The hand wasn't in her favor thus discarding and drawing as the only thing left for her. The nubmers didn't match and neither did the colors .. half black half red and nothign that mixed. "Slow day than?" She asked while looking over the new ones she got and wondeirng why he wans't out causing someone somwhere some misfortune, unless today was her turn. The rian was getting heavier if the slamming soudn on the roof was any indication along with cracks of lightening and a fewrolling thunder booms went off.
"I''m pretty sure you have better things to do than sit here playign cards iwht me?" She asked snese the sound of a rainstorm wasn't all good for atmeshpere.

"Preferablly yes I'd rather be elseere." Wanda didn't feel like causign a larger scene and once her and Kurt had made sure the mother and her sonhad gotten somewhre safer she felt the situaiton was lss dangerous for the time being. "So your new trade is appearing in MRD fights now?" She asked wathicng him. It had been time enough sense she had last seen him to wonder what he may ha ebeen up to and if it possed a hinderance to the Brotherhood's plans.
In the lastfive years she had seen straglers of the X-Men slowly comign togeather, soem would stay others would elave. Kurt had never seemed ot have rejoiend up wiht them depsite the other group slowly crawlign back formt he gutter.
"I still find it odd that even after five years your still not back with them. I would think they would have foudn you more or less a few times and tried. Unless they've never foudn your.. or wnted you." Her statemtn wans't intended to be cruel or hurtful but it was her observation. The old construction yard they were in offered some protection from preyign eyes and ears ut not all that much. "Or is your group acually dead this time?" She asked.

"Keyword 'Suppost'." Dazzler threw back while rearrangeing some glasses behidn the bar. "Her loss she doens't want the job I'll take the hours and her pay." When her and Toad had first realized who the other was there was a palible tension between them for very much the same reasons. Evnetually thoguh both realzied neither gained anythign form a full on fight or even killing the others thus they left one another alone more or less. Taod's occaisonl presnece int he bar wans't an issue etheir.
Reachign in her pocket and finding the caron she was looking for she removed one cigerette and put it inf rotn of him. "Don't get any ideas I feel like being nice for a change so take it and shut up about it." She said bluntly while walkign to the far end to get the drinks for an older customer who waved her over.

"Didn't know you were demoted to baby sitting." Rodue shifted while looking over her hand carefully, maybe if she was luck she might get osmethign sshe could acutally use. "Considerign you've been trying to get me to joiin for five years wiht no luck. Not evne sure what you were pulling before that when I was with the X-Men." She hadn't honeslty talked about them in nearly five years or what explosion that destroyed her old life.
The nes that servived she was certain were picking the peices of their lives up just like she was.
She had grilled Gambit demanding to know earlier on if he had somehtign to do with what happened. He always said no and depsite everything he was and even more of what he wasn't she belived him. None of the others, if any were evne alive, bothered to even look for her. If any were alive well she was done with them.

Wanda shifted with her arms over her ches. "He's fine. More or less. Pietro is .. Pietro he'll never change. But Toad's doing alright." That was enough to give him she supposed. She knew Kurt and Taod had gotten close to be freinds and surprisngly so did Scott, that was a friendship she would have never expected. She woudn't divulge any movemtns of the Brotherhood but Kurt hadproven he was far more open minded and at times understnading than many of the other X-Men.
"You've been good I hope." She caught herself sayign before she cuahgt herself. It had nealry been six months sense she had last scene him adn the time before that he had recived a nasty scar that she feared was goign to take his whole eye and part of his face. The scar she saw had healed into a light gray mrk on the right side of his face.
She told herself she was relived than and even now of his safety becuase she didn't want the MRD getting any mutants regardless of affiliation.

