Hey everyone!
Thanks for being patient you guys! I'm here to announce that the White Day results have been announced! Please check the festival thread to see which characters will be going on dates~
For those who bid: please post a quick note in the White Day thread saying where your character's date should meet them! The White Day festival does not take place in the festival thread -- this way there is no deadline -- so you can ask your date to meet you wherever you want! It can be at their house, at the coffee shop or bar, or even out in the middle of the woods where no one can hear their cries for help! Once you've posted the note, the date can start whenever and go for as long as you want.
Also! This means that the Pumpkin Moon Festival is closed! The festival thread has been locked already, but if you want to keep playing, please post in the fields.

Hey everyone!
August is speeding along, isn't it? I can't believe September is almost upon us! But this means that I have some announcements about guild events~
1. First, Stocking Day is here! Stay alert and you may catch the light sound of fairy feet on the rooftops! ...Though you'd probably have to listen really hard to hear that, plus fairies don't use their feet to get around, and... well, whatever! The fairies will be out and about leaving gifts for their followers! However, this year there will be no Stocking Festival. The fairies will still visit everyone's homes, but we will not open the festival thread, and there will be no gift exchange. We hope you will use the time instead to catch up on White Day posts and prepare for New Year's.
2. Now, I'm very excited to announce a special event! September 3rd is right around the corner, which means... IT'S NIRVANI'S 3RD ANNIVERSARY! Three years! A lot has happened during these three years, a lot of people and characters have come and gone, and I wholeheartedly want to thank everyone who's stuck with us from the very start and those who have joined us along the way. I think it's a real testament to this community that Serend, Lone, Fantasy, and the rest of the original crew created, that we have been able to last so long. We love you all!
To celebrate, we'll be holding a special guild-wide contest! For those of you who were with us during the first anniversary, this should look familiar~
We would like EVERYONE to PM LoliKokoro, Serendipitous Coma, AND Seryn Nioreh TWO NOMINEES PER CATEGORY. Not one, not three, but two! I know it's a lot of PMs to send, but we want to make sure that no one's nominations get left out or forgotten! The top three nominees for each category will be posted after the deadline, and we'll all vote again for the winner. You can nominate the same character for different categories, and there are no restrictions on nominating yourself.
Please send your nominations to us three by September 1st. We will not take any more nominations after that.
Here are the categories!
Favorite Male Character: __________ & __________ Favorite Female Character: __________ & __________ Funniest Character: __________ & __________ Cutest Character: __________ & __________ Weirdest Character: __________ & __________ Village Idiot: __________ & __________ Best Worker: __________ & __________ Best Child/Baby: [12 or younger] __________ & __________ Best Couple: [dating or married, already established] __________ & __________ Best Bachelor: __________ & __________ Best Bachelorette: __________ & __________ Best Pet: __________ & __________ Best Budding Romance: __________ & __________ Best Family: __________ & __________ Best Plot: __________ & __________ Funniest Moment: __________ & __________ Best Festival Moment: __________ & __________ Best New Friendship: __________ & __________

Hey everyone!
Year 25 has come to a close and the spring is almost upon us! From September on, Nirvani will be in Year 26. There have been a few updates here and there, including the Character List, in case you'd like to see how old everyone'll be in the upcoming year~
To celebrate the transition from Year 25 to Year 26, we are opening New Year's Eve!. Come ring in the New Year with friends, family, and neighbors! Families can head over to the Town Square for some wholesome bonfire fun, while those over 18 can pop into the bar for something a little more alcoholic. If you'd like to celebrate the New Year with everyone, you can start sending your characters to either of these locations! The celebration will go on all night, with a countdown at midnight. Happy New Year everyone! We hope to see you there~

Hey everyone!
How's everyone doing? Hope you're all having a nice, relaxing weekend~
I'm here to announce that the Cooking Festival will be opening soon! The Cooking Festival, for those who don't know, is a competition where town residents, in teams of one or two people, show off their cooking skills and try to dazzle the judges. This year's judges will be Lilia Sonata and Alex Park, and we'd like to welcome our guest judge for Year 26, Murren MacMahan!
If you would like to participate in the Cooking Festival, please send your characters to the festival thread in the next few days. Please include team entries in an ooc note so we don't miss anyone! The thread will be open for a few days before the contest begins, so please make sure to send your characters ASAP!
As always, please please please feel free to ask any questions, through PM or in the OOC, if you would like extra explanations.

