Kirianna was startled, and in one swift movement sat up and turned to face Hayate, staring up at him with her cold, empty eyes, her head tilted just a little the the left. Her right hand drifted slowly to her hair and started to curl it around her finger tips.
Tasty tasty, drain him dry. Watch with glee as people cry..." Kirianna shook her head and growled, trying to dispel the gravelly voice in her head. The sound she made was more like that of a disgruntled puppy than hungry wolf a wolf. The way the dim light hit her face made the dark rings around her eyes even more pronounced, giving her a hollowed out appearance.
"Help? Help?" It was a question, almost. "Why would you want to help me? Don't you know who I am? I am the scary one, the hollow child, people turn away in fear when Kiri the little monster appears," This said with a soft, sorrowful lilt to her voice. Her hand dropped form her hair and she focused more sharply on Hayate. "Who are you? You look like me..." She lifted her hand to tug at her hair again, indicating what she meant by her last statement.

HAYATE UZUMAKI [Genin][Shouran][Uzumaki][Sensor]
Hayate raised an eyebrow at the little girl. He had never seen such a lack of, well anything in any eyes he had ever gazed into. It was obvious that this girl had some serious personal issues, but at such a young age it surprised Hayate. There was a bit of an awkward silence as the girl stared at Hayate, apparently sizing him up. She shook her head which made Yate wonder if she meant to him. He had been about to turn away when she spoke. Her voice certainly matched her age, though it was filled with such sorrow. As she spoke Hayate began to frown. It wasn't because he recognized her and suddenly recalled the notion that he should hate her and leave. It as because he felt her only concern should be kiddie things, like playing dress up or whatever tween girls did in their free time. When she spoke about his hair, Hayate chuckled.
He reached up and scratched his head as he walked over and squatted down, perching like an owl on the ground. "I get that a lot. My name's Hayate Uzumaki." He started saying, leaning against the wall she had been scratching. He opened up his jacket and looked down at his stomach, reading the many seals placed on his skin. It was a practice he had taken to doing a long time ago so he always had what he needed. This time, he needed food. Hayate touched one of the seals which gave off a bright green aura. He reached in and pulled out an entire picnic basket. He placed it on the floor and began to speak again. "Kiri's a pretty name. I'm not sure why people would call ya a little monster, but I no fer sure I won't be callin' ya that." Hayate finished just as he pulled out a little cloth and placed it between the two of them. He started pulling out all sorts of food; hot dogs, sandwiches, crepes, cookies, and even a tuna salad. He pulled out a gallon of milk and chocolate syrup, as well as two cups. As Hayate began to make himself some chocolate milk he spoke again. "So Kiri, want to tell me what yer doin' out here in the dark, all alone?" He said, reaching for a hot dog. He began to devour it like a person who had never eaten before. Kirianna would probably notice that Hayate did not speak like most people. He had an odd accent, a sort of drawl that stretched the wrong words and made others shorter.
"Life ain't that short. Take yer time and experience it all."

Arriving on his first real mission that was assigned to him Takashi looked down at the address that was given to him. The address was behind a restaurant Takashi wondered "What could it be, bodyguard, take down some thieves...". He knocked on the door and an old man opened it slowly. Takashi answered politely and quickly "Sir I'm here for my mission!" . The old man smiled then nodded, turning around he went to go get something. Coming back out of the doorway he had a small dog. "I need you to walk him." .Takashi face turned red "You mean that's my mission, to walking a little dog?!" . Without getting angry the old man handed him the dog with the leash, poop bag and quietly shut his door.
Takashi face was beet red as he walked this little dog down the street. Clenched "I didn't become a ninja to walk to a dog!" Sighing he walked along the street as the dog sniffed around from building to building. After the dog peed several times Takashi thought "This is my life, this is what I trained at the academy for?". Now things were getting worse, the dog just did his business on the side of the road. The dog looked at Takashi and he sighed. Picking it up with a baggy he tired and threw it in a nearby waste basket. This was an exercise in humility for Takashi. Arriving in back of the restaurant he gave the dog back and the man thanked him. "Thanks kid, by the way, my granddaughter lost her cat in another part of town, could you go try to find it...might challenge you more heh!". With a forced smile Takashi took the area down where the cat was last seen and got a picture. After getting the information he headed toward his next...'mission'.

• Can naturally breathe water • 40% Chakra increase • 20% Water technique chakra reduction • Ability to perform Mokuton with one hand seal up until B Rank • Water based jutsu are 1/2 rank stronger at the same cost.
