day I still consider you Sister to me."

He held up an arm next to hers for a moment, "We may as well be related by blood. Poor you," he teased cheerfully.

“Good luck finding me with that ball and chain attached.” Heh. Freya, a ball and chain. “I do not have to like anything.” Hel made swatting motions at the Muut until he hugged her, and she then just patted the boil on the back. “Aww…that is so squishy.” She replied, though couldn’t help but be touched. “You are alright, I suppose.” She replied cheerfully. “I guess if I had to get stuck with someone, you are acceptable.”

It was the most he was going to get right now.

The swatting motions didn't bother him. He was used to the abuse Freya gave him. All of the abuse.

"Oh. I'm pretty sure if I mentioned that it was time to go look for you because we haven't seen you in a while? The ball and chain would travel with me," he pointed out happily.

Kettil just laughed, accepting what she had said, "It's good because you're stuck with me for the rest of our lives~, Sister."

He glanced skyward for a moment, "I should check on Freya. She's been ominously quiet for a while. I'll see ya around?"
