C'tis - Day one, Stealth training. 12, 53, 83 Disguise: 83 Stealth: 12 Tools: 53 --------------------------
C'tis was a fairly large man and fairly distinctive thanks to the livid scar across his face, but he was also a Harper. He knew how to put on an accent, affect different mannerisms and had used make-up to change his appearance in the past. He was still big, but with careful work the scar could be covered or altered well enough so that at a casual look an average person would describe it very differently or not mention it.
Stealth... not so great. Once again, C'tis was big. He was agile enough, yes, but quiet? Subtle? Not so much. At least he picked up on using the 'tools of the trade' relatively well. He was no genius at it but he was good enough, and ready to face the next day with some confidence.

Kleos - Day one, Stealth training. 85, 72, 54 Disguise: 54 Stealth: 85 Tools: 72
--------------------------
Pale hair took well to dye, and was easily covered by a wig to give an entirely different effect. Pale skin could be made up to look more tan, and even the scarring on her face could be reasonably well covered. Kleos however remained uncomfortable with the whole affair, she wasn't much good at pretending to be somebody she wasn't. Nevertheless she perceived and her efforts were rewarded well enough.
Stealth however she could do. She was naturally quite light on her feet and her relatively lithe build suited itself to picking a careful path around the course. She could feel Moriath's pride in her performance on that score and was rather proud of herself too.
When it came time to look at the devices they would be using.... Poison. She couldn't abide poison and almost refused to listen to the information about it at all. The rest however she found rather fascinating, and as a practical woman of practical skills she did quite well in following the basic instructions they were given.

F'itz - Day one, Stealth training. 87, 39, 99 Disguise: 99 Stealth: 39 Tools: 87
--------------------------
Nobody had ever accused F'itz of being distinctive. He was rather forgettable to look at, an average older man with grey hair and light-ish eyes. This made him a perfect blank canvas, and he actually quietly had quite a lot of fun trying out painted on tattoos and the like.
His success with stealth was less resounding to say the least. His performance wasn't abysmal but he wasn't exactly as flexible as the youngbloods who seemed to surround him. Introverted and composed as ever however the brownrider persevered without complaint until instructed to call it a day. He would never be good at moving about quietly but perhaps he would at least avoid causing a disaster.
Returning to something that required thought rather than light feet was reassuring; he listened well to the instructions on the purpose of each item and how to use them, and performed well during the practice sessions. At the end of the day he was quietly satisfied with his performance and would admit as much if asked, though he was hardly striding out to brag about it.

Wen Training Day One Stealth training Disguise: 2 Stealth: 100 Tools: 85
"One, no one can see my scars because they are hidden when I'm properly dressed." Wen crossed his arms, irritably staring down his teacher and nose wrinkled at the smell of both the thick gunk they called cosmetics and the hair dye and scissors. "Two, my hair has always been this long. It isn't getting cut, it can fit under a hat or I'll just shove it down my shirt. Three, I'm not dyeing my hair."
He had never bother with disguise before, and he wasn't going to start now. He didn't need a disguise if he managed to keep out of sight. "I'm also short. You can't change short." He wasn't changing his hair, or skin, or anything. If they kept pressing, Cat would leave something unpleasant in their quarters.
Stealthy or sneaking was a breeze, he had spent most of his childhood learning to sneak up on people and the skill crossed over on various terrain. He even cheekily removed part of the course and slipped it into his boot. He returned it, later.
Wen knew knots, he knew blades both had been taught and blades were his preferred weaponry. A sword had to be a certain length to keep him from being swung by it, it was easier to keep with his throwing knives. Explosives were new and thrilling and poisons while know a bit were less so. There was just something dirty about using poisons.

V'lay, Day One - Stealth Disguise: 91 Stealth: 49 Tools: 95
---
V'lay was quiet as he worked. He had nothing to prove, really. Trine was doing whatever it was Trine did; in the turn V'lay had been at the Weyr he had associated with non-Benden riders only as often as he needed to. Still, he was making a point to ally with them this time. The rumblings in the Weyr were of action at Malvren, action at Benden - action against the riders. That was what he wanted - vengeance. If V'lay had to murder a few wherholders, he would murder a few wherholders. Whatever it took to get Benden back.
He wasn't a particularly-notable man, anymore. The act of obscuring his features was quick, simple - a bit of dirt into the scars, hair tied up and away, or left down. He wore others' clothes without effort. There was little enough to it, and even Vinath consented to V'lay rubbing him down with soot and charcoal in places, obscuring his dappled hide with thick patches of black. They could pass as stranger dragons - in confusion, there wouldn't be much effort. That was easier than stealth; V'lay was heavy, walked with a thick step. No, sneaking wasn't going to be his modus operandi in any sense.
But it was with the death-dealers he excelled. Sitting quietly, tying knots, investigating poisons and learning how to put things together, all of them felt simple. Poisons were plant-based, and V'lay knew plants - no Healer, but certainly enough to understand why what he was using was working. As for explosives...they were new, but he was happy to learn, and keeping his head down as he worked to assemble some of the more interesting packages, he allowed himself the glimmer of a smile. Maybe after this, he'd be able to sleep at night, knowing he had hurt the people who had taken his home.

Cai wasn't feeling it. She REALLY wasn't feeling it. Yes she'd volunteered for this dimglowed mess, why she wasn't really sure, but she'd expected her current skills to be put to use. She didn't think they'd force her and others to run around in the woods like shaffing children, or that she'd be subjected to cosmetics AGAIN.
In truth, even if you could disguise her physically, nothing was going to make Cai not act like Cai. She was perfectly incapable of pretending to be anything or anyone she wasn't. She wasn't in this for games though. The technical training, particularly in poisons, was far more interesting than anything else she'd been subjected to today.
This experience was making her desire to go home stronger. Which in the end is what kept her going through the first day's training.

It was unfortunate that Felix had decided to deck himself out in piercings and wear his hair in such a memorable fashion. He didn't have time to grow it out long enough to cover his tattoo, nor was he able to take certain piercings out without having to re-do them later on. A hat can only hide so much.
This was unfortunate because he showed a surprising aptitude for disguising how he moved and was able to even revert his accent to that of his island home of Namor. If it weren't for his appearance, he'd have been able to slip into Malvren with no trouble whatsoever.
Felix wasn't all that bothered by it. Though he signed up, the ideas and tactics being taught didn't sit well with him. It didn't feel right to do things this way.

Rolling for Jemi.. *Curious* Training Day One Stealth training Disguise:45 Stealth: 37 Tools: 60
Stealth had never been Jemi strong suit. She had always been more forward, in your face, knee meet nose type of girl. Disguises, moving silently was not her strength. Now, explosions, she could get behind. She liked the way the powder smell, how it felt, how it had a sort of warmth to it and the way it exploded with a bit of cord and a small bit of fire. Bang !
