In truth, she had hoped it would have taken more time for them to locate the portal, all so she could just avoid the water for a while longer. Unfortunately, with Tybalt and Danny on the case, it didn't take long at all.
Tagging after the, the doll cringed at the flame demon's words. Sucking in an unnecessary breath of air, Mei reluctantly followed them into the portal.

"This looks like the right place. Definitely has about the same amount of water, I'd guess." He confirmed, still oblivious to both Mei's and Danny's concerns.
"Alright." He crossed his arms over his chest and beamed at the other four. "Lets get started then! Last one in is a grubby human!" And without warning he dove into the water; causing a rather large splash that may or may not have hit everyone else present.
(( Not quite at the boss yet, but posting the roles for everyone to see. O v O ))Roles Selected Tybalt: DPS - Damage dealers do DOUBLE Fear/ charged attack damage (when it hits).
Gene: DPS - Damage dealers do DOUBLE Fear/ charged attack damage (when it hits).
Remi: DPS - Damage dealers do DOUBLE Fear/ charged attack damage (when it hits).
Danny: Tank - You have DOUBLE your original HP but do half the damage! You can quote UP TO TWO players a round to SHIELD Them. This effect is unlimited but don't forget to quote your targets.
Mei: Healer - You can HEAL your party instead of doing damage. Roll damage equal to their YEAR (so Y1 = 2d6, Y2 = 2d8 etc)- 6 damage for heal amount. You can target ONE player. You do TRIPLE HEALS to a Tank (2x heal 'damage' done)! This effect is unlimited but don't forget to quote your target.

Gene hadn't even started to try finding portals before Tyblat found one, having stuck close to Mei the entire ten minutes it took them. She could tell her doll friend was experiencing a whole lot of discomfort - maybe even moreso that Danny. A small frown tweaked her lips as she grabbed onto the ghoul's arm.
"I could phase us through the water, if that'd help?" She offered with a motherly smile, demonstrating said ability to become incorporeal. "And there's hardly any strain on me - don't worry about that."

An instinctive hiss escaped Danny's mouth before she could stop it. That was a LOT more water than the pictures had shown. Oh no no no. She was so not cool with this.
Any ounce of fake bravado she'd shown before was lost. "Do I haaaaaaave to?"

"Why are you guys scared of a little water? It wont hurt you..." He frowned at them, tilting his head to the side curiously. He could understand Ami, she was a fire demon. Fire + Water = NOPE.
Remi though, at his core, also was a little bit of a fire demon... all kitsune were. Thankfully though, as a canine, he could swim. "Ide offer to illusion away the water if you dont want to go with Genes idea, pretty neat skill you got there by the way." He commented, shrugging his shoulders again. He jumped into the water with less of a splash than Tybalt, but lingered around in case they needed his assistance.

Much like Danny, she was thinking the exact same thing the girl was saying. "Maybe not you.." She answered Remi with a slight mumble, kicking at the ground. "I can't exactly swim, since I was never meant to go swimming. Cracks plus water means I sink." If she did manage to somehow survive this whole ordeal, she was going to have to kill a certain black dog later for asking her to come along.
"Ah, thanks Gene. But you should save your strength for anything we might encounter." The doll smiled, squeezing the ghoul's shoulder lightly. "I'll figure something out."

Ah, now that explained a lot!
In a blink of an eye remi went from looking like a student, to his true form of a rather large dog. He had been going through a minor growing spirt recently... so if anyone bothered to look they would see he had gotten a bit bigger in his true form. Not GIGANTOR fox or anything, but he was no longer only german shepherd sized.
Paddling over he hovered a little close to where they still stood, doggy padding easily. "Here Mei, you can ride on my back. You will still be partially submerged in the water... but you wont sink or need to swim this way.

Tybalt was already in his natural form now; doggy paddling around in circles before he noticed the situation and turned around, returning to the others. Fortunately Remi was already there to the rescue.
"There see! Problem solved!" he barked happily, hauling himself up out of the water and waddling over towards Danny. "You can't swim, right?"
He may not be the biggest canine in the school, but he certainly wasn't exactly tiny either. In fact he was certainly large enough that carrying one student a short distance wouldn't restrict him in the least and if it meant they all got across safely and calmly, then it was worth the extra work.
"Hop on. You can keep your tail above water this way."

Well, half submerged couldn't be as bad as fully submerged, and it appeared she wasn't going to get out of this anytime soon. Best she just suck it up and take Remi up on his offer. "Okay, fine. You guys win." She groaned, walking over to climb atop fox's back. "Promise you won't decide to take a sudden dive or anything, yeah..?"

He didnt blame her for asking. Thankfully for the ghoul though, while Remi was a prankster... he wasnt a cruel one. "I wont dive under the water unless its a life or death matter." He said to her, crouching down so she could get on his back a little easier. He was already wet from being in the water, so sorry about that mei! He resisted the urge to shake his body all over to remove the water before she hopped on. He was part of the canine family after all, but at the same time he knew he was just getting back into the water so what would be the point? "Are you okay swimming, Gene?" He looked towards the ghoul next, not forgetting her. "I can only carry one."

Glad to see the issue resolved, Gene nodded to Remi as she began to hover, sly smile spreading over her lips. "Oh, I'll be alright. Hovering doesn't even take a noticeable bit of Fear." There were perks to being a Ghost after all, it would seem. Plus, she really didn't want to get her clothing wet. "I think we're all ready to go~"
