She'd never thought it would work. There was zero doubt that as fit as Avery was, her strength was nothing compared to the angry senshi's, and yet...

Avery stumbled backward in shock, hands releasing Pandora's arm as if it burned her - though she had yet to use her attacks. Fortunately, she could hear the heavy bootfall of backup, and it stopped her from focusing too long on just how desperate Pandora was to save her.

She took another step back to allow the dashing, all-american Lieutenant Leucite to step between them, his hands reaching out to attempt to restrain Pandora. Hazel eyes flashed over to where Linarite was being helped by another handsome - if intimidating - lieutenant.

Within seconds, a hand was squeezing hers, reminding her to move. "Run," she said, voice hoarse to even her own ears as she shifted, tugging Linarite with her as she broke into a run, hoping to use the boys as a meat shield so that she and the captain could get around the a ways down the narrow street and out of sight of the cameras.

Unlike Lina, she wasn't laughing. Avery felt sick.

(( Edited slightly to make it more clear Leucite had grabbed her. ))

"I'm not listening to your lies today. Get out of the way." Green eyes flicked between the approached lieutenants. They reeked of danger, of false promises, of sick ideals.

Pandora could almost imagine their twisted grins at the idea of getting their filthy, dirty hands on their new toy. The rage made her eyes go so white that she almost missed something much worse.

"STOP!"

Pandora's eyes were red-hot on Linarite's grip of Avery's hands. Turning over in her chest, her heart made double time.

Two men.

Avery broke into a run. Pandora broke into one, too, body lurching against the snatching restraint of a Lieutenant.

"Green Eyed Monster!" she shouted out. Panting, but still with plenty of energy to spare, she threw all her strength towards the narrow split between the two lieutenants blocking her path. Let them try to stop her.

Pandora was going to get to Linarite if it killed her.

Green Eyed Monster
Boosted by feelings of Jealousy – Whether that jealousy is her own, or belongs to someone else. The feeling of boiling blood spreads faster and clothing no longer offers protection. When this power is engaged, contact with Pandora’s skin produces the feeling of boiling blood. Prolongued contact may cause the sensation of intense burning. Visual effects include brightened green eyes, and a green aura in her palm and fingertips. Due to the magical properties, and the fact that they fester on an emotional level, prolonged contact received does not show physical effects on the skin.
Duration: 15 seconds; Number of Uses per Battle: 3

Later, when reviewing the footage, someone with the proper aptitude might learn something about Pandora. She preferred the physical, eschewing her magic until it seemed she truly had a reason to use it, which Lina herself was surprised about. Now she turned to the magic? When it was almost all over?

It was oddly sensible.

It didn't take much for her steps to out pace Avery's, almost lifting the fuller-figured woman off of her feet as they started to get out of the reach of the cameras. Once out of the alley where her actions could not be used to incriminate. Linarite did something unwise.

She blew a light kiss to Pandora, grin wide and s**t-eating as it had ever been. The captain wanted to call encouragement to her lieutenants but they knew she had faith in them, hoped that they remembered the briefing and that she was not abandoning them.

Slipping an arm around Avery Hollister's shoulders the pair of women vanished as if they had never been there, teleported away using the dark Chaos power of the Negaverse that the captain possessed. Reaching the interior of the Negaverse, outside of the Rift where she was afraid to go when so tired, Lina immediately spread out on her stomach with a sigh.

One heartbeat, then two, before honey eyes looked at the booted feet of the blonde General-King in front of her. "I do hope," she drawled sleepily, "that you understand how utterly fantastic I am." In other words, their mission was successful and there was a pair of lieutenants that needed to be retrieved as soon as possible.

Count on Linarite to be so truly helpful!

Leucite remembered the briefing - he still didn't like the fact that they were being left without backup, but what could you do? Orders were orders - and he was told that under no circumstances was Linarite to be stopped.

So as Pandora tried to tried to break between them, Leucite did the only sensible thing in his mind.

Lunging at her, he attempted to tackle her to the ground, not caring what damage he might earn himself in pursuit of the mission. "COVER THE CAPTAIN!" Was all he shouted to Bischofite as he prayed to whatever deity out there that would listen that he was successful in taking this senshi down.

If he weren't on camera, he'd of played dirty and went for her hair. But no - he had to be noble. At least for now.

It took conscious effort to stifle Bischofite's caustic quips, and the first thought that came to mind was no s**t. He would've stood and watched with a bemused expression as the lieutenant tried to restrain an obviously superior fighter, but this was no occasion for normalcy. If this ordeal was to show the cruelty of the senshi, then they'd both need to engage the target, despite Bischofite's personal evaluations of the scene.

