She gave him a curious look before snorting, very unladylike.
"No, We want Gelato, WE GET GELATO!" She went in dedicated and looked around, noticing the young male clerk. Putting on her most charming smile.
"Ciao, questo è il gelato" Came out, and quite fluently. "Oppure dobbiamo otteniamo Gelato qui?"
The man smiled and answered a simple..."Sì giovane donna e l'uomo!"

"Ya sure yer from the US of A?" Miss Nevada was a whole lot worldlier than Otto had anticipated. Though she was indeed quite the little flirt. Was she hoping to get a discount? "Do they got chocolate? I want chocolate." He insisted, inwardly wondering what the other words she'd said other than Gelato meant.

"Of course, Maine to be specific." She turned her head, winking at Otto. "My Dad was big on us learning a lot of things. When we got to languages, instead of Spanish....I took Italian. And some French. But mostly Italian." Yeah she remembered how that pissed her dad off. Spanish was the language of america now, along with English. She'd get farther in a business career if she knew it.
"Let me ask cutie." She turned her attention back to the Man, staring at them a little oddly. As if English was a FORIEGN language.
"Il mio amico e mi piacerebbe avere una....ummmmm.....Fragola e cioccolato grande gelato? Grazie." She held her fingers for two.
"Certo! Io lo porterò fuori a voi sulla veranda! Sarà 13 €." The man nodded as Nevada pulled out her card to pay. Once done, she turned back to Otto and smiled. "He said he'll bring it out to us outside, guess I missed the seats out there. I got Chocolate and Strawberry if you don't mind." She hurried outside, taking a seat before anxiously looking around.
"I have something to tell you Otto."

"Damn, girl." Otto murmured, "Pretty sure Mom tried to teach me Spanish, but I only remember chiquitita." Simply because he thought it sounded funny, and giggled like the distracted kid he was. Much to his mother's discontent. Nevada and the man seemed to continue speaking Moon speak, causing Otto to drift into daydreams as he stared at walls, or pictures of gelato. He blinked as he snapped back into reality. Nevada was followed out to the chairs. "S'fine." He replied in response, liking both flavours well enough to steal from Nevada's share if need be. "Hm? What's up?" Something to tell him? Was she going to talk more about her break up? Well, this was why he came out here, right? To be a good friend and listen t her worries. Why not, right? He was a friend and he got free ice cream from it.

Pleased that he was okay with the flavors, she took a seat and gestured him to follow suit before looking at him.
"I'm going to tell you this...cause you're my friend. And you're one of the few people I want to know about it because you're one of my friends. And because I hope to still be your friend after..." She fidgeted nervously...
"Roland and I broke up because I cheated on him with someone else. I slept with the guy...before I even slept with Roland. I've actually never slept with Roland..." Way too much TMI but still, it was best Otto knew the whole thing. "And I was going to keep it a secret. But Roland saw a kiss mark, we got in a argument...." She held her breath before exhaling....
"And he hit me with his weapon, Mine was caught off guard. Walked around with a bruise on my cheek for a couple of days. I haven't talked or seen him since though..." Nevada fell right into miserableness by the time the man with Gelato came out, dispensing the two. "Graize sir." She said before pushing Otto's Gelato towards him. "So...That's what happened."

To say this didn't change how he saw Nevada would be a lie. But it didn't make him see her as less of anything. No, what she did was bad. Of course it was. However, she was still a friend, and still a person with a heart that needed respecting. While he felt it would have been better to break up with Roland before sexing up some other guy, hindsight was 20/20. Maybe next time she'd know better. The teen mulled over the information slowly in his mind, until she came to a part of her story that made his eyes snap up to Nevada with a whole new level of emotion. "He hit you with his ********' weapon?" Otto growled in a low tone, his ice blue eyes narrowed fiercly. "Ain't nobody allowed to hit a girl over nuthin', cheater r' not. Not unless it's a spar." At least at Deus that's how it went. Spars were meant to challenge one's strength. But Roland had used his weapon to hurt her out of frustration and anger and pain. Call him old fashioned or even sexist, but a guy was only allowed to hit other guys outside the training field. Never was a man allowed to strike a woman. Not on his watch. The teen's angry gaze levelled down to the delicious looking gelato that had been placed in front of him. Angry as he was, he still took a moment to have a bite before continuing. You know, to cool him off. "Gimme one good reason I shouldn't dig that guy's grave, Nevada. I don't care what you did, it don't deserve getting bruised on the face."

"Because what I did...hurt his heart. What he did, my weapon and my body fixed soon enough." She wouldn't lie though, being hit had caused her anxieties over...just about everything. It was why she was here in Italy, talking to Otto about it. She knew, well no, more hoped that Otto would forgive her for it, even of he hadn't been involved in any sort of way. "And because I don't want anymore violence." It was like repeating this to Tuck, "I just wanted to tell you because I trust you. Out of the island Otto, you were my very first friend. And I didn't want to lose you because of bad choices." She spooned some gelato in her mouth and sighed. "But that's what I wanted to tell you. In case of drama or something"

He was her first friend? Otto new from personal experience how special a first friend was. Eva and Reine were his. What ever happened to Reine, he wasn't sure.. "S'alight. It was stupid, and you screwed up bad. But.. I ain't gunna stop bein' your friend over it." Otto replied, helping himself to another large spoonful of gelato. "Just yanno.. don't do s**t like that again. Otherwise I'll have to take down a few points on the Respect Meter." As long as it was a lesson learned, all was well. It was repeating mistakes without remorse that would have lost her as a friend. He wasn't going to preach morals at her, seeing as he wasn't a glowing example of goodness himself. He was her friend, not some preacher.

"Yes..." She looked sadly into her Gelato, Her head whipped up a little before back down again. "Okay....I won't..." She whispered. "Thank you for still being my friend..." She reached over and stole a bite of his Gelato too...Because she assumed it was still cool.
"Well gosh, Now I have nothing to say..." She had gotten everything out pretty much.

Otto gave her a look, but took a bite of her gelato in retaliation. "That was all? Dang, and I was all prepared to be here a while." Otto teased, "Well, I ain't the chatty type, so ya'll better think of somethin' else to gripe about."

"Um...Um I don't know what else..." She fumbled, thinking things over. Barely noticing his sneaky little bite. "I...I made a new friend! Her name is Stormy and she is super adorable and very kind." She stared at Otto and whispered, "She is my first girl friend. Because originally it was just you, and Lex....and Roland."
She took another bite of her Gelato before jumping up.
"I'm also becoming a intermediate trainee!" She clapped her hands, sending strawberry Gelato flying from it. Whoops. " I mean...Ahem...I'm almost a hunter!" THAT WAS EXCITING NEWS!

"So we ain't gotta do the sleepovers no more?" He joked lightly with a poker face. "Good, cause I dunno if I could take more girly magazine quizes or explain away the glitter nails anymore." Sad thing was, he'd actually had to do that before he came to the island to appease his old girlfriend. Otto flinched as she suddenly jumped up, blue eyes staring critically at the long haired girl. "Well uh, good for you. Congrats, almost." Since she wasn't one yet.

She flushed and then sat down. "You want to sleepover Otto?" She grinned now, "I don't have glitter but I do have a blue that'll make you look pretty...er." She put her chin in her hands and stared at him, "You know, we could have a proper sleepover, I'll bring blankets and pillows and movies." She was teasing him.
Or maybe she was teasing him.
Maybe.
"Oh thank you! Almost. I think me and Stormy will be getting our promo together but...we'll see."
She smiled still, looking at him.
