Garland was beginning to resemble a drowned chipmunk or something, but he didn't really care. This was awesome. She was touching his arm, touching, with real hands and without any outward grimace or anything! In fact, it felt entirely consensual! It was as if there was no rain at all, and he felt as hot as if it were a sunny summer day. She must have been cold, wearing so little and drenched from head to toe, but Garland wasn't really paying much attention to Angela, to be perfectly honest. He was much too distracted by how totally and freakishly awesome this was.
He was only vaguely listening to what she was saying. The words were entering his ears but not really sticking to anything, so although he heard her talk about remembering him, and giving him her number, he was too busy giving himself mental high-fives and low-fives and high-tens to really process what she was saying. Until she asked where he lived. "Wuh?" he snapped out of his blissful daze to gawk down at her. "My house? Like... where I live?" Once again, he glanced around in search of a camera crew. He was being pranked, right? A pretty girl had plastered herself to his arm and was asking to go to his place? All of a sudden, his throat had gone dry, which was sort of impressive considering how wet everything was at that moment. "Y-yeah, it's not far..." The apartment building was down by the beach, but it was closer to the town square than some! Not that it mattered. He'd walk across the island and back for a pretty girl, a quick traipse down to the beach was nothing, nothing at all! "I have towels... Yeah, totally, you should come over... if you want," he added, still so shocked by her question that he was afraid of offending her and making her change her mind.

"Yes, the house where you live," Angela said, half amused by Garland's expression and "And towels are good. I love your towels--you should absolutely show them to me." She started sort of half pulling him away from where they were standing, thought she didn't actually know the direction of his house. But he was kind of just standing there looking at her and she really, really wanted to get out of the rain and into a dry place with towels. And maybe a hot drink. She wondered if she could wheedle him out of a shirt until her own was less sopping. She wasn't an expert on this sort of thing by a long shot (her interactions with the opposite sex to date, usually involved her beating them up or threatening them in various ways) but based on his expression, she didn't think that would be too big a problem. He seemed rather eager to please. "I'm really sorry to trouble you. But I live a bit further down on the beach and all but thanks for letting me crash at your flat for a while. I owe you out--maybe I can shout you a drink sometime to pay you back..."

xxxxxxxx Well, the last time she'd been at the town square had been during that disturbing storm that had nearly drowned her. But it was rather nice when it wasn't in the middle of a deluge. Angela was currently sitting on a little stone bench under a street light with a little travel tin of watercolors balanced on her leg, and two small tin containers of water next to her. She was doing a few watercolor sketches of the square with all its holiday decorations and such, while there was still enough light do it. There wasn't much else to do since no one was here yet, and she was kind of regretting not calling someone to meet up. Not that she had a lot of options but there was Alfred, or Garland...or...Xochiquetzal, the crazy lady who thought Angela was a cloud. Okay, that last one probably wasn't an option. Then again, she was better than Angela's supposed best friend before she moved to Nirvani--a crazy cat obsessed lady who ended up arrested for murder because she fancied herself some kind of assassin. Angela was kind of hoping she could actually make some normal friends in Nirvani. It hadn't happened yet, but here was hoping. At any rate, she didn't mind it all that much that she was alone. AFter all, her father had gone off to the bar for drinks, which meant she didn't have to deal with him. That in itself was something to be glad about so she was going to enjoy it while it lasted. *** Javor had heard there was another festival and as the last two had been quite fun, he had decided to attend this one as well. The bonfire seemed like it might attract a lot of people and it was out in the open, in the town square which made it seem much more pleasant than a potentially crowded, smoke-filled bar full of drunken fools. So Javor soon found himself wandering around the town square looking for someone who seemed interesting. There weren't an awful lot of people just yet but he did hope that others would begin showing up soon. The only person he really saw that was familiar, was the white haired girl from the tomato festival. Well, others should be showing up soon enough. Until then, he would simply pace around, looking at the woeful state of the shrubberies and bushes. Really. They should put in some evergreens at the very least...

