Catrina rose her brows up and pursed her lips as she watched her kitten just.. strip right there. It wasn't that she hated the indecency or anything – oh, no, she couldn't care less! Nudity didn't faze Catrina at all. After all, everything was basically nude as far as she was concerned with only people and silly hermit crabs trying to cover anything up! Nope, it was all the scars – trophies! – on him that had her flicking an imaginary tail excitedly. “Maau.” She circled him curiously, eying every scar and attempting to guess just what manner of creature would cause such damage – oh, not all were that fantastic, but, some of them, they really had to have come from some large kill!

She grinned widely, baring all her teeth as she came around for the third time, ending in front of him, “I see a hunter, kitten. Nyah,” She shook her head and wagged a finger at herself, “tom! A real ally cat.” She chortled a meow and pocketed the cash before continuing on, “The hunter has met a huntress, mjau, and the fellow feline demands a challenge!” Her eye twinkled as she narrowed them, “Fishing is my game, merow! Crabs, shark, squid, mjau~! The tastiest here are spiked on my claws, but if the hunter thinks he can best me~ Mrrrr?” Of course he would accept the game! He had to! She was mocking his pride and it would just be so fun to play with a skilled cat! Mei simply wasn't that great of a hunter..

Razer's eye brows raised as he was offered a challenge. He was mainly a land hunter using a combination of stealth, timing and quick tools to do his job. He only fished to pass the time. Hunting water game was something he never attempted to do, because the forests only held small bass. A light twinkled in his eyes as he smiled. "Sure, I've never hunted shark before, but if their as tough as the bears I faced, then this would be a decent challenge.." The only marks on him he hadn't gained from hunting or fighting was the burn on his back. That was there for as long as he could remember.

Oh, it'll be more than decent! Catrina grinned wildly as she noted the mirrored look in his eye and didn't hesitate to take off out of the store with a cry, trusting he would follow after accepting the challenge. Where else would they hunt in a store, anyway? A fishtank? Yeah, right! That was only what Catrina did with Mei on Tuesdays to try to get some instinct back in her! That wasn't what two fully-awakened cats would do! No, the big, wide, blue ocean was the only option and the feline had stopped her paws right there before turning to see if the boy could keep up with her. She was pretty fast, after all! Years of experience out in the woods had made her an excellent runner~! She may have failed out of high-school, but Catrina still excelled at something!

Before she could openly acknowledge how well he had kept up with her sprint, she turned her gaze back onto the rolling waves to see if she could spot anything out in the water. None of the cliché fin poking through the surface could be witnessed, but she knew there had to be something worthwhile in there. If not because Nirvani Island was a treacherous place full of about every predator imaginable, but because she really, really wanted to try to wrestle a shark that day. Just to show off a little~

Razer didn't chase after the woman right when she left. He mentally prepared himself for the hunt, and solely relied on his highest skill when it came to hunting; Stealth. After he prepared to walk forward, he glanced at the woman as she looked out to the sea.

His smirk grew as his feet moved quietly over the sand, nearly no sound resonated from his feet. He walked at normal pace, not wasting stamina to dash at her, and knew running would alert her to his presence. He wanted to remain unheard, until he knew he could startle her.

When he reached behind the cat girl, observing the sea, he tapped her shoulder lightly, making his presence known. So far, he had been tested on his speed, and showed stealth as his stronger ability...for now. He thought she was staring at the beauty, it was a breath taking view, but only when the time was right.

January had only been reclining in her beach chair for a short while when she began to feel that unpleasantly ticklish sensation of boredom kicking in. There really wasn't much to do here, was there? She didn't dare remove her sarongs to go swimming, and she didn't want to play volleyball or build sandcastle with the unwashed masses either. Lilia wasn't there, which is a good thing in most respects, but at the same time, it meant she couldn't order a servant to try to slip a piece of seaweed into her cousin's swimsuit. She was bored, so without really thinking about it she had begun to fuss over her bikini top, shifting it around in one last attempt to create impressive cleavage. Damn her father for marrying such a flat-chested woman! Her life would be so much better if he had married a big-boobed whore like Lilia's mother.

