Damn, the rust was really wearing off, and fast. She was pretty sure that at the moment she was sorely losing this little battle of theirs. Zuri moved out of the way of Antiope's air attack, though it still hit her pretty hard in the arm. Another bruise in the morning no doubt. "Kill you? Nah just trying to get warm again!" she said with a laugh as she prepared once again to attack.

Antiope pulled another water attack out at her opponent, but her felt something pull in her shoulder. One of Zuri's earlier attacks was starting to kick up a fuss. She winced and her water attack went wide. "Oops"
She rubbed her shoulder and laughed, "I guess I'm a little more beat up than I gave you credit for!" She called out as she regained her stance. Hopefully her shoulder was just a little blip in her attacks.

Luckily Zuri missed Antiope's next water attack, she didn't want to get any more wet then she already was, but it was more because of Antiope then anything else. She then went in for her attack.
"Believe me, your not the only one!" she said with a laugh. What she wouldn't do for her old fur clothing right then and there. She knew that Antiope was going to be a good partner to practice with, and if things kept going like that then Zuri had a chance at winning this thing!

Lucky for Antiope her shoulder wasn't giving her any more problems yet. She spun away from Zuri's attack and flung out another burst of air at her opponent. She aimed the air to attack a quarter-sized area of Zuri's shoulder. By pulling the air in tighter it made the hit harder, rather than hitting a spread out area. Feeling more like a punch than a gust of wind. It took more effort, but it would be more effective.
She smiled at Zuri. "I hope I'm not hurting you too much."

Zuri managed to only allow the the air to gaze her, but it was so powerful that it hurt a lot more then she expected. Thankfully it wasn't her spear arm! When Antiope asked if she was hurting her too much Zuri nodded. "Nothing that I won't learn from and heal from." she said with a smile. It seemed although Zuri was attacking well, Antiope was even better at dodging her attacks! It was a little frustrating.

Antiope amped up for another attack, flinging ice crystals at Zuri with force. This battle had definitely turned around, and Antiope felt like she was all warmed up and limber again. This was good practice. She would need to keep from getting rusty more regularly in the future. Healing was good and all, but she needed to be able to help her people if something happened.
She was nearly bouncing with energy after this next attack. Magic filled her with a rush of adrenaline that she couldn't shake for hours afterward.

There was no way that those ice crystals were going to hit Zuri again! She would freeze if she did. As Antiope's attacks were getting better Zuri was getting better at dodging them, and luckily this one just missed her. However hoping to catch Antiope off guard Zuri went for the attack right after the crystals missed her body, hoping that Antiope had to wait at least a few seconds to cast another spell.

Antiope ducked back and jumped out of the way just in time to miss Zuri's attack completely. She truly was having fun and now that she was in the swing of things, she could confidently laugh in pleasure.
She launched another bust of air at Zuri to counter, the motion between dodging and countering becoming more fluid the more they fought.

"Whoa!" Zuri had dodge Antiope's attack and had launched herself into another round of attacks while Antiope was off guard. She stumbled backward and the spear made contact with her thigh. She hit the ground with a thud to her rear and stood as quickly as she could. She had gotten a little too excited there.
She used the time she had left to concentrate on her next move. Zuri wouldn't catch her off guard again.

Zuri laughed, although Antiope had missed most of her attack she didn't miss all of it. But when she saw the girl fall she almost went to go help her up, but before she could do anything Antiope got back up herself and Zuri smiled. "I didn't think you were one to stay on the floor anyway." she said with a laugh.

Antiope gave a light-hearted scoff as Zuri dodged yet another of her attacks. She lunged in time to miss Zuri's counter and let loose another round of ice shards.
This battle was becoming more of a dance the more the two got used to the other. It was definitely an uptempo song to dance to, but it was catchy and starting to wear Antiope out.

This was fun, but it was clear that they were starting to understand each other much more then they did in the beginning. Antiope dodged her attack, and then sent one back that Zuri then dodged! Her stomach rumbled. She was getting hungry. "I didn't know we were practicing for a dance." she said with a good natured laugh before going towards Antiope again. Hopefully this time she would make her mark!