Kicking her in the face looked terrible. Punching her in the stomach looked terrible. Any assault made while in Leucite's grasp looked terrible. Bischofite only had one option, and that was to assist in the restraint, but given her green aura in her palms, he preferred to avoid all contact with her. However, that wasn't an option here; Leucite desperately needed his help, and the cameras were still rolling, so he had no choice but to resort to defensive measures.

Perhaps once enough footage was acquired, and Linarite escaped with that breathtaking woman, they'd resort to the violence so suited to them.

Despite his instincts yearning for him to steer clear of her, Bischofite moved to assist his comrade, and if he failed to tackle her to the ground, attempt to restrain the wild senshi.

Inwardly he recognized that they were in for some atrocious scars.

The grappling, dirty fingers latched into her fuku, Pandora squirmed, tugged, and drove her feet hard into the pavement. There was a harsh, ripping sound as the sleeve tore.

The Senshi broke free, the right side of her body smacking into Bischofite. The momentum was carrying her, forward, forward--

Nothing.

The world fizzled and fell flat. No. Pandora blinked, only half-aware of oily hands attempting to make purchase on her body. Avery did not reappear. Linarite did not reappear.

No. No. NO. NO.

All at once, the rank smelling, well-cut, lies of the leftover lieutenants became apparent.

"Where?!" her constricting voice cracked out as a strong arm swung around, headed for Bischofite's head. It was a rabid, clumsy blow and Pandora was already wheeling.

The body of Leucite coming into catch her up again was greeted with glowing, green hands. Calloused, bruising hands reached for his face and neck.

"Where'd you take her?" she screamed at him at an octave which would surely split ears. "Where. Is. She."

Leucite was going to have to take the hit of her hands on his face and neck if he was going to attempt to make the grab. He didn't like how they looked - he could only imagine what they were going to do to him when they touched his flesh.

His imagination could not at all compare to the real thing.

His entire world went white - he wasn't sure if he was screaming (he was, horribly, like a man being tortured in the worst was imaginable.) All he could see, hear, smell, taste and feel was pure - blood boiling pain in his face and neck where her hands had landed.

His own attack completely dissolved as his knees gave way and he landed roughly, kneeling in front of her like a poorly stacked rag doll. The only think keeping him upright were her hands on his face and neck.

If she was asking questions toward him - he was in no condition to hear it. All he could feel was his face and neck burning off.

He almost caught hold of her.

Almost.

She slipped out of his arms like water, tumultuous and raving. She lashed out at him afterward, and her arm cracked against his nose heavily. He stumbled backward with his hand cupped over his nose, unwilling to fully touch it. He winced and felt fingers caressing his mouth - blood. Through his wince, through his blistering glare at the senshi, he expressed his scorn.

Leucite became the new target of her fury, her ceaseless questions laced with scathing accusations.

Perhaps it was time to drop the act. Their captain escaped already.

Bischofite understood by the splitting sounds of the other lieutenant's screams that he had to act now. His partner in this bizarre scene might die from his inaction. This fiery senshi sought to cauterize her own wounds, her own anguish, and cremate the two with her ravenous flame. This was a certainty. This was as the sky was above, or the ground was below.

Since his weapons lacked any combative usefulness, he aimed a strong punch at the back of her head. MAybe if she'd just focus on Leucite a little longer...

With any luck they might daze her enough to escape. A gamble, but worth the effort.

Pandora's heartbeat went up with the downward fall of Leucite's knees. The scream was in her ears, but it was deafened by her own pulse. It was far away. The cogs in her mind stopped at the entrance to death and were simply unable to go through.

Thankfully for Leucite, Pandora's eyes suddenly grew an abnormal assemblage of dots. Her body heaved forward under the strike. She lost purchase on what she was doing with neck and face, and kicked upward with her knee instead.

Had they not been so close, the driving strike with her knee as she swiveled back on Bischofite would have almost certainly missed Leucite's face. As it was, only the scalded lieutenant would know.

Bischofite was almost right on nose. Snapped. Anguish. Ravenous.

"Green Eyed Monster," she repeated again as she felt the sensation in her body beginning to fade.

The light was beginning to return to her eyes, but Pandora didn't need it. She could feel clothing, know she was making some headway, even if that headway was only the pain of the Negaverse. Pandora had not a drop of remorse for them left.

They would either fall at her feet, or tell her where Avery was, and Pandora's assault would not stop before then.

Had they been Captain's, her sloppy fighting, though ferocious, would have easily rendered her harmless. She didn't seem to register she was caught between them. As it was, her brute force, sheer determination, and seeming blindness to pain was like a wrecking ball gone erratic.

Never in his entire life, had Leucite ever thought he'd be happy to be kneed in the nose. The blistering - blinding pain was fading now, replaced slowly by that dull throbbing, eye-tearing ache that came when you hit the bridge of your nose just right.

