Keirra xxxUsually one was supposed to know whether or not they accepted walk-ins but with Alex's coughing and the way he was wrapped around her, she hadn't thought to check. The doctor in front of her confirmed what she should have already known but then again, Keirra had been to quite a few hospitals, most of them happened to accept walk-ins. Looking to him as he shifted his attention from her to Alex. It seemed nothing was going to be said about the meeting they had in the previous night. And if anything, he was being nice to Alex, calming not only her, but the worried little boy as well.
"If it won't hurt his throat, he can have one, I suppose." Keirra agreed, setting Alex down before standing up, grabbing her purse and waiting to be lead out of the waiting room. Before they could get to another room, a nurse ran to the Doctor to see if he would sign something for her. He didn't seem to mind the sudden interruption, was he used to this? Alex gave a small smile before coughing and Keirra handed him the small cup of water that she had gotten for him, allowing him to take a few sips. "We're ready when you are, Doctor." She replied, hesitantly tearing her eyes from Alex so she could look at him.

"Off we go then" he said before taking the lead towards his office. The blonde woman seemed much more tense and shy than when he saw her on stage the night before. Perhaps it was because she now had her child with her - a sick child, that is - and she automatically tensed up because of the situation of meeting Matthew again. Though it might also be that she needed to be out-going and flirty on stage, just as he himself needed to take a step outside his comfort zone and smile and be happy towards anyone he met in the hospital to give them the best of service.
Walking down the corridors, meeting only a few people, the red headed male turned to look at Kierra for a second to see if she kept up with him. Taking a right and walking a short distance, Matthew held up a door on the left side of the corridor to let the blonde woman and her son step inside. He then closed the door behind his back as he stepped in himself. The journal in his hands was put on to the side for the time being. "You can sit down where ever you feel most comfortable" he said while grabbing his stethoscope before turning to Keirra and Alex. He then grabbed a chair himself and sat down facing his new patients. Well, patient. "I'm Doctor Moore, sorry for introducing myself properly. Well now, what seems to be troubling you today?" He smiled warmly and softly at them both as he awaited an answer. Though he had already heard the boy cough and Keirra mentioning his throat, he figured there might be something more. Fever, perhaps.

Keirra xxxAnd they were off! Following Matthew silently, Keirra was somewhat ashamed of herself. Maybe she should have high-tailed it upon first seeing him, after all, this was a bit of an awkward situation. But thankfully, he was being professional, maybe he didn't remember her? When he turned, she raised a brow but said nothing, simply following him and making sure to keep a decent distance between them. Oh, her girls would have so much fun the second they heard about this, she would never live it down! First constantly visiting the table that he had been sitting at - which now she regretted, even if it meant extra groceries and rent being caught up a bit. As well as the lap dance, and now here she was, in his office, at his job.
When they finally got to the door that she presumed to be his office, she walked in with Alex, allowing him to sit in the observation chair while she sat in a chair to the side. Staying somewhat close to her son, Keirra smiled up at Alex, trying to console the young boy. "Well, I'm Keirra and this is Alex.. For the past few days he's had a bit of a cough but it just seems to get worse and worse.. And my boss warned me that the flu was going around so I wanted to have it checked out.." She murmured, as Alex was bashfully swaying his feet, more focused on his spiderman sneakers. Now it was mommy-mode, the woman being serious and even worried about her son.

xxxxx\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ HERE WE GO AGAIN ↺↺xxxx/// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// Matthew nodded a few times as Keirra told him about how Alex's cough had gotten worse during the past few days, also mentioning that her boss had told her about the flu. True - he had met quite a few people over the week who wanted know if they had the flu or not. Most of the times it turned out to be so, sadly. He himself really hated to get sick and feel weak and feverish all the time. Not having the strength to do anything else than laying in bed was a pain, according to himself.
"It's that time of the year now; quiet a lot of people get the flu so it's really good of you to come and look it up." Matthew turned to Alex and put the ends of the stethoscope in his ears. He held up the other end of the medical equipment to show it to the boy with a comforting smile. "I'm just going to lift up your shirt a little bit and listen to your lungs, okey? It's only going to be a little cold" he said, being sure to tell Alex what he was going to do. Many children were scared of coming to the doctor and what they were going to do if they hadn't done it before, so he always made sure to tell the children what he was going to do before getting to it.