• Water Manipulation - Passive Mizu Soujuu is a technique requiring no hand seals which serves as the building block of all other Suiton techniques. It is the first technique Suiton users learn (many of them discovering it on their own) and is a skill which evolves as the user grows in experience and strength. The skill set includes basic manipulation of water, such as moving it from one area to another, levitating it in the air, or gathering it into a single mass from beads of water around the user, or even from water vapor in the air. Through a mastery of Mizu Soujuu, a Suiton user is able to generate the water needed for their various techniques, naturally drawing on Mizu Soujuu to gather the water necessary before molding a Suiton technique with their various hand seals. (The amount of water generated naturally in performing a technique is the equivalent to the user's rank, so a Genin's understanding of Mizu Soujuu will enable the use of any E-rank or D-rank technique without requiring an additional source of water. However, C-rank techniques or above will require a secondary source of water gained by some other means.)
[Note: Mizu Soujuu does not require chakra to use... it is a natural extension of a Suiton technique which the user draws upon to supply the water needed. However, in places like the desert, or in the middle of a burning building, where there is little to no moisture in the air... a Suiton user cannot use Mizu Soujuu to generate the water needed for their techniques.]
Mist Vision - Passive A technique granting the user the ability to see through heavy mist, steam, or any other condition dealing with water in the air, this ability is best used in conjunction with the Hidden Mist. Though it allows the user to see through most conditions pertaining to moisture in the air, the Kiri Shikaku no Jutsu is unable to provide vision through smoke and is considered a passive ability that activates when the user's vision would otherwise be obstructed by moisture in the air condition. Does not require hand seals.
Kirianna was confused. He didnt run from her or turn away when she told him who she was. How strange. Another small shake of her head, this time in disbelief, and eyed the food curiously. She was bursting with curiosity as to where it all cam from... He had just... pulled it out of his stomach. How strange.
"Drink his blood, learn his soul, then break free from this dark hole..." She whimpered and held one hand to her head. Shaking it firmly once again she returned her gaze to the spread, mouth watering a little. Her stomach grumbled. It all looked so tasty. She had no response to the compliment, she didnt really have any social knowledge as far as compliments went... It was lucky she knew how to speak at all the amount of shunning she had endured. To his question however...
She dragged her eyes reluctantly from the food to meet Hayate's eyes. "Its all sad at home, I cant see mumma in the dark,,, and the strange man scares me..." She dropped her eyes to her hands and started to shiver. "I am evil... evil... evil..." she started to whisper to herself. "Sweet dark... Warm dark... Dark home..." She began rocking back and forth slowly, arms now crossed tight over her chest.
Hayate had just gotten halfway through a red velvet cupcake when Kirianna whimpered and grabbed her head. He stopped eating for once and turned to face her fully. She was definitely troubled. Yate briefly wondered if he should bring her to Kaisen, he would know what to do with the girl. Or maybe even his mother could help her. She seemed ravenous but had not made a single reach for the food. He furrowed his eyebrows and brought his fingers together at the tips; a stance he took when he was deep in thought. This was certainly a dilemma, one he did not know if he was qualified for it. But all thoughts of passing this girl to someone else left his mind when Kirianna turned her empty eyes to his. She was so sad and hurt, but something burned even deeper. Her words struck him like hammer blows, making him lose his appetite.
Hayate began to swiftly pack his food back into the basket, his fervor growing to the point where he was merely resealing the food without even packing it right. "Hey kid, Kiri. Take me to yer home. If someone is hurtin' ya I'll take care of it right now!" He said, sincerely hoping this strange man was not real. From what Kirianna was saying it really sounded like something dark and bad was happening just inside Hayate's beloved village. No he was not the strongest or most qualified, but he was here and he was capable. Hayate would be damned if he just left some little girl to her fate. His mother would be so ashamed, his father... Hayate pushed those thoughts away and turned his attention back to Kiri. He moved in front of her and placed his large hands on her shoulders tenderly. "Is yer momma okay Kiri? Who's the strange man?" Yate said, feeling anger begin to broil inside of him. What type of person made a child think they were evil?

Kirianna looked up at Hayate as he placed his hands so gently upon her shoulders. Her eyes coming back into focus. "I..." She scooted back and pushed herself to her feet. He wanted to protect her from the strange man. Someone could help her to stop the strange man.
"He is lying sweet thing, we are friends is all, kill him, rip out his throat slay him. He will taste so sweet, I know it... I promise I will take care of you.." "NO!" She shrieked and took Hayate's hand before dragging him off for a few blocks, running wildly. She stopped outside a very run down house, The garden over run with weeds and wild flowers now sleeping. The grass was higher than the girls head. The only way to access the house, a Dirt path carved in a straight line from the gate to the front door. She let clutched his hand tighter and started walking now, slowly, towards the front door.
