Oh yes Gods. The very thought of deities made the Drakein want to roll over with laughter, though he knew it was hardly a laughing matter if any god took offence of his thoughts on the matter and swooped down to exact their wrath. Though the boys comment about ruling Magesc made him snort at the very idea.
"Not that I am disregarding your claim as being supreme ruler as a race, but if you think about it...why are oblivionite's the only ones without souls? Everything else in this world has a soul, even the plants your so fascinated with. So if you think on it, it seems the oblivionite's are the 'odd man out'. Pardon the pun. " mother Drakein continued as he sauntered up a small hill spreading his wings as he deftly jumped up and onto a rocky ledge. Turning around he looked down at the boy his glowing green eyes analyzing him until and hunkered down to wait for him to catch up.

" Souls seem to be a form of weakness meant to allow the other gods to keep control over their creations. They want to be good so they have a pleasant afterlife. We serve Soudana because we desire to." Akilae 's words were not aggressive but he spoke them with great conviction. He had decided that souls were something Oblivionites were much better off without and nothing was going to convince him otherwise now.
Akilae was more accustomed to climbing trees than he was rocky or hilly terrain. It took a few extra moments for him to fight the right way to haul himself up onto his drakein guide's level. The Order's physical instructor would be less than pleased to learn that the walking and climbing thus far combined with waking up damp and sore had him starting to get weary. The hybrid boy had not yet reached teen hood and lacked some of the strength and stamina he would surely gain with age.
" Are we almost there?"

Listening to the boy he wanted to laugh, fill the air with his laughter and make the boy feel as insignificant as his race truely was. But instead he watched him as he climbed up the rock, watched as how easily he could just...send a rock slide down and kill the child..or at least horrible maim him. Still that would ruin his fun wouldn't it?
"And what makes you so sure gods exists? Are gods the same as rulers? Generals of war? There is always someone in control of the weaker..and less fortunate.." Dapyhir commented as he got up using his tail to help the boy keep his balance rather than send him careening off the rocky ledge. At the question he looked up, they were going higher and higher ..he had a place in mind.
"We are not too far now. Tell me more my friend...of your beliefs.."
