When the older lion joined them, Jifya had to make sure he didn't laugh at his lack of a mane. It wasn't because he wanted to be rude, of course, he just had never seen such a thing before! Of course it would catch him by surprise. Thankfully, he wasn't so insensitive that he let out any kind of laugh, nodding his head respectfully instead. Whew.

He did not want to make a bad first impression.

"Well, I'm glad to see there's someone who would be willing to teach me! I want to do the best at whatever I set for myself, so I would gladly accept any wisdom you have to offer me! It is an honor to meet you, Onundr. I'm Jifya." He had listened to the king introduce him, and was happy to know his name. It seemed he would be getting a lot of help from the other while he learned about the pride's history.

"Oh, are there going to be cubs? That's a wonderful thought!" he liked cubs, too. maybe he would be able to learn and teach them what he had gathered information on.

Aanga felt a little...odd. She didn't let it show, but to be in front of so many, to be mingling with so many...

Well, she'd grown up a rogue, with only her good-for-nothing parents, and occasional company, and her sister, and both prides she'd tried to live in before were gone, for one reason or another. But this place...it seemed steady. It was even rebuilding after disaster.

Stranger still was having a mate. And being a Queen. She'd never led before, and now...well, she felt both protective of all the faces before her and terrified of failing them. She stayed close to her new husband, finding comfort in his presence and the gifts the strange little hobbit-elf had given her before the weddings. Seeing her sister flitting about so happily made her smile calmly, and bolstered her further.

And there were so many creatures! So many dwarves and hobbits and...

She somehow managed to not stare at Onundr when cubs were mentioned. CUBS?! She and Thorin had JUST wed! And now the newcomer talking to her husband was asking about them...oh dear Mkodi.

"I would like cubs, yes. But I think it'd be best if I finish settling in and getting to know my pride a bit better before they come." There. That was a diplomatic answer, right? Oh she hoped it was.

User Image Yorath rarely did more than he had to around the pride. He did not slack on his duties as Patriarch, but when they were done, he usually got into the n** and called it a day. Of course, a party was something he needed to make an appearance at, even if he still would have gone to chase tail anyway. Married or not, Yorath tended to flirt and try to get many females when he had n**. Heck, n** was how he and his wife got along best! That might have had something to do with both of them being the proudest creatures in the world, but eh, they managed to make it work. They were both much mellower on the n** afterall.

Yorath made his way into the gathering and nodded to the king. "Hail, Thorin. It is good to see our king and queen having a moment to mingle." In the green lion's opinion the royals had been working too hard lately. Yes it was necessary, but they really needed a break so they did not end up running themselves to an early grave. He had watched the last patriarch of his clan do too little, but he saw the royals as on the other side of that line. He liked to think that he had found the perfect balance between the two, and he would not hear otherwise from anyone short of the king. He had gained his rank through a fight and he would fight anybody that challenged his way of doing things.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
User ImageGrowlina was standing off to the side, watching and trying not to get in anyone's way. For a Dwarven woman, she was usually pretty quiet and reserved. She kept a very clean and tidy den for her brother and helped out where she was needed with the recovery efforts, but she was pretty sure nobody knew she existed most of the time. She wanted to be a good wife for a male some day, but she just had not found any male that inspired the desire to just go and strike up a conversation. In a way, she guessed she expected them to do the striking up.
Growlina was not by any means meek and mild, even though her quietness could be taken as that at times. She was stubborn and did things her way, but she did not feel the need to be vocal or physically dominating to make it known. Let others make fools of themselves by opening their big muzzles and declaring themselves important. She would keep doing things her way and let them stick it up their tails. The purple female was every bit the quiet force to be reckoned with as her brother was the loud one. Thinking of her brother, she looked over at Dryco and smiled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

User ImageDryco watched all the goings on with interest. There were plenty of new faces among the dwarves along with the old ones. He was enjoying seeing everyone come together for a celebration. They had certainly all earned it after the hard work it had taken to get their home cleaned up and their pride back into a decent order. It was good to see the prospects of new life starting to take root in all the newer mates and he was sure cubs would start coming to the pride soon. It was overall a very good sign for the dwarves.

Dryco just wished his sister would be more active in trying to land herself a husband so SHE could take part in such new life. He understood her desire to have a male approach her first, but he was starting to think that her quiet manner might be taken for meekness. He knew the fire of his sister's temper if one found its wrath, and also knew how great a wife she would make in respect to running a den, but he feared her quiet strength was not getting across well to the males of the pride. It made him sad to think his sister might end up alone because of it.

