Captain Osumilite couldn't help but grin a bit at the sight of Sailor Thyone. Now why wasn't the Negaverse recruiting more gorgeous adult women like her? And her uniform helped make quite the impression. "Well, Sashsa Fierce, maybe you and I will have to get a drink later," he opened with a wink. Cheesy? Probably. Shameless? Entirely. "I've been filming for a few months now, though trying to get agents to come by the abandoned district of the city to talk about their experiences is proving challenging, even if I do supply food and drink - yes, alcohol." He stated the last word a bit loudly, hoping the promise of booze in his project would appeal to those missing it at the meeting. "I'm gathering stories - the truth about who we are, the ones protecting this planet - and what kind of violent terrorists the Senshi are, who pose a threat to our existence," he continued. "Any voices and perspectives are able to contribute, not everyone has been as...eloquent as you could be, I'm sure. Once I've got the footage I need, I'll have it edited and broadcast to show the world the truth." "Does that sound like something that would interest you?" he questioned.

"Flatterer," Thyone purred, one manicured hand squeezing the suit-clad bicep of the tall, rather dashing captain. She was of age, and the lure of liquor wasn't as strong as it might've been to the rag tag group of teenagers the negaverse called its army. If she wanted a lovely glass of wine, she only needed to go to her flat and open one up.
Still, the offer wasn't unwelcome. "I may be able to do you one better, Mr. Swagger." Her polished grin was nothing short of devilish. "The endorsement of a city councilwoman."
And perhaps they could do such an interview in a nicer place. She wasn't too keen on a derelict building, and that was without knowing the cameraman was rotting.

Engage mirror wraiths if found to be hostile, but do not fight with their rightful masters the Dark Mirror Senshis at all cost. Point taken.
Nodding his head in Buddingtonite's direction at the redhead's exit, Amethyst found himself faced with having to make a decision at this point. To stay and make an attempt at mingling with his fellow officers who were mostly well acquainted with one another already, or beat a hasty retreat on the pretext of having an appointment later in the day so as to avoid feeling out of place.
He was mulling over his options when he saw the General who had earlier identified himself as Ilmenite before making the announcement about the availability of an alternative housing arrangement courtesy of General-King Zinkenite. He didn't need another roof over his head for sure but the notion of having to gather energy from civilians was something that still weighed heavily in his mind since he lacked the knowledge of how he should go about it. And no, he certainly didn't want to be among the first to experience firsthand what punishment awaited them when they failed to meet their quota.
With his mind made up, the blond Lieutenant made his way over, clearing his throat softly to get the other's attention the moment he was available and not in the middle of a conversation with another officer. "General Ilmenite. Sir?" He tried to keep a confident poise in him, back straight yet with his head tilted downwards slightly as a mark of respect for the higher ranked officer, waiting with trepidation for the other to acknowledge his presence before going on with what he had in mind.

When was the last time anyone had called him sir? Ilmenite blinked, at the term, and half-turned to peer down at the young Lieutenant in a bemused sort of way. He would have expected the overly-casual announcement to leave them rolling their eyes, not halfway to saluting as they approached.
His eyes slid sideways to the surrounding Officers, just to see if anyone else had witness that. Someone he could point Zinkenite to, late, for proof.
He smiled as he saluted the young man, and it was teasing on both accounts, neither professional nor terribly respectful to anyone's position -- including his own. "Sorry, I have no clue what your name is, Lieutenant...?"

Remember to breathe Amethyst. Turning blue and then fainting from lack of oxygen in front of your superior is among one of the strict no nos right here and now in this setting. He had to consistently remind himself of that even though he found it kind of hard after witnessing firsthand the earlier exchange of words between Buddingtonite and General-Queen Apatite.
"Amethyst, Sir. One of the newest recruits from the recent Hunger Games marathon." There. That hadn't gone too bad if the General was still smiling his way though he was now beginning to wonder if he might be overdoing things a little with the look that some of the other officers around them were directing his way.
Taking a fraction of a second to compose himself, he saluted the General then went straight on to state the purpose for his approaching him directly. "I was wondering if I could have a moment of your time please to go through the specifics on energy collection, seeing as it is something new that wasn't covered during my orientation." A small pause before he added on as an afterthought. "It doesn't have to be today if you have a tight schedule to attend to after this."
It would be unreasonable and terribly rude if he was hoping that Ilmenite would be able to take him up on this straight after the meeting at such short notice. At any rate, he was still very eager to be educated on the know hows of this so that he could have a better idea as to how best he could fit this additional responsibility into his own schedule.

