Oncaro Edel's brow furrowed as the young girl floated towards her. Irritation bubbling up in her gut translated into a small flare of magical aura that began to flow around her. If she hadn't been so damn curious at who this girl was and how neither one of them seemed to know what was going on, she probably would have reprimanded the girl for... well it wasn't exactly disrespecting her, but it felt like it. "Talking like she was some badass witch"? She'd SHOW this girl "talking like she was some badass witch" if she really thought she was "talking like some badass witch". "I hate to break it to you, child... but there have been super heroes in the media since the American Government allowed them to be public figures sometime after the second World War." Edel replied. "You're not the first super hero to grace the media, and you're certainly not the first in America. In fact, there has been nothing about any super hero wearing a costume such as yours in American media. Ever. And I'm positive one of my customers from the NSHU would have informed me about the Organization fining someone like you." she said. Then Edel took a quick breath to try and calm herself down a bit. She didn't want to sound like she was annoyed at the girl. "Though you are right. Someone of your power, I should have been able to notice prior to just now when you fell into my town." she said calmly. "And you surely would have at least heard of the Imperial City. It's hidden, and mortals generally don't know about it. But... those who know that magic, elves, dragons, and other mythical creatures actually do exist... tend to know about the Imperial City. The hidden home and sanctuary to the majority of the world's magic users, magical born, and mythical creatures." she explained. "Secretive, traditional, stubborn, aristocratic, and not very tolerant of outsiders.""As for me.... I am Edel Condulmer. Witch of Fruition."

((Edel r angreh... XD)) Pendragon listened intently, but couldn't hide the sheer amount of confusion on her face as this "Edel Cundulmer" spoke to her about organizations she had never heard of and insisted that no-one had ever seen Pendragon before; when the girl herselfknew she was a media shitstorm because she'd actually seen the news herself over the past few weeks.
"Alright... There's some serious disconnect here," she said, with the Wisdom of Ceridwen working over the issue once more as she spoke. "Accordin' t' you, there's a whole group 'a magical people hidden somewhere. Now, I've only been doin' this whole 'superhero' thing fer a few weeks, but I've flown 'round th' planet a few times an' never felt any such society's power. Second, ya keep sayin' that no-one knows me an' there have been heroes before me-- Problem with that is, I don' recall there ever bein' any superheroes before I showed up, an' th' only examples were fictional ones like Batman an' Superman. Then I show up an' people are callin' me a 'real, live Supergirl'. So I dunno what th' issue here is, but there's somethin' really wrong with our simultaneous perceptions 'a th' world, Miss Condulmer."

((( XD Of course. Rottin little whipper-snappers talking smack. Or however it is the kids say it these days. 500+ years makes it easy to get behind the times. )) Edel looked at the young woman for another long moment, then glanced back at the young ghost behind her. "Well then... we'd better try and see if we can find out what is going on." she said, and motioned for Mira to move out of their way. Pendragon could probably tell the girl wasn't alive... but it still tended to odd people out to have such visible and physical apparitions walk through you. Miranda nodded, then floated back out of the doorway. Edel turned back to Pendragon and motioned for her to follow. "It will be easier to discuss things inside. There I can show you more about.... my world. And we can figure out what has happened." Edel replied. Thinking about it... she hadn't looked around the world yet today. Her appointments never showed up. She woke up feeling odd. Perhaps SHE was the one who'd gotten tossed into something new.

Frowning a little, Pendragon landed lightly on the ground and then followed Edel and Miranda inside, looking around at the interior of the building as they moved. The entire place was saturated with magic, which Caitlin simply wasn't used to; and then she wondered if other, ordinary people could sense magic; after all, there wasn't any precedent for it as far as she knew, so it could have been possible.
"This place... Never felt anythin' like it. Except... Except where I got my powers, I s'pose," she said, her tone rather thoughtful.

Edel smiled lightly as she continued leading Miranda and Pendragon through the hallway. "I've prided myself in what I've been able to collect and grow throughout the years. I originated in Europe, but reincarnation has made me more American bound. There are areas all over the globe that are seeping with magic. Most of which are hibernating. This place was an abandoned colonial town. I bought it and made it my own. Using the natural magic of the land to help my own magic recreate this sanctuary and the town around it. As long as I keep the land healthy with magic, I have no problem keeping magic permeating every stone and blade of grass under my dome." she replied. Suddenly the older woman stopped, for seemingly no reason at all. She held a hand up, to motion the girls behind her to remain silent. She looked around a moment, listening. Then she frowned. "Oh, no." she said softly. Then she immediately turned and tried to motion for Pendragon to head back the way they came. "Out. Back outside. Quickly now."

Pendragon's acute hearing allowed her to hear what sounded like a faint roar, and instead of following Edel's orders, she stood her ground, and then lifted a few centimeters off the ground, proceeding to float around and try to locate whatever had Edel spooked.
"There's somethin' around here... Some sorta animal." the Irish lass muttered to herself as she tried to pinpoint the sound, and simultaneous tried to identify what sort of animal could make such a sound to begin with.