After listening to the boy's lungs and checking his throat, also checking his ears in just in case as well as a fever, the red headed male removed the stethoscope that he had placed behind his neck and put it to the side. He then turned to Keirra. "No flu" he said with a soft smile playing on his lips before standing up. "But his throat's a little swollen, most probably from coughing too much. I'm going to give you a small note with the names of a few different coughing medicines that you can choose from at the pharmacy. And if it doesn't get better within a week or if he gets a fever, just drop by again. Okey?" Matthew then reached down in to one of the drawers of a desk and picked up four different coloured lollipops and held them out to Alex with a smile. "Which colour you want?"

Keirra xxxQuietly watching Matthew tend to Alex, she was glad to see that he seemed to know just what to do. Not once during the whole check up did the little boy turn to his mother in fear, only doing as he was told though he did flinch at the cold metal of the stethoscope touching him. "It's cold!" He giggled, starting to feel a little bit better though he immediately regretted his exclamation as it stressed his throat out. When all was said and done, he watched the man and his mother, suddenly coming to a conclusion. "Mommy! I like him!" He told her, giving a small, toothy grin. With that, Keirra was shocked and she gave Alex a firm look before lightly shaking her head. No, he wasn't about to pull this card. She'd heard enough of it from the other girls but now from her son? Not fair. It was bad enough that she had run into him after giving him a lap dance but the last thing she needed was Alex spouting off that she was single, and that he wanted to get to know Matthew.
Though she was soon distracted as the doctor gave his prognosis of the illness that had been wearing her son down. "Ah.. Well, it's good to know. Is there anything else aside from the cough medicines that I should be giving him?" She questioned, knowing that she would have to write out a list for his baby-sitter, Jenna. Unlike the previous night, Keirra was due to be at work tonight, even though her only night off, she had been called in. Alex wasn't too bad off but if things got worse over-night, she wouldn't be hesitating to stay home with him. The boss would understand, and so would the other girls. Plus, it had been so long since she had spent time with her son, anymore, she was always working.
"Mommy! Can we get a few movies?! Can we have a pizza night!? Are you staying home tonight? Will you? Jenna's so mean to me! She just sits and talks to her boyfriend!" Already, Alex was gaining his energy and Keirra frowned as she realized that he did have a point, she did need to stay home with him. "Yes, I'll stay home tonight, and we'll see about getting you a new sitter then.. Pizza night? Sounds good to me!" She giggled, helping Alex from the chair before turning to face Matthew, her eyes locking onto him in hopes that he wouldn't say why she was never home at night, and that he wouldn't turn her in. She wasn't a bad parent, but with her current career, half the time she wasn't able to stay home at night time to tuck her beloved son in. No, she was out trying to get money to provide for them.

xxxxx\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ HERE WE GO AGAIN ↺↺xxxx/// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// Hearing the little boy tell his Mommy that he liked Matthew made the red head only chuckle a little. He was - after all - pretty good with children. He had gotten the honourable task of baby sitting both his brother's and his two older sisters' kids a few times, so he knew how to handle them. Though he felt like he was almost getting too old to get kids of his own. Sure, twenty-seven isn't old, but he knew he was closer to thirty than twenty and that made him feel old.
As for Keirra's question, Matthew just shook his head slightly. "Nothing special at least. But giving him water or something else to drink from time to time might ease the hurting in his throat. Warm or cold - doesn't matter, though warm is probably the best. And no fizzy drinks as it can irritate and making him cough instead, and we don't want that." He said the last dew words with a small smile before turning to his desk. He grabbed the pen in his white robe, a yellow post-it note from the neat and tidy desk and wrote down the names of three common cough medicines that Keirra could choose from.
Behind his back he could hear the little boy talking lively about how he wanted to have pizza and asking if Keirra would be staying home tonight, since his baby sitter was mean to him. He already seemed to have a lot more energy, which was good. Keirra said that she would stay home. For a second or so he thought about commenting it, but decided against it. He wasn't sure if Alex know what his Mommy did when she wasn't at home at night. So instead, he just turned to face the blonde woman, looking straight into her eyes as he did. Matthew blinked a few times before handing her the yellow post-it note along with a red lollipop for Alex with a smile. "That's that. If there's any questions or if the situation gets worse or if you need help, you can just drop by again."