Dazzler bit her tongue with anger and irratation. This was whyshehated the more early hours of working here, the pigs who thaught this acted like a part time stirp club. "Sit your a** down and order or get the hell out. Before I throw your drunk a** out into the street." [And you'll hopeuflly get run over.' She kept the last part soley to herself knowing she might get into trouble form her boss, and also she knew her powers were ithcing the burn the b*****d in fornt of her.
And if he kept looking at her tits she was oging to rip his eyeballs out and make him eat them.
The other patrons didn't even look up ethier beign to durnk or not caring of the scne unfolding around them. Maybe she coudl get away with blinding him or bioling his eyes, the ones that saw would think they were just extremly durnk and forget about it in a few days.

"Considering it's you and you always have an alterior motive I'm not inclined to believe your just doing this for the sake of having a good heart." Rogue countered while still finding herself in a bad corner as far as the game was concerned. "Also didn't the last member of your guild that tired recruit me ended up dead?' She asked. She had warned him more than enough but he hadn't listned so she shiponed enough of him to leave him barley clinging to life.
She assumed Gambit's sudden and almost constant apperance was their answer to that. "So if I don't join you, you'll kill me. Is that how this will go down than?" She asked him knowing she hoenslyt stood no chance against him. His strength and speed out did hers even if she managed to shiphon somethign from him, it still woudlnt' save her.

Shrugging while keeping her arms wrapped around herself. "Well other than finding a bar to frequent now and again I suppose he's dealing with things in his own way like he always has." In all hoenslty she didnt' know Taod any better than he knew her. That wasn't uncommon in the Brotherhood actually and many members prefered ot keep it that way.
'I shouldn't even be here. Or tlaking ot him. I should be back and helping with things not ... doing this.' She thaught more bitterly to herself. Perhapes she had gotten closer than she had expected to Kurt and ther were times she didn't midn but others she did and his apperance had nothing to do with the issue.
It was his allegiances and her own.

Dazzler made no move to even check the drunken lout of the floor after Taod cracked his knee cap with no effort. "Remind me to give yu a round on the house for that." She remarked while giving the drunk on the ground a smirk feeling some amusent at his misery. Typically she would find ways to spark smeone enought o scare them off Taod had decided to take the more physical approch.
She typically found herself more attracted to the take action sort. However now days things were to complicated to think like that anymore it seemed.
Hearing someone caling an ambulance Dazzler felt her current 'medicle attention' was no longer needed and focused on Taod. "Well on top of the roudn you ca have the smokes to if you want'em." She offered.

"Please don't falter me." She remakred while finding herslef in a losing situaiton both in the card game and in the conversation. The rian was quickly getting so loud that she could barley hear herself think that or it was the ringing in her ears. Gambit had a tendancy to do that to her.
"Wonderign also when your planning on selling me out to the MRD if I don't join you." That had been a nonstop fear Gambit had proben many times he cared nothing of selling his own kind out if given enough financail insentive to do so. There was nothing sotpping him from doing so right now or in the future. Part of her wishing she was back out on her own again with him tailing her the whole time or even back in NEw York maybe finding who else possilby survived the blast. With her luck though she would find Kitty or Bobby and she still wished nothign to do with ehtier of them despite the time it had been sense their full out breka up as friends and partners.

"Well enough." Wanda replied doing her best ot hid the light pinkish hue that crept up her checks at his pet name for her. there were tiems she wished she hadn't kissed hima nd other times wihsed she'd done mor ehtan just kiss him her sitaton she foudn herself undecided in what she wanted to do or him to do. The conflict was far more common than she wished for it to be and it reached it's hieght generally in his presence but she did all in her power to keep her struggle internally.
"Not like there's much else going on anymore. Unless you count MRD encouters but I thin their quickly learning to avoid us though they always come back with bigger guns the next tiem we meet." That was more what the others reported not what she had seen herself and frnakly she didn't want to see it ehtier. "So how many of your old tema are still up and kicking anyway?" She asked hoping to turn the coversaiton, as sublty as she coud of coruse, away form her possibly slipping up and doing soehtigns tupid in his presence.

