☣ Once the light turned green, Mari began to cross the street towards the shoe shop, wondering if she should purchase a new pair for herself as well. If she was going to hunt down the dragon balls, she would need to be ready for anything ... or else. A bleak look flashed over her face before she was pulled back to reality, looking at #7 she smiled. "My major was in Scientific Engineering and my minor was in physics, with a few of my free courses being in paranormal and culinary." she said simply approaching the door to the shop, pulling on the handle she pulled the door open for #7 to go through first when she was ready. "I invented this super cool Ice-cream machine for my final project when I graduated."

🛠 'Scientific Engineering?!' #7 asked, a look of shock and awe on her face. "That was my field of study too! My minor was in biology though, but still, what a coincidence" she smiled for the first time. When her passion was the subject of conversation was when she left that shell of hers. Stepping through the door Mari held, she was interested in what made her ice cream machine "super cool". But thinking about graduation projects got her thinking about her own. Of course she couldn't remember what it was, but maybe if she kept thinking about it... "U-Um, so...shoes..." Getting back to why they were here in the first place, she started looking around at what they had on display. "I'm...not sure what to get..." After all, she didn't know what clothes Mari had for her, but she would like it to match if possible.

☣ Mari grinned learning that 7 had gone into the same field as herself and followed her into the store. "One of my teachers encouraged me to do the whole biology thing, tried it and fell asleep in class so I went for physics and other random stuff to fill in my credits." Mari explained before the subject returned to shoes. "Oh, so well most of my clothes, even my old ones are more monochrome with pops of color. So I would suggest black or gray shoes that you can change the laces on when you want a change, and something that will withstand what ever you are going to be doing." Mari said picking up a pair and examining the sole. "Like for hiking you don't want something with a smooth texture, or else you will slip." she said, then caught herself explaining it all like it were a science project, shaking her head. "Pretty much, go for comfort and overall coverage for the situation." she said putting down the shoe she had in her hands to keep browsing the others.

🛠 Monochrome with pops of color...kind of like what Mari was already wearing. So #7 began looking for something that might match the outfit her generous benefactor wore. She went around picking up shoes keeping in mind the quality, but also the price. They only needed to be sturdy and well suited for running and perhaps combat. A lot of that is what she anticipated in her near future. Perhaps if she found someplace off the radar to stay, there could be less running. Something like the pair of black ankle boots she now held in her hands. They seemed to be multi-purpose and not at all bad looking either. "These look nice..." she gave a half smile as she held them up for Mari to see.

☣ Mari was looking at athletic shoes thinking of what she may need for her up coming treasure hunt. Something good for possibly rock climbing, running, would be breathable if she were to go trudging through a swamp. That last option sent a shiver up her spine, she hated bugs and swamps were swarmed with them. As she started to look for her size for the pair of black and hotpink tennis shoes she had been looking at #7 had showed her a pair of ankle boots. "Oooo those are cute, and look like they would handle any sort of terrain." Mari said with a smile before looking back at the shelf and grinned seeing her size on the bottom of the shelf. "And I found myself some shoes too! So one we check out we just need to stop one other place and then we can head back to my place."

🛠 While she was looking for shoes, it appeared Mari had found herself some as well. Being approved of her boots, #7 would hold onto them until it was time to check out. She mentioned stopping somewhere else, though she had no problem with that. The woman did mention having a stop to make prior to coming here; most likely what she was doing before nearly running into her. She wasn't too familiar with the shops around here anymore so she didn't have a clue where she was going. "What store is it?" she asked, honestly curious. If they truly were alike, #7 hoped it was a tech shop; she'd love to take a look around and see what was new.

☣ Walking towards the check out, Mari stood inline behind the other customers of the shop, waiting for her turn to pay for the shoes that #7 and herself had chosen. The other had asked where else they needed to stop. "I just need to go to the gadget store down the road, I think they have large sized digital watches there as well as fishing radars." she said quietly. "I'm working on a project for a friend." she stated as she pulled her wallet out of her back pocket. Taking a glance at the price of the shoes in her hand as well as the shoes that #7 was holding on, doing quick math in her head as she counted out Zeni. "It should only take a few minutes in the store and then a twenty minute drive back to my place." she said pulling money out of her wallet before tucking it back into her back pocket. Now next in line for check out.

🛠 So she was right! Well that was something she could look forward to. From her "grocery list", it seemed like she was trying to make a sensor of some sort. "A project for a friend?" she repeated aloud. Come to think of it, she was also working on a project. No, it wasn't her graduation project; it was when she was working for the lab. She was just on the cusp of remembering; however, her train of thought was broken when Mari spoke to her. "W-What? Oh..." A twenty minute drive? While she could fly, she much preferred to drive. The less she relied on her unwanted gifts, the better.

