Keilana pouted and then stuck out her tongue, being teased by her best friend she would tolerate, if it had been anybody else she would of most likely of gotten rather hostile. After being poked the baby kicked and she winced slightly. She would never quite get use to that...a hand going to her stomach as she tried to calm the child down.
A deep breath, recalling what Takoda said word by word and finding a few spots a little fuzzy. That much was annoying. Having her memory feel like it was full of holes...Takoda spoke of it as 'baby brain' where a expecting mother often forgot things or had spotty memory. He had earned a punch in the arm for that one.
"No...I mean I doubt he would let me go if he thought it was too far for a woman in my condition to travel that sort of distance. Lets keep moving...it feel restless and tired if I am not moving."

Aminah stuck her tongue back out at her friend, returning the gesture before laughing. Keilana winced slightly and Aminah's smile faded just a little before returning to normal. She never could tell if it was just Keilana thinking about the baby, or if it actually hurt when it kicked that made her wince. She hoped it didn't actually hurt. She didn't know much, but hurting wasn't really normal when pregnant.
Aminah nodded to her friend. "You're right, we should probably get going anyways. We still need to get to some water and to find your baby daddy." She chuckled a bit at her own lame joke. She had never met the man, Aminah was sure of that, and not the least bit surprised since she hadn't met that many people in Jauhar, but she would be happy when she was able to safely get Keilana to him and back. "And you're probably right. I don't see anyone in their right mind letting you wander around in your condition. Not to mention if they know you and your temper." Aminah laughed again.

Rolling her eyes was the best she could accomplish at this time, maybe later Animah would earn a light punch in the arm but for now..just eye roll. Though she did have to laugh at Animah's comment about her temper, that much was true...she did have short fuse at times and the baby didn't make things much better, in fact it tended to make it worse.
"Well yeah...I mean just look at me...looks like I swallowed a boulder...it weighs as much.." She sighed, as they continued their search. And boulders didn't move around and kick you ...she thought sourly but she did have to admit she was amazed that she managed to hide her pregnancy by avoiding her brother like he was the plague but hiding out with Animah and using Takoda as a distraction...
She would need to thank Takoda again once this was all over.
"Did you ever get a chance to meet Takoda?" She inquired as she recalled the last time they had really talked beyond baby banter was awhile ago and she had mentioned that Animah would probably really enjoy the monks company as well his wealth of information on plants.

Aminah gave a sympathetic look to Keilana. She felt for her friend, having to go through this with all of the problems with her brother and the strange family circle that was going on, but at the same time, she was more than a little envious. She wanted what Keilana had so badly, and the older she got, the worse this feeling was getting.
She felt a little of that motherhood with her younger sister, Sathe, but she wanted it all. She wanted the big belly, the aches and pains, and the kicking. She wanted all of that. She felt the familiar tug in her empty stomach.
But she shook herself of the feelings of envy and self pity and turned her attention back to supporting her friend. What had she said... oh! Takoda. "Not yet. What with all of this -" she motioned to the entirety that was Keilana "- I haven't been able to even see him lately." She laughed lightly before thinking it over. "Though I should probably see him after all of this is over. When we both have time. There's still a lot he could help me out with."

Giving a small smile she noting the little flits of emotions running on Animah's face though she had no idea it was because she was jealous of her and her condition. A hand on her belly as they continued to move onwards was enough to remind her she never wanted to try this again.
"Well make sure that you do, as much as I hate to say it I think you two have a lot in common and you both could really help the village." Keilana manged a bit distracted as she was now looking around trying to gather her bearings.
If what Takoda said was true...then..they should be really close to the village now. Putting a hand out she quietly asked for them to slow down.
"You know..I think we are here. I am not sure why...but I am sure this is the right spot. Do ..you mind if I take a look around for a bit by myself? I promise I won't go far.."

Aminah nodded at Keilana's suggestion of getting together with Takoda. It was true, they could probably do a lot for the village together. The timing just hadn't worked out so far. Maybe after the baby came it would get a little easier, since no doubt Aminah would be over at Keilana's all the time. Sathe was still such a newborn, maybe they could grow up together and be friends? Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Aminah was popped back out of her thoughts at Keilana's declaration of their reaching their destination. Really? She guessed that they had been walking quite a while, though with the conversation it didn't seem quite as long. She looked around at the area they were in, as if she was assessing how safe it was, then turned back to eyeball Keilana. "Well... if you think this is it, go for it I guess. I'll be here waiting for you. And make sure you shout if you need anything!" Aminah would have hated if something was wrong and Keilana was in trouble while Aminah was just twiddling her thumbs off in the forest somewhere.

