Dath did not fear the teeth of a mortal. Perhaps another god, but he knew he had more stamina to outlast him. He snapped his teeth back, but grinned instead of growled.
"Oh, I'll boast all the way. I can follow your soul to the gates, though I doubt the Goddess who lords over souls would be too pleased with my presence," he said, sneering out the last word. He hated gods like those, and avoided them as best he could. Still, he would deal with her if following this miserable soul to his inevitable end would be delicious.
With raised wings, he slid his body around to smash into the side of the smaller white lion, his wings flapping as he relinquished hold on the shoulder to better situate himself. He felt his body start lifting from the ground, and he knew it would be more efficient to slam the idiot if he gained altitude. The only problem was that Dath may break something too soon, and it would ruin his pleasure of confusing, and later torturing, his target.

Yareha's snarl became something of a hacking cough as the red male's weight forcefully slammed into his side, expelling the air from his lungs. Whatever was wrong with the red lion's head, that certainly hadn't diminished his skill. And Yareha, despite experience, was nowhere near as good. He was, after all, a Hunter, not a Warrior of any kind.
"You're just talking nonsense," he managed to gasp out while attempting to catch his breath. The white lion could feel his opponent's grasp loosening, and with a few wriggles he was able to back away, out of the red male's grasp.

"You'll see soon enough. Unless you want to pray for your 'Great Lion's' help once more. I see he's been helping you a lot lately," he sneered, using his wings to pull him up a bit more off the ground. He was about 5 feet off the ground, hovering just before the winded white lion.
It was hard work to keep himself that close to the ground. He let his wings fold up along his back, dropping him down onto the ground. He had planned to pin him onto the ground, but Dath had been too hasty in landing, and could only clip his opponent instead of fully pin him. The god growled at himself, and quickly maneuvered himself to make sure he didn't lose his prey.
"Anything else to say?" he growled, growing impatient of this game. Dath had a hard time handling his own emotions, between enjoying himself and growing tired of it at the same time.

The white lion bristled at the red lion's casual insults. "The Great Lion-"
His words choked off abruptly at the realization that those were wings and the red lion was flying (well, hovering) in the air above him. For long moments, Yareha could only gape in surprise at the impossible sight. He didn't even notice the blow that dropped his shoulder again as he stared at the...creature before him.
"The Great Lion helps those who help themselves," he whispered, anger washed away by the shock of what he'd just seen.

An opening. Well, well. Finally, somehow, he had broken. Dath hadn't bothered to fly before this (such an inconvenience at times), but somehow that is what broke this lion. What a joke. Usually the mirror illusion is what did the trick, but this lion had a tenacity he almost admired.
Almost.
Using the moment, he lifted another paw, placing it on his mane at the base of his throat, and pushed to pin him to the ground.
"Y'know, I think I changed my mind," he said with a hiss, his fur raised with irritation and excitement. "Now that you finally realize what I am, it might be more fun to torture you for a while. Give you a taste of what its like to be filled with Chaos for a few days. Sounds charming, no?"

Yareha struggled somewhat, but his heart wasn't in it as his mind was still overwhelmed by the realization that this was no ordinary lion. He still refused to regard this creature as a god, but admitted that the red male was...different from himself. Inexorably, the stranger pushed him to the ground with one large paw at his throat.
"What are you?" the white lion managed to ask, blue eyes still wide with surprise. It was fairly predictable that, like the other's references to his domain and godhood before, these new musings about torture and Chaos simply went right over Yareha's head.

"A God, regardless of what you consider your Great Lion," he replied flatly. "Something that your upbringing did not bother to warn you about. Some revere us, others fear us. I prefer the fear aspect, as it feeds me more power than respect, but I will take what I can get."
He shifted his weight again, to make sure that this lion was thoroughly pinned. He didn't seem to be fighting back, not while the shock still rocked his body. Good. Transferring power to another was work, and Dath did not want this moron to realize that he would be weaker than he was now, even if he could confidently overpower him. Afterwards, he may be at a more equal power.
"I will give you a taste of my power. Influence your soul to twist my way for a few days," he said hungrily, feeling the power seep through his body and towards the paw on the white lion's chest. "For three days, you will feel an urge for Chaos, to disrupt the lives of those you come across. Your own soul will decide how chaotic you will feel once you cross paths, but I assure you, you won't forget it."
A small flicker of power hovered around his paw, but as soon as the words were spoken, they sunk into the lion's chest.

