So the creation of youma was directly linked to a person's starseed, and if what Benitoite said was correct, then it yielded some interesting revelations. Much like a glass full of liquid, shattering a starseed must release something into the body, corrupting and mutating it into something of nightmares. Then, does that mean that humans are inherently evil? They're naturally inclined toward entropy? Was Bischofite correct this entire time in believing the human race wasn't worth salvaging? Perhaps he should exploit them for all the fun they might possibly offer, before reducing them to their baser selves or snuffing them out without a youma's birth.

However, as an officer of the Negaverse, it seemed a wiser idea to shatter their starseeds then simply reap them. Though it was a pity, an unconscionably massive army of youma would certainly beget victory.

Finally Bischofite sat up and supported himself on his elbows. "Yes, see what you can find out. I'd like to know how else starseeds and youma are linked." Youma ate starseeds, right? And if youma were birthed from the fragments of starseeds, would they not eat each other? If trapped in a room with no other means to survive, would they attempt to consume any other youma? A plethora of questions plagued him, questions that only experimentation and gruesome explorations would answer. Then again, Bazzite had a better chance at obtaining the answers he sought relatively easily. He was one of them. Certainly he could manage a little probing into the insights of the more ancient youma. Their intellects may far surpass that of humankind. Wouldn't that be a pleasant surprise?

The thought of being able to walk along the youma excited him. These creatures, though born from human starseeds, lacked all the abrasive traits that caused him to abhor humanity. They behaved as animals: logical, simple, instinctive. There was no room for superfluous emotions like love, compassion, or kindness. They behaved in a way that made sense. And now that he was a captain, he could hazard a trip to the Rift without risking death quite as often.

"So one can be part-youma? Interessant..." She couldn't have found existence through the same means as the youma - it seemed an impossibility. Humans and youma are essentially two stages of the same life - once one stage ends, the other (possibly) begins. At least, that's what he understood from Benitoite and Bazzite's explanations. "If I ever find her, I want to ask how zat happened. It doesn't sound possible." However, given their accounts of her appearance, he doubted it was some Negaverse fable.

Bischofite glanced at his general's hand and considered turning him down. He felt much too comfortable on the rooftop to bother getting up, even for reaping starseeds. However, falling asleep while powered sounded like a terrible idea, and he wouldn't glean any further information by simply lazing around. He needed to motivate himself into action if he was serious about seeking answers. With an exasperated huff, he accepted Benitoite's proposal. "Fine, if zat's what you want."

"Tanzanite brought me into the Negaverse." mused the youma, standing up to his full height in anticipation of a mass move on their part. "I remember, from a long time ago. Serandite was there too but I haven't seen her in a long time. Haven't seen hind nor hair of Tanzanite. Haven't heard anybody talk about her either. She was a General-Queen, too..." Bazzite shrugged, talking to no one in particular for a moment or two.

Turning to Benitoite, he gladly answered his General's question. "Haven't met too many who can speak, but a couple here and there. The talkers are pretty rare though. Most of the time you find the ones with no mind at all, just stomach."

And thus was the simplistic existence in the Rift. Both a blessing and a curse for the ones who could think beyond themselves.

"Tanzanite, I would think, would be down in the Rift." he explained, eyes locking onto Bischofite in an attempt to assist in a roundabout way. If youma could only live there, it would make perfect sense that even half-youma would be restricted in the same way. Youma were simply required to live there, to survive and feed there and there only. "I can ask around for you, if you want. Or... better yet, you could come down there with me sometime. I won't mind." It was clearly a ploy for more companionship down in the lonely darkness of the Rift. Bazzite didn't seem to care whether it was obvious or not.

"Yes, it seems one can be part youma as well. Perhaps though some other means. I have been told that eating too much energy or starseeds is not wise - perhaps that is the reason? An overload of power." Shrugging as he smiled at his Captain. He was glad to see Bischofite would be joining himself and Bazzite tonight. These were two people who were important to him. One was his Captain who lived with him and the other his youma who had once lived with him, and was now bonded to him.

"I will see what information I can seek out for you Bischofite and perhaps some of the youma who can speak will talk with me as well." Though that could be a tricky, if not dangerous, thing. He was willing to try and most wouldn't try and harm a General, much less claim his life. But some surely would and not care. It seemed, to him anyway, that most youma were animalistic and operated in such terms. Some however seemed smarter and could and would take offence to things and those ones were harder to deal with, like handling a bomb, as something could upset them and being smart enough to become upset...well it could end badly. But most of them also were likely smart enough to know now to kill, or seriously hurt, an agent.

"Serandite...I've heard the name but I haven't a face or uniform to place to it." But he knew he'd heard the name. Maybe he should, whenever he had time, peek into the files on members and hopefully find pictures attached. He doubted he would but maybe he'd get lucky and someone would have put in some powered up or even civilian photos.

The offer might have been to Bischofite but Benitoite spoke up quickly. "I'd like to go down, perhaps see if we can't find out anything about the General Queen." He would like that and as he looked to Bischofite he almost hoped the other would join him in that. He could show his Captain around while also looking for Tanzanite.

"Now then...I do believe we have thing s to do." And stepping away from both youma and Captain the General stepped up onto the roof tops ledge and launched himself to the next roof top. Landing with ease he turned to glance over his shoulder. "Coming?" A teasing smile sent to the both of them. "I do promise a night of energy and starseed collecting - courtesy of the Destiny City red light district."

Bischofite's mind wandered with the presentation of a plethora of unrecognizable names. Now that the two were engrossed in their own private memories of officers long since past, he found a certain solitude in his presence there. A certain understanding shared with the spectators of life - the buildings, the trees, the quiet streets. He was as they are - a fixture, an observer. In a way, that role felt suitable, welcoming. He understood existence a little better in his privilege of this private moment. Watching the two exchange identities and plans, albeit meager in the grand scheme of things, inspired him somehow.

Perhaps he was meant to exist outside time like this.

Benitoite's invitation called him back to reality, and he returned the boy's smile with a questioning glance. "Ze red light district? Interesting choice of venue." Though, the thought of indulging in their offerings appealed to him on equal ground to energy draining. But perhaps, in regards to reaping starseeds, they were one in the same. "Maybe ze prude isn't so prudish after all, eh?" He flashed his general a mischievous grin.

Bischofite sat up and stretched languidly, punctuating the action with a deep sigh. Though he yearned to simply lounge on the rooftop, the blonde appeared hellbent on goading the two into action. Perhaps goading wasn't the right word - his youma companion yielded to the general's every beck and call as if compelled, so little effort was required in spurring the blue monstrosity into action. Bischofite, however, didn't bend so easily to urgings. Still, this once he'd make an exception and yield to the boy's will, primarily because of the interesting opportunities to study starseeds. Who knew what epiphanies he may encounter by tagging along?

After rising to his feet, he crossed to the other rooftop in a mild effort. Rather than stepping down from the ledge, he simply squatted from where he stood and waited for the winged youma to join them. "You'll haf' to lead ze way - I'm afraid I haven't discovered Destiny City's prostitution hub on my own." A travesty, to be certain. "But does your blue pet haf' to come? I can't say his company is to my taste - our last encounter left somesing to be desired. It tried to strangle me."
