Heidi tripped on her own two feet a couple of times but ran screaming down the hall.

A few Hunters gave her a bemused look but didn't seem terribly concerned as they went back to whatever they were doing as she passed them.

Heidi found a storage closet and practically threw herself at the door opening it.

She then closed it and pushed up against the door. The door had no lock on the inside so she was forced to hope her weight was enough to keep Tuck out.

She was going to die.

Heidi squeaked when she heard Tuck approach the door, clamping a hand over her mouth and staring ahead of her into the darkness of the closet.

The scratching startled her, and she gasped, but Tuck's 'menacing' words had her snorting and doubling over with laughter. Oh god! Creeper! "O-oh no!" She laughed, leaning heavily against the door. He had threatened to tickle her, she couldn't let him know where her weaknesses lied!

There was no ice in here! Not even a bucket of old mop water! Lame! "Tu-Tuckella no! I'm dangerous!" She called out, snorting again and just making herself giggle harder.

Heidi gasped as the door moved. Oh no! He was going to get in! She was trapped in a room with no windows and only one door. "But vampires are immortal!" She protested, scrambling for a plan. She couldn't close the door, she'd hurt him.

Maybe if she suddenly let it fall open and then she escaped while he was distracted? It worked on tv..

It was worth a shot.

Without warning Heidi jumped away from the door, moving back to keep out of the way in case it flew open.

Welp, that backfired. "Television lied to me," she squeaked, backing away from Tuck until she felt a shelving unit against her back. Heidi swallowed. "Think I might sue.."

Maybe she still had a change. The faint blue glow of Matilda's totem just barely illuminated Heidi's face, making it hard to tell where she was looking. She was smaller than Tuck, she could sneak past him. That could work, right?

Heidi wasn't going down without a fight. She took a cautious step to one side. Maybe she could fake him out, move one way and then dart the other at the last second. He was bigger than her, that meant he had to be slower, right? She would take her chances. Heidi slid along the wall in an attempt to get Tuck out of the way of the door until she suddenly made a break for it. Door! Door, help! Don't be a vile betrayer again!

He could have caught her had he followed the moving red light, but Heidi's eyes had had more time to adjust to the darkness than Tuck's had. With a triumphant "NEVER! AHAHAAAA!" She found the door and opened it enough to squeeze through an opening and take off again. She at least didn't close the door behind her.

But she did stop around the first corner to catch her breath, her hand against the wall and all her weight leaning into it. She bowed her head, panting for breath and slowing sinking to the floor.

Victory thy name is Heidi. Heidi Potter, the girl who lived. Heidi snorted at her own joke.

She took off her scarf and unbuttoned her coat to let some air hit her, it was too hot after all that running.

And she'd wanted to go jogging. Idiot.

Suddenly Tuck's head came around the corner and Heidi gasped. She tried to get up, failed, and fell back to the floor.

So instead she started to crawl away. It wasn't as effective as running but she wasn't going to just lay down and take this.

Heidi squeaked and rolled over on the floor when Tuck finally caught her, laughing and swatting at his hands to get them away from where she was most ticklish; her stomach, her knees as her neck. She couldn't stop laughing, pleading for him to stop whenever she could catch the breath to do so. "T-Tuck! Please! You'rekillingme!" She laughed, curling up and rolling on her side in a desperate attempt to protect herself. "Whyyyyyyyy!" She called out dramatically in tortured anguish.

Despite her complaints she was having fun.