She had just given up and covered herself up with one of her sarongs once more when someone spoke. January glanced up to see Icis smiling down at her, but she still glanced around to see if there were another blonde person this peasant was addressing so rudely. But there wasn't, so she settled back into her reclined seat and scowled up at the brunette above her. "Excuse me?" she finally deigned to respond, much too overcome by disgust to really process this situation. "I... you... uh," she kept opening her mouth but no words came out, she was much too offended by this girl's complete lack of respect. "That's not how you address royalty" she finally snapped as her shock gave way to a burst of anger.

River's shoulders fell slightly in disappointment. Yeah, it was a little silly for a woman her age to get so excited over things like stealing the ball from her teenaged son, but when did River Park ever resist silliness? "Oh... Okay..." she inhaled deeply as she switched gears. She had nothing to be excited over anymore, so until she found something new -- OH NEVER MIND. "Oh! I have an idea! Elliot, let us bury you in the sand!" she cried, her face lighting up again. Elliot opened her mouth, maybe to protest, maybe to agree, but the world would know, because River wasted no time in trying to wrestle her to the ground. The redhead kicked feebly a few times, but like most things, Elliot just didn't understand the value of resisting.

Yuri had turned pale, which was sort of impressive considering how she spent most of her time inside, sprawled on the couch, with her comforter piled up on top of her face, and that wasn't a particularly great tanning strategy. But there she was, shining as white as a deer's a**, completely overwhelmed by her own thoughts. "R-Right," she nodded as Junior stood up. Even though he looked totally unsure about this, it did make her feel better, him telling her what to do. Slowly, she rose to her feet, tying her towel around her waist. (She couldn't approach a teenage girl with her thighs showing.) "You're right! We should go over there. You're a good friend, Junior." She patted him awkwardly on the arm, as, with every freak out of hers, she realized how crazy she was being, and she really didn't like being crazy.

She glanced over in Erika's direction one more time and took a deep breath, but she still didn't have enough courage to move her legs. "We can do this Junior, don't look so scared," she said with a breathy 'haha'. After another half a moment of hesitating, she pulled Junior into a brief hug, attempting to pull his arm around her waist but giving up and letting go. The physical contact made her feel a little braver, so she took Junior's hand and pulled him along after her as she beelined for Erika.

"...Hi Erika," Yuri smiled apprehensively at the blonde teenager as they approached. "Long time no see! I didn't know you'd be here today. ...Is it just you and the kids?" Was that casual enough? Oh no, what if she was too obvious? She gave Junior's hand one last hard squeeze before letting go and dropping down into a squat. "Hi kids! You both look so cute!" She wouldn't cry in public, she wasn't that pathetic!

Usagi's face turned red at Kade's reply, she knew she shouldn't have come to the beach! "Ah!" was all the woman could manage to squeak out in reply. Was her awkwardness really that apparent? Maybe she should just take advantage of her sister's absence and leave while she wasn't around. No, she couldn't do that, not while Kade was still here. She looked to the man, he didn't seem to mean any harm by the comment, and as embarrassed as she felt she couldn't help but to forgive him. After all, everything he said was the truth. The bathing suit really wasn't her and well, she was uncomfortable in it.

"Yeah, shopping!" she agreed, suddenly smiling. "Mitsukai tried to get me to go, but I just didn't have time," she told the man. Okay, so that was only partially truth, but Kade didn't need to know that! Shopping had been a lot less than fun lately, and the woman tried to avoid it as much as she could, despite her sister's pestering. It was true that she was busy though, the flower shop was open almost all week, and it took up a lot of her time. Running a shop was a lot of work, especially when she didn't have much help. When she did have time off she preferred to spend it cooped up in the house, alone. Occasionally she'd spend time with friends with friends, like Rory. But really, she didn't like to go out too much.

------------------------

Well so much for that conversation. No matter though, because Mitsukai was quickly distracted with the idea of volleyball! Why not? She decided as she headed towards the group (Mimi, Jeremy, and Talon) that called her out. In all honesty hanging out with a bunch of teenagers wasn't exactly her idea of fun but it wasn't like she had anything better to do at the moment. And besides, volleyball was fun! "Hey," she greeted the group with a smile. "I'm up for a game!"