"HAPPY NEW YEAR~!" River shouted as she entered the town square, cupping her mouth to amplify her already loud voice. She reached into the bag that was slung over her shoulder and pulled out a few party crackers, yanking them open one by one with a sturdy POP. Stuffing the extra toys back into the bag, she set aside a hot pink paper crown to give to Zhi. River Park loved New Year's. When she was younger, she had spent it watching movies with her sisters, or getting very very very drunk and doing lots of ridiculous things, but now that she was older, with an impressionable young son, she had become very conscious of her behavior. That's why New Year's had become such an important family holiday, and it's why they had shown up to the bonfire. Afterall, who didn't love FIRE? And just because River's bar-hopping days were over, that didn't mean she could wholeheartedly enjoy herself! "Park Family, hat time," she cheered, rooting through her bag and pull out a stack of party hats. She quickly snapped one onto her own head, placing the hat on her forehead so it stuck out like a unicorn horn. "Jeremy, you too," she grinned as she held out the stack to her teenage son.
Jeremy had first proposed the idea of coming to the bonfire with the idea that he'd come alone, but River would not hear of it. He was a little disappointed, he would have liked to be out all night with his friends and classmates from school, but he didn't mind spending it with his mothers for one more year. Returning his mother's smile, he took two party hats and placed on on either side of his head, right above his ears. He was his mother's son, afterall! After making sure that his hats were in place, he glanced around the square. No one his own age was there yet, but he hoped that someone would show up.
---
Rory shoved his hands into his coat pockets as he entered the square, marveling at the large bonfire that was blazing on ahead, but a little disappointed that he didn't know any of the people already there. He had seen them around before, yes, but that wasn't enough to justify the start of a conversation. It was a chilly Winter night, and Rory eased up next to the fire, his face already feeling warmer. Another year was gone. How many had he seen go by during his time on the island? Thinking of it made him feel a little lonely. What with everything that had happened this past year, part of him hoped that the upcoming year would be quieter, but at the same time, another part of him hoped things would be different, in more ways than one.

It was New Year's! What a fun holiday! Of course, Mitsukai would have preferred to be at the bar, but she didn't want to leave her dear older sister all alone at the Town Square and she knew Usagi wouldn't want to drink. The two sister's were appropriately bundled up in warm clothing and approached the fire, Mitsukai trotting ahead of Usagi. Maybe, just maybe Usagi would find someone to talk to and then Mitsukai could go off to the bar. Wouldn't that be fun! If not, the bonfire was fine too though. Oh, just look at the family putting on party hats. "Let's bring hats next time, Usagi!"
Usagi hadn't really been paying much attention to her surroundings. No, her mind was occupied with thoughts of the past year and the years before it. She really hadn't accomplished much, other than owing a little flower shop. Most other people her age were raising families, and there she was raising a bunch of cats and looking after her shop. Maybe she was being too hard on herself. Cats were better than raising families anyway, and it wasn't like she was alone. She had her sister and her mother lived close by, she just felt like she could have done more with the past forty-one years of her life. She looked towards her sister who was pointing and saying something about hats. Well, why not? Hats would certainly make things more exciting, and that was worth a shot. "Okay, hats!" she agreed with her sister. They were certainly mature adults.

On this cooling day, the azure haired male known as Razor is found sitting on a bench, his sky blue tunic nice and clean after his long departure. His eyes are closed as he bobs his head to the electronic music coming from his headphones. His slacks as black as night lightly ruffled from walking around town. This young hunter is taking some rest and relaxation.

