To say she startled him would be an understatement, the sudden weight of her body on his shoulders causing his knees to buckle beneath him. He barely managed to remain standing, hands immediately grasping her legs to hold her up. "What the --" he cut himself off, titling his head to peer up at her. "Very funny Iris," he said, unamused.
He was aware of their close proximity (after all, her legs were draped over his shoulder and he could feel bare skin pressing against him) but was far too frustrated with her to care. "You can get off now," he told her. Really, after all that he didn't want to be around her.
"Really," he insisted rocking on his heels briefly before he started to walk forward again. "If you didn't notice, I'm trying to leave." Harsh.

A half smile appeared upon her face.
"...I'm pretty sure you might want me to come with you at least until you are outside... last thing we need is a cat screeching about someone being in the back areas without an escort..." Some fingers casually stroked through his hair as if she was petting some sort of animal.
"...you're stuck with me for a bit, if anything!"

"You know what," he told her, tempted to toss her off his shoulders again, "I really don't give a ********." The offensive language was probably uncalled for but he wasn't just going to sit around and play with him. He batted her hands away from his hair. "Seriously," he snarled, eyes narrowing. "Knock it off."
He dropped his hands and grit his teeth. "I just--" he stopped trying to figure out how to talk to her without being ridiculously rude. "I really need you to get off of me and I'm a big boy, I'm going out the way I came. No unnecessary detours," he assured her.
"Frankly I can't wait to get out."

The way she was perched on him was not a manner which was easy to just disengage upon a whim. She might have been tall, but the Squire she was riding was also tall. For the moment, she used his head like the top of a table and leaned her elbow lightly upon it so she could lean upon her hand.
"...I can't dismount if you keep moving."
His shift in language and tone had not gone unnoticed. From her current spot, she began to mention in a nearly drawling manner "...look... there isn't any way to avoid the humidity... so how about we go out on the town and I get you a drink... my treat..."
She glanced sideways as if trying to make certain nobody was around to hear the next part. Once she seemed satisfied, she mentioned in a lowered tone "...it isn't like I'm saying sorry... but it isn't like I'm not saying sorry either..."

"You're an acrobat, I'm sure you could figure it out," he said, dryly.
He considered not stopping for her and once again debated tossing her off his shoulders but, despite his anger and irritation at the senshi, he didn't want to intentionally hurt her. So he stopped, briefly, for her to climb off his shoulders. When she did get off he wasted no time in moving on.
"I'm sure I'll survive," he retorted to her warning and offer. "I think I'll pass, I should probably meet up with the rest of the knights," he mumbled making up some excuse to just leave. She was trying, in her own way, to make things better between them but Crims wasn't very good at turning off his emotional shut down.
He almost snorted at her feeble attempt to apologize without really apologizing and he realized that it came out more rude than he expected. "That's as good as it's going to get isn't it?" He asked letting out a sigh. He should accept it and move on but his pride was preventing him from doing that.
He was like the dejected boy who tried to offer his crush a flower and been painfully rejected.
It was hard to just let go.
"I guess that drink isn't out of the question..." Okay, he was kinda trying too.

Once he had stopped, she finally had a chance to get off of her perch. However, it wasn't nearly as simple as just "hopping off." Using her legs to latch onto him securely, she leaned back, her back soon enough pressed upon his as she hung upside down. Her arms reached out low, as if preparing to catch her when she inevitably had to let go of his shoulders.
Once the grip of her legs slipped from his shoulders, a subtle thump sounded as she landed before she seemed to follow him by walking on her hands. Iris was quite adjusted to walking on her hands and maintaining normal conversations, though others around her might not have been nearly as immune to her antics.
She wasn't really put off by him declining her offer as he had initially phrased it. It did spark up the question "...are they other knights from Saturn, or...?"
However, he then snorted.
And then said that to accompany the snort. Iris' face was quite red, though the reason was not clear. It might have been the blood rushing to her face. Or it might have been a sort of embarrassment.
The girl didn't say anything for a while, creating an awkward silence as the pair walked, one on his feet and one on her hands.
It was only after he mentioned a potential for her to get him something to drink, the blonde seemed to perk up a bit. "Oh, good! Pomona showed me an excellent pub! Pretty sure you'd enjoy it!" She grinned from her current spot.
"...have you met this world's senshi before? Or test your luck with some of the Pomonian peppers?"

The silence seemed to stretch between them, blanketing them like a thick fog before he broke it and she kept it from settling again. He hadn't looked at her until she began blathering on, rattling nonsense about pubs and peppers. He laughed, the tone between them softer. Calmer. "Don't think so, maybe. I don't know. Not everyone is as willing to state their senshindom as you are."
He didn't want to admit that he'd hardly interacted with any of the locals really. They had arrived, met with some people and separated with the orders to reconvene before the lamplights went out. He had wasted no time in seeking out the circus tent once he discovered it was here.
"Heard some of the boys mention peppers though. Think they mean to bring some back with them," he shrugged, folding his hands together and settling them behind his head. He started walking towards what he believed to be the exit he'd entered through.
He stopped to look back at her, offering a lopsided grin, "Oi, coming now aren't you? I mean you gotta show me that pub." His tone was light hearted and while he hadn't quite forgiven her, he was moving forward.

Once they were outside, the blonde lowered her body down until she was pretty much laying down in the dirt on her stomach. Which now meant she was quite filthy. However, she didn't seem to mind as she simply just arced her back and looked up in Crims' direction.
"Cali was pretty open about being the world's senshi, but I think that mostly has to do with her duties to her world. You know, 'playing nice with the other senshi' sort of deal."
At that point she finally decided to stand herself up. All of the humidity had caused her skin to be moist, and now her stomach and whole front of her costume was covered in wet dirt. With the back of her hand she brushed at it to try to loosen what she could, but wet dirt wasn't nearly as easy to banish away as the dry variety.
"She's a redhead... tends to be asked to hang around 'touristy' areas if you get what I mean." One more attempt and the blonde had to scoff "Well... I would have come now, but now I'm all dirty!"
With a half apologetic smile, she turned to her companion. "...if you promise to wait out here... I'll change into something a little less... um... decorated..." She ruffled her cleaner of her hands in her hair before mentioning "...well... the boys might be disappointed that their peppers aren't nearly as amazing as the ones at the manor."
She half turned, preparing to return to the depths of her temporary home.
"...so... I'll be back in a bit... don't get in too much trouble, Crims!"

"A ginger?" He sounded a bit more excited, or eager, than intended and was thankful that he wasn't facing the blonde. If he was any less skilled at masking his emotions, fueled by lessons with his father, then his cheeks may have flushed a rosy color. Instead he merely cleared his throat and tugged at the collar of his tunic as though it was choking him. "I haven't wandered by the touristy areas," he said quickly, aiming to keep her attention averted from his stumble.
When he paid attention to his companion he couldn't conceal his amusement at her mud-covered abdomen. "'Really Iris," he scolded, shaking his head at her. "You should have known better." She spoke like she had visited before and like she was familiar with Pomona's climate. She should have known the ground would be moist.
He waved a hand like he was dismissing her. "Yeah, yeah. I'm sure they'll still enjoy them though. No go," he shooed her, complete with the hand motion. "I've waited long enough for you already," he teased, turning his back on her. His hands returned to their folded position behind his head and he marched forward.
"Oh," he said quickly, glancing back at her retreating form. "I can't promise that, I am trouble." And he tossed his head back laughing.