Including her, it looked like there was now a group of four. They'd need more members if they wanted to play, two on each team certainly wouldn't be enough for a good, fun game! "Looks like we need more people" she announced. She looked around the beach, but she didn't bother to single anyone out. She'd leave scouting to the rest of the group. She just hoped that those on her team would know how to play. She didn't want to be the only good player! Of course, it had been a while since she'd played so she couldn't be too confident in her abilities. Still, volleyball had always been one of her better sports.

Leaning slightly forward towards the water, eyes trained on the waves to try to pick up on some clue on the best spot to grab up those delicious fish, Catrina was none the wiser on Razer's approach. She had her entire mind on trying to get the upper-hand through the game that her guard was down just a moment – a moment long enough for the boy to have tapped her shoulder and send her jumping high in the air with an altogether too human-like yelp. She smacked a hand over her mouth with a start and narrowed her eyes – oh, he was in for it! She turned around and huffed irritatedly at the boy, “Mrr.” She stopped herself from hissing outright, but her grumpiness showed through regardless of the attempt. The woman forced her attention elsewhere; like, the wonderful game they were about to play!

Her grin returned smoothly and she motioned off into the sea, “Catch the fish; whichever feline catches the longest fish, miyav, wins.” She waited a split second, before turning and darting straight to the pier, knowing it was the best place to catch fish. He could try wherever he wanted, but Catrina knew this area like the back of her hand~! There was no way he could beat her! She was just ducking under the shadow of the pier and perching herself at the edge of the water, ready to pounce and take down the first sad creature to get a little too close~

~~~
Oh, of course Mitsukai would! Kade was a bit too old to really chat with her, but she always seemed like such a fun girl who really knew her priorities. Usagi, on the other hand, made need some help~! “Nonsense, hon! There's always time to better yourself! Don't you have someone to take over?” Did she or was she running that shop all on her own? Hm.. He tapped a finger to his chin as he pondered a solution before jutting it up and smiling at the girl. “Oh! I'm sure Jacob wouldn't mind helping us out! I mean, he doesn't have a real job or anything. Junior might even help..” But he did hate to ask him to do stuff like that. Junior always said yes no matter what he asked; at least Jacob would protest! “Okay! Tomorrow, we'll go shopping together and, oh, we can even do our nails and I can spruce up your hair a bit! Have you ever thought about curls?
~~~

Raise all panic levels to red; River was upset with her. Zhi felt her heart plummet as she watched those shoulders sag and had jumped to her feet to try to kiss or hug or beg that feeling in the other to go away – but, River had already moved before she got her chance! She felt the disappointment transfer to her, but she couldn't let it weigh her down! Zhi needed to get her love back in high spirits and, if burying Elliot was the best way to do that, then she was going to do that! “Yes! Let us!” She agreed as she proceeded to help River push Elliot down without warning. The girl would understand, after all; this was an important matter and Elliot would probably like being buried anyway!

Hey, stop – oh.” She lowered her arms from guarding her face at Elliot's admittedly weak kicks; she had stopped. “..Thank you very much.” See! Elliot did like this! Now, to start burying her and.. oh, maybe make her into a mermaid? She did have the red hair for a good Ariel~! “Hm.. We need seashells, seaweed, and.. oh, a crab! River, we can make a whole sculpture! Won't that be fun?

Razer smiled as he watched the challanger dash to the peir. It seems she was going to act like a fisherman, waiting for her prey. With a simple smile, the hunter unseathed his hunting knife from behind him as his eyes grew dull. He ran into the water, eventually deiving in and swimming farther and farther out into the sea, far beyond the peir. If the game was to catch the longest fish, they would probably be farther out. Razer knew nothing about hunting in water, so he just attempted to applie woodland hunting with aquatic hunting.