((OOC: Feel free to approach any of my characters, just please quote me so I don't accidently miss you))

Onundr gave another hearty laugh. Not at the queen, no, but her reaction, "Oh yes, yes of course, my lady!"

Indeed, the pride as on its feel, and well on to recovery, but best it be able to further progress and stabilize before little paws came trouncing about! There were still places too dangerous to touch, for as much as the pride had worked to clean up after the fires. Yes, yes, much still yet to be done...

AH! But wasn't it a lovely thought?

User Image Illyon calmly made his way into the cave, the elder lion's purple eyes rather tired as his paws pressed into the floor. He was enjoying the cool earth, liking the quiet here below the mountain. The fluffy male had been grateful for the party finding him and his daughter on their trek from their home. His heart was still heavy from the loss of his mate in the move, but at the same time, he was grateful for his new position here in the Dvergr. The Seer had grown much since his original life, since his youth in the Rogue lands, his middle years in the Theluji. Now, as the Patriarch of Clan Gisli, Illyon was learning to content himself with the way things were. His blue mane fell in his face as he looked around, taking in the dwarves who'd come to join them in this celebration. Ah, Celebrations. Full of n** and good things. Perhaps this was just what the male needed to lighten his spirits.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

User Image Kimya'mwimbaji was excited. Her mate had told her about the celebration that was to happen, and the femme had been quick to her paws to join. Any excuse to spend time with her Nuru. This new Pride suited them well. Tucked away here below the mountain, their fully grown cubs off and doing....whatever it was they were doing. She knew in her heart that this was safer by far. Her blinded eye now covered, Kimya made her way through the cave system, until the sound of dwarves met her ears. Parties were always such loud occasions from what she'd been told, but the singer's eyes were only hunting for one. Only one mattered on this day, and that was her Nuru. Wherever he was, she would find him. Perhaps with some n** to make him feel good? She knew not yet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

User Image Despite the fact that her Father had taken up post in Clan Gisli, and she with Clan Schatzi, Eira'ffres had gotten up early to find her Father, and escort him to the party. The Brewer had affectionately woken him with a gentle lick to the ear, and the two were beginning to make their way towards the party together. Standing at his side as they walked in, Eira offered him a warm smile, "It's alright father. All will be well." As the smells and sounds entered her ears, she licked his ear once more, and then trotted off to see some of the other brewers. Perhaps she could help with something for the party? Or do SOMETHING at least! Her paws were itching to move!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

User Image The Dwarves had quickly become his home, honestly. The Smith for Clan Ulf was a proud male, and was quick to rush himself into the open room. The smell of brew and n** filled his nose, and Anga too a deep whiff, sighing out as he enjoyed it. Ah, that was good. That told him much, and left little to be questioned. Trotting instantly to do a circle around the room, he was glad to see all the reactions around the room! Good! So much life, so much ENERGY, the male was glad for it, glad to be a part of it. Sitting slowly, Mtoto'wa'Anga took the moment to compose himself. Should he talk to someone? If so, to whom! There were so many.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

User Image Unlike many others, who were boisterous and celebrating, there was one female who sat quietly against the walls. The Warrioress of Clan Gisli seemed almost too quiet, golden eyes watching everything with a serious gaze. Her black paws were pressed into soil, claws sheathing and unsheathing in a slow pattern, scratching trenches in dirt. It seemed that Edin Prekrasen had no intention of joining in the festivities of her Pride-mates. No. She was content to watch for trouble...watch for her Patriarch...just watch.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 25, 2013 10:23 pm

Hm. It seemed that the dark leopardess wasn't in the chatting mood. That was alright. Perhaps there were more pressing things on her mind than worrying about being social at the party. Nayeli nodded to the grousing leopard and uttered an 'Excuse me' before slipping away. Even more faces seemed to have drifted in to join the celebration. Where to though? Perhaps she ought to seek out someone feeling a mite more sociable? Or should she give some n** a go? Why not both? Then maybe food was in order as well. Regardless of the order, the warrior wanted nothing more than to enjoy herself and let the place sink into her very bones. Everything would be done! Not alone however. No. Such events were more thoroughly enjoyed in the company of others. All she needed to do was to find someone or someones to bring around. With a quirked little smile and a flick of her tail tip, off Nayeli went, scoping things out for at least one other to get her party on with. Push came to shove, she could simply shout out 'Who wants some n**?!' and go from there. The idea brought a titter from her throat. Could be fun...