Still, so professional; it threw Ilmenite a bit off-balance, enough to drive the smile out of him and leave him more thoughtful. His hand slid up through his hair, instead, while he looked the young recruit over. It meant silence for long enough to make him nervous, perhaps. "...do you drink?" And that probably wasn't the best follow up, was influenced by the discussion to his left. Ilmenite rolled his shoulders, slowly. "It's easier shown than said, so. Tomorrow night? I know a couple bars, they're a good setting..."

Having made his request, Amethyst waited with an expectant look on his face, polite smile entirely in place as he mentally counted away the number of seconds it took for Ilmenite to accept or refute it. It was an unnerving experience really, watching the shift in expression on the other's face like this. He was taking a little too long for something as simple as this though he dared not think aloud for fear of being reprimanded by the General himself.
And that was when the question came. Seemingly out of the blue and not entirely relevant which caught him by surprise for a bit before he wasted no time in supplying Ilmenite with the requested information. "Not on a regular basis. But I can hold my own for a couple of glasses." The General probably saw or anticipated the unspoken question as to the purpose behind that seemingly rhetorical question for it was practically written all over his face, the explanation following next along with another related question.
"Tomorrow's fine. What time and where should I meet you then?" He wasn't on the roster for night duty at the hospital tomorrow so that was as good a time as any so long as he made sure that he finished the day's work and left for home on the dot as far as possible. "Um... any specific dress code?" What he actually meant was if he was expected to turn up in his powered up form and one could only hope that Ilmenite was astute enough to pick up on that since he knew not how better he could phrase it to get his doubt across.

"A city councilwoman?" Osumilte cocked a brow with even more interest than before. Beautiful, mature, well-spoken and a resourceful contact? Perhaps the Negaverse's recruitment tactics were shaping up after all. "Well then I will definitely need to sit down with you for an interview. Support from both of your identities, both public and private, could be just the thing this project needs as insurance." "Shall we arrange a meet, then?"

"Uniform is required, because we can't do much out of it, and, uh." Pointedly, Ilmenite patted the front of his jacket, his buttons, his pockets, and flashed the nervous Lieutenant a grin as he did. Pale eyebrows raised in question, his tone was somewhat joking, somewhat teasing, but hopefully friendly enough not to set him on edge. "You have a pad of paper and a pen or something, or will you just remember the address if I give it to you?"

"Roger that General." That was a stupid question on his part and Amethyst knew it as he barely managed to stop himself from apologizing out of a force of the habit, a questioning look entering his gaze when he observed Ilmenite's behaviour next. Did he lose something? Just when he was opening his mouth to ask if there was something he could help him with, he closed it immediately at the posed question. Oh. So that was what that had been all about.
"As a matter of fact, I do have those." Smiling brightly at his own foresight in bringing along a notepad and pen for the meeting though he did not find any use for them subsequently, he produced them from his breast pocket then handed them over to Ilmenite to utilize as he saw fit.

The smile on the kid's face made Ilmenite shake his head a bit -- amused, not displeased, but also just a touch lost. An hour spent drinking beers and draining civilians at a bar was going to leave Amethyst shellshocked, he suspected. But he wrote down the address anyway, in his impossibly-neat school teacher handwriting, speaking as he did. "Nine-thirty, let's say, unless you have a curfew." His eyes flicked up onto Amethyst, taking him in, and it was obvious that was a dig, a joke. "Meet me about two blocks north of there, I'll find you. And I can stay out all night."

"Ah no. I don't have any curfew so that's fine." Amethyst quipped with a grin on his face, reaching for the the notepad and pen the moment Ilmenite was done writing down the address for him. It wasn't a part of Destiny City that he was familiar with so he made a note in his mind to look it up on the city map as soon as he reached home later. "Two blocks north. Alright. I'll see you tomorrow evening then. Thank you for your time, Sir."
Saluting Ilmenite one last time in all seriousness, he turned and made his way straight for the exit, eager to get started with planning his travel route for the next day lest he got distracted with something else and forgot entirely about it. He wouldn't want to lose his way en route to the bar the General had in mind after all.

That was a few too many salutes for Ilmenite, to be honest; he lingered for just another moment, shaking his head and looking around at the mostly-unfamiliar faces before slipping his way free. A drink really did sound like a good idea.