"Flirtign being nice is there really differance when you get down to it?" Dazzler asked while sweeping the broken glasses away. "And it's workign well enough don't have itme to paly it so it just colects dust now days. But yeah thanks for askign Green Bean." She threw her own little nickname ot him out. Teh first time she called him that he had looked conflicted between beign extremly offended, annoyed or laughing. He had somehow managed all three and a few more at the time.
"So you coem in here early to get extra drunk or what's going on? Pietro on his time of the month again?" She asked while rumanging around int he shelves below the bar. "Or you've foudn that you hate people of all kinds and are looking to run away and start a new life somewhere?" She joked from her place underneaht the bar top. "Or you making Tuesdays your new 'Breaking Knee Caps' day?"

Rogue at first was going to ask waht he meant than she was going to punch him for suddnely kissing her, espite how pleasent it may have felt. But hearing MRD at the door made her place a mjority of those things on the back burner for the time being. The surge she was used to when shiproing anothers powers and the memories that came with it, Gambit was getting VERY good at hiding things form her even when she shiponed him. She almost felt some degree of guilt at getting ready to reck the palce that had been her temperary home bu her survivle demanded such.
A can of tear gas came streaming into the room and a seocnd late rbegan spraying it's contents into the small space. "I almsot wish they had tried this in the open!" She said grabbign the nearest hting, a fork which she had been eating with, and throwing it in the direction of the tear gas canister. The explosion was seconds later litering the roomw ith shards of glass and splinters. Keepign her mouth and nose covered with one arm, Gambit doign the same, while knowing she coudnt run backwards there was only forward.

Wanda asked herself again and again and again why she was doing this. There was no ture reason, well none that made any true sense anyway. She felt some level of guilt lying to her father about where she was going tongiht, but han lying was better than the truth. Wanda didn't want to think what he might do to Kurt if he foudn out and that was soemhtign she woudnt let happen if she had any say in the matter. For whatever reason, at least that's what she told herself, she occasioanly braught hima few things like some small time medicine or a few things of food. She didnt doubt his ability to get it onhis own she just .. worried.
The backpack she had held a few things she thaught perhapes he might need and on her way out Pyro of all people nearly caught her. Pyro held no shame in his open and non exsistent subtly of looking her up, despite her varies thretats to him if continued. She foudn the small stream were she had told Kurt she coudl meet him and she knew he was already there. "Been waiting long?" She asked looking up in the tree were he was currelty hidding, she told herslef it wasn't odd that she knew his behavior patterns.

She was tired she was cold and she was hugnery. The stairs to her small crmaped apartment seemed higher than noraml but she chalked it up to exhaustion. Last door on the far end of the hallway that was her. Turnign the key and opening she realzied at once she had company but closed the door behind her wihtotu so much as a bristling. "So the free beer and ciggerets not good enough for ya now?" She asked with a playful smirk while removign her jacket and dropping it on a chair she kept by the door, more like her coat rack than an acutal chair.
It asn't the first time Alison came home to finding Toad in her aparmtnet but she always tensed breifly apon entering simply for realizng she had uninvted company. Toad she had littel reason to fear just becuase he wasn't the type to harm or take advantage of woment. "So I see you've gone and made yourself nice and confrontable on my coutch and aet some of my bacoon?" She asked standing beside him on the coutch and looking at the plate of crumbs that was once meat.

"I would feel a little bad leaving the party without giving them somehting for it." Rogue remarked while looking for something, anything else that ocudl be used to get htem out.Everythign was to big and heavy for the two of them to throw let alone lift so they would have to emprovise. The room was filling wiht gas and she coudl already feeling her eyes stining and beginning to tear up rapidly. "Table or chair take your pick!" She shouted gripping a small chair and charging it only to throw it at full strength at the imcomming MRD's.
Her vbision was slowly blurring from the gas and tears but she struggled and gritted her teeth to keep them open depsite the massive stinging pain that was erupting threw her eyes and skull.

