With lucky charms in her belly and having finally managed to get dressed for the day, Rowan finally felt a lot more normal and less of the ‘ugh is it morning already’ that she’d been feeling when having to drag herself out of bed.
And that meant turning her attention to party things. She’d dressed nicer than normal, because of the party, but hadn’t gone all super-duper totally all out out about it.
No by turning her attention to party things, Rowan meant effectively meant reminding her Mum over and over about the snacks and drinks for the party later on – snacks that Rowan had happily volunteered her Mum for – after all the snacks had to be super, trouper awesome and Rowan knew that her Mum made the most neato snacks.
Mums could be forgetful though, which is why Rowan had to keep nag-reminding her about the snacks. At one point her Mum had laughed and called her an mini little ariston, but Rowan had no idea what an ariston thingy was. All she cared about at this point was not being the person who flaked out on the supplies.

Merrick was still in the bathroom, trying on different necklaces to find one that went best with her dress when her father poked his nose in to check on her.
"C'mon, Punkin-puss, you don't want to be late today, do you?"
Merrick loved it when her Daddy called her silly names. And she could see the smile on his face as he spoke to her. He knew how badly she wanted today to be perfect.
"I want to be as early as possible!" she responded eagerly. Quickly, she slid a necklace over her head and washed her hands. And just as she was about to sprint for the front door, she stopped and quickly turned with a mournful expression to her trailing father.
"Daddy! We forgot the treats! I can't go to the Party without the treats!"
Indeed, tears were already beginning to pool in her eyes at the thought of that particular humiliation. Might as well just go undress right now and crawl back to bed!
"Well, maybe you did, kitten. I remembered about midnight and got up to whomp something together. Don't worry, you'll have something to take."
She watched in wide-eyed adoration mingled with worry as her Daddy, the Best Daddy on Planet Earth, pulled a large Tupperware box from the cabinet and opened it for her inspection. Inside lay enough gooey, sticky bars to feed two schools. But what were they?
Seeing her puzzlement, her father quickly explained as he resealed the box.
"I was going to make Lemon bars, but didn't have any lemons. So I made Cherry-Limeade bars. They aren't bad for a panicky experiment. Good?"
Merrick was all smiles again as she took the box in her arms and waited for Daddy to get his car keys.
"Good!"

Taylor had just finished tying off her braids when she wandered into the kitchen to find her older sister standing at the counter and fiddling with a pan that she assumed, held something she had volunteered to bring to the party. A sudden burst of excitement shot through her when she saw it, realizing just how close the party was.
"G'mornin.. Are those the brownies?" Taylor asked in ways of a hello as she came closer to her older sister Alex, peering at the contents inside. The brownies looked like normal, chocolate squares and Taylor couldn't help herself but try and reach in to take one which earned a quick smack on the hand from Alex.
"Yes they are. Do they look good?" Alex asked while scooping them out and placing them into another container so she could take them to the party. Taylor gave a glance and then nodded, grinning at her sibling.
"Yeah they look great. I thought mom was going to make them though." She replied as she skirted around the counter to grab some of the toast that was laying on a plate and slipping on her nearby pair of flip flops. She vaguely remembered her request to mom to make them, but that had been long ago.
"She was, but I volunteered instead. I also volunteered to take you to school, that cool with you munchkin?"
Alex finished putting the brownies in the Tupperware container and snapped the lid on firmly, giving a smile as she handed the box to Taylor. Taylor loved her older sister, she was always rather easy going and made any day better, which meant that her morning could only get better.
"Yes!" She replied eagerly. Option: B) It's all about the goodies! You better make sure your parents remember the goodies and things they were so kinda 'volunteered' into bringing to the party. Parents can be so forgetful after all and you wouldn't be caught dead flaking on party supplies!