αииα мαяιє ¢σя∂σνα-уσυиg A new year, a new start for the Young family, at least that’s what Michael kept preaching, as he did every year. Over and over he insisted that this year would be different. There would be easy in seeing passed the mistakes of their old life, and as a family they would bond. Well, wrong he was and that is how Anna Marie ended up at the Festival by herself. No doubt her family would be along shortly, but the thought of sitting cooped up in their little home waiting for bratty Marie to get home from work, shower, dress and eat; well, it was much too taxing a wait. They hadn’t much of a chance to mingle with the locals, all the hustle and bustle of moving from place to place constantly and Anna for one was dying to get to know the city. It would indeed be a new start. She smiled at the families around the square, knowing full well hers would be here soon and feeling mildly (and let us emphasize the use of mildly)out of sorts without them by her side. If anything, she wanted the appearance of it, like the happy hatted family she watched. ‘ Ah well,’ she thought complacently, ‘ all in time, all in time.’ Besides, she soon would know a number of the people here by first name and dirty laundry. She was the newest addition to the city’s salon, the nail technician. Her hands molded to her shapely hips and cooed aloud, head tilted to the left and then the right, " Wonderful, simply marvelous..." At the close of her exhale, a faint ' yip' sounded from the square opening and a small white dog charged towards Anna, skirting and skating beneath and around a number of residents in the process. She reached down and swept up the furry little being, snuggling her face down into her for a moments before mumbling, intelligibly to anyone not within a good 5 foot range of her and the bonfire, " Did mommy leave her little Snuggle Baby, oh no no she didn't..." OOC || Usually I post everyone separate but I figured I could do the first post with the Youngs in one chunk. A gathering! A festival! A new year!! Excitement tore through Marie as she hastily held dress after dress to her chest. Her bottom lip shone red and slightly swollen from indecisive chewing and her face flushed with her anticipation as her father and brothers anxiously called for her to finish so they could leave. Mother had left a good 20 minutes ahead of the rest, which wasn't unexpected. It was Marie they were waiting on, and when it came to her it had always seemed their ever loving mother hadn't the time or desire to stick around. Marie couldn't have gone in her apron for Heaven’s Sake, I'd only just got off work!! Regardless, another pounding knock on her door and she threw her hands up, pink dress clutched tightly in her palm, " Oh for the love all, I AM COMING!!" Within another two minutes, her brush raked through her long pigtails a final time and her last one over was accompanied by a nod of self-approval. Opening the bathroom door, she glanced around the quiet house. Her dad and brothers wouldn't leave her so she called out in jest, using her best annoyed voice, " Are you guys ready yet? We're going to miss everything!" To her satisfaction, a collective grumble came from the front room and Marie put a skip in her step as she passed them smiling and heading for the town square. ------ They arrived more than fashionably late and Marie sighed as the group split off, her father determined to find their mother and Markel glued to Mathew like a shadow. Her hands only stayed in the air to her unanswered questioning for a brief second. No one was looking back, so it didn't matter. Rolling her eyes, she began to move around the square, closer to the fire. In the frantic search for what to wear, she hadn't really considered how light her coat was. Luckily the thin thing (which was useless against the cool weather) made it easier for her to inch towards the flames. OOC || Sorry that she is more a ‘at home’ post X3 мαтнєωναℓєитιиє уσυиg ' There's no point in washing up, she doesn't know anyone to impress yet--' Mathew thought, rubbing his hands together under the flow of the kitchen sink. Marie looked fine in her apron, but no, now she had to spend forever and an hour getting ready for something they were already late to. He knew he should have gone with his mother. He shrugged at his Papa and Bay before rolling his eyes and taking his palms to play the drums against the door Marie primped and preened behind. " Yeah, yeah, just hurry it up already," he muttered as the boys moved to the front of the house. He kicked open the door and stood outside the house with his little brother, staring up at the darkening sky. ' Yep,' he thought, letting out a long breath, ' shoulda left with mom.' As soon as he decided to beg his Papa to let he and Bay walk, he snarled with his fists clenched. Marie bounded out of the house and passed them all as though she hadn't been who they were waiting on the whole time. Staring at her distancing figure then to his Papa, he rolled his eyes as he received the 'let it go' smile. He'd let it go but he didn't have to be around her now. Taking a few quick steps, his brother following in suit, he looked back at their father for approval. A nod was all Mathew needed to start his sprint towards the New Years Celebration, Bay at his heels. They came into the square hot and heavy breathed, the small boy behind Mathew more so. The boys made a quick scan of their surroundings, looking for kids their age before they spotted a few and dusted themselves down. They took on a casual stride, Bay still short of breath, as they placed themselves parentless and close to a family with a few younger kids. There was only one way to make friends, and the right kind, and Mathew was pretty sure he had it down. When he his hearing range of the red-headed boy close to their age, the only one around their age, he began talking to Bay in a loud voice, hoping to strike attention and be heard " Yeah, well since we moved here I've only done a small share of exploring. The mountains are cool, I've visited them a few times. I mean we live right by them. What I want to do though is visit the graveyard and the mines. Creepy? Maybe? It could be fun..." OOC || In case anyone is curious or wanting, Matty does have a post up in ‘The Mountains’ waiting for a reply.