User ImageWow. Just, wow. Muista had grown up living in the mountains, rather on them, but now, she was going to live in the mountain, within it. When she heard of this place, she hadn't really known what to expect, but it wasn't this. What she was seeing was beyond her expectations, in point of fact! Her golden yellow eyes drifted throughout Dvergrheim. There was so much space and everything felt solid. A sense of earthy homeyness and permanence were what leaped to the striped lioness' attention. It was wonderful. Her previous pridal experience had been filled with visions, dreams, prejudice, favoritism, and elitism. But now, watching everyone as she sought out the King to express her interest in joining their number, conversations seemed to piping up just about everywhere and the air was positively buzzing with good will and excitement. Why wouldn't it be so? There had been not one wedding, but two! To add to that, the pride was starting anew from what she had been told. An excited shiver raced its way down her spine. There was much still to learn and see. Muista was going to be a part of it all, provided she was accepted. Hopefully she would be.

Oh! There he was, King Thorin! Her pace slowed and she paused for a moment. Wasn't that the queen too? And also several others that she couldn't put names too off of the top of her head. Hm. Huffing a breath through her nose, Muista drew nearer. Having come so far, it'd be silly to freeze up now just because there were more folks around when she did her asking than she had been expecting. She cleared her throat and then spoke. "My Lord, my Lady," Muista offered a smile, dipping her head to the assembly. "Everyone, hello." Looking mainly to the king and his queen now, the lioness continued. "My name is Muista and I would like to join your ranks, if you'll have me."

Thorin smiled when a new face approached, the sort of smile to welcome an eager face as he stood by his mate.

"There is no question, my lady, you are more than welcome. Do you have a name?" He offered, tone soft and gentle. Well, as soft as a warrior could manage.

Dorin spied Nayeli and perked, crouching to creep up on her with a bright grin. Yes, she looked fun, and the young dwarf crept close, before pouncing ferociously. At least, play-ferociously!

"HI LADY!"

Dorin, king of fluff.

The halls echoed with noise and voices, and Oin had sat quietly in his corner, enjoying his new wife's company, and watching the area around. He smiled with an unusually quiet thoughtfulness, perhaps befitting the title a Patriarch filled more than normal.

But his mind was elsewhere, deep in the caves in the thick and dark where some had been saved. He found a gleam of Something and he wanted to see if it was a blessing, or curse. The sparkle in the caves while Thorin was away never left his mind, but he hoped, and he slowly rose, grooming Asali lovingly and approached a sweet spot in the dens. He cast Thorin a glance, and the King acquiesced with a discreet nod. Oin breathed, and spoke.

It was Time.

"If I may have your attention, just a moment..." Oin's voice didn't waver, but the male did have a tone of caution-- unused to speaking so loudly to so many yet. "But I would like to acquire eager paws and eager eyes for a hunt."

He took in reactions, watching.

"A hunt, you see, in our darker tunnels, a hunt where we may yet find fallen and ruin. I saw something I require aid for."

A smile.

"The Dvergr, my friends, may yet be blessed with treasure."

Will you follow Oin or remain with Thorin?

There is no penalty either way, but there may be treasure for those whom follow! Newcomers may xtill, of course, join at any time. Think of it like a party game!

Stienn turned his attention to Oin, ears perking. A hunt? There ere still deeper places that had yet to be cleaned, or even ventured. Steinn was curious, perhaps a trait of his youth.

"Aye, you have my interest, Oin," that patriarch of clan Haldis proclaimed.

---

KisuKari listened, but this seemed like a job for the Dwarves, than a nimble little creature like her. So, curious though she was, she'd remain and enjoy the festivities.

---

Onundr looked thoughtful Hmn, something deep within the mountain? His old bones may not be much help, but his knowledge might prove of some use? Oh, no, if things were dangerous, he'd just be getting in the way... But treasure! Oh, even a geezer like him still felt the thrill of treasure! Best let Oin decide, perhaps.

"Perhaps you need a knowledgeable mind on this hunt, lad? I'd be happy to follow along, unless you think this might be too dangerous for an ol' slowpoke like me, haha!" Onundr laughed.

