"Is Remarque coming with us?" the youma asked absently. "Don't Dark Mirrors need energy from somethin'?"

Bazzite rubbed his stomach and frowned, ears drooping with the movement. While he lived down in the Rift, his hunger was mostly satiated but nothing was quite as satisfying as going topside and actually eating. "Starseeds taste like... hope and childhood. Like you're holding someone's sweet little candied soul in your belly. There's nothing quite like it. I never understood why anybody would want to eat one until I tried one myself."

The youma chuckled, shoulders rolling and wings buzzing. "I would choose starseeds over pizza, if I was able to make that kind of choice."

Listening to Bazzite's answer he found himself laughing. "I do like how you describe it - a candied soul. Buddingtonite actually asked me about the taste of them, something about making a candy which tastes like them." He said with a roll of his shoulders before looking to Remarque. "He can come with us if he wishes. And yes, Dark Mirror senshi need to gather energy. Their manner of gathering it is different from ours; the first time I ever saw it was the first time I met a dark mirror senshi. I saw Leto gathering and learned that night of the new faction." That was a night how far off in the past, when the Dark Mirror faction had been oh so new. They'd even had a meeting some nights later about it.

Nodding to Remarque's words, about wraiths, and how they gathered he smiled. "That was an interesting, if not shocking, thing to see when one doesn't expect it. Though I'm sure if you saw one of us consume energy or a starseed it would be just as shocking for you, if not more so. But we do our energy gathering ourselves and starseeds are mostly untaken. It is a skill still taught though, it can save someone in a fight with a senshi or a knight." If it came down to it one did what they had to in order to survive. Was it something a dark mirror senshi could do; if they ever round up in such a position. He hoped they could, it would certainly end a fight fast.

When you got used to something, like taking starseeds or even eating them, it became easy to discuss. It wasn't his fault he didn't have issues in talking about them and spoke about it as though he were discussing the weather; even if he was really talking about what equated to a persons soul. You could say it was like a solider talking about death with more and more ease as things went on, talked about personally killing people even. It was a numbing or a dulling of certain things as an ease and comfort settled in. Was it chaos that did this to them? Not likely, as soliders did the same thing and doctors spoke of death and blood and such with some amount of ease as well. It was a simple matter of becoming too used to and too familiar with something. Was it a bad sign? No, not in his mind.