Her lips hooked up into a smirk as her trained eyes lost interest in the water long enough to glance towards where the feline was wading off to. Deep into the waters – it was daring and admirably brave, but Catrina had already won this regardless of how far out he decided to go. She already felt a purr coming on at the definite victory, but she couldn't get too caught up in the excitement of victory just yet! She had to actually win first! She snapped her head back towards the water and trained her sight further down, out twenty or so feet under the pier where a stack of jagged rocks poked out from the water. She rolled her shoulders and took a steadying breath before dipping her bare feet into the water, shivering instantly. Ugh, she hated this stupid, cold, uncomfortable stuff! She loved the taste of the fish enough to bear with it, though, and forced herself further into the water, all the way to the rocks! She was up to her waist and her shorts were drenched, but she would just have to have Mei towel her off later.

Feeling around the rocks, she let out a soft cry of excitement as she found the perfect crevice and jammed her hand within it, yanking it back out with a slithery, irate eel. She grinned widely with excitement as she held it out and carefully dragged the wriggling catch up to shore. She dropped it on the sand and backed up a step, sitting on her haunches and waiting proudly for the boy to come in with his catch. Eels weren't her favorite seafood, but it was the longest and it fetched a great price on the market~ Plus, it had to win her this one!

Kasie was not being a creep. Definitely not! She even had a plan and everything to make sure that the police weren't called out on her. After all, she was just taking a jog along the beach. People did that. She was pretty sure at least. Well, people in the movies did, so it had to count. She also brought tissues with her in case she got a nosebleed, and if anyone asked, she could say it was because of the heat. No one would ever find out that she was sneaking glances and checking out the guys. Of course, she kept her attention on the NPC boys just a little longer than most since they would never notice., but it was all good. No one would ever find out.... even if she had to jog back and forth along the beach.... several times. Nope. Not at all.

If only she had someone to take over, that would make things oh so much easier. Sure there were the few NPC workers but there's no way they were qualified for that! They could hardly manage the register, let alone being in charge for the day! "No, I don't," she admitted to Kade. Sure she could maybe ask Mitsukai to watch over the shop, but the younger girl had her own job to attend to, and even if she wasn't working she probably had something else to do.

Oh but Kade just said Jacob could do it! Wasn't that nice! Then again, it meant she really didn't have a way or an excuse to get out of this shopping trip. Darn. Looks like she'd have to make the best of it. It could be fun to finally get out, right? And doing nails was fun, she used to do it all the time when she younger. Fun, bright colors! "Okay!" Usagi finally agreed. While she didn't always like to go out and did feel a bit reluctant about it Kade just made it sound so fun! "I haven't curled my hair in years" she told the man with a laugh. Wow. This was actually somewhat exciting.

------------------------

"Hey you!" Elizabeth called out to a girl (Kasie) she noticed running across the beach. "You're gonna get gross and sweaty if you do that!" she informed her. How could anyone in their right minds subject themselves to such a thing. And who went jogging up and down the beach anyway? She certainly wouldn't, and that was all that counted, right? What was the fun in jogging? Laying out was so much better than that! And it made it ever so much easier for the population of Nirvani to admire her beauty, something that really mattered. Then again, maybe this girl didn't have anyone to admire her. Oh what a sad fate! Elizabeth couldn't imagine what that would be like! Still though, was that really a possibility? The girl looked pretty cute, not as cute as her of course, but still cute! Could she not realize this? Elizabeth couldn't decide which was worse! Having no admirers at all or having admirers but not realizing her true greatness? Both seemed like pretty awful predicaments. Good thing she had such excellent priorities!

