Small, quiet, deadly. Ja'kki's eyes lit with passion as she successfully navigated their obstacle course. Emerath may be bright, but their small size put both girls at a distinct advantage in this first day of training. Ja'kki could only hope that she'd be put to the test, and maybe that she'd get to work with the rest of the Bolts this time. It was stupid that they'd been split. How did Keller expect them to work as well as they did if he placed them with idiots?

They were a team. Even without V'i and L'roh. They were still The Bolts.

It seemed like the entire Wherhold was gearing up for... something. S'dekai honestly wasn't sure what, but the mixture of tension and excitement in the air was palpable. They were offering training in various skills, and with some degree of trepidation S'dekai joined in.

It helped that S'dekai was both Hold-born and completely average in appearance. All he needed to do was take off his knots and change the way he walked, and suddenly he was no one. Being a bronzerider had done nothing in particular to his ego or the way he carried himself; if anything, joining the Revolution had turned him from a boisterous young man into a quiet and subdued one. He vanished into a crowd because it was safer not to be seen.

Stealth was a bit more difficult - S'dekai would rather be trying to blend in broad daylight rather than trying to skulk through the dark. Moving lightly over gravel or through echoing spaces felt too much like sneaky assassin work. He did rather well at first simply by virtue of taking it slow and patient, rather than trying to rush through the obstacle course for the best time. But he moved on rather quickly after knocking something over and causing enough clatter to make the instructor frown at him.

Tools were hit-and-miss. He liked the ropework. Knots were easy and pleasant. The rest... He didn't even touch the poisons and explosives.

Canoake had eagerly signed up for training. Though she wasn't sure if she would be sent out, it didn't hurt to have useful skills like those being offered. The slight Threadburn that Tatath had suffered had healed quite nicely and even now, both enjoyed reliving their bravery.

Her first attempt at disguise had gone much better than some of the males present. One of the advantages of being female and working in the lower caverns, you knew how to blend in to the walls. She had forgone her normal colorful clothing and went with more subtle, dull browns and grays. No jewelry, no bangles or scarves, and her hair was tied back in a simple braid. "How do I look, Tatath?"

The green sighed.

Canoake chuckled and turned towards a couple of the other riders. Their attempts were less than successful. She wasn't sure if she should say anything though her tongue was in cheek and her eyes sparkled with amusement.