Keirra xxx"Doctor-man! My mommy needs a boyfriend, and I like you!" Alex piped up, having totally forgotten about the sucker as he tried to be a love doctor. Keirra was stunned by how careless the child was being, trying to match her up with someone. It was cute in a way but otherwise? It had the blonde blushing and rapidly shaking her head, trying to avoid the attention it would bring. Matthew spoke up again, alerting her to the fact that she would need to keep him away from soda, though she usually didn't let him have it anyways. Water. Warm water. Would it really work? She was skeptical but she gave a small nod. "Well, that doesn't sound too bad.. Thank you." Keirra murmured, glad that he only had a sore throat. Sure, it was bad to be happy about a child being sick, but she was glad that it was something small.
As the doctor turned around, she looked to Alex, hoping to shut him up about the comments he was making. He was almost starting to sound like the girls she worked with. Out of all the girls, she was one of the few who was still single, and she knew that Alex was fond of the man in front of him but things were getting way too awkward. Looking to Matthew again, she was surprised as he turned around, his eyes locking onto hers. This wasn't good, and it was enough to make her pale in just the slightest. Taking the post it note as well as the sucker, she gave a nod before looking away, down to Alex. "We should be going now.. Thank you for taking the time to check on him, Doctor." And with that, she was out of the room, quickly walking away towards the exit. Alex was at her heels, the boy grabbing for his sucker and she stopped long enough to hand it over to him.
She didn't want to be here any longer than she had to. After all, it wasn't every day you ran into the men you gave lap dances to then have your son lecture both about how "mommy needs a boyfriend". It was extremely awkward and she gave her goodbye to the nurse at the main desk, heading out into the parking lot and opening one of the back doors to put Alex in his seat. "You do need a boyfriend mommy, 'cause I need a new daddy and he's perfect! I like him! He could baby sit me!" Oh, no! Not that. No. "Not a good idea, Alex, I bet he's married. Yeah, and I bet he works real late!" She enthused, trying to disperse her son's interest.

xxxxx\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ HERE WE GO AGAIN ↺↺xxxx/// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// Matthew could feel a faint blush on his cheeks as Alex mentioned - yet again - that he liked him and that Keirra needed a boyfriend. And for a second there, he was almost certain that he saw the blonde's cheeks turn into a pink hue from her son's sudden outburst. Sure, he was only a child and children often spoke their minds without thinking much about it. And sure, it was kinda cute of him to say it, but still... It didn't feel quite right. The whole situation suddenly became awkward again. Though Matthew didn't bother to comment it, so he just smiled at Alex. "No problem at all, Ms Keirra. Hope he gets better" he said before she took her son and left the room.
Now that he was alone, the red head sat down by the desk in the room, reaching out for the journal he was given earlier. Right - he had forgotten about that already. But for the time being he couldn't really concentrate. The awkwardness was still the air even though Keirra had left. His thoughts went back to the previous night in the club where he first saw her. With a light shake of his head and a small smile on his lips he opened the journal. 'Don't over think it Matthew. It won't do you any good' he thought as he read through the papers in the brown paper map.
"You serious? She dropped by your work? Did you hit on her?" Matthew rolled his eyes and looked at his brunette friend. Didn't he think about anything else? "Of course I didn't, James! She was there with her son and I was working." The red head had a bite of his pasta salad. It was now after two in the afternoon and Matthew had just gotten off his shift and had his lunch. James kept on pestering him about his meeting with Keirra, saying that he should ask her out or something. But the red head thought it was a really bad idea since they didn't even know each other and just asking her out like that would be considered as creepy. He had no intention of asking her out! And besides, she probably thought he was really old compared to herself.