тнє мσияσє тωιиѕ єℓιzα кєℓℓєи мσияσє They should have gone by the inn first, to check in. To get everything organized. To wash up. To change clothes- something. This was the first impression that Nirvani was going to get of the Monroe Twins.. normally, this wouldn't have been a problem. Not for Eliza at least. She didn't much care for dressing up and getting all fancied out for events unless a date called for her to, and even then, a date only ever a date really until the next morning so what did it matter to her what kind of impression to make. The ferry ride had been delayed then stuck out at sea though, and the normally steel stomached blonde did not approve of the oceans decided currents, just as it did not approve of her. The smelled like salt water... but alas, the rest of the island had the same aroma. ' That, I suppose, would be one of the perks of living by the sea? Smelling like the sea?' Eliza shook her head as they wandered around the square. She kept an eye on Elizabeth’s should-be-nervous figure, crowds never had done her well. People never really had been her forte. Neither of the twins were outstanding socialites. Eliza was too brash, honest, nonchalant; Elizabeth on the other hand was overly courteous, meek, quiet. She needed Eliza there, or at least that's how the two minute senior woman felt about it. She felt silly still, even if impressions didn't mean much to her, carrying her large duffel bag around the square. Dammit Beth, you should be carrying mine too. Coulda missed a few more minutes of this... Even as she said it, she was almost positive they would have had to return here or wait around the Inn until after the celebration was done anyhow. Any small town she'd ever visited, fairs and festivals, any celebration really, had shut the place down. Most locals just migrated towards the gathering place and left 'Will Return Shortly' signs posted on doors and desks. She ran her fingers through her hair and set her green eyes determinedly on the crowd around her. She'd been pushed out of her last city, dragging Beth down with her and this was their best chance for a new start. A fresh start. It was the beginning of a new year, what better a time? They had fresh records, no one knew them, no one would make judgments before they got to know the girls, assuming she let someone get to know the new her. Eliza doubted it, and looking around at the jovial fools that skipped about the square, her doubts began to grow even larger. They were all so... clean looking. Frowning, Eliza pinched her fingers to her brow, rubbing away the encroaching ache. Eliza was clean too, right? She'd promised Beth she was, that this was the last move.. |•||•|•||•|•||•|•||•| єℓιzαвєтн нσυѕтσи мσияσє Elizabeth could hardly stand the wait as the ferry floated as still as it could help on the way to Nirvani. Of course they would have boat trouble the one day her sister was already looking green gilled. This move was big for both of them, but more so for Eliza. She knew that this new place was a new start for her sister, a fresh, clean start. She was proud of Kells for trying this, for agreeing to move not just another city over this time, but to literally the middle of the great blue nowhere, where none of her old connections could crop up and convince her to slip back into that landslide that had snatched them both up. Beth shook her head dropping her bag at her feet and sitting down on the nearest bench. Her eyes flickered for a moment towards @the blue haired boy who shared the end of it before they returned to her zipper. Opening the oversized bag revealed the reasoning for it. With an excited ' chipchipchippering', a small red-furred animal darted from it and up the woman’s arm, around to her shoulder and began nuzzling her face playfully. " No more nap time, Arco?" Beth purred, running her fingers up the creatures back as he arched into it, much like a cat, " Good, you picky little thing. I need someone to talk to right now, Kells is a bit busy." The squirrel chattered for another moment before slipping across the outside of her shirt and to her knee, sitting straight up and letting his tail unfurl behind him. Beth's attention fell to her sisters figure again, letting her have a moment to take in their new home. The New Years celebration had been her idea for a first stop, and with good reason. ' We need to catapult ourselves into this community, to get familiar with these faces,' she thought, biting her bottom lip. And things like this, well that's how they worked. ooc || I'm still working out a post format for them lol... till then, have my twins. Ps, if you've read over their bios, weeellll I'm changing some stuff lol

Razor BreezeThough it appeared the blue haired boy didn't pay much attention to the young green haired woman next to him, he did slightly open his right eye to get a glance at her figure. What caught his attention was her clothing, seemingly hand made by his point of view. He watched the small red-furred animal dart up the girl's body, then closed his eyes, returning to bobbing his head.