"Nohting other than Pyro. Nothin unsual thee really." She replied while slidding the pack off her shoudlers and unzipping it. "Just basics really some trial mix, some hard candy .. not sure why I just sort of grabbed it honeslty and .. let's see pain killers and cans of soup." She finsihed looking threw her stolen goods to hand the bag to him. "No MD activity ethier their being surrpringly quite this week. Makes me nervous I'll admit but not complaiing aobut the peace and quite I'm getting for it." The less MRD activity meant walkign aorudn was easier, also mean that Kurt had an easier time as well. "So you mentioned you had somehting inportent to tell me?" She asked sense he had mentioned it in their last meeting and she'd be lying fi she siad she wasn't curious.

"Ah the good old give and take method eh? Fair enough." Plopping down on the couthc next to him to look at what he had stolen. "So other htan this lovley moonlit visit what brings you?" she asked before eating part of an egg roll, not exaclty her favorite but she was hungery and tired at the moment. "I'm goign to assume Pietro is being a bigger pain in your a** than normal, your tired of the other losers you hang out with or you've come to love my company that much. That last one I'm highly doubitng." The pork was good and made her sotmache feel less cramped and empty, she needed ot remeber to eat far more often though havign such a small budget well ... sacrifices were needed. Leaning heavily back on the coutch she sighed ludly feeling oddly tired her muscles ached and her midn felt foggy. "******** me someitmes I miss the X-Men hard to believe but there ya go Green Bean. I miss those losers."

"I got more of you moves than I care to admit!" Rogue bit back while launching the chair fully charge with strength that wasn't fully her own. Daring behidn Gambit wihtout a moments hesitation out the back, though making a back door with a window. The night air was suddnely freezing against her hot skin and her eyes teared and stung even worse, clenching her eyes tighlty because of the pain suddnely going threw them. She fallowed Gambits threw hearing alone though hearing the shouts of the MRD behind them made her frun faster despite not beign able to see for a few seconds.
The stinging subsided fianlly and though her vision was blurred she coudl acutlaly open her eyes wihtout squiting. "One how did they find us! Two where are we going!" She demanded while running between trees while shots were fired at both of them. The MRD woudnt get her she woulnt let them have her and part of her knew deep down Gambit wouldnt let them take her.

"Oh uh..." wanda stammered despite herself and she iwrldy wanted to hit herself in the face becuase she coudlnt hide the redness on her face, hell Kurt could see in the dark to this was practically a glowing nion sign saying 'I Like You Please Continue To Make Me Enbarassed'. "I uh don't kow uh.." She didn't want to sound like she didnt' want to it was just ....
Of course what was she afraid of? The X-Men findign out? As if she would evr be afraid of them.
"Well I mena uh we're you know alreayd here.." God she was stammerign worse than he was! "I .. don't see why not.." She said fianlly doing her best not to fiddle with her hands like a nervous little girl.

Alison suddnely felt unconfrotnle not in Toads' presnce exaclty but she felt as if she may have intruded unknowingly. "I .. don't know where anyone else is. Sorry." In all hoenslty she wans't sure who else was alive anymore she'd have to take Toad's word that Kurt was alive, what reason did he have to lie to her anyway? "MissProm Queen would have a heart attack if she knew I let you bunk here now and again! Ha!" She let out a laugh depsite herself at the thaught of Jean's face finding Toad in her aparement. "Yeah Fordge was pretty cute int hat nerdy techy way. He always got really weird whenever I tried tlaking to him though." She thaught with some amusment though she rembered that Fordge was always a bit reclussive.
"You know your the only one I ever see anymore from the old days." She said off handidly, she hadn't foudn or heard anythign oon any of the others Kurt was hte first but only threw Toad. If any were alive they clealry wanted nothign to do wiht her otherwse they woudl have foudnher by now so all she had to say to that was '******** Them'.