Keirra xxxNow that she was out of that medical office, and that situation, she was able to relax a little bit though not much. She had so much to do, but as she saw it, she could take it one step at a time. It was still early, and she figured that she would spend most of the night watching movies with Alex. But what was there to watch? Keirra made her way to the grocery store with her son in tow, finally finding a good parking spot and taking it before anyone else could. Walking inside, she looked to the list she had made as well as the list that Matthew had given her. Cough syrup, and it was doctor recommended, how ironic. Shaking her head, she went straight for what he had told her to get, grabbing a bottle of the cheapest before making her way around the store to finish off the rest of her shopping. This was taking longer than she had thought it would, and by the end of it all, she was starving.
"All done, Alex. You wanna take mommy out to lunch?" She teased, earning a giggle from her son. "Can we?!" He exclaimed, grasping her shirt as they walked across the parking lot to the car, the woman focusing on loading the groceries into the car. "We haven't had a day out in awhile, so why not?" She questioned, smiling down at him as she loaded the last bit into the car, putting the cart in one of it's holders before putting Alex in his seat. Driving to the closest restaurant, she pulled in and walked Alex into the building, letting him have a chicken nugget meal while she got herself a chicken sandwich and a large fry. As to make things fair, she ordered both of them a water. Grabbing the tray and letting Alex choose where they would sit, she was a bit surprised to see him run straight to a booth by the window, making her sit down first.
They spent a little bit of time eating and he told her the usual stories about what had happened at school, or what Jenna had did. Oh, Jenna. For once, the woman frowned. Some baby-sitter that girl was, she was there to baby-sit, not chat on the phone with her boyfriend all night. She would have to call her and her boss when they got home but for now, she was letting Alex finish his meal before taking their tray over to the trash and dumping the contents. Leading Alex out of the store, she made her way to the car, this time heading to her land lord's house. The meeting was quick, but she paid what she owed, plus the next month's rent. This left enough for her to pick up a movie and she did just that, taking Alex to the nearest Kroger so they could look at the movies on Redbox. Eventually, they settled on Rise of the Guardians, A Monster in Paris, and Life of Pi. There was no arguing with Alex, the front of the movie held a tiger, and that was his absolute favorite animal.
Now it was time to go home and she was sure to call Jenna, alerting her to her loss of a job. "I've been told by Alex that you're not much of a baby-sitter. I'm not paying you nearly fifty dollars a week just so you can not do your job. You're fired, goodbye." The next phonecall was her boss and she left Alex in the living room with the movies, letting him choose what to watch first. This wasn't going to end well, but she was going to try and swing it for two nights off. "Hey.. You were right, he does have the flu and I can't depend on his baby-sitter. You care if I take the next two nights off?" It was silent before the gruff voice spoke back up, "Why not bring him here? We really need you." "I am not bringing him to work, and I wouldn't be able to take care of him if I'm busy showing myself to those greedy men!" She argued in a hushed whisper. This was rare, but she wasn't backing down. One way or another, she would be staying home with him. After a long exasperated sigh, the man gave in, leaving her frustrated as she began texting one of her girl friends, apologizing before deciding to talk about the unexpected event of the day.
Kei: 'So.. I took Alex to the doctor. Guess who I ran into? And Alex is sick so I can't come in for the next few days, sorry.' Sara: 'Ah? Who? Wait.. Don't tell me, lap-dance guy? Red head? That him? And you know it's fine! You're always here, you deserve a day off!' Kei: 'Of course. Red head. Lap-dance guy. And Alex was lecturing us both about how we should get together! It was so embarrassing.' Sara: 'Your boy is smart, he's got a point! When's the last time you went on a date? You do need a guy, and you two were cute together!' Kei: 'I'm not discussing this any further! I promised to have a pizza/movie night with Alex while he's recovering, so I've got to go. And by the way, what's so cute about me giving some stranger a lap dance?'
Once she was done texting, she called the local Centers Pizza, ordering a pepperoni pizza. While they waited, she cleaned the kitchen and Alex's room. As the pizza arrived, she paid the man and sent him off before putting the movie in and fixing plates, both her and Alex drinking chilled glasses of water as they watched Rise of the Guardians.