мι¢нαєℓ мαтнєωѕ уσυиg The walk to the town square was short and brisk, the freeze of Winter still baring its edge. Each cloud of breath proves as much, Michael thought as he watched his boys trounce about the path before them. His gaze fell to his daughter, his girl. ' She's always so well behaved,' he mused, a smile reaching his face as the crackle of the Town Square's bonfire cracked the air, ' just like her mother....' Pushing the thought from his mind, he tucked his hands in his coat and stepped foot into the square. He'd lost visual on Mathew and Bay, but knew for certain the brothers were fine together. Offering Marie a smile, the 6'4 man turned to search for his wife, unaware of who he would find in the process. They had come into contact with a choice few members of the island on their visits, only people who had directly to do with their home and most of them were inlanders who just held information on Nirvani. He couldn't help smile at the sight of the two woman donning hats and thrusting one upon the kid with them. Smiles, that's what he wanted to see, his family smiling and celebrating all together again. . . мαякєℓ вαуиαя∂ уσυиg His gangly legs could hardly keep up with the boy in front of him as Bay rushed to his brothers shadow. " Come on, Mathew," he huffed, hiking the dyed leather strap higher over his shoulder and tightening his grip on his lamp. It wasn't even dark yet, but he was always prepared. It would be when they came back. Duh. A bonfire wouldn't light up their walk home. His mom would be thankful of his thoughtfulness, he was sure of it. " We aren't racing, and if I drop this you owe me!" His eyebrows narrowed, part jest but the majority of it a sincere statement. He wasn't going to break his mining lamp the first night he had it out in his new city!! He didn't even hear Mathew start reciting some audience-other-than-Bay scripted ramble. Mountains, grave yards... they didn't sound scary to him, the graves, but it still wasn't something he was keen on. " Or there is the abandon park, the hot springs, the mines," he added, smiling at their volume as he shifted a subtle glance towards the red-headed boy, Jeremy and mumbled once more, hopefully, " or the mines..."

Zelynity was very, very happy that it was time for New Year's! This last year had been one of the best that she could remember. She had work, she had a boyfriend, and she had her dog! A dog that was currently tugging her forward and towards the hustle and bustle that was the Town Square. She had made it a personal tradition to always come to the bonfire celebration every year. It was funny to look back and think on just how long she had been doing this same old routine. It was nice to have traditions. It always gave her something to look forward to! She placed her hand, that wasn't practically being yanked out of socket, into her jacket pocket and scanned the area. She saw Rory up ahead and thought about going to talk to him before she noticed another person not all that far from him: Usagi. Oh, how she wanted more than anything to just walk up behind Rory and shove him in that direction! She decided that she needed to show restraint, however, and settled for waving at him before continuing her walk around the area.
______________________________________________
Beatrice entered the plaza with a smile on her face. It was another lovely holiday and even if the whole family wasn't here, she had gotten Lyra to join her. Though she was certain that Lyra would dash off soon, she was determined to have a good time. Perhaps she would see someone that she knew, or could meet someone new! That could be fun! Speaking of new, she saw a lot of people that she didn't recognize. That was a rare feeling for her. After spending the majority of her life on the island, it always felt like she knew everyone. "I think I'm going to go greet some new people." She said to Lyra with a smile and rubbed her niece's shoulder. "Thanks a lot for agreeing to come with me. Meet back up at midnight?" After receiving confirmation, she started walking.
It wasn't long before she stopped near Eliza and clasped her hands together behind herself. "Hi! I'm Beatrice. I'm not so sure that I've seen you around before and wanted to come introduce myself." Yes, that sounded like a great introduction! She looked around, noticing a woman close by that was a mirror image of the one she had approached. Oh, twins! That was something new and exciting! She'd always secretly wished she had a twin. They always seemed to have so much fun on TV. They could switch places for each other and speak a secret twin language. How cool would that be? Beatrice remembered a time when she had tried to create a secret language with her brother, but that wasn't received very well. She blamed the age difference.
______________________________________________
This was mainly just another way to get out of the house for Lyra. She could really care less what "holiday" this was supposed to be. It was just another year for her to laze around in this boring place. Sure, there was a mostly steady stream of new, sometimes interesting, people coming in, but there wasn't much else. She had a hard time finding some real fun and was accompanying her aunt to a bonfire. A bonfire! What type of people wanted to gather around a fire in the cold? It was dark and winter was still trying to hold on. This was stupid. She should've just stayed home or went to the bar with her father. She cringed at the thought of seeing her dad getting drunk and hitting on girl's her age. Okay, so going with her dad was definitely out of the question. She decided it best to just try and make some fun out of this. When Bea had mentioned separating, she simply nodded. Who was she to bring down her aunt's spirits? She turned her head to watch her walk off and decided that it would probably be best if she started making some sort of effort too.
As soon as she started walking, she noticed one person in particular that she just knew she had seen before. The only question was where? It didn't take her long to look the man over and realize exactly where she had seen him before. It was that godawful man that had been practically stalking her along with her father. She was so furious at just the memory of that horrible day that she was hardly paying attention to where she was going and almost ran into someone else. "Oh, sorry." She said, offhandedly, before she got a good look at the person in front of her, Michael. He looked like he would make a perfect candidate for wasting her time. He was just so tall and had that attractive older feel about him. "Hmm. I don't think we've met." She placed a hand on her hip and tilted her head at him. Gosh, it was hard to go from hating her life to trying to be attractive.