Hello everyone!
Nirvani is a guild with a lot of festivals. We try very hard to make sure that there's always something fun and lighthearted open, and up until now we've tried to juggle two festivals a season. But with so many of our members (and crew) being understandably busy, getting through a whole festival in one or two weeks just isn't feasible, not without losing some things. We have skipped a couple of festivals already due to time constraints, and to be honest, many of the festivals we have opened have felt rushed because we had a deadline.
The whole point of festivals is to be a fun experience outside of normal posting, to meet new people and make new friends and foster new relationships, and the crew feels that there has not been enough time to do so under the current system and activity levels. SO. We will be trying out a new festival system for at least a few months.
From now on, there will only be one festival a season. The festival will open at the start of the season and close, presumably, at the end, giving you a full month to roleplay and make the most of the festival. This is just a trial, mind you, and if it turns out it is not an effective solution, or if activity picks up, we will try something else or return to the previous system.
Before each season starts, we will all vote for the next season's festival. Sadly, because only one festival will be open each season, we will have to skip the other, but we want to make sure that we're not skipping the one that everyone wants to do! So, please check the ooc poll and vote for next season. We can open Beach Day or Valentine's Day, so please let us know which one you'd prefer!
Thank you all for always being so patient and understanding, we hope this new system will relieve some of the pressure of festivals~

Hello everyone!
Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll! We reached a clear majority, so I'm here to announce that Valentine's Day will be this year's summer festival! It will open at the start of October and continue for the rest of the month, so please keep your eyes open!
Of course, V-day is nothing without its blind date service, so! I'm here to announced that sign-ups for V-day are open. If you would like your character(s) to find their soulmate(?) and enjoy a nice blind date in the town gardens, please PM Serendipitous Coma to enter. Please include a list of the characters you would like to have participate, along with the gender they are looking for, male, female, or either. If you don't include this, who knows who your character will end up with? There is no age restriction, so you can send children and teenagers if you so choose.
The deadline for sign-ups will be September 30th. Once the festival starts, the blind date service is closed, so if you would like to participate, please send Serendipitous Coma a PM ASAP! And as always, if you have any questions about the festival, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hello everyone!
I'm here to announce that we have new added things to the following threads:
1. The Big List of Everything - We added a new category, PHOBIAS. If you have any characters with phobias and you would like them listed in the Big List, please make sure to post there so I know to add it!
2. The Job Center - That's right, we have new jobs! The crew put their heads together and decided to add some new things to the town, so please check it out! In total, we added six new businesses and thirty-seven new jobs! Has your maid always dreamed of being a lifeguard? You can change jobs if you would like, so please send me a PM if your character(s) would like to try out a new career.
If you have any questions about the new additions or you think something's still missing, please don't hesitate to send a PM or bring it up in the OOC!

LISTEN UP, EVERYONE!
I have something incredibly super duper important to tell you and that is precisely why I am screaming at you! As you all know by now, we have implemented a voting system to determine which festivals will be chosen for each month. It is now time again for you to make that decision! WOO DEMOCRACY!
Since this may be the first time some of you have seen these specific festivals, I thought it'd be best to briefly explain each of them to help your decision along. The Tomato Festival consists of characters pairing up into teams of 1-3 members. Thirty tomatoes are then divided amongst them and are flung at the opposing teams. People are then eliminated, based on their own power mixed with some chance, until we finally have our winning team! It's some good competition to relieve some of that pent up rage we know all of your characters have.
Next option is the Pumpkin Moon Festival! For this, all of the characters come in a costume of their choice (if they so wish, there is no requirement to come in costume) to spend the night having fun, eating snacks and gazing up at the moon. Costumes are judged and there is a special prize for one lovely lady and one lucky gentleman! This festival is generally more relaxed and will surely be a fun night to spend out with friends!
So, take a few minutes and hop on into the OOC Lounge and make your choice for the Fall festival! If you feel you need more information, you can go look at the specific threads. We really need all of the votes to make sure that everyone's voice is taken into account. We'd hate for someone's voice to go unheard. If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to ask us! <3

Hello everyone!
I hope you guys all had a good Halloween, and you're enjoying your sugar comas~
It's November now, so we're closing the poll for the Fall festival, though not everyone voted. The festival for Fall, Year 26 will be the Pumpkin Moon Festival. Send your characters to the festival to eat sweets, snack on pumpkin treats (if you didn't get enough at this year's Cooking Festival!), and enjoy the large harvest moon with the other townspeople. Costumes are not mandatory, but definitely encouraged! This festival will be open the entirety of November.
And because Summer is over, Valentine's Day will be closing. You can still continue your roleplays in the Garden thread or relocate somewhere else, but the festival thread will be closed shortly.
Let's have a good Fall!