Nothing special really. They had known each other since high school and could literary talk about anything from family problems to how bad that and that movie was to plans that would never even happen. Apart from Matthew's brother, James was the one who knew the red head from the inside and out. Since Matthew rarely talked about his own feelings people had to try to get in his head to understand. Not James - he could tell by just looking how he felt; if he was sad, pissed or just feeling down. When he was deep down in his dark abyss after his father passed and he tried to take his own life, James was the one to find him and more or less saved his life.
"So, what's up for tonight then?" Matthew wrapped his fingers around his white coffee cup and tapped his forefinger against it as he was thinking. He frowned slightly. "Don't have any plans. I never do" he then said after being silent for some time and had a sip of his black coffee. The brunette gave away a small noise as to say "I know you don't since you always work". He then grabbed his own coffee cup and put one leg lazily over the other and pointed at Matthew with a small silver spoon. "Then - and don't say no - I'll come over tonight and we'll have a Lord of the Rings marathon! All three movies. Extended. No breaks." The red head looked somewhat bothered by the suggestion and James must've noticed. He grinned slightly. "I'll make sushi for you." "I'm game" Matthew said without hesitation and took another sip of his coffee.
After yet another cup of coffee, the two men left the café after staying there for over two hours and parted. Getting in to his car, Matthew was on his way home, only dropping by the store for some quick shopping first. As he got home, he unpacked his groceries and put them in their right places in the fridge and freezer before having a seat by the kitchen table. On his way in, he had picked up his mail and as he looked through it, it was nothing important; a vacation card from his little sister in Thailand, crap, crap, crap and his phone bill.
With a sigh, Matthew slouched down in his chair and dropped the mail back on the table. The familiar tune from his cellphone was heard as he got a text. Pulling up his phone from his jeans, he read the text and let out another sigh before replying, letting his fingers tap the screen.
David: So Caroline and I are going to be out of town tomorrow for a few hours and we reeeeally need you to watch William and Amber until we get back! Please, please, please! You're my brother! Matt: You only have one brother, stupid. But yeah, sure. I'm free tomorrow so that won't be a problem. Just call me tomorrow before dropping them off. David: Awesome! Thanks! I owe you one. Or more, I don't know.
Matthew didn't bother to reply on the last text, so he just put his phone on the table and got up to have a shower. Thirty minutes after he was done, James dropped by with all three Lord of the Rings films on Blu-Ray, newly made sushi and sake. "Can't have sushi without sake!" he always said, and this time was no exception. The red head brought out two plates and glasses and placed on the table as James started the first movie in the trilogy. And so the marathon had begun!

Keirra xxxA night such as this one was much needed, it had been something that Keirra was missing while she was gone all night, working. She was glad to see her little boy and be able to spend some quality time with him though she knew it wouldn't last forever. No, she only had a few days off and she had to find a baby-sitter who she could trust to take care of him. A few choices popped up in her mind, even one that she was immediately blushing over. Lap-dance Matty. No, she couldn't do that! What if he told Alex her true profession?! But he was so good with kids! And he knew what he was doing! But could he be trusted? She was distracted with her thoughts, only becoming aware of her surroundings as Alex tugged on her shirt, trying to get her attention. Turning to look down at him, she wasn't surprised when he asked for seconds. "Just one more slice, Alex. No more after that." She told him, soon leaning forward to grab him a slice of pizza. This time she chose something kind of small as he had already had his fill and she was sure he wouldn't be able to finish a regular slice.
She lifted her head to look at the television just in time to see the competitive streak of tooth gathering between the guardians. This was enough to earn a few giggles from her, and Alex was hooting with laughter though soon enough he coughed harshly, earning a worried look from her. Immediately she felt bad as she hadn't given him his cough medicine yet and she frowned before getting up to go get the bottle, reading it as she walked back over to the young boy, pouring him the recommended dose and watching him drink it. His nose scrunched and he stuck out his tongue, showing his disgust towards the medicine. "Momma! This tastes icky! I don't want no more!" He huffed, glaring at the plastic cup he had used to take the medicine. Just his reaction to the bitter liquid was enough to earn a few giggles from Keirra though she was quickly silenced by the pout and the glare she was getting. "I know, I know! I'm sorry! But you've got to take it so that you'll get better!" She spoke, the woman smiling down at him as he pouted even more. Though the small silent argument was ended as they both looked to the television, watching the movie until it ended.