"Outside..." Edel repeated. Her voice a low growl this time. "I don't wish for my home to be partly destroyed because my-" she began. But it was too late. There was a long, low rumble from under the floorboards. Then a few decorations on the walls began to shake. Then the walls themselves shook. Decorations fell off the walls. And the sound of busting rock and molten liquid bubbling and boiling began to fill the hall. Edel cursed under her breath and turned her attention to the floor. She aimed her hands downwards and shouted something in a long-forgotten language. Instead of stopping, whatever it was practically exploded through the floor under Pendragon. Forcing her through the ceiling, next floor, floor above that, roof, and finally threw her away from the house. Standing in the center of the roof was a molten, flaming dragon. It's horns on fire, its scales glowing like molten rocks, its eyes glowing, and it's two foot long claws digging into the roof. The creature looked as large as the house

Even the Wisdom of Ceridwen couldn't prepare Pendragon for the event of being punted out of a house by a molten dragon, and she grunted in surprise as it happened, shooting high up into the air before righting herself. She looked down at the house below, not seeming harmed, and furrowed her brow.
"Huh... So, a... a dragon? That's... on fire? Dear Lord in Heaven..." she muttered to herself, and then she flew down toward the dragon itself. One of the benefactors of her power, the goddess Danu, had gifted her with the ability to soothe angry animals to prevent them from hurting others; it was restricted to Earthly animals, but for all Pendragon knew, this creature was indeed native to Earth... some magical part of it anyway.
As she approached the dragon cautiously, she held out her hands, trying to send out an aura of calm; this power was one she hadn't used yet, so she wasn't sure if it'd work at all. "Hey now... Calm down. No-one's gonna try t' hurt ya..."

The creature roared at her. Sparks flying from it's mouth as it tried to crawl out of the hole it had made in the building. Edel shouted something in that same unfamiliar language, and the creature took one brief moment to look down at her. Then it turned back to Pendragon, growled, and shoved it's way onto the roof and out into the yard. Destroying half of the roof on it's way out. With it's feet firmly on it's ground, the creature twisted and curled itself into a more mobile position. It had no wings, just one long tail filled with spikes. The way it had attacked, it was safe to say the creature was more adapted to living underground than flying.

Sighing, Pendragon floated down toward the dragon and simply stood before it; she didn't move, or try to retreat-- the latter of which was a bad move when dealing with dangerous animals, as it made them see you as prey. She stared the dragon down, showing that she wasn't scared, and again slowly reached a hand out toward it, trying to use that calming aura again.
"C'mon now... Nobody's gonna hurt ya, O Great Scaly One." Pendragon muttered, keeping her eyes on the dragon's own.

The creature growled and reared back as she reached out to it. Hissing and jerking it's tail back and forth, sending trails of flames across the ground where the tail swept past. But.. it did not seem to want to attack her again. Or back away. She was standing her ground, the dragon was standing it's ground. Though it seemed to be caught between angry and intrigued at the stranger.

Keeping the calming aura up, Pendragon slowly lifted off of the ground, floating cautiously toward the dragon itself, and actually patted its nose; while she felt some powerful heat radiating off of it, it seemed she was protected magically by her powers and thus showed little discomfort.
"Don' worry, I won' hurt ya... Must be bad, bein' cooped up all th' time, huh?"

The dragon grunted and kept his full attention on the floating woman. He growled lightly, but other than that didn't seem to know what to do. The intruder wasn't attacking him, wasn't running away, wasn't injured by him, and was... The creature snorted once and shook his head. Seemingly displeased with having it's nose touched. Then he focused on the woman again. No longer growling, no longer spitting fire or laying waste to the grass around him with his tail.

Pendragon frowned thoughtfully, and patted the dragon's nose again, before moving away and actually tickling him under his jaw, mostly to see what would happen. "Yeah... Yer not a bad dragon, are ya? Ya jus' need someone t' give ya some attention, I bet..." As she said this, she patted the dragon's face, before moving to the dragon's side and rubbing along his body. And when Pendragon was honest with herself, despite how scary facing down a flaming dragon was... This was pretty damn awesome.

The creature snorted again and shook slightly as she pet him. He wasn't used to having someone touch him it seemed, and the fact that he wasn't moving away from her completely suggested that he wasn't sure how he felt about it. Edel was standing in the doorway of her home. Both hands resting on the door frame, her attention fully on Pendragon and her... well dragon, and her mouth parted slightly in amazement. Miranda floated up behind her as the she watched Pendragon as well. A broken chunk of ceiling fell somewhere behind them, but neither seemed to notice. "Well, would you look at that?""..........yes. That's.... unusual for Mars." Edel replied quietly. "The... not chasing the powerful intruder out of his territory part? The not trying to burn her to a crisp, eat her, or smack her into the next state part? Or the fact that he's actually allowing someone to touch him." Miranda asked with a grin.