Marisha groaned as she finally pulls herself out of the bed. Then blinks at her clock in shock at the time on it. She had not heard her alarm go off a second time. Jumping out of the bed she ran to the bathroom and started on her hair. She just had to look her best today. It was her last day of school and she would not be caught dead on one of the few free dressing days of Knightside in something less than trendy or fashionable. She quickly brushed her hair and tried to tame the unruly locks. However she had to admit defeat when she realized it would just take to long to fix them to be straight from her normal curls. Sighing she found her favorite hair-ties and quickly put the unruly hair into a set of pigtails before checking to make sure they were perfect in the mirror. once that was done she ran back into her room, glad she had set the outfit out the night before.
However upon looking at it she realized the shirt was too plain for the last day and wondered what she had been thinking choosing pants? Pouting she threw the clothes into one of her drawers and quickly went to her closet. She just knew there was a dress in there that would be perfect. Her aunt had given it to her for her birthday earlier that month and she had yet to wear it. But Marisha was sure that it would be perfect for the party. Opening the doors to the closet she quickly took to throwing the ones that were not what she was looking for behind her. Not caring much that they were landing on the floor in a horrible pile. She finally though spotted the sleeve of the dress she had been thinking of. It was a cute mid length dress with a decent amount of ruffles on the skirt and cap sleeves with a square neckline. It was white with pale blue piping on the edge of each ruffle and on the sleeves and neckline. Her aunt had even included stockings and cute little white shoes with the gift. It was the perfect party dress in Marisha's mind. However as she started to get it on she realized she had a problem. The cute dress she was so fond of zipped in the back and she could not reach the zipper.
"Mom!!!!" She cried out in desperation. "I can't get my dress on!!!" The woman came in wiping her hands on her apron to dry them with an amused look on her face. "I thought you decided to wear that cute shirt and jeans I bought you last week?" Her mother said as she came over and zipped her up. Marisha sighed at her mother's comment and thought, didn't she know anything? That outfit had been to plain for the last day of school's party. Surely her mother knew and understood that? However out loud Marisha only smiled. "But this looks better! And I can wear that outfit tomorrow with my friends! I haven't worn the dress from Auntie yet so the others in my class won't know this dress!" Marisha said before running over and pulling on her stockings and shoes before following her mom back to the breakfast nook.
She then grinned at seeing the meal her mother had made. It seemed her mother had figured this for an important day and had made Marisha's favorite, Chocolate Blueberry pancakes. With a grin and a 'thanks mom' she dug in and somehow managed not to get syrup all over her new dress. After the food she quickly got up and tracked down her backpack and ran out the door. She only had a few minutes to spare as she ran down the street to the bus stop. Nearly tripping as she stopped she grinned and waited. She just knew today would end up being a good day.
A) You've gotta dress to impress. Sometimes kids can be so cruel... maybe you should put some attention into making sure what you're wearing the most perfect awesome outfit today? After all, how often does Knightside allow free dressing days? This is your chance!

Jenny stumbled down the stairs and curled up in her father's recliner before drifting off to sleep again. She was rudely reawakened when her older brother tipped the chair forward so she slid out of it to land in a ungainly heap upon the carpet.
"Kenny, you.... you.... butt head!" She yelled as she rubbed her hands over her eyes. Four years older than her and he was still such a child.
The towheaded boy stuck his tongue out at his little sister and reminded her of what today was. "It’s the last day of school and you’re still sleeping. Get up 'cuz tomorrow we are going camping and mom wants to know if you have everything packed.”
Jenny glared at Kenny before getting up and punching him in the arm. He just rolled his eyes and sauntered out of the room to grab his book bag. Jenny blew a razzberry at his back before heading out of the living room to find her mom. “Mom? Mom?” After looking upstairs and downstairs she finally found her in the pantry with her head behind a box. “Mom? What are you doing?”
“Grabbing the stuff for your class party honey.” Jenny’s mom mumbled as she stretched to reach that bag of plates from last summer’s family picnic. “Jenny I really wish you had talked about this with us first before volunteering us for plates.”
“But I did… at dinner with you guys two weeks ago. You were talking to dad about the trip and I asked if we could do the plates for the school party and you said sure but then went back to talking to dad. It’s not my fault you forgot.” Jenny crossed her hands and looked away angry that her mom forgot.
“Yes, yes. Your right I did forget.” Her mom had finally snagged the half used bag and held them out behind her, “Here take these will you.” She still had to find more plates.