Oh now it was on... And Leucite was going to pull every single trick in his arsenal to survive. They were outclassed - he knew that was likely the case going in. He hadn't realized how outclassed they were.

He played up his injury a bit for the camera - not a lot but enough. He'd of croaked thanks to Bischofite if it weren't for the fact they were still locked in mortal combat with the super.

"Monster is right," he did manage to croak out finally - if only just loud enough for the senshi to hear. He'd of been louder but his throat still felt like it had been dragged across a pit of still smouldering embers.

It was time to put up or shut up. Slowly, and shakily rising back to his feet one hand going to wipe the blood away from his mouth and nose (he now realized she might have broken it - but it was hard to tell right this second.) He panted as best he could out of his mouth before looking to Bischofite and nodding his head slowly.

As soon as he nodded he leaped into the fray again, throwing a few combo jabs at her kidneys and following it up with a forward kick toward her back. They weren't as crisp or nearly as strong as they should have been. Leucite's pain and lack of ability of breathing through his nose was hampering him.

He was half a mind to call for a rout - but he was also the kind to make sure all his allies got away first. He'd hold nothing against Bischofite if the other man fled now in the face of such adversity.

Not that the other man knew that.

Suddenly, they felt the ominous strength of a General King's power signature. It was followed immediately by bright light filling the dead-end, painful, and while it would disorient all three, it's true purpose was to momentarily blind the cameras - they didn't need to see what would happen next.

"Enough," Her voice was eerily calm, as Howlite's gloved hands found the shoulders of the bruised lieutenants, grip firm - almost painful. She pulled them back toward herself.

Howlite's shielded head tilted at the sight of their enemy - a senshi she'd seen before. Whatever observations she made were kept to herself, and when Pandora engaged her, still spirited despite her injuries, the General-King responded with a near casual boot to the chest.

Then, they all disappeared, leaving Pandora to nurse her wounds and her rage.

[** Howlite's GK weapon are 3 types of bombs [concussive, flash, and bang], this one is a silent flashbang.]

As he felt the firm grip of the General-King haul him backward, Leucite almost swore - almost. He wanted to end this properly and show Howlite he had what it took to take down a senshi.

But her order had been clear - and so, when she pulled him to her side, he stood down, and braced himself for what he knew had to happen next.

He had never been teleported a long distance by anyone before - so he had no idea what it was going to be like.

But he did manage to restrain his urge to egg Pandora on more before they disappeared. He wasn't sure how long Howlite's flash bomb would keep the cameras down.

He was thankful when his view of the pissed off Pandora vanished - only to replaced with something else...

Bischofite hadn't expected her to wheel on him like that, still brimming with unabashed rage. She fought ferociously, a wild beast. Perhaps that would be the end of her someday.

But that day wasn't today.

His strike connected, yet it only contributed to her all-consuming choler. She still seethed, still charged with reckless abandon.

Their efforts only amounted to simple target-swapping; as soon as one attack connected, she simply whipped around to focus her fury on her latest assailant. She appeared impervious to pain, and even more so to reason. What possibly fueled all that anger? Was it their captain? The brunette?

Bischofite lacked the time to identify her fixation, and instead yielded to her ferocity.

Her flurry produced substantial pain, eating through his skin and charring his bones with her seemingly endless power. He couldn't manage a sound; white-hot agony temporarily paralyzed him, and only the other lieutenant's assault served to throw her off her rampage. Inwardly he was thankful for it, or he would be if he could think past the burning pain that coursed through his veins, centralized at every location she touched.

As his body sizzled from her assault, he managed a singular, strained groan. He wasn't sure they'd be able to escape.

Suddenly his eyes withstood the same assault as his body did, and a tight grip on his shoulder served to pull him through space to a far different location. Somewhere he'd never been before.

They left the roiling sea of jealousy behind.
PostPosted: Fri May 24, 2013 7:25 pm

A casual kick from a General King, when connected, was enough to throw a Super back, send her rolling away from the fray. Her fingers scraped at the ground as she skidded.

The lungs in her chest gasped for the air that had been removed from them.

No longer did she wear a white fuku, it had stained dirty creams and asphalted greys. The forward step she took onto her feet stumbled, and Pandora was left splayed over her own quaking legs, wondering why they were refusing to support her weight.

A small trickle of blood slid down her arm from the skid. The bruises would purple later, both physical and those that had punched her heart.

Grinding her teeth, Pandora forced those legs to work, reality setting in. The clench in her jaw kept back the sting of tears. It kept her focused.

She needed to power down. Get somewhere safe.

Then she could hunt down anyone and everyone who might know something about where they'd taken Avery.

Pandora hated having to take care of herself first, but she shuffled off anyway, riding the last of her adrenaline until she collapsed in a safe place to metaphorically lick her wounds.

After that, it was okay to cry.
