"You ever stop runnin' that mouth of yours? I bet not. Seems to be a thing with you Suns. That how they decide what division t'put you in? Whoever runs their mouth the most gets shoved into Sun?"

The axe once more met with Fear shield, and the runes across the flat face of the axe seemed to crackle brilliantly.

"Wouldn't know, I've only met one other Sun, and he was ******** singing." He hit her again, but the shock of it was gone. She knew that blade wouldn't cut her, and until it did she could push past the initial pain.

She needed to get close again, to take the advantage of his hands and place it back in her own. Falling into a quick run, she darted for him again, but pivoted last second to the left, coming around at his side to go for his ribs.

Herryk's charge was ready, and Tuck unleashed it.

Of course it ended in disappointment for everyone involved.

Tuck didn't even bother saying anything. Instead he merely stood his ground, looking utterly outraged.

Peyton was none the wiser that he'd done anything at all.

She on the other hand had moved to face him again and was doing her damnedest to knock his as on the ground. It was her new goal for this fight.

Something in him was off-center, and he couldn't put his finger on it. Tuck didn't like who he was becoming, but he wasn't sure how to change things back to the way they were. It felt almost as if too much stress was bearing down on him, especially since he knew Gnat was on the island - and he hadn't handled himself well with the whole Nevada situation.

He'd never meant things to happen the way they had. Regrets? Yeah, he had some.

It felt good to feel the contact that Herryk made with Peyton's shield just above her knee.

Tuck's hit was enough to knock Peyton off her feet, and she kicked wildly at him as her back hit the ground, but her foot only hit air.

Scrambling back, she pushed herself up again, fingers curling tightly around Warrick as he gave an angry hiss in her head.

An odd grin shaped Tuck's lips, and he was after Peyton again, this time with a lot of force behind the blow.

Apparently Tuck had decided he was going to take this spar seriously. What had been wild swings before were aimed now, and they had power behind them. She staggered as her shelf was struck again, and Warrik roared through her mind, obviously pissed, urging her to release the power she was till holding onto.

Fine!

It was time to end this.

Warrick gave a cry of delight, and all that Fear he'd drained from Tuck's shield was collected, condensed, and fueled back into his partner. There was no physical change, only a sudden bubbling of cold giggles erupting from that petite body as she went at him.

She hit him, and the force with which those tiny curled knuckles connected with his jaw was harder then anything else she'd thrown at him. This was warricks power, to lend his strength to the tiny hunter so she was hitting and over twice her normal strength. Of course great power reaps equal consequences, so even as satisfaction rushed over her, she could feel her own hand and arm taking an almost equal damage. There had to be a few broken fingers, and she cradled her hand as she backed away from Tuck.

For a moment after that connect, Tuck thought for certain he was going to lose his s**t. Literally. His vision swam, and a sick nausea twisted in his stomach. The large man went reeling, stumbling back before using Herryk to catch his fall.

The urge to vomit was strong, but he managed to suppress it.

The gash that was left behind thanks to Peyton's weapon was bright against his dark skin as it traced along his jaw. Fighting the sick feeling in his stomach, Tuck experimentally attempted to open and close his mouth.

Thank ******** God, nothing appeared to be broken - but it ******** hurt, a blinding sort of pain that he'd never experienced before in his life.

Blood was dampening Tuck's shirt at a rapid pace, and he gave the small Sun a bleary look. He didn't bother trying to talk, but Tuck staggered over to his jacket and scarf. Wadding up the dark green fabric, Tuck held it to his jaw before desummoning Herryk.

Everything ******** ached. Pain, so intense, was arcing through his entire body.

<It is nothing that Herryk cannot fix.> The weapon sounded almost... flippant.

I'm going to go die.

<It may need sewing. Stitches? Like a patchwork, hmm?>

Tuck took what was left of his mangled dignity and walked off the field. First to the infirmary, and then to bed.

Peyton watched as Tuck staggered back, caught himself with his ax, and Aside from the splash of crimson at his jaw he was looking just a wee bit pale, and she rathere expected him to just fall over at any second. The last time she'd seen anyone looking that ashen they'd dropped, spilling their lunch all over the the place.

Thankfully, because Peyton did not deal will with vomit, he either suppressed the urge, or never had it to begin with. Instead he grabbed his scarf, pressed it to the bleeding jaw, then walked away. Leaving Peyton to stand there, cradling broken fingers, staring after him. Thin chest raising and falling in heavy pants from the exertion and pain alike.

She wondered if maybe she should call after him as he left the field, but she wouldn't have known what to say. Hell, it probably would have been sarcastic, and she didn't see that being very helpful right now.

Instead she let Warrick desummon, then grabbed her own coat and scarf. You can fix my hand, right, War? Her fingers we beginning to swell up, and she couldn't move them anymore.

<I can help, but you'll want to get those set.>

"Great.." With that she too left the field, headed towards the infirmary.