Though, again, her thoughts were on what to do about a baby-sitter and for once she was considering getting to know someone outside of her normal. Sure, he had been at the strip club but maybe his friends were just trying to give him a night out? He definitely seemed the type to never go out and have any fun and Keirra signed before shaking her head. No, she couldn't do this. She wasn't going to wear her heart on her sleeve and allow herself to be weakened by the first man she had met who wasn't some greedy a*****e. He'd have to work for it and at this rate, she was growing lonely but she wasn't giving in. Alex was the only man she needed. Once the movie ended, Keirra cleaned up the living room before carrying Alex to bed with her, curling around her son and sleeping through the rest of the night peacefully, glad to be able to snuggle him without hearing his harsh coughs.

The first one was the most boring one of all three movies and he had seen it so many times that he knew almost every line. "He's been stabbed by a Morgul blade. This is beyond my skill to heal, he needs elvish medicine." The red headed male yawned and ran a hand through his wild hair. It was still over two hours left of the movie and by now he wanted to go to sleep. Frodo and the other's hadn't even come to Rivendell yet! As the scene continued, Matthew kept on reciting the lines as they were spoken; "'Mr. Frodo? He's going cold!' 'Is he going to die?' 'He is passing into the shadow world. Soon he will become a wraith like them.'" James shot his friend an annoyed look. "Can you please stop reciting everything they say?" he asked, trying not to sound annoyed. Matthew looked over at the brunette at the other side of the couch. "I'm bored." With that said, Matthew turned his brown eyes to the tv again to keep watching the movie. This time he actually shut up and was silent during the rest of it, to James' pleasure.
A buzz from heard from the kitchen. Matthew flinched at the sound, waking up from his half-sleep. What was that? But it didn't really take him that long to figure out that it was his cellphone. He scratched his neck and reached out a hand towards the kitchen. "Use the force, Matt" James said teasingly as his friend's laziness. "I'm trying, but apparently doesn't work at the moment." With a heavy sigh, Matthew got up from his very comfortable seat and went to get his cellphone. His brother. Again.
David: We'll be at your place by nine tomorrow, so you better be up by then. Or else I'll knock your door down and have my kids come and wake you up. Matt: You're lucky I wasn't sleeping. Sure; nine's fine and I promise I'll by up by then.
Matthew looked at his phone for a moment before bringing it back to the couch and the movie. "Hot lap dance girl?" The red head looked over at his friend in the dark room. He could see the teasing smile on James' lips. "If her name is David and is my brother, then yes" Matthew said, earning a slightly amused laugh in return. Speaking of Keirra - he hopes things would be better with her son. She seemed to love him deeply. Even though she worked as a stripped, she was most certainly a good mother. If she wasn't, she probably wouldn't have taken Alex to the doctor to have him checked on.
After a few very, very long hours, the third and final movie in the trilogy came to an end. Matthew had been sleeping on and off during the last hour or so, earning a kick from James to stay awake. As his friend was collecting the CD from the BlyRay-player, the red head had taken the plates and glasses from their sushi to the kitchen and just put it in the sink. He could take care of that in the morning before his brother arrived. After saying bye to James, he turned the light's off in his apartment and went straight to bed. Before falling asleep, his thoughts went on about what to do tomorrow to entertain William and Amber. Going to the park seemed like a good idea if the weather was good enough. It not, he could take them to that huge indoor playground or something like that. Some place where he could enjoy his time as well. As his thought kept on coming and going, he was soon fast asleep, curled up under his thick blanket and his cellphone beside him with the alarm put on 8.30. That seemed like a good time to get up and get ready for a long day.