Keegan was patting one hand against his leg and holding onto Sani's hand with the other. It was another one of those festival things that seemed to be just family-oriented enough to warrant their presence. He looked around the area, happy to see the fire up ahead. There was something so calming about a nice fire. He simply couldn't resist tugging Sani along and finding a place to sit. "Happy New Year to my big boy!" He chuckled and ruffled the kid's hair before sitting down. Ah, this was a perfect little night. The bonus was that the place was pretty open and he was sure that he could be able to keep tabs on the tyke when he decided to scurry off. This age was not all that fun. It was a bit annoying to have to constantly chase him down and worry about what he was getting into next. Keegan took a minute to look at all the people and try to see if there was anyone that looked like a potential threat. Nah, they all seemed pretty safe. "Oh, Sani, look! There's plenty of giiiiiirls over there in their skiiiiiirts!" That was sure to get him some time to himself.

xxx Everything had been going well for Javor until he met the very fat pigeon. somehow, despite that it was clearly just a bird, he felt a strange sense of camaraderie with this fat bird. Something about the slant of its little birdy eyes, the way it puffed up his feathers when it saw him...something said this was a pigeon that understood the value of chopping someone's head off and keeping on hand for those moments you just needed someone to talk to... Then again, he could have been imagining it. He'd had a rather large glass of wine before coming to the square, after all. Regardless, he decided that he absolutely must catch this bird. It could be a companion for his cat, once he found the cat, of course. But since it was the new year, Javor decided it was appropriate to ring in the festivities by catching that pigeon so he began to sneak up on it stealthily. Unfortunately, the pigeon had other ideas. Namely...escape. But it seemed loath to actually fly away, instead fluttering up angrily when Javor drew near, only to flutter down again a few feet away to try to go about its business. And thus, the chase was on. Javor and the fat bird scrambled all over the town square, the redhead trying to entice the pigeon closer and the pigeon having none of that as it clumsily flapped away from him repeatedly, making angry cooing sounds in his general direction. They went through the fountain, wove around the street lamps, ran through clusters of people, went over a stone bench and the lap of a vaguely familiar white haired girl ( Angela) and ever closer to the large, vibrant bonfire. Too close unfortunately. In its desperation to get away from Javor, the poor pigeon flew straight into the fire. It might have gotten away but its poor, bulbous head got stuck between some bits of firewood and it gave one, last squawk of indignation before giving up the ghost and taking up a new career as an entree. Javor nearly ran headlong into the fire but managed to stop himself from following the poor, fat bird's little footsteps and he watched with a disappointed sigh as it began to roast to a lovely golden brown. He really wasn't good with animals, was he?

