Jordan rolled his eyes and muttered, "More like a Sith Lord." He flipped the phone shut and gathered up his notes and the volumes with the most pertinent information, leaving the rest of the stack of books on the table with a silent apology to whatever poor sucker was reshelving today.
He arrived at the portal about ten minutes later with his mission bag over his shoulder and a set of barrier daggers sheathed on his belt. No telling what kind of spaces they'd be exploring, and if they had to fight he wanted to be ready for all eventualities.
He padded over to give Rep a brief kiss by way of greeting (sorry, Al, no ******** given), then held up the books and said, "Here's the best of what I could find. Al, let me see what you've got - I think you took one of the books I wanted to look at."

Al stared at the men as they kissed in mild shock. He didn't seem to hear Jordan's request at first, still staring in a sort of silent horror he couldn't help. Then life seemed to return to his face, though he would not look either man in the eye right now, "I-I... uh...," He looked to the ground as he offered Jordan his massive pile.
"Here?"

Rep stared at his phone for a bit at Harrison's text.
Quote: FYI, Mark can read what you send me.
He thought about it and added regardless.
Quote: You are the worst. That's no even fair. Get over to the portals before I have to come find you.
As Jordan arrived, he pocketed his phone and gave the other man a very silly doting smile for the kiss. He followed the thread of conversation to Al. "Aye he got ******** enthusiastic."
He narrowed his eyes though at Al's discomfort, the smile from mere moments before fading.

To Rep fyi if he is reading over your shoulder he knows the risks Quote: tell him to avert his eyes for the next one Quote: or not if we r gearing up. It was business time. Or as close to business as they got around here.Harrison went to get his jacket, bandaids, and daggers. He started to grab his mission boots, and had some doubts. ...Should he have on quick-dry s**t? Or swim trunks? He had a moment of conflict. They were doing some kind of scuba s**t, and Rep wanted to meet him in the Arctic...? Whatever. He settled for a t-shirt, swimtrunks, and sneakers. His balls wouldn't freeze off waiting in the snow for five minutes.
When he showed up, it was in summer gear with a huge grin on his face.
It'd been a while since their last excursion, and the lure of making some actual money this time was strong.
Plus, he hadn't seen Rep in about two days and it felt like it had been a ******** month.
"Heyyyyyyy. Bringing a bigger party this time?" He asked, steering the grin to Jordan too. "Where's Mark?"

Rep was almost disappointed he didn't get the picture that Harrison mentioned, but it was short lived, alleviated by the arrival of the moon hunter on the scene. Once again poor Al got subjected to a display of greeting as Rep sidled over to give Harrison a rather inappropriate kiss. It had been two days, that was practically forever. Untangling himself before it became an issue he nodded. "Aye! Might aswell completely destroy the place man." he gestured over to Al and Jordan. "We even have a book club. Mark though says he'll show up. I'm counting that he will."
He headed over to the portal to key in the location that had been set and flicked it on.
"Once you guys are happy we know what we are heading into, just say the word and we'll head out."

Al might have died of fright for a few seconds at the display of affection.

Jordan rolled his eyes amiably at Al. "You better get used to it," he said, not unkindly, "because it's going to keep happening." Not on actual missions - they were more professional than that, usually - but in general, anyway. And it had been two days since he and Harrison had seen their fiance.
He scanned through the books that Al had brought and picked out several more. "You got a good selection here. We're looking for stuff that has some relation to Arthurian myth, specifically Percival, and can I just restate that if I find out that we're messing with the Grail or the Ark I reserve the right to call a halt for further investigation before touching the thing?" The last part was directed at Rep.
He put the books into his bag and set the other ones neatly aside. "All right, I'm ready."

Mark's face floated from the ethereal mass of the portal, just his face.
"I see you, nothing escapes my gaze." He waved mysterious wiggly fingers, which also appeared jutting out of the portal mass. It was a wonder as to exactly how he was even able to enter from the same portal that the Hunters were supposedly exiting from. One portal fits all had a new sort of meaning here.
He seemed pretty nonchalant as he finally moved out of the glowing vicinity with a slight pop. "So, where are we going, are we going to find that holy grail and stuff? I could sure use another one after that last disaster, geez never bring unappreciative ladies, they're just jealous man."

Al continued his horrified staring at Jordan, it wasn't like Harrison and Rep just took turns cramming their tongues down each others throats or anything.
Easier said than done, Jordan. A lot easier said than done.
Al's horrified look shifted to the new arrival. Somehow a disembodied head and fingers were less frightening than that. He finally closed his mouth and just frowned at the addition. Hopefully he wasn't going to make out with Rep too.

Rep gave Jordan the most indulgent smile. "Fiiiine, if we see any grails or arks, you can call the shots on how it goes. Cross my heart." he exaggeratedly crossed himself with a roll of his eyes, he doubted even if he hadn't promised he'd have been allowed to let a grail quest slide.
He was about to say more when Mark chose that moment to scare the bejeezus out of him by talking from the portal. There was nothing particularly dignified about the way he jumped about a foot into the air with a yelp. "******** sake Mark, dont' do that. And we are going to Halloween to try and find a portal that isn't full of nasties, will drown us, get us eaten by elves or end us up in some ******** netherrealm."
He eyed the portal machinery pensively in case it might take them somewhere else entirely now Mark had touched it, but there was no real other way to find out than to enter.
"Right. Let's go." He shot Al a glare. "And in future stop ******** gawking."
And with that, he strode into the open portal and dissapeared.

Being swept up into a breathtaking kiss had been low on Harrison's expectation list once he figured out this was a regular business adventure instead of a business adventure date.
Not that he complained any.
The kiss was as warm and enthusiastic as the grin.
Seeing Al's horror, he gave him a wink.
"Ready for your second mission ever, kid?"
Questing wasn't the Sahara, but it would be if Al wasn't quick on the Deus Ex Machina trigger. ...Someone had explained how pendants worked to him, right?

Al gave them all a sulky look before following into the portal with a pout. He was not ready for any of this, okay. [EXIT]

It was probably best not to comment on any of those statements. Jordan just shook his head and stepped through the portal.