Keirra xxxThe next morning, Keirra was up bright and early, though she wasn't wanting to be. The young boy was squirming to try and get loose from his mother's grip, soon resorting to tugging on her hair. "Mom! Mom! Mooommm! Mooommmmm! Wake up! C'mon, mom! I feel better!" Alex announced, tugging on his mothers blonde locks again. Giving a sigh of annoyance, Keirra opened her eyes though she couldn't argue with the hopeful look her son was giving her. "Okay, okay, I'm up." She muttered, daring to look over at her alarm clock. Eight in the morning, she was up way too early and this was enough to earn a slight groan. "Just one more hour, please, Alex? Mommy's tired. I'll wake up and fix chocolate chip pancakes here in an hour or so, just please, let me sleep. And we can go to the park afterwards." She muttered tiredly, gently unwrapping the boy from her embrace and nudging him to go watch television until she woke up. Of course, negotiating with Alex wasn't so easy, the boy staring at his mother with furrowed brows before tapping her cheek and pouting down at her. "No, I'm hungry now! I want pancakes now! Mom! Get up!" He whined, huffing and puffing as he stared at her. After a few more minutes of being poked and prodded, Keirra finally sat up, frowning at Alex before clumsily getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom. She was up now though she wasn't happy about it. Doing what she needed to, the girl soon came back out and went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Alex was sitting on the couch, entranced with the show that was playing on the television. Looking to make sure he was doing fine, Keirra blinked as she realized that he hadn't coughed or anything, instead he seemed to be more energetic than usual. Had his cold went away that quickly? She was skeptical of it but she didn't question it, deciding that she'd take his medicine to the park with them when they went. If he had any problems, she'd give him a dose but she would be taking water as well. Alex never could resist playing with the other children, even if he wasn't sure of it at first. Turning her attention back to her and Alex's breakfast, Keirra almost drooled at the smell of the pancakes, glad that she had the stuff to make them. It had been awhile since she'd had chocolate chip pancakes and they most definitely had been a craving. Once breakfast was done, the television was turned off and the woman sat down with her son at the table, both drinking chocolate milk while eating their breakfast. These moments were rare and so Keirra was cherishing every moment of it, glad to be home long enough to see her son and sit and enjoy breakfast with him. Because on any other day she'd be eating breakfast alone while he was at school.
Once they were done with breakfast, Keirra sat down to watch television with Alex before it was time to head to the park for awhile. Of course, she made some stops, the female returning the movies they had watched in the previous night and stopping in the library to pick up some books. One of the girls that she worked with, her best friend as well, had recommended the Vampire Academy series and Keirra was going to do her best to follow up with this recommendation though she knew that she would have to be on her edge with Alex being at the park. So much could happen, he could fall and get hurt or worse but the boy was tough and she knew a few scrapes and bruises wouldn't do too much damage to the rambunctious child. Once she had her books, they were on their way to the park and she sat at a bench while Alex busied himself with finding a way to join in a game that some of the other kids were playing. It wasn't uncommon for them to be out so early on the weekend and she was glad that her son was up to playing, already having started a game of tag and running around while she tried to focus on her book though she couldn't help the few glances she sent his way to ensure he wasn't getting hurt.

xxxxx\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ HERE WE GO AGAIN ↺↺xxxx/// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// BURN BABY BURN /// As the alarm went off at 8.30 in the morning, the red headed male fumbled to get his phone to turn it off. He groaned loudly when he couldn't find it and sat up, only to find the phone a little bit further from where he tried to grab it. With an annoyed mumble he managed to finally turn it off. Then he just sat then in his bed, legs crossed and with his hair pointing in every direction possible. He felt like laying back down again and sleep for at least three more hours or so, but he knew he couldn't. With great effort, Matthew dragged himself out of bed and got dressed and made his bed while he was still in the bedroom. After fixing his hair and making it stay he went on to take care of the dishes from the day before and make himself some coffee. He could really need that coffee if he was supposed to take care of two wild kids.
Twenty minutes later than what was said, there was a knock on the door. Matthew looked up from today's newspaper and his coffee. He turned his head to look at the time. "Someone needs to get a new watch." The male heaved himself up from the kitchen chair and went to unlock the door. In the blink of an eye, the two children clinged on to his legs with happy smiles. Both of the children had the same fiery red hair as Matthew, and David beneath the black hair dye. Matthew looked down at the two who were talking at the same time, asking what to do today; what to eat; that they had missed him. "They haven't been talking about anything else since yesterday." Matthew turned his head to his twin brother with a smile. They were copies of each other apart from that David had dyed his hair black. "I figure. Where's Caroline?" "She's in the car. Anyway - we'll be in town by seven-ish or something like that. But I'll give you a call before we get here." Matthew smiled softly and nodded as David said bye to his children before leaving. Amber - who was as happy as ever - started to cry a little as her father left. The red headed male picked her up in his arms and kissed her cheek at the same time as he closed and locked the door. "Mommy and Daddy will come back later today to take you home." Amber dried her tears as she looked at Matthew and nodded. He put her back on the floor and helped her off with her shoes. William had already gotten undressed and was in the living room, standing in the couch to look out the window.