' At least I won't be cold..' Marie mused silently, a faint smile having secured its way across her face. More and more people began stirring around the Square, wandering to and from the fire. A few brushing by her only to offer jovial excuses and smiles, making everything almost movie like. Calm, peaceful, loving. She heard the clip of shoes on the ground again and looked up in time to see a semi-frantic pigeon making its way through the crowd---- and into the bonfire!! She jumped back, hands cupping her mouth as a small " Oh,"slipped from her lips. Eyes widening, they stayed stuck between the planks of wood, feathers giving way to the scorching heat and settling into ash. She slowly turned at the sound of a sigh, coming from a nearby male ( Javor), her face still strung up in mild horror and disbelief, as it seemed not many around them saw the poor flighted things fiery demise. A small questioning squeak left Marie as she threw glances between the wild orange flames and the quiet redheaded being. мι¢нαєℓ мαтнєωѕ уσυиg Michael scanned the crowd for Anna (who unbeknownst to him was currently making her way to the bar) but slumped his shoulders forward as she was nowhere to be seen. His eyes flickered left, then right, back to his boys and briefly towards Marie. He saw everyone else. The little families, the boy on the bench beside a pair of twins, the male who shuffled his feet near his daughter; everyone but his wife. ---And whoever ran into him. The dull thud against his back barely caused him to stir, though he felt it and looked back at the blue haired, unintentional assailant ( Lyra). His brow creased into a smile as she readied her hands at her hips and announced their obvious lack of introduction. Chuckling, Michael turned around to face the girl, who couldn't be much past 20. " No, we haven't," he offered in a deep voice, holding a hand out to her. The crowd shifted around them as he relaxed, rolling his shoulders to do so. She was a cute little thing, and seemed a bit on the sharp side. " My name is Michael, and what might I call you?" |•||•|•||•|•||•|•||•| єℓιzα кєℓℓєи мσияσє Crack, crack, snap, crackle - the sounds of the fire replaced the bustle and nonsensical meanderings of those around her. She didn't care about the New Year, she didn't care about the celebration, she didn't particularly care for her current situation, at all. Eliza cared only about the uncomfortable bubble that was expanding in her chest as she watched the fire pop and consume itself. That was her. She would be consuming herself.. A voice caught her attention, though it wasn't that of her sisters, which she had been expecting. Instead it was a short-haired girl who chipperly and promptly introduced herself as Beatrice. After a moments delay in which the ruffled twin debated on whether she would acknowledge the woman at all or not, she answered. " No, you wouldn't have. My sister and I literally just stepped off the Ferry." She looked the woman over once, and offered a somewhat lightened face, her chin lifting an a fraction of a smile hitting the corner of her mouth, " My name is Eliza, Elizabeth is my twin. The one whispering to her squirrel... yeah.." If there was one thing that Eliza didn't really want to do, it was socialize sober. There had to be a damned bar somewhere in this town, but she hadn't had a chance to look it over. Elizabeth would get over her drinking. If the island was dry of every other alternative, then alcohol would be Eliza's next most comfortable weapon. " Is there anywhere to get a damn drink around here?" As the question barked its way towards Beatrice, Eliza's stern face lightened a hair, not meaning to sound so demanding. She stood by it though, wanting to know and wanting to get out of there. ' It's not rude, just a brash wording to a good question...' she thought somewhat defensively to herself, her hands planting themselves on her hips. ooc || -- ;3

Food. That was all that was on Izzy’s mind. Her stomach was just roaring from hunger, and while she could have used the money from the charity to buy food and stuff, she’d rather save that for something more important… like strippers and cardboard boxes. Yeah, that was so much more important because strippers were a necessity in life. She had been rummaging through trash cans and dumpsters, and that was when she smelled it. Smoke. Holy period microwaves! Who the hell was having a BBQ without her? She was the life of the party! She stormed straight for the source of the smell: the town square, and when she had arrived, she saw a bird roasting away in the fire. It was hers! First, she needed to apply manners. After all, it seemed like there were two people staring ever so longingly at the bird. Actually, these were two very cute babes. [ Javor and Marie] Hm. What to eat first. The bird or the girls. Hmmmmmmm. HMMMMMMMMMM. “Sorry, ladies, but that bird is mine!” It was the hardest decision that Izzy had to regretfully make. She shoved past the two babes and dove for a stick that wasn’t on fire and proceeded to skewer the poor bird in order to take it out. Her stomach! It was to be filled tonight! Yes! Then, her libido would come shortly after that.