The door of the house hung off its hinges, the window beside was shattered. The bottom most step leading to the door was broken in two, and small animal bones littered the ground under a tree nearby. She jumped up onto the second step and proceeded into the house, letting go of hayate's hand at this point. She walked into the dark of the house and into the kitchen where she turned on a lamp. The only sorce of light in the dark dank 'home'.
The floor of the room was clear, howevery other surface in the room was covered in smal bones, packages from foor stuffs she had stolen, half rotten pieces of fruit and vegetables stacked in piles and broken plates. She knelt on the floor and draged herself along with her hands, stopping under the table in the middle of the room. She curled up here, next to a large dried blood pool, one arm outstretched, her palm in the centre. "Mumma..." Was the only word she said, softly. "Mumma, Mumma" Over and over she repeated it in her gentle voice.
Kirianna seemed so confused at what Hayate had just said. He briefly wondered if he had spoken in riddles or maybe was unclear. But before he could say anything she shrieked. Yate reeled backward in surprise but was yanked to his feet by a girl half his size. It was weird to have such a tiny thing towing him along as if he was a sack of potatoes and not a nearly full grown guy. Not only was she dragging him along but it was as if she was running away from something, trying to escape it. The more they ran Hayate realized he should probably partake in some cardio exercises. He was out of breath and panting like a dog in heat. When at last they slowed Hayate looked at the house, or shack. It looked abandoned, which was certainly an odd sight to see Downtown. Here in Soragakure where there was so little room there was rarely a space left to ruin. It was always torn down and built over to create something new. Hayate wondered if this was really the place, but Kiriann was already leading him down the dirt path.
The front door was on its last bolts, hanging from the hinges as if it was about to fall. A weird thought entered Hayate's head as they passed the threshold. He was wondering what this place looked like when it had been cared for, a loving hand around to keep it from falling to ruin. Hayate had to actually lengthen his steps to keep up with Kirianna as she sprinted through the house, stopping in the kitchen. It was then that the smell hit Hayate, making him reel backward and raise his hand to his nose. There were bits of food everywhere, long since discarded and left to rot. There was no way that this little girl had been left to live like this. In that moment Yate wanted nothing more than to find this strange man who he so strongly believed was the cause of this and turn his face to mush. His anger swatted away the churling of his stomach, pushing him forward.
Hayate poked his head passed the kitchen entrance and paused as Kirianna clicked on the light. He blinked for a moment as his eyes adjusted, pupils contracting swiftly. Yate heard Kirianna's footsteps on the wood and he could here her crawl along the floor. When he located her under the table he cleared the length of the room in three steps. Hayate grabbed the table on the edge and bent low, turning his head to the side to see what Kirianna was doing. "Mumma..." The repetition of the word only worsened the situation. Kirianna was curled up next to blood long since dried, caressing it softly as if it were alive. Yate felt the bile rise in his throat, but he did not know if it was from the smell or the sight. Hayate would later tell himself it was the smell.
He slowly rose to his feet and walked to the nearest window, placing his hands on the ledge. "Oh Kami-sama, what the hell did I just walk into?" Hayate said under his breath, sending a quick prayer skyward and turning around. He flinched and braced himself against the wall at the sight of yet another pool of dried blood, further from the first. His imagination ran wild and it took everything he had to calm himself down and see the situation clearly. When he steadied himself he nodded his head and took a deep breath. It was obvious that Kirianna had been living alone for awhile. She referred to the...Hayate shook his head, unable to think of it as it truly was. She referred to the marked area as her 'Mumma', which obviously meant a woman had died here. The other blood could belong to anyone, but there was just so much of it. Yate felt the panic rising again but he steeled himself again. His father would never have ran from this; neither would he.
Hayate drummed his fingers against his leg three times in succession while thinking about what to do. They were definitely in danger. The Strange Man could come back any time and finish the job. Hayate had probably made it worse by showing up here. But it was too late to back out. Yate crossed the room to Kirianna and knelt down, peering at her beneath the table. "Kiri, can ya tell me what happened to yer mum, to yer house." Hayate said, making sure his voice sounded strong and steady and did not at all reflect what really was going on inside. To put it bluntly Hayate was scared shitless. There were two giant pools of blood on the ground, two whole people had bled out right here in this room. Kirianna had probably witnessed it as well. This little girl was completely cracked, and needed someone to be strong for her. Hayate would deal with this Strange Man and see to it that Kirianna was cared for indefinitely. But first he had to find out what had happened.