Dahabu-ausi was glad to be in a pride again, a stable home. Hopefully more stable than his two before...It had been strange, being handed a clan to watch over, but he didn't mind too much. He was strong, for all his goofy tendencies, and he had experience leading...even if it had only been his own family before. Really, though, most of his clan at current was his family. He hoped that wouldn't be a permanent thing...Something like a clan needed fresh blood to grow and thrive.

When he heard mention of treasure, he perked and managed to look away from where he'd been talking with his mates and his granddaughter. Oh? Well than! He wasn't YOUNG, per say, not anymore, but he was certainly still strong and spry.

"I can aid in your endeavor, Oin." He stepped towards the stouter male, smile on his maw.

NovaCracker

Fatima's head tilted to one side at the mention of treasure, and how it pulled her grandfather away. She didn't complain though, nor did she volunteer. She wasn't the sort made for going that far within the mountain. Not without getting in the way. She giggled, her smile mirroring her grandfather's as she moved to find someone else to talk to. There were still so many Dvergr to meet!

Mihr was in heaven. So many pretty girls, more than a few of them new bloods! The black-and-white lion grinned happily as he approached an exotically colored lady (all white and blue and pink!), trying to be 'smooth' and not make himself obvious with her father so close to her. Whether he would succeed or not was a totally different story. "Hello there m'lady. You are new gem brightening our halls."

-_Wish of Tevarae_-

Mazatl, for all his wandering paws, was enjoying life among the Dvergr. Nice stable food source, nice stable den, and an abundant supply of things to craft with. And now...Females. GORGEOUS. FEMALES. One in particular drew his eye, quiet against the walls. While others spoke of retrieving treasures, the pale newcomer slipped over to this attractive specimen of warrior female, a spring to his step.

"Hello, miss! Quite a fun party already, isn't it?"

-_Wish of Tevarae_-

Laini-moto could not describe the sort of relief he felt from being in a pride again. A nice safe, secure one where he could keep Caellagh far away from demons and danger, and raise their sons (and maybe another daughter or two, if they did not wish to grow within the Antianeira) in peace. Peace. Oh how he was relishing that word. And with the new peace they had found came joy...not just from the party going on, but the marriages before as well. For his own son had been among those married.

His new daughter-in-law was interesting, and quite a match for his happy-go-lucky son. It would be interesting to see how they played out.

Dáithí didn't think he could get any happier. he was in a new home, with a new job that he was finding he enjoyed, and he had a mate. A pretty, fiery female that he fully intended to spoil as best he could. Treasure was mentioned, and he couldn't help but look up from where he sat with his new mate, head tilting as he weighed his options. As much as he wouldn't mind going, he decided to stay with the festivities and Shula for the moment. He was newly married; he couldn't go gallivanting off after everything!

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko

Aanga relaxed under her fur as Onundr accepted that answer, smile growing just a bit. Yorath's greeting had her nodding to the other, a bit comforted by the sight of someone just as bright among the Dvergr as she and Asali. "It wouldn't do for us to miss this party, now would it, Patriarch?" There was a small undertone of humor that leaked into her voice.

Another new face came up to them, and she looked the girl over. She was the sort of colors the Dvergr had been used to, and she bore signs of mountain living...though more on-and-in, not inside. "I see no reason to speak against you joining our number." Her gaze turned to Thorin. "What say you, my king?"

The promise of treasure that her brother-in-law brought with his arrival made her chuckle a bit, amused at the myriad of reactions it brought forth. Especially from the old Dvergr Onundr. It was good that he was at least mindful of his age, and that the task might be dangerous. She'd seen too many older lions and lionesses walk off to their own doom because they were too stubborn.

"I'm Muista by name. I used to be a healer, and have trained and served as one for most of my life. I'd love nothing more than to use my abilities in what ever manner they may be needed here." The striped lass had to steel herself to keep from fidgeting. In the pride in which she had grown up, Muista had never before found herself standing before it's leaders, much less a Patriarch in addition to the King and Queen. Anxious though she was, the lioness kept her posture and a polite smile. Muista could fight and hunt and defend as need be as well. After her pride melted apart around her, she had lived on her own for a time. In that time alone, she discovered it to be dreadfully lonesome and too quiet for her tastes. Not bad, but not something she wanted to do for the rest of her days.