After having Maddy do most of the hard work, putting the umbrella up, setting chairs and towels up, and getting the toys out for the twins, Erika sat at the edge of one of their beach chairs and handed a tiny shovel to both of June's kids. With sunscreen applied, and water at hand, it was time to have fun! The toddlers sat and pushed the sand around while sitting in front of the blonde woman. This went on peacefully for awhile as Maddy strolled around the area humming and Erika read a teen-y book while keeping an eye on the kids. It was very relaxing. So much so that Erika almost dozed off. She probably would have too, except that she heard herself being called. She raised her blue eyes to see a Yuri standing sheepishly in front of the group. Erika honestly never had much interaction with June's ex-wife, but she did have the opinion of her being sort of the rebellious type. Other than that though, Erika really didn't have to much of an opinion. A smile moved across her face as she welcomed the woman, "Hey there!" May and Jeffery looked at their mother, showing off their toys with smalls 'ahs'. Erika let Yuri's attention focus on the kids a bit before she began to speak again. "June is working on a project, so I thought I'd bring the kids here to get them out of his hair for the day," She explained putting down her book, "I hope that is okay with you." Erika would probably ask if she had Yuri's number.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Icis's grin would have appeared right about now. A devilish grin that showed the fun of a hunter with its prey. But, she had learned to control herself with her age. She couldn't go around acting like a demon on a daily basis. Or at least, that is what that shrink told her awhile back. She never really like that guy, yet that part of his rants stuck with her. So instead, Icis continued with her playful smile. "I know, right?" She hummed taking a few steps to the side of January's chair. The brunette sat down on the arm of the chair and placed her hand on the Sonata's shoulder gently. She remembered vaguely about them not liking to be touched by 'commoners', "To sit their and stutter in my presence, your pretty bold Blondie." Icis felt like a fifties mobster. If she was in a team, she'd feel like she'd be the muscle. The bruiser. "But, I'll let 'ya go, 'cause you seem like the type who could appreciate a good time," Icis spoke with a friendly tone and a small smile. Even if they didn't think they were, Sonata's were human. They were crazy, irrational, and probably got bored just like everyone else, "We should have some fun."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like... Talon got off the hook for the merman think. That was a good thing. Not finding out what Mimi was knew about Atlantis was a bad thing. But, not being known as a fibber was definitely a good thing. He gave an encouraging nod to the other red headed male who interrupted them. Volleyball huh? That was a classic beach activity. A normal beach activity. One you would do with friends from school! Real school! Talon felt a surge of excitement run through him as he raised his hand energetically. He turned to Mitsukai and then to Jeremy, and then to Mimi, and then back to Jeremy, then to Mimi again, then to Mitsukai, then to the ocean, and then back to the group as a whole. There weren't many of them. And finding more people would be... Entertaining. Talon turned to Mitsukai with a large smile, "I guess that makes us a team." He then put his finger to his lip and pondered for a second. His eyes wandered the beach for a bit until a certain someone caught his eye and gave him an idea. He held up his index finger to his new teammate in a gesture to give him a moment as he ran from one end of the beach and back. On his way back he had with him a new addition. A confused and whining Maddy was dragged along by the rambunctious red head as he made his way back to the group and faced Mimi, lining his new team up on both of his sides, "Team Atlantis!"

It wasn't queenly to lose one's cool, but January somehow didn't care about that anymore. She was much too overwhelmed, overwhelmed with anger, disgust, and even a bit of fear. No, scratch that, a lot of fear. January drew her legs up onto the chair as Icis got closer and approached the chair, and practically leaped out of her skin when the older woman touched her shoulder. Maybe it was because the sun was so hot on her skin, but Icis' hand felt icy cold and sinister. "D-don't touch me, peasant!" January cried, her voice going shrill in her anxiety as she tried to wrench her arm away from the brunette's touch. January was tall yet skinny, so she scooted as far against the opposite arm rest as she could, pulling her knees to her chest in case she had to kick. "Back, back!" she cried, hissing like a cat a few times. "Go away! I'll have my servants toss you in the water!" She raised her trembling hand and began to snap her fingers, but it was met with silence. That's RIGHT, she sent all the servants away. Now she felt completely unprotected, and so, in her increasing fear, she swept up a bottle of spray-on sunscreen from the table next to her and pointed it at Icis. "Don't come any closer!"

---

River grinned wildly at Zhi as her wife suggested making a sculpture. She might have even been happy enough to kiss her, if she were the type of person who did that sort of thing. No, for River, a smile would suffice, though she didn't really understand the seashell/seaweed thing. "Yes! A sculpture! Great idea!" she said as she began piling sand onto Elliot's now-limp feet. "Something cool! Like a robot or a Kraken or a space ship! What do you want to be, Elliot?"