Kiri pushed herself up slowly, dragging her eyes from the puddle of blood to hayate. "i killed her..." She muttered, a frown creasing her brow. Eyes fixated on Hayate's. She said it with little remorse."The man told me to kill her and I did... He tells me to kill you, but I dont want to do that... I like you Hayate..." She pushed herself back, away from hayate, further under the table. When in the centre of the space under the table she pulled her knee's upto her chest and wrapped her arms around them tight. "I am evil evil evil evil..."
"You know he hates you now, you are a bad person Kirianna, you kille dher. I didnt make you. You wanted to. She made you sad. He is making you sad, kill him Kirianna, kill him" Again she whimpered, clutching her head between balled fists. "NO GET OUT! I HATE YOU GET OUT!"She rolled over onto her stomach and started thumping her head against the floor. "No no, Mumma, No no..."
Hayate just stopped. Everything stopped. His breath, his life, time, everything. Did this little, sweet and innocent looking child literally say she just killed her mother and the man in her head told her to do so. She had seriously said that the man was telling her to kill him. Hayate looked down her, disbelief flashing in his eyes. He could only stand there and watch Kirianna smash her head against the floor. How the actual ******** could a girl this small take on a fully grown woman, and even Hayate. Who was this man? Was the other blood spot a result of Kirianna's doing as well? Tune in next paragraph for more.
The sound of her muttering over and over again snapped Hayate out of his stupor. He reached up and brushed the hair out of his face, holding his forehead for a moment. There had to be more to this. There was no way Kirianna had just up and killed someone for no reason. She even said it herself. Some man that seemed to be in her head was ordering her to kill things. Maybe she was just a nutbag. Should he perform a citizens arrest here and now and take her to the Kage? Kaisen could sort it out. Hayate shook his head and finally found his voice. "Kiri. Kiri. KIRI!" Hayate shouted when the girl would not stop muttering and banging her head. He moved the table with a deft kick and seized the girl by the shoulders, stopping her from smashing her head on the floor. His green eyes found her dark ones and he stared deep into them, trying to find some semblance of sanity. "Who is the Strange Man?" He said, his voice just above a whisper. He was afraid if he spoke any louder his voice would crack. Hayate noticed his hands were shaking, but he couldn't tell if it was him or Kirianna.

As the table was kicked over the room exploded in a spray of rotten vegetables and bone shards, pieces of old china, though most of it went towards the far wall, a splat of old pumpkin managed to land on Kirianna's cheek.
"Killl him before it is to late. You told him the secret, now he will lock you away and you will never see the bright light of day, condemned forever in the dark with only me, your sweet counterpart," Kirianna shuddered violently, eyes now locked again with Hayate's. "When I was littler... the men came and took me and something happened... now I have the gravel man in my head... His voice is crunchy like walking on stones... And he makes me kill people if I go to sleep..." She dropped her head, staring down at the ground between them. "He says you are going to lock me away with him forever Hayate.... He says I should kill you before you can lock me away and then bury you with mama and the drunk man..." She shuddered again. "I dont want to kill you Hayate, Hayate is kind to me... Please dont let him make me kill you hayate..."
Hayate furrowed his eyebrows at Kirianna's explanation. A man came and took her, and now there was a gravel man in her head. He didn't really understand her, but he did know that Kirianna was threatening him in a way. Even if it was not a decision fully her own it was one that involved her taking Hayate's life. He looked down at the girl begging him to not make her kill him. Hayate tapped his foot against the floor, wondering what he should do. Hayate backed away slowly and closed his eyes, seeking the truth. When he opened his eyes they had changed color. No longer were they the regular vibrant green he normally had, but a wispy and smoky grey. It looked as if the stream of time was in his eyes. He backed away from Kirianna without a word, needing to 'see' for himself. The Visions of Time began to move backward through all of the events that had happened of late. Many of them were of Kirianna walking about in the kitchen, sitting with the blood stain and discarding her food in random places.
Hayate waited patiently, seeing things that Kirianna could not see, but had already seen. And then it happened, the man came and spirited her away. When she returned things were different. Kirianna's mother met an untimely demise through a weird state of being. It was as if Kirianna had lusted for the blood. She seemed to have enjoyed it for awhile, until she cracked under the hate. Hayate understood it now. There was something inside of her. As an Uzumaki he studied seals and knew of many different reasons one would seal something. He closed his eyes, no longer needing to see more. Hayate knelt down to get on Kirianna's level and reached up a hand, wiping away the pumpkin on her face. He lifted up his shirt and pointed to one of the many seals upon his body. "Do you have one of these Kiri?" He asked, hoping the answer was a yes. If it was Hayate understood everything. If not, this was most certainly an issue.

