... Not using paint when it rained made sense. Biroki mentally kicked himself for being so dim. But he had thought about the whole skin shifting thing, considering his own did as well.
"Well yes..." he said, "But you wouldn't have to get two. Not if you had a m-m..." He chewed at his tongue for a moment, "Midtone." why had that word given him so much trouble?! Stupid stammer. "A grey would break up the skin on both colors." Biroki wondered a moment. "Th-though, what if there was a color-shifting ink... or-or paint?" how on tendajii would you make that? Magic, obviously, "Something that shifted, too."

Rayolun smiled; grey paint would be wonderful. He'd certainly tried to make amid tone once cause it was rather irritating repainting himself. "I've actually that before, but the mixture I ended up with caused me skin to develop rashes. Dunno why, and I've never tried that again." At Biroki's words on color shifting paint he smiled and shook his head. "It'd be nice but I've never found any plant that shifted colors or stuff. Maybe magical plants or stuff, but where would I get those?" It was a nice idea, and if he ever got a tattoo Rayolun had decided he's splurge and get a shifting color one... though he hoped it would have any residue of magic or stuff on him cause what if there were beasts that could sense magic? Then he'd never be able to sneak up on one!

He'd need to make up with Reshel eventually.
"I could l-look into some mixtures that won't irritate the skin, but will still give you grey?" he offered, smiling. It sounded as good a reason as any to talk to his uncle and mentor. "And I don't know any plants that shift, either but... I bet they're out there." Shifters couldn't be the only things that shifted. Surely Serin placed that blessing on something else too. To connect it with the shifters. "They'd probably be in some m-magically charged place... like a ruin." He'd never been to a proper ruin, but he knew that strange things could be found there. And what if there was an old temple to Serin? The Shifters didn't have temples, not really, but maybe there was something from before. Maybe if there were shifting plants, they would be there.

Rayolun smiled at the odd stuttering man. Nice guy, to offer to help me find better dyes. His stutter is odd, but I guess it's like my uncle and being quiet all the time. "Thanks for offering. I know nothing about magic, so that'd be a big help! Hmm, but what would you like in return?" He'd been taught to fulfill all debts, and this offer would take Birkoki time and effort to do so Ray meant to do something equal in thanks.
The idea on looking at ruins was a good one.. but those were dangerous area's usually, and he'd avoided them. Gonna need help if I want to safely enter one of those.

In... return...? Biroki was a little taken aback. He honestly hadn't thought about what he would get out of this. "Well... Uh..." he thought hard, but he had a feeling he wasn't going to figure out something for the hunter to do right here or now. "I'll... get back to you on that, okay?" he said, smiling.
He figured he should probably find and search some ruins himself anyway, for shifting herbs and for other things that might be useful. With Zuri along, of course. And maybe Briella and Aminah. He supposed Dyakida could come too, but he wasn't sure what use she would be if something dangerous happened in the ruins. "Where do you live?" he asked. It would be handy to find the other shifter again, in case Biroki actually found out something.

This guy was really nice wasn't he? Rayolun smiled and shook his head, to offer a favor and expect nothing in return. Well, I'll come back here with meat or pelts to pay him off then I guess. "I don't have a home so to speak. Got some camps I revisit when I'm in a certain area, but otherwise I just wander about the jungle." Rayloun replied with a shrug. "I'll find you next time I'm in the area. Since you seem more sedentary than I am, it'll be easier for me to find you than you to find me." He stood up gave Biroki a nod in farewell and climbed back u his tree, vanishing into the jungle. I'll have to remember this place and stop by soon to see if he finds anything.. Rayolun though t as he went back to hunting.

"Oh..." Well it looked like it would be difficult to find Rayolun again. Without a set home, Biroki had no reference point to find him with. "Oh Good!" he said, a little relieved on that account. If Rayolun came back here, then Biroki knew he would be likely to find him. Well, more likely. He gave Rastian a wave of farewell. "I'll see you then! Good luck hunting!" he said. Oh. Wait. What had he been doing? He frowned at the flowers in his hand. OH. Yes! Right! Picking flowers! He had a sizable bouquet, and it felt awfully late out. Maybe he should go home and set things up for the big day tomorrow. He doubted he could sleep, but he knew he would need some. He cast a light spell with one hand and made his way back to his house.
