But ‘Acbar’ did have one thing right, now that Pompeii knew what to look for, she was able to find countless news articles, websites, and snippets of new reports that cataloged all the odd things going on in the city but since the civilians had no idea what it was Pompeii didn’t know what the truth was behind them. She was nearly as much in the dark about the past happenings as the normal members of the city.

When somewhere close by a car alarm started to wail into the fog filled night Pompeii took a few more hesitant steps away. “You might be right. Then again you might be wrong. It’s late and if we stand around too much longer we will attract unwanted attention.” Now this was likely an out and out lie but it gave Pompeii a legitimate reason to retire from this discussion to think it over a bit more in depth. To come to her own conclusions and not be swayed by someone who is more likely than not a Nega agent. With that thought in mind she drifted farther away until the fog nearly swallowed her up. “You have given me much to think about so it’s time to go. Until next time ‘Acbar’” And then she was gone the fog swirling behind her mirroring her swirling thoughts. Could everything she had been taught been wrong?