Whilst Hayate had been browsing her past like an open book, Kirianna had just been slowly rocking back and forth, muttering to herself, trying with futility to drown out the monster in her brain. Body trembling softly. She looked up, startled out of her reverie by Hayate kneeling before her, wiping the rotted plant life off her cheek.
"Kill kill kill, he is going to hurt hurt hurt. He will hurt you. Kill you break you. I will love you, take care of you, protect you from the monsters..." Trying again to coax her into violence. He wasnt sure how well he could control her when she knew what he was... That would make things interesting. Maybe he could convince her... that she was chosen to be the ultimate.. something.. maybe...
Kiri watched, fascinated as hayate lifted his shirt and pointed to one of the seals there. She nodded slowly and wriggled her fingers under her shirt, dragging it right up over her head. Revealing her completely flat, boyish chest, the seal covered the right half oh her chest. "You mean this thing?" She asked, pressing a finger against it. "What does it mean? I am a monster, right?" Her voice sounded a little defeated.
Under normal circumstances Hayate may have been uncomfortable in this situation, but this was not the first time he dealt with seals in uncomfortable places. The thought made him shift his legs awkwardly for a moment at the memory. Hayate narrowed his eyes and studied the seal, wondering who had managed to seal something with that much strength and size into such a tiny vessel. It was no wonder that Kirianna acted as she did; whatever was inside must constantly fighting for control. The poor girl probably lashed out with strength she did not know she had in self defense, aided by the creature inside. He did not know what demon it was nor the exact level of power, but he did know this was definitely out of his league. The best he could do is tell the girl what was inside of her and hope the knowledge didn't drive her further into insanity. Hayate brushed the hair out of his face and stood quiet for a moment, wondering what to do. "No Kiri, ya aren't a monster." He said, reaching up and fixing Kiri's shirt for her. He put a hand on her shoulder and looked into her eyes. There was sincerity in his, and something that showed he cared. "Sometimes it's better to not knew what yer dealin' with. I can tell ya, but ya may not want to know." Hayate said, giving the girl the option to expose herself to this information. If she wanted to know he'd gladly divulge all the information he had about these demons, and if not he would lock the secret away with him until she either wanted to know or he died. Whichever came first.

Ai unhooked herself from the skyrails she used as transportation and landed on the ground without missing a step. As always, the downtown was busy, a fact that she could tell from the other side of the village with her trained senses. The many citizens of Soragakure, plus the occasional foreigner, bustled to and fro, filling the streets with a mass of bodies that Ai had to slip and slide through to cover the remaining distance to her intended destination.
Once she freed herself from the crowded streets onto the slightly less crowded steps of the library, Ai could finally resume walking somewhat normally. She still had to be wary of bumping into people, but at least she didn't have to walk sideways or anything. She entered the library and bowed politely to the receptionist before making her way through the towering shelves. Not yet accustomed to the structure of this building, the new genin spent some time lost.
As she wandered the strange mix of the technological building and archaic scrolls, Ai allowed her mind to wander. She looked within herself and found nothing changed as opposed to how she was a week ago. At least, nothing she could feel. It was a bit unsettling. After all, only a few days ago, Ai had, according to the people who performed the procedure, a devastating monster of a demon sealed within her, a devil who's release would mean the destruction of the village. Ai had readily agreed, willing to do all she could to help her village, even while expecting something inside of her to change drastically after the sealing. Just like how, sometimes, the worst part of a horror film was the suspense leading up to the actual horror, this unexpected calm worried Ai. Was she doing something wrong? Since she couldn't feel anything to resist, did that mean that she was failing as a host. Then again, the sealers had assured her she wouldn't feel any different while going through her everyday life, that their seal was strong enough to keep the Kyuubi completely at bay from her mind so long as nothing was done to weaken the seal. Of course, she didn't mind not having mind-tearing mental battles but she couldn't help but be worried.
"No matter how much time passes You won't lose your special heart..."
Salome made her way through downtown, but it was not normal day at all it seemed. People were all running in the same direction in what seemed to be in terror. Salome stood as the people ran by her as she watched the enemy shinobi from the rooftops advance further into the village. 'What is going on...' She thought with her smile disappearing completely. There was many of them pouring into the village, and for once the security of the village looked very awful. She ran towards the intruding shinobi, ready to do battle.
