"I'm sorry," she added, frowning. She'd never felt guilty for existing before, but if there was a time for that, this was it. Awkward.
And then Nevada summoned her weapon, and Gnat's eyes nearly bulged out of her head. She tried to remember that she had a magical FEAR shield acting as a full-body kevlar vest, but she couldn't shake the notion that she was about to get pumped full of holes.
"Say hello to my little friend," she muttered to herself, and ducked in without warning, going for a punch.

"It's not your fault. They keep telling me that she'll wake up when she wakes up." Nevada wouldn't let Gnat really know how jealous she was of her and Tuck, considering the two woke up at the same time. Unlike the two, if she wanted to see her twin...she had to make a trip to the pod room and talking to a sleeping face in a large mechanical machine. Not a door from each other.
But that was the hate and bitterness of constantly being screwed over by life...by her choices or by her sisters together. Plus, sleeping with Tuck had allowed her for even a brief moment, fill that loneliness of being left awake while the other slept. And such, she instead offered Gnat a smile. One meant to reassure.
"But seriously, Don't be sorry. I'm glad you and Tuck have each other." She added and then laughed at Gnat's muttering.
"It looks intimidating but...I'm not good close range. You already have an advantage."
As of right now, it was Gnat who was in her space, hitting her shield. The only way she could attack this close was to bring the butt of the gun down, pushing Gnat away.

She feinted to the left, but followed up with a gauntleted punch to the right.

"I'm not much of a fighter to be honest. Even when Angry. I kind of shut down." As in she holed herself inside herself until she was ready to handle. "I'm not much for violence either...unless nesscary. Or for training like now."
And when she took the hit, she stumbled, feeling the pressure on her arm.
"I can't fire Leroy..." She mumbled out loud, And then started stumbling back. "Okay Gnat..." Then the girl fired, grazing past the sun huntress.

Gnat jumped back as the bullet grazed her, marveling at how her FEAR shield seamlessly absorbed the damage.
"Okay, okay. It weren't as scary as I thought," she commented a little sheepishly, taking another shot at the hunter with her bare fist.
"I dunno. I don't have a problem fighting, Tuck an' I have been at it since we were little. Guess that's why they put me in Sun."

"Not bad at all right hun?" Nevada snorted, "It looks intimidating but I lack the power to make it real damage. Unless it's my charge."
She shifted on another foot, looking for opening when gnat closed the distance, striking again.
"Haha that is a really good reason. Me and Alaska never really fought physically. But I can tell you, being identical twins REALLY has its perks when you wanna get back at each other." The Nevada waited a beat, "Or ******** with people. I loved messing with people...especially Alaska's friends."

"Hell yeah we are....Unless she's changed since I saw her. I can't tell in the pod honestly, its just zoomed in on her face you know..." she joked before blinking.
"Oh...well...." She started to fidget nervously because, "Don't you think Tuck would be upset if we did that..."
She wasn't sure if Alaska would play nice even.
"Okay gnat...Now it's time to be scared." She smiled, set up farther back. Braced her feet and....."charge is go!"
And then let the gun fire, shrouding Gnat in bullets.

Gnat recoiled at the powerful blow, staggering backward. It took her a few moments to recover, but when she did...
"My turn."
She reared back, winding up as if for a pitch-
The FEAR energy raced backward with a dull red glow, up her arm and through her body, and she screamed. She was acutely aware of her FEAR shield breaking, and then the pain became a pure thing, raw and unbearable.
She collapsed into a pathetic heap, Edward desummoning and reappearing as a ring on her hand.
The last thing she was aware of was his mocking laughter.

Nevada braced herself for the hit, sun hunters being known to hit hard and fast and Gnat was no exception.
But when the attack backfired and Gnat screamed, Nevada had her weapon desummoned and raced over to the girl. "Gnat?...Gnat are you okay?" No response, out cold...
Holy s**t her weapon had backfired and destroyed her shield. Panic rose in the mist huntress as she cradled Gnat's form in hers and looked around. She wasn't strong enough to carry the girl, so she'd have to ask someone. She fumbled to get her phone out, cradling the girls head in her arm and rolling over to Tuck's number. God this was a terrible idea and he'd kill her for hurting his twin most likely.
She sent the text and then stared at Gnat's crumbled form longer.

Gnat was really good at being passed out. You could, in fact, say she was a natural.
She moaned sort of pitifully when Nevada moved her, in a way that heavily implied she would probably feel this in the morning, and likely the following morning.

Tuck had been out at the lighthouse on duty, and each text that he got from Nevada only raised his anxieties that something was really wrong with Natasha. He wasn't sure what he would do if she was seriously hurt. Tuck wasn't sure if he'd survive. It was a deep, cramping ache in his chest that refused to subside even as Nevada and Natasha came into view.
He fell to his knees next to his twin sister, taking a moment to do inventory of her limbs and face. Everything seemed relatively intact from what he could tell, and he shifted to look up at Nevada with raw fear etched on his face.
"You can tell me exactly what happened on the way to the infirmary." His attention turned back to his sister. When he spoke to Natasha, his voice was low and babying, laced with a soft sort of panic that lent his words an even softer tone.
"Heeey, baby sister, I'ma pick you up now. Everythin's gonna be fine. I'm here. I got you, Natasha. Ain't gonna let nothin' happen to you, booger. You hear me? It's Theodore, an' I got you."
Tuck shifted and slid his arms beneath his sister's crumpled body, gathering her up against his chest before rising to his feet. He walked carefully so as not to jar her, each step purposefully placed. In his arms was the most precious of cargo, and nothing would keep him from delivering her to the infirmary.

It wasn't anger that she was met with Tuck came over, and the fear he felt was mirrored by Nevada's. She let him take Gnat from where she held the girl before pushing herself up and following after him, her tone worried and urgent.
"We were sparring. We got to charges, and I hit her pretty heavy with Leroy after some really small not so heavy hits. And then she said something about her turn, her turn to use her charge. It looked like it backfired because it didn't hit me at all, I don't know for sure though. One minute she's coming at me and the next, She screamed and then just crumpled there and I haven't gotten her to wake." Nevada kept her eyes glued on the girl. "i've never let this happen during a spar. I know my limits. I know when I need to stop. How come she didn't tell me to stop. I don't understand..." There was a little more of a panicked tone to her voice.