Matthew had managed to entertain the twins long enough for him to finish his coffee and have breakfast. He had put on the movie The Lorax which was something they both could watch. Amber wanted to watch the new Tinker Bell-movie and William wanted to watch The Pirates, so finding something that both could watch was very much needed. After he had finished his small breakfast and his essential morning coffee, Matthew sat down in the couch with the children. Amber was quick to climb on to his lap but not taking her eyes off the movie once. "You want to go to the park when the movie has ended?" he asked, looking at the twins. "I want to go now" William said, earning a nod from his sister. Matthew just smiled and turned the tv off. Once he had helped them both to get dressed, he got in his shoes and a thin, black jacket and then all three of them went outside.
Even though Matthew did have a driver's licence and a car, he preferred to walk. It took a while longer while walking, but he didn't mind. A little vitamin D never hurt! He walked down the streets, holding on to the twins in each hand. They talked to him constantly about everything and nothing at the same time, switching subjects more often than one could change socks! But they were always like that the first few hours when he was around, so he didn't mind too much. Once they arrived at the park, both of the twins let go of his hands and ran towards all the other children that were playing. "No, Amber! Keep your shoes on!" he called out to the young girl before he sat down on a bench where there already was a woman reading. He didn't pay too much attention too it, seeing as is was more important to watch the children.

Keirra xxxAs usual, Alex was just about everywhere at once, the little boy practically running laps around the playground. It seemed he was playing a game of tag and she was doing her best to keep an eye on him and read at the same time, though that was proving to be difficult as he didn't know how to stay in one place. Just as she was putting her book away, two other children emerged onto the playground, a masculine voice telling the little girl to keep her shoes on. The mulch wasn't going to be so nice to run on bare-footed and she was further surprised when he took a seat on the other end of the bench. Of course, she was more focused on watching the blonde haired boy run around, making sure he wasn't getting hurt. He was a spitting image of his mother, having the same blonde hair and blue eyes that she held. Alex held a different personality than his mother did, the boy being spontaneous and extremely out-going and it was no surprise that he ran up to the twins, eager to make friends with them. "Hi! My name's Alex! Wanna play tag?!" He exclaimed, bouncing eagerly as he waited for an answer. This time, she could see where he was and this was enough to earn a fond little smile at the fact that her baby boy was making friends.
Deciding to see who had sat down next to her, she looked over only to spot Matthew, and the strange thing was, those kids had his hair. So, maybe she'd been wrong? Maybe he wasn't there just to have fun. Either way, she quickly snapped her head back to her book, deciding that maybe making conversation wouldn't be wise. But the little blonde haired boy running around with the twins would probably catch his attention soon, so may as well announce her existence. "So, they yours?" It was no surprise that he would have children, especially with the way he'd seemed so good with Alex in the previous day. He was obviously not new to being around children and she wasn't sure if it was part of his job or if it was his fatherly instinct.
Closing her book, Keirra ran a hand through her hair before turning her attention back to the playground, catching flashes of Alex running around again. Either he was playing on his own or the two children he'd invited to play with him had joined in whichever game they were supposed to be playing. But she knew how her son was - tag was his favorite, and if it was his choice, they were most likely playing tag. It was an odd situation, one that had started growing weirder and weirder by the days gone by. How many times would she be running into him? Though if he decided to ask anything about her that involved her profession, he'd probably see another side of her that he wouldn't have expected to see. In her years of being a single mother and working at the strip club, she'd run into a few guys who didn't understand that just because she danced half naked in front of a crowd of men all night didn't mean that she was easy. She wasn't going to give them the time of day, and she wasn't going to give them any personal viewings or lap dances unless work called for it.