He couldn't be a god, he just couldn't. He was just some sort of aberration. With...wings. There could be lions with wings somewhere far away, right? It made no sense whatsoever, but Yareha would rather cling to that near-impossibility than admit to himself that this stranger was telling the truth, that he was a god. That there were other gods than the Great Lion. The white lion had understood for some time now that not everyone worshipped the Great Lion, and that was fine with him as long as they didn't try to convince him his ways were wrong.
But to have this flesh and blood creature stand atop him and claim to be a god...that was different.
It was actually somewhat terrifying. Especially as the red male informed Yareha of what he planned to do to the white lion. There was a small bit of light around the big black paw that seemed to be drawn down into the white fur beneath. Yareha's fur.
Blue eyes wide, he could only stare for a minute. Then he began to laugh hysterically.
What was more Chaos in his life when he was just trying to reconcile what he'd seen with what he believed?

Dath wasn't sure where the laughter came from, but he didn't show it on his face. In the end, it wasn't a big deal. Clearly he had broken him more than he had thought, and he was quite alright with that. Perhaps he'd hunt him down again later and finish the job; he had done it before. He was definitely willing to do it again.
Dath stepped off of the male, content. He could find someone else to kill later. Right now...he was a little tired, and desired the taste of meat. Some sort of antelope would do for now. He glanced down at the white lion again, his eyes still sparkling with excitement. He should use this power more, if it meant screwing over other's lives for a few days.

It took many long minutes, but eventually Yareha's laughter ran out, devolving into exhausted tears. He didn't know what to believe anymore. He was certain that the Great Lion must have meant for all this to happen...and yet the red lion had mentioned something about his deity not existing? The white lion couldn't remember exactly, having paid little attention to the stranger's words. But he couldn't deny the evidence of his own eyes, the massive black wings, the horn, the strange light that had moved from the other's paw into his body...
...and he could feel...something...inside of him. It was almost as if all his emotions, all his desires, were running wild within him. The thought made the laughter begin to bubble up again, but Yareha clamped down on it fiercely. He would not be controlled by this...this maniac!
Instead of a feeling of determination and satisfaction, the thought instead brought on a wave of anger, the likes of which he'd only felt once or twice before in his life, such as when he'd attacked Mazin...
...what in the world had the stranger done to him!?

He watched him carefully. It seemed like he was doing alright at the moment. Bottling up the new rush of emotions, trying to understand what had happened. Hah! This would give him quite a shock, and Dath was feeling quite pleased with himself. He could almost preen with the fantastic job he had given this mortal. Now, if he had anyone around him that he cared about still, he'd drive them away all by himself. Afterwards, he'd be completely alone. Then, perhaps, Dath would return to soothe his sorrows into a delicious death. Yessss.
"Have fun," he said mockingly before flaring his wings out again. Flying away would probably reinforce the mental power he had over the lion at this short point in time, and he was going to use it. He launched himself up in the air, so content with himself that he'd probably go hunting right now. The thrill and adrenaline was still ringing in his ears, after all.

So distracted with the strangeness, Yareha almost missed the red lion's mocking words. But, catch them he did, and the white lion roared in fury at the retreating male. His claws were unsheathed and he was digging long furrows into the ground since he couldn't get his paws on the winged lion.
He snarled again and chased afterwards, groundbound though he was. No matter how fast he ran or how hard he pushed himself, the flying lunatic was quickly becoming a mere speck in the sky. Infuriated, frustrated, and utterly incapable of thinking rationally, Yareha roared again.
It was going to be a long three days.