Nayeli occasionally would stop her stalking to peer around and see if any one in particular leaped out at her. The lioness had been sorely considering her plan B, at least until someone in particular did leap out at her in mid-stride. So intent she had been in her looking that she didn't notice the great approaching fluff ball. The pounce had Nayeli in a full sprawl, but her mood being such as it was, she broke out into a full, warm laugh. Gracious, was he a fluffy one! Nayeli playfully swatted him about the shoulders and finally once lightly on the nose.

"Hello, gent!" She echoed brightly. "A happy spirit certainly has you!" The lioness grinned. It seemed her party partner had found her. "Say, want to take these festivities for all they've got, or do you want to go hunting in the depths?" Really, both sounded exciting to her and either way she was bound and determined to have a good time.

Jifya wasn't really sure what was going on. It seemed many of the other lions were getting excited at the idea presented by Oin. Digging around in the caves for treasure and to resolve mysteries of the deep? He couldn't say he was against that kind of thing, himself. It did sound interesting. He wondered if it would be okay for him to join in, considering he had only just thrown himself into the pride and he still wasn't sure of his footing.

But there was no time like when opportunity presented itself, right? he wouldn't be known as the little coward who didn't get involved in something exciting just because he happened to be new!

"I'll join this exploration!" Jifya called merrily, "let's see what we can find!" He was excited- it seemed to resonate in his very bones. A strong anticipation, a great desire to go rushing forward.

This was just the kind of adventure he was looking for.

((Sorry so long guys! Summary is, I'm a dumbshit so Poi'll kick me to focus better, orz.))

"There is no cause to turn those seeking to live amongst us peacefully away." Thorin spoke calmly, smiling to Asali. "And there is no good reason, my dear, you need question your judgement."

Particularly not when they got home.

He watched Oin gather several excited lions, and his maw twitched into a faint smile as he watched, turning to face the group remaining, motioning.

Food was brought, as n** was carried in to replenish spent stores. The male smiled, sitting.

"There is no need to shy away, my friends. We share in this celebration as a pride, not as individuals. Do not hesitate to speak to one another."

-------------------------------------------------

Oin beamed at the poarty gathering, nodding and looking to Onundr.

"Any help is of use." The male motioned, a paw waving eagerly.

"We'll be taking a tunnel to an area the fire caused a rockslide in and sealed with ash. The ash is cool, and the area is barren of dead. If we can move the stones, we may yet find the treasutes lost to us in the fires themselves."

His eyes lit up. "And more, there are fresh stones; both colourful and exotic!"

The Patriarch beamed. It was a sizeable crowd, and numbers would help them clear the way.

As they walked along the caverns, the ash scent rose slightly. While to many it was unnerving, it was also cold. Members of Clan Dracen wound almost, but not entirely, find it homey, and granite everywhere glistened, damp from humidity and the low light made what could be seen glisten. Oin occasionally moved plants, cracks with threads of light entering the caverns, casting beams before in a pile of rocks and ash, there was a glint of gold and emerald.

In Oin's party? Roll a 20 sided dice. You may roll once per character!

Rolls are:

1 - Ow, that hurt! While digging you stubbed your paw so you take a moment. Rocks are tricksy. Like hobbitses.

2 or 3: - You dug up... A volcanic rock. Not very shiny, but hey, it's sometimes neat to bat around, right?

4: Rocks move, and a little more room is made to access the treasure room!

5: A rock moves and lands just right to break! You found a geode, which while not rare, is very hard to break! so lovely!

6. Fortune smiles on you! Rocks move, ash falls, and you uncover a piece of citrine or amethyst! How lucky a dwarf are you!

7 - 9. You found some Silver Topaz, Peridot, or Tanzanite! Very good digging, and the treasure room is still buried! What else might the mountain have for a plucky dwarf?!

10. JACKPOT. The rocks fall and you find a nice piece of ancient dwarven jewelry, like a gold bracelet, or an old fur, and now you can wiggle in towards the treasure room!

With a large paw and a well placed push, Steinn caused a few of the built up rocks to cave in and tumble, revealing some goodies. There was a glimmer in his eye - the look any treasure-loving dwarf gets when faced with treasure. he slipped the trinket on the his foreleg for safe-keeping, then called to the others.

"The rocks caved in a little here when I pushed on them. It might be a good place to start digging!"
