Harlequin glanced over at her taking a few seconds to really look over her figure, she was petite and it made her look lovely. Before he shifted his gaze to her face and then answered her question "you could say I am new to the island" he told her thoughtfully. He smiled "i'll keep that in mind next time I decide to get into water" he grinned before he frowned lightly "well..to be honest not really..I've been airborne most of my life" he admitted sheepishly before he let the water slowly creep up his body in effort to keep him cool in the sunlight.

If she had known the male was checking her out, she would have blushed her brightest yet. As it was though, she remained ignorant to the fact as she pondered what he said. "That makes sense then...such a shame you don't know how..." Swimming was one of lifes simple pleasures. Suddenly she gasped, clapping her hands together as she beamed. "I could teach you! It'll take a few lessons, but I wouldn't mind spending time with you! That is of course, if you'd like that."

Harlequin nodded his head agreeing with her "It is..but its something I'm willing to learn" he told her and tilted his head to the side. Being angel mostly required him to be airborne or he would have wings for no reason "although..on some occasions I do stay grounded" he said with a light chuckle, getting his small joke himself. Before gazed at her with his green eyes "Well..if you're up for it. I would love to spend time with you some more" he said with a grin.

Still beaming, the female nodded again. "It's a very useful skill to know. What if you saw someone drowning? You would have to watch helplessly from the shore!" Well, not that she would actually expect that. But it could happen. She grinned on his double entendre. "Then it's settled. Just call me your own private tutor! We can start today even."

Harlequin grinned "I would imagine so. You make a very good point Lady Adora" he said thinking about it. He wasn't going to admit that he would enjoy calling her his own private tutor. He simply just smiled and nodded his head "I will do just that" he said "if we are going to start today, what are we going to do first?" he asked her.

"Well...we'll get in a little deeper, until its around chest deep. That way you can easily stand. There, we can practice the movements." She nodded thoughtfully to herself, thinking of all the steps required. Though she could be very energetic, one would be sorely mistaken if they thought Adora to be a ditz. Raken, one of the most well-read pae on the island, was her Uncle after all.

Harlequin nodded his head as he stood up and folded his wings close to his body "sounds like a good start" he said and waded into what he guessed was the center of the lake. He flinched as the cool water hit his chest, even though it was quite refreshing it was still a shock to his chest area. He let his arms fall to his side giving his skin a few seconds to get use to the cool water surrounding him. He hummed to himself quietly as his body warmed up to the water. He glanced up watching the clouds drift by.

She moved with him to move deeper into the water, shuddering with the cold again. But it felt wonderful with the hot sun beating down on them. "Okay. So I want you to take my hands, and kick with your feet like this." Her fingers moved up and down in unison, her right hand fingers pointing in the opposite direction of her left hand. "Kicking hard enough to keep your body horizontal. Use me to keep yourself in one spot, as we're just going to practice your leg movement at this time."

Harlequin nodded his head before taking hold of her hands "Okay...I think I got it" he said and started floating horizontally, he took a second before he started kicking his feet following her gesture. It took him a moment or two to reorient himself before kicking his feet to keep him on the surface. "I think I got it" he said and noticing her emerald colored eyes "if it counts for anything you have beautiful eyes" he said hoping that didn't distract her too much.

She held out her hands for him to take, and dug her feet into the sandy bottom to anchor herself. "Okay, ready." The female was quite impressed with how well the male was doing for being in the water for the first time. "Way to go Quin! You're a natural! Keep it up. We want to strengthen your swimming muscles! If you get tired though, practice floating. You float by being completely relaxed and un-moving." The female grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Thank you. They almost match yours! Only, yours are very shocking with your dark skin. I like it."

He grinned lightly as he kept up with kicking his feet and holding her hands "are you sure..You're okay with me using you to keep myself steady?" he asked her. He was probably a lot heavier then she was being so petite. He nodded his head "I'll keep that in the back of my mind and use it when its needed" he told her with a smile. "Your very welcome and thank you" he put in.

"Oh yes! Water makes everyone much, much lighter!" She playfully squeezed his hands. "I'm glad I'm able to help someone. Sometimes my dad makes me feel a little like he thinks I'm a child still... Do you have any family Quin?"

He nodded his head thought about it "that is a very good point" he told her and playfully but lightly squeezed her hands back "Well, if it counts for anything you are a beautiful young lady." he said before frowning lightly "If you mean family..by blood then no, I would like to have a family one day though" he put in. "do you have any family?" he asked her.

She lightly blushed and smiled sweetly, squeezing him right back. Like a little game. "I'm not all that pretty. But it feels really nice to hear those words." From other than family of course. Her father never failed to coo just how 'gorgeous' and 'perfect' his little girl was. "It's a shame you don't have any family. New and no family...that's pretty lonely. I have a huge family. I have seven aunts, four uncles, twelve cousins and one sister...and that is just from my side of the family. If you include the pae they married and the married pae's siblings..." She shook her head. "The numbers are crazy."

He smiled at her "Don't say..that..You are really pretty" he said nodding his head,at the same time wondering why she was still single but he decided not to ask that was probably too personal for her liking. "That is a large family just don't take it for granted. As for me I'm currently just alone" he put in nodding his head. "Although being alone doesn't necessarily mean its a bad thing to have but it would be nice to have a family" he told her thoughtfully.