LISTEN UP, EVERYONE!
Hi! I have some wonderful news to bestow upon you! It is once again time for another lovely poll to decide what festival you (well, mostly your characters) will be attending for Winter! You have two pretty great contenders this time, so make sure that you vote and make your voice heard. It's impossible for us to get these decisions made without the voices of everyone.
Since this may be the first time some of you have seen these specific festivals, I thought it'd be best to briefly explain each of them to help your decision along. White Day involves wonderful bachelors signing up to sell their souls a date with them. The women (and sometimes men) then bet on the dates based only on a simple description. Once the bets are in, the highest bidder wins their lovely gent. The winner then gets to choose whatever in the world they could want to do with their date because hey, they paid good money for that s**t!
Next option is the Stocking Day Festival! Stocking Day is a lot like the wonderful Nirvani version of Christmas. For this festival, characters are randomly paired with the name of a person and purchase a gift for them. It's wonderful and mysterious and it highlights the spirit of giving! The festival is also a good way to socialize with locals and have a fun night out in the cold. The perfect temperature for bundling up to someone and telling them you love them before the year runs out! You might even get to spot a fairy out on this night if you pay close attention.
So, please take a few minutes and go into OOC to make your choice on one of these two festivals. If you feel you need more information, there are threads for each that might be able to help some more. We really need all of the votes to make sure that everyone's voice is taken into account. We'd hate for someone's voice to go unheard. If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to ask us! <3

Hello everyone!
Brrr, it's getting cold! ...Well, except for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere, in which case, summer heatwaves amirite? In any case, I hope everyone's doing well with the holiday season and all, and finals/end of classes for those of you in school!
We've had a quiet month and a half as Life waits for no roleplayer, but it's time to get back into the swing of things! Serend has kindly made a few guild announcements, but I'd like to summarize them here in case you missed something:
We've gone through and cleaned up the memberlist, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who posted in the attendance thread, and those who may later rejoin us once life calms down a bit! All roleplays occurring before December 10th will be wrapped up or ended. If there's something you desperately want to finish, you are certainly welcome to continue if the other player(s) agree, but generally it should be assumed that all unfinished roleplays are now finished, and people should now start new roleplays. The request board has also been reset, so it's a great way to start some new roleplays! Stocking Festival won the Winter Festival poll but we will unfortunately be canceling it this season because we want to be able to focus on the in-thread roleplays. However, Stocking Day will still happen, so the crew will be working hard to get our fairy notes to you guys this month!
The date is currently Winter 12th, Year 26! If you have any questions, any questions about anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask! Let's finish Year 26 on a good note!

LISTEN UP, EVERYONE!
I hope that the holiday season is going swell for everyone! It's getting to be that time again where the seasons are changing, and this time it brings a New Year (in RL and Nirvani)! Yes, Year 27 is just around the corner and that brings some more festivals! I'm here to be the helpful reminder fairy and give a quick explanation of the wonderful festivals that you have to choose from.
Since this may be the first time some of you have seen these specific festivals, I thought it'd be best to briefly explain each of them to help your decision along. The Cooking Festival is a fun little contest where the citizens of Nirvani show off their cooking skills! Teams of one or two compete against each other in three rounds: appetizer, entree and dessert. They are judged based on quality of food preparation and display. It makes for a fun event and you never know what the theme may be this year! Next option is the Goddess Festival! This festival is a fun gathering to celebrate the Goddess and all she has provided us. Those who come are free to join in the dancing and fine refreshments provided. There is also a crowning of Harvest King and Harvest Goddess based on voting done by the residents.
So, take a few minutes and hop on into the OOC Lounge and make your choice for the Spring festival! If you feel you need more information, you can go look at the specific threads or ask any of the crew for more information! We really need all of the votes to make sure that everyone's voice is taken into account. We'd hate for someone's voice to go unheard. If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to ask us! <3

KA-PEW, An Announcement For Yooou!
A brief announcement for you nice Nirvani folk! It's time for another FESTIVAL! Yes! The polls have been closed and it looks like ya'll have a hankering for some Goddess Festival shenanigans! As such, we have opened the festival in the festival subforum, so feel free to start sending your characters out for some socializing, free food, and a popularity contest to find out the Harvest Goddess and King representative of the year! It'll be super fun so I totally recommend and encourage everyone to toss in at least once, especially if you're still looking for some friendships and whatnot for your character! ♥