Elliot didn't reply, she had rolled over onto her stomach in the semi-struggle and just stared down at the sand. "As long as I can breathe..." she said finally, but trailed off before she could finish the statement. River took this as a "your choice" so she looked at Zhi expectantly. "Zhi what would you like? A squid? A T-Rex?" She had never made a sand sculpture before, but it couldn't be too hard to turn Elliot into a T-Rex, right?

Kasie came to a halt as soon as she heard a voice calling out to her. At least, she hoped it was directed towards her. If not, it'd be really embarrassing for her to answer. It was like those moments when you thought someone was waving to you, but it was actually towards someone else. However, it'd be super mean if she ignored it, and it was indeed meant to be for her. She glanced around, spotting that it was a rather short brunette girl (Elizabeth) that was talking. Thankfully, it seemed like it was aimed at her. She really hoped at least.

"Oh! It's perfectly fine. I like running, and it makes for a really good excuse to watch boys without looking too suspicious." Kasie blurted out without a thought, rather pleased with the chance to start a conversation. Talking was definitely fun! Even more fun than watching eye candy. Maybe. It was up there though in her favorite list of activities to do. Wait, did she just really admit to being a stalker. Kasie immediately backtracked. "I mean, like, erm, I'm kind of just training for the track team! Yeah! That's it! Definitely no stalking right here. Nope! Not at all. Aaaaanyway, the sweaty thing is worth the run since there's that old saying 'no pain, 'no gain' and stuff. Plus, you know, erm, I have to work really hard to stay fit. I tend to gain weight pretty easily, and at times, I really wish the weight would be added to my chest instead. But, hey, you can't have everything right? Well, you have such a petite figure already, and you look really pretty too, so I guess you can have all of that going for you."

Kasie took this moment to finally take a breather before shooting the girl a sheepish grin. "I'm talking a bit too much here, so feel free to tell me to shut up whenever or just tell me to scram, and I'll be out of your hair."

.:l Beep l:.

Morgan really wasn't comfortable. It was much too hot for him, and even if he practically caked himself with sunscreen and was hiding underneath an umbrella, he was probably still going to have a sunburn that was going to kill him the next day. Plus, he wasn't exactly comfortable with exposing himself to the world, so a t-shirt and swim trunks were good. However, he wasn't all that confident in his appearance. Still, he'd live. This was supposed to be a fun day where he could get to know people in this new town. At the same time, he really needed to cram for classes. Sure, it was summer and all, but still, there was always room for improvement. He didn't want to look like a nerd though! Urk. So much conflict, but there was a simple solution to it all. All he had to do was whip out a textbook and then use a sports magazine to cover it. Problem solved! He was free to lay sprawled out on his towel, and he could study without judgement.

Ergh, this waiting for him to finish his hunt was getting so dull! Catrina flicked her soaked cloth tail, refusing to wring it out because that would hurt if it were a real tail and she was too far in the delusion to shift gears now. She cocked her head at the water, willing him to return, but he hadn't yet! Maybe he had gotten eaten by a shark? Or a giant squid could have taken him down? Or Catrina was just too impatient to wait for longer than three minutes? Whatever it was, she had her attention easily drawn elsewhere, to where the hissing and spitting of a pompous feline could be heard. Catrina rose her brows in curiosity, having never pegged the Sonatas to have a cat, but it seemed as if the feline instinct was strong within the youngest female!