"Dad, dad, dad, dad, dad!" the boy exclaimed, pulling on his shirt as he peeked his head out of his door. "We have the chips right?"
His dad chuckled. "Course we do, sport. They're on the counter."
"Okay!" He pulled on a pair of shorts as well, and then slipped into his sandals. He wasn't too concerned with what he was wearing, but the snacks, those were important.
Milo bounded down the staircase, pausing just for a moment to snag a cup of kibble for his dog. He poured it into the dish before snagging a pop-tart of his own, chewing on it as he made sure that he had everything. Alright! He was ready to go.
"I'm heading to the bus now!" he said, grabbing the bag that held the two bags of chips.
"Alright. Don't forget that I'm picking you up from school, so don't ride the bus home."
"Got it! See you then, dad." He darted out of the house, making his way to the bus stop.

Rosie had been well prepared for today when it came to dressing up. Instead of wasting time in front of the mirror and stressing out what kind of outfit she would wear today, she had done those things at yesterday evening. So, today she only needed to put the outfit on, check her hair and go. Trusting their main clock in the kitchen, she didn't really hurried while dressing up and eating breakfast.
"Bye bye!" she called out before starting her way towards the bus stop.
C) Hakuna Matata. Why would you worry about things like what you were wearing or bringing stuff to the party? It's your party right? That's the school/teachers job! Without any worries you leisurely finish getting ready before you head out the door.

As you make your way to the bus stop you notice it empty, you must have missed it! Devastated you head home. You'll like make it to school, but unfortunately you're going to be late, atleast you can say you are fashionably late? (Unfortunately you are out, thanks for playing!) Players who choose CC/CB (LLK, moonlit raven, fairymount)Getting up early had it's benefits! Whether you chose to add extra routines to your morning got you to the bus stop with plenty of time. When the bus arrives you and your fellow students head off to school, most of which chattering happily about the party! (@ Fairymount - You are free to take the car ride instead of the bus ride mentioned in your post) Everyone elseIt seems like you just didn't allot enough time this morning! Between all the excitement and chaos of trying to get ready you've managed to take just too much time getting ready. When you get to the bus stop you notice it empty, the bus has already gone! It's a good thing your parents were planning on going to your school anyway to volunteer or drop off stuff. Hurrying home you quickly hop in the car hoping you won't be too late! (Again, if anyone already stated their parents were going to drive them instead of the bus you are free to continue with that line).
Prompt Three The next prompt will be posted around 9am PST Wed 28th You have until then to post for this prompt!
Quote: You arrive at school, finally! And things are chaotic! The playground is full of students running around and the hallways are filled with children. Was that a paper airplane that just flew by? Perhaps it's the excitement of freedom or the lack of people finishing up homework or studying for early morning tests because it seems like almost everyone is chatting or playing. Are there even any adults around? You certainly don't see any.
A) Focus! Sure everyone is hanging around or playing, ohh and your best friend is right over there, but you've got to get to the classroom! You want to drop off your treats or backpack or just otherwise get to class as soon as possible.
B) Let's get this party started! Everyone else is playing, how could you pass that up? You stop to chat with your friends or play in the few minutes before the bell rings.
Please makes sure to include your choice somewhere in your post bolded. This can be as simple as including it at the bottom, outside of the rp post.

Giving her father a hasty kiss on the cheek before scrambling out of the car with her precious cargo of goodies, Merrick ran as well as she was able for her classroom. All the milling and chattering of her classmates was so terribly distracting and she wanted to stop and chatter back so badly! But she couldn't be late. Not today!
Even so, when she saw Gwennie she was hard-pressed to limit her normally effusive greetings to a wave and called out promise to talk to her later. But such self sacrifice would be worth it when she was not only on time, but early! She had to look at it that way or she'd go crazy from wanting to stop and play.
After what seemed like forever, she was at her classroom and happily setting down the Tupperware box on the proper table. Glancing at the clock, she sighed for the lack of time to do anything and simply went to her desk and sat.
Though she didn't sit still, squirming and fidgeting with excitement.

