"I don't see how... I just... like... I like you guys and stuff but like," Al crossed his arms a bit defensively. "I'm not like you guys. Talking about that stuff weirds me out. Especially in a public place where I'm made to see it an' stuff." He tightened his arms, "It's weird and kinda creepy."

"Can you explain why to feel it's weird and kind of creepy?" Jordan asked patiently.

"Because it's like... can you explain why it's weird and creepy for like a 90 year old to be dating a 10 year old? It's just like... not normal." Al struggled to explain. "I feel sick to my stomach having to see it."

"Well, first of all, children can't consent to a relationship like that, second, a large age gap is creepy because the life experience doesn't match up and it's not likely that there's much common ground, and third, wow, that comparison is really offensive," Jordan said, giving Al an unamused look. "So, do you feel sick to your stomach at any display of affection, or is it just the gay stuff that bothers you?"

"Any," Al admitted despite the scolding offended tone Jordan took clearly upsetting him; he was visibly shivering but did not appear to be mad. "But especially gay stuff."

"You're going to have to get used to seeing some public displays of affection, and we're not the only ones, dude. Sorry," Jordan said, shaking his head, but letting his tone soften a little. "I know that it's just not done where you come from. But it's been making Rep angry and upset that you can't seem to accept him as he is."

"I accept it, I just don't have to like that one part." Al realized almost immediately that he should probably elaborate, "I think he's awesome and amazing and the best ever but I don't have to like everything. I mean, I have traits I bet he hates already. But I know he doesn't hate me."

"You don't have to like it, no," Jordan agreed. "But if you're going to express that opinion, you're going to have to accept that you're pissing him off. And, incidentally, me and Harrison, and possibly a few others around here. Or more than a few others. You're also going to have to accept that if you express that opinion, you're going to get people expressing other opinions back."
"Incidentally," he added, "you still haven't given me a reason for saying that being gay is weird and creepy besides just stating that it's weird and creepy. If you're going to try to guilt my fiance over that, it'd be nice if you had an actual reason."

Al didn't really care about pissing off other people. Just Rep. "Whatever," He glossed over Jordan's warning with disrespectful petulance. When asked again to clarify his feelings, it only annoyed him further, "Because it feels weird and creepy to me. Do I really need more reason than that?"

"Yes, actually. You do. Let me try phrasing it this way," Jordan said. "I think it's pretty weird and creepy that your eyes are green. I'm going to tell you that you're weird and creepy for having green eyes every time I see you. Or every time you say anything that reminds you you've got eyes. You're weird. And creepy. Would you be okay with that?"

Al gave Jordan a stern frown, "I never said he was weird or creepy. I wouldn't care if you called my eyes weird or creepy."
They aren't right?
"I'm calling that THING weird and creepy. 'Cause it is. To me."

"You're calling something that's a part of some people's personal identity weird and creepy, for no reason other than that you, personally, feel weird about it. You don't see why that could be offensive or make someone mad? Specifically, a guy you say you like and look up to?"

"I don't tell him that. He like. Never brings it up and doesn't like ask 'cause he doesn't expect things out of me with it that aren't going to happen. Like I'll never feel okay with it. You're asking questions, I'm just answering you. I could say more on how I feel but I'd just make you more pissed."

"You did tell him that on twitter. Not in so many words, but it was very clear." Jordan angled an eyebrow at Al. "I'd like to hear more on how you feel. I'm curious as to why you have such a big problem with this. Why you're apparently afraid of it."

"Like I said, it makes me feel sick to my stomach. I just don't tell him that. A frowny is no big deal. It's just like whoa guys way too much info, dial it back a bit." He was shaking a bit more violently now, clearly in no control of it.