She glanced at the now-dead eel and considered leaving it behind, but she was certain one of those ratty seagulls would try for it or that boy may steal it for an easy meal. She picked it up with one paw and trotted further up the beach, sitting down a few feet from where the disagreement was located. January seemed to be weak compared to Icis, but she was showing more of a fight than the green-eyed beauty. Hrm~ Catrina dropped her catch and went to watching rather than intervene – new cats was exciting, yes! But a cat fight? All sides of Catrina's brain were into that. She would simply enjoy the show and trust Razer the ally cat would find her~

~~~
The girl grinned widely as she watched the woman approach – ah, she looked a bit older than Mimi had thought closer up, but, whatever! The girl seemed like someone she would definitely like, especially with how she smiled! Mimi loved smiling more than anything and it only made her so much more excited to know that they were probably excited too! She was almost jittery with the anticipation as the newcomer pointed out they were short on people to play a proper game of volleyball. She was correct! The more people, the better! If Mimi could do it, she would ask the whole crowd to come and join them, but she knew that just wouldn't work! Besides, she only had one ball and oh so much room! She turned her head around wildly to try to find a team-member, picking one out if only because he was reading all by himself, which was just so boring! He definitely needed to play!
She looked at Jeremy, “I have our team-mate! Don't worry, Jeremy, we're going to win! Have I ever let you down?! NOPE!” Probably, but it wasn't like she remembered any of those times. She darted off to where the blonde boy (Morgan) sat and immediately leaned down to grab his arm, tugging at it as she spoke a mile a minute, “HI! HELLO! I'm Mimi Murrow and that over there is my friend Jeremy, Lady, and Merman – except Merman isn't really my friend since he's probably going to try to destroy the island, but he's going to be my friend for the next hour while we play a game of volleyball – WHICH you are going to play with us because I really, really need a team member or else I'm going to lose and it will be your fault and I'll be so sad! But I'll be really happy if you just stood up and played with us! Okay? Okay! I'm happy you're on my team!
Yay! She agreed! Kade smiled brightly at her as she seemed to genuinely feel excited – or maybe that was his own excitement being projected onto her! He couldn't really tell, but he knew it was going to be fun whoever was feeling it! Kade hadn't been able to get out in so long and he was just plain happy to maybe find another friend after being holed up in his home for so long. His rabbits were great and he loved his family, but he could feel a bit of himself slowly wither away the more he spent caged up.
Great! I know you would look so cute with curls, Usagi – I have an eye for these things. After all, I do own the salon and it would just be so silly if I didn't! I would be run out of business years ago!” He giggled before his expression shifted to a frown, “Oh, but.. I don't have a nail artist anymore! I lost Tatyana, though it was totally justified,” No one got in the way of Kade and fashion. Nobody. “I still regret that. I hope you don't mind relying on me? We can do eachother! Have you ever tried painting nails? It's pretty easy and there's – oh, my.” He raised his brows and twisted his head about as he sensed.. something. Some sort of gossip was floating about the beach – some juicy gossip – and he just had to figure it out! He pursed his lips slightly, but he couldn't pinpoint the feeling! How frustrating! “Do you feel some kind of.. tension, buttercup?
Ah.. She felt better. Junior felt his lips tug up into an unpracticed smile as that registered, one that grew as she went on to call him a good friend. He felt his chest clench in an odd feeling he wasn't sure how to describe, but he liked to think it was happiness, because he was a great friend to her and that was the best thing he could ever hope for. He stood up with her with no complaints, nodding softly at the decision to approach the kids and happily following along with whatever Yuri did. He wasn't going to stand back, even if he somewhat felt this wasn't something he should butt himself into, because it was painfully obvious even to Junior that Yuri needed him to stand beside her. Even if he doubted he could help her if things got messy; the most he could do would be to run to his father, even at his age.
His smile started to falter at that, but then something wonderful happened – she hugged him. It was brief and he was stiff and he really, really didn't know what to do because only his family did that, but it was really good too. Just when he felt he was starting to get the nerve to hug her back, she pulled away and he felt somewhere between relief and disappointment. He must have been as red as could be at that point, but he made a good attempt to hide his face with his bangs by tilting his head down the entire walk there. He hardly noticed the short walk in that state and was honestly surprised when he looked up to see Erika and the kids there. He pulled his hand away from Yuri as she let go, suddenly realizing that someone could see and.. and he wasn't sure what that could mean, but it probably would be terrible for Yuri.
..A-ah..” He wanted to try to participate in the conversation, but all he could do was about as much as the twins could. So, he shot an apologetic look to Yuri's and Erika's feet before kneeling to join the twins in conversation. He lowered his voice as he watched them show off their shovels, “...Hi, May, Jeffrey.