☣ "Yea, I'm sure he will like it once it's all completed... It's gonna take a while to finish though." she said before walking up to the counter with the items they were going to purchase. Placing the money on the counter with the items. As the cashier rang up the items, Mari waited for the female to give her change for the items. Once the transaction was done, the cashier put the two boxes of shoes into a large bag passing it to Mari with her change. "You two have a wonderful night now."
"Thank you, you too." Mari said as she began to walk out of the shop, waiting by the door for #7.

🛠 #7 handed the boots over to Mari so she could pay for them and chose to wander the store while she went up to the counter. It felt a little weird being helped this much or perhaps just unusual. In light of her situation, running into Mari was a blessing; she doubted anyone else would help her this much out of the kindness of their heart. Perhaps... No, she was sure the woman had no ulterior motives, at least she hoped not. That said, such a kind person shouldn't get dragged into her mess. 'Just a couple more minutes. Then I'm gone' she told her herself, spacing out while staring at a pair of shoes. Once the pinkette was heading out the door, she would followed suit to their next stop. On the way, she decided to go ahead and ask Mari about what was bugging her. "Um... Not to be ungrateful...or inconsiderate, but... Why are you doing all this for me? I mean...I'm just a stranger, aren't I?" Perhaps she should've stopped there, but now that she started speaking, she really wanted to know. "I've been having memory problems and some things are a little fuzzy or not there at all. Are we friends and maybe I forgot you? I'm sorry if I did..." #7 trailed off.

☣ Mari looked over at the other girl as they walked down the side walk. #7 had asked why she was helping, Mari didn't really know why to be honest. "Not a single clue as to why I am helping... I mean, I know I haven't met you before, and yea you are a stranger. I think it has to do with the weird feeling I get about you. I just can't put my finger on it, but it intrigues me. Aaaaand I dont really have any friends." she said the last part with a small laugh as she strolled down the street her hands folding around the handles of the shopping bag behind her back. "Or maybe it's my current project that I am doing for my friend, and sleep deprivation and planning has made me loopy, or it was the weird ice cream I made last night with Pickles and Peanut butter, there could be many factors, but none that I can pinpoint at this time." She said before stopping in front of the sports shop. "Last stop and then home, give me a minute to grab what I need and we can take off."

🛠 So much for that theory; although, perhaps it was a good thing that she didn't forget anyone- at least to her knowledge. It was just so that she distinctly remembered not having any friends, so there was a good chance that was true. Still, Mari didn't really have an explanation for her act of random kindness. #7 wondered- well she had a good idea what about her gave the woman a weird feeling. Could she honestly tell she wasn't...normal? Then again, it likely could have been for the many reasons Mari stated to explain her bizarre behavior. "I see... I guess so..." In any case, it didn't make the android feel any better; part of her was hoping for something, rather than nothing. #7 kept her gaze on the ground, rubbing her arm again as she did some more self reflecting. Coming to a stop at a store, she lifted her head and looked at the sign on top. A sports store? Weren't they going to a gadget shop? "U-Um...okay. Is it alright if I wait out here?" she asked.

☣ "Yea, I'll be back in a second." Mari said when the other asked if she could wait outside. Zipping through the store she went straight for the fishing section grabbing two different fish radars she had done some research on, the only thing she hadn't researched was the watches. Looking over the different kinds of diver's watches, she grabbed three; one had a large face on it, one was large and digital with the buttons on the sides, and the other was a combination of digital and analogue. Taking her items to the counter she paused seeing some pocket watches sitting on the shelf with the rest of the clearance items. She added two of them to her pile of items and the clerk stared at her. "I take it you loose your watches a lot? While fishing?" the clerk asked staring at all the watches. "Sure we will go with that." Mari said pulling out her wallet once more, somewhat annoyed with the clerk for his guessing game.
☣ Paying for her items she walked out the front door of the store and back towards #7. "All done!" she said triumphantly with the bags in her hands. "Boring shopping is over and time to build and probably blow s**t up!" she said laughing, starting to slowly walk towards the car once again.

🛠 #7 nodded to Mari, watching her disappear into the shop. The moment they were separated, she began looking around the city and the passing cars. Some people were looking at her for her odd clothing no doubt, but she did her best to ignore it. Well it was actually easier for her to ignore it when her paranoia distracted her. Her worried thoughts of "what ifs" and wondering if she should just run. After all Kannia had done, running now would be awfully rude but better that than the girl ending up dead. #7 shook away the thought when Mari finally came back out. Letting out a sigh of relief, perhaps too soon when the woman mentioned blowing stuff up. "Wh-What? Blow stuff up?!" she asked as she followed behind. What exactly was she building for her friend?

☣"It's kinda a hazard of my job,
most of my inventions blow up in my face once or twice before I finally get it right. My Ice Cream Machine blew up eighteen times before I finally turned in the finished project." she said with a smile. "It's why I live outside city limits, so stupid kids don't come and putz with things in my yard and get hurt." Rounding the corner to the parking lot where her car was, she dug her keys out of her pocket and unlocked the doors. "I have yet to destroy my house so that is a plus." Opening the back door she added more bags to the back seat, before closing the door once more. "Hop on in, it won't take to long to get there."