It felt as if the whole school was excited about today, running and talking and playing. Course, why wouldn't they be. This was the last day of school, and once the bell rang, they would be free!
He made his way to the classroom, focusing on moving through the crowd. It was tempting to stop, to chat and join in the paper airplane making, but he had a mission. And they'd get to chat once class started properly. That was the whole point of parties.
Milo waved enthusiastically towards his best friend, motioning that he should follow. They were in the same class, and Milo saw no reason why they couldn't hang out in the classroom while they waited for school to start.

It was probably just as well that her Mum was dropping the snacks off at school today as by the time Rowan reached the bus stop the bus had already gone and she had ended up having to run back home so that she could get a lift in with Mum. Rowan had bounced impatiently in her seat all the way there, not wanting to be late on today of all days.
It seemed like the whole school was out there chattering in the playground once they finally got there and Rowan even spotted her best friend Amanda playing jump rope with Katie, but much as Rowan wanted to do nothing more than play she had herself a mission to complete – helping Mum safely deliver all the treats.
If she was lucky then maybe there would be a little time left to play jump rope with Amanda and Katie once all the snacks had been dropped off at the classroom.

Giving a quick hug to her sister, Taylor hopped out of the car and made her way into the school, dodging the paper airplanes that seemed to be flying about. Wow, everyone was so excited and Taylor couldn't help but grin a little herself as she weaved her way between kids and tried to not drop her tray of brownies.
It was a roar of chatter and excitement and as Taylor slowly made her way to her classroom, she spotted her friends all together in a corner talking about this and that. Her best friend Kyle spotted her and gave her a wave, his smile inviting her to come over but she simply shook her head and gave a wave back before continuing on. She needed to get these brownies to the classroom!
Pushing her way through more kids (and narrowly ducking another airplane) Taylor finally made her way to her classroom and set the container of treats on a table with all the others, then dropping her backpack in her usual desk, feeling proud of herself that she had managed to do this all in time. Option: A) Focus! Sure everyone is hanging around or playing, ohh and your best friend is right over there, but you've got to get to the classroom! You want to drop off your treats or backpack or just otherwise get to class as soon as possible.

Oh no, the growth. A loud, chaotic growth. To such orderly girl such as Rosie this was a scary experience. Sure, it wasn't her first time to experience something like this but it still didn't make her feel any better. Hastily she walked through hallways, to her classroom which she found out being lovely calm. Only couple of her classmates had arrived in there and were occupied by chatting with each other.
Silently, Rosie went to sit behind her desk. It didn't take long before she pulled a piece of paper and a penfrom her desk and started sketching flowers while she waited for the school to start.

Sapphire was waltzing out the door when she saw the bus stop empty. She paused as she looked around. Oops, she'd missed the bus. "MOM!"
She shouted as she turned back into the house, "MOM~ I MISSED THE BUS!" Actually, it might be questionable if Sapphire had done that on propose, because she really didn't want to ride the bus today. She popped up back in the kitchen. "We should get going. If we don't I'm going to be late, late."
Her mother didn't look happy but the whole car ride she was humming vacation I just wanna get away. When she got to school she skipped through the hallways, pausing when she saw her best friend. Oh it was so tempting to stop and just chatter, and play a bit. However, she headed to the classroom anyways and bounced in making sure the teacher had the cupcakes and shoving her bag into the cubbyhole. Sapphire however, did grab her sketch book from her bag so she could doodle until time for class.

Now that Jenny was officially awake, thanks to Kenny, she kept a close eye on the time and was dismayed at how late it had gotten. "Daddy! We're going to be late."
"I know, baby girl. The keys were locked in the car and I had to find the spare key."
"Oh..... are we leaving soon?"
"Yes, baby girl."
After a while they got on their way and it wasn't long before Jenny was dropped off at school with her stack of plates. She saw all her friends already playing but she had her arms full and didn't want to put them down. Besides all she had to do was give the plates to the teacher then she could go play.... right?
