Jericho took a moment, thinking back to that day. He did recall the rather cryptic text message he got. Well, it wasn't that cryptic really, but it did seem strange to him at the time. He did recall feeling pretty good, but there wasn't any real big changes then that he could remember.
"I.. haven't really thought about it too much really. But.. your case is a little different than mine, isn't it? When you came back.. you still knew who you were, more or less."
Him? He had nothing.

I did. It's true. Some of me retained memory. Her eyes slit thin in amusement. I'd like to believe that is because of my astounding brainpower. But really, we'll never know.
She reached up and wrapped a tendril of his hair around her fingers, tugging on it gently. This is getting long. She mused. Is that on purpose?

"Let's just say that. You're probably the smartest person I know," Jericho grinned. At the mention of his hair, though, he paused and blinked, looking towards one of the stray locks by his face.
"Uh.I Guess? I just hadn't really thought about cutting it. Do you think I should cut it?"

Riley took a few long moments to really think about the question, before tugging the tendril of hair again. No. She murmured in resolution. I don't think you should. It looks better long. If it bothers you, you could pull it back. Hair has always been a mystery to me. How something so thin, so fragile, can group together in numbers as vast as this until suddenly- her hand wrapped slid into his hair, and tugged hard. Look how strong it is.
She fell silent for a moment, and snickered. Ah, not such a mystery after all.

Jericho waited patiently for her to give her opinion on the matter. Keep it long. He could do that. The suggestion of tying it back did make sense, since if it was going to get long, it was bound to get in his face and whatnot.
"Yeah I can do tha--oow!"
He hadn't expected the tug. It also hadn't really hurt that much. It just caught him by surprise.
"Do you ever wish you had hair?"

Hahaha. Riley's laughter felt bubbly, and light. She quieted at his question, but her face still retained an upbeat and unburdened expression. Ah, no, I don't think so. Hair does not protect me, or attack for me, or pick things up for me, or -
One of her tentacles wrapped around, slipped under his arm, and tickled him.
Well. It's just boring. And not as easy to wash. And.. no, I definitely prefer things the way they are.

Jericho grinned, then let out a light laugh as well. He squirmed lightly from her tickling tentacles, and he tried to shift away to save himself from their squirmy ticklyness.
"Okay, okay. I hear you. Though... uh.. Junko! Her hair moves and picks things up. What if you had hair like that?"

Riley kept staring at him, long and hard, for several spaced out seconds, as she considered his answer - and made him sweat a little.
But in the end her expression softened to smug amusement. No, my tentacles are superior in every way to hair. Junko may have some strength in her hair, but I am confident that they do not match my abilities. I'm pretty sure she can't cut through anything with them. One of her tentacles reached out, and poked him in the belly button.
Do you have anything like that? Something that another might have, something you wish you could obtain.

Jericho let out a breath as he hadn't offended her. Though, her question had him considering for a few moments. "Well for one, I wouldn't mind being able to fly again! But... as far as something that I can't really have.. I guess it'd be nice to be able to summon a weapon like the reapers can. That has to be kinda handy."

Mmm, I agree. I was never a fan of weapons, but nowadays, perhaps..
She brushed the thought aside, as it was starting to obsess within her mind, and she didn't want to burden Jericho with her newfound desires. So you haven't figured out how to fly yet, then? She reached out, running her fingers deftly down the length of his wings. I'm sure you've been practicing. Do you want some help? I don't fly in the same way as you, but you taught me to fly nonetheless. I remember the differences. Perhaps, at the very least, I can keep you up there as you attempt. I must be good for something.

Jericho shook his head. "I've been working on it. But... I haven't really nailed it down yet. I can use my wings to boost a jump. I can't stay airborne for long though," he admitted while rubbing the back of his neck. "If you want to help me.. I'd appreciate that."

Riley was on her feet the moment he said 'if you want'. By the time he finished talking, she was already holding her hand out, preparing to leave. We'll go at once. Staying airborne, I believe, is a matter of practice once you're up there.. and that I can most certainly assist you with. Did her voice sound just a touch excited? There was a vibration to it, one that matched the quickening of her heartbeat. She was looking forward to this.