Keilana nodded her head before she waddled off, after all it wasn't like she was going to be able to move quickly in her condition. After taking a small look around she spotted a tree house up in the bows of a very large tree. Blinking she saw some small children playing about up there and she figured this would be as good a spot as any to ask if this was Chalcedony lived.
First though she went back and told Animah of her plan and then disappeared again to the tree.

Much time passed and when Keilana finally appeared she looked worn, as if she had just run a marathon. A bunch of emotions had been felt since she had left Animah and she couldn't help but tear up a bit when she spotted her friend still patiently waiting for her. Using the back of her hand to wipe them away she then gave Animah a small wave.

Aminah spent the time away from her friend stuffed in her own thoughts, looking and examining plants nearby, sitting on rocks, playing with her hair, anything to pass the time. She was worried for Keilana, but she hadn't shouted out to her, and Aminah hadn't heard anything to make her think that she was in danger, so the best she could do was wait. Towards the end, Aminah was sitting in a low lying branch, enjoying the change in view.
When she saw her friend waddle back toward her, she shimmied her way down the few feet until she could safely drop to the floor.
"So... how'd it go?" Aminah smiled at her friend in relief, knowing that she was okay, and circled around her quickly, assessing her as if she wasn't sure if Keilana was just the way she had left her. She knew that normally she shouldn't be so worried, but she had never really had to help anyone get anywhere, and definitely not someone who happened to be pretty pregnant.

Placing a hand on her belly she gave a sigh and a slow smile as she at first couldn't see where her friend had gone. Once she had spotted her she gave a bit of a half shrug at the question. To be honest she still wasn't entirely sure how it went, Chalcedony knew now...he didn't deny or claim she was lying. He didn't run away...
"I guess it went well...." She began as she felt an enormous weight off her shoulders (figuratively of course), "After all he didn't run away...he wants to be apart of the babies life...so there is that much." Keilana continued as she sighed and stopped a few feet before Animah. "Hope you weren't too bored...it kinda went on a lot longer than I anticipated."

Aminah didn't realize she was holding her breath for this answer until she released it suddenly in a sigh. It was a sigh of relief really; she was glad that it had gone well enough at least. He wanted to be part of the baby's life. That was definitely a good thing. But Keilana didn't seem as happy as Aminah was.
"Is... there any chance that you two will be a family?" She joined her hands and laced her fingers, as if she was signaling a cohesive unit before continuing. "Or do you even want that?" Who knew; maybe after seeing each other again for so long Keilana didn't want Chalcedony around. Or maybe she wanted him to be around, just not the way Aminah always pictured it would be for her. A united family wasn't the only way to do things after all.
"And this trip was for you Kei; you take as much time as you need." She laughed. "It's pretty hard to get me to be bored." Which was partly true. She would gladly be bored out of her mind for hours if it meant that Keilana got what she needed to get done. This was a much bigger deal than keeping her attention span happy.

Ah it was a tricky question Animah was asking of her. A family? She mulled on it awhile. If she was able to convince Chalcedony to move to Tale, she doubted she could keep her brother and him at each others throats. No it was better perhaps if they didn't meet...ever. But that wasn't going to happen.
"Ah....maybe...a dysfunctional one...but I can't really see my brother getting along with the man he had to fight against for his mate. After all I am... I don't know...beyond ..." Keilana gestured to her bulging stomach, "this predicament we haven't really talked beyond this subject. I like him...I don't know if I could love him." She replied honestly, after all it would be hard to not feel like this was an obligation the baby being what brought them together.
"He wants to be there for the baby...so I am happy enough with that." The young woman nodded her head and went to place her hand on her stomach. "Lets head on home...I want more of that soup you made. I may not feel sick any longer but I have grown rather found of it." She chuckled.

Aminah listened intently to what Keilana had to say. She felt like she was hanging on every word and every time Keilana faltered and felt unsure was a drop in Aminah's stomach. Well, she would be there for her friend, that was for sure; and Aminah was almost positive that with some time things would work out exactly how they needed to.
She patted Keilana on the back lightly before pulling her in for a hug. "I have a feeling things are going to get better from here Kei." She smiled to her friend before patting her own growling stomach. "I could go for some soup, too, now that you mention it." She laughed with Kei and let her friend lead the way back home.
