Junjie tilted his head to one side when the girl told him 'no' to his offer before he slowly nodded, "Alright, if you would rather do it yourself I understand." He said, she didn't really seem like the most cuddly person in the world and he could see that she would rather do her hair herself. Best that he didn't push, he wanted them to be friends after all and friends didn't try to force you to do anything. Trotting over to sit on the edge of the bed as the girl set to brushing out her long, red tresses Junjie watched quietly for a long while before commented, "You have really pretty colored hair. Mine seems kinda boring by comparison." He envied her and Erionda a little bit, they both had such pretty hair colors! Even the pretty Dovaa woman he met a while back who had the blue streaks in her hair had more interesting hair then him. If nothing else at least he could blend in well with his surroundings he thought to himself idly.

Bring his legs up so that he was sitting cross legged on the bed he asked, "Want to see something neat once you are done brushing your hair?" He asked, deciding to ask her if she wanted to see the big egg that he found. Lifting one hand he patted the large, covered form that was sitting on the bed under the blanket, "I found it when I was out in the woods! I saved it from some bad guys! At least I am pretty sure they were bad... I mean they were stealing after all." Going around stealing eggs from nests was one of the worst things that he'd seen thus far, something that proved that the boy was a little bit on the sheltered side. He seemed at the moment to be quite excited about what he was going to show her, hoping that she would be as excited as he was about it. Thus far the only one save for himself that had seen the egg was his mother and she was more exasperated by it then anything else... hopefully Tilawen would have a better reaction to it.

Tilawen had been mid stroke with her brushing when he complimented her hair, pausing she seemed unsure on how to react. Her hair was her fathers hair. The bright red indicated any sort of relation with her father and thus she had a bit of a love hate relationship with it. The length of her hair had been about the only thing in her entire life she had fought for. Burrom had wanted to cut it because it had on occasion gotten them in a pinch when it would catch on something or if someone else caught a hold of it. Still it was...something that linked her to him and she couldn't bare to have it cut off.

"Its the same...as Burrom." She commented slowly and quietly before she continued to brush it. It may seem strange to others that she wouldn't refer to the man as her father rather she refereed to him by his first name. This was due to habit, Burrom didn't like being called anything remotely fatherly. Lost in her thoughts it took her a moment to register that Junjie was speaking to her. Blinking she looked to him a questioning look on her face as if she wasn't sure what he had asked of her. It took a moment before she realized he seemed rather excited and keen about...something.

Shifting she lowered her hand and placed the brush beside her before she nodded her head. The young girl wasn't exactly sure what it was that he wanted to show her, but given that they were in his room it couldn't be anything scary.

Junjie looked a little bit confused when the girl commented about how her hair was like 'Burrom'. Wasn't that her father? Why refer to him as his first name? It was a strange thing, one that he had never done himself with his mother. It was a little odd and he couldn't help but to wonder about it, "Isn't... isn't he father?" He asked in a curious manner, tilting his head to one side. Had he missed something perhaps? Maybe he heard wrong? Maybe Burrom was her older brother and not her father? He really had no idea... it just seemed really odd to him. He couldn't fathom calling his mother by her name, it was all really strange but then again it all seem that there were a lot of things that were strange to him when it came to the really quiet girl. No matter, strange or not he liked her just as he seemed to like everyone.

When she seemed to show a bit of interest in what it was that he was wanting to show her he slid off the edge of the bed then lifted up the blanket, pulling it back to uncover a bright green egg that was about the size of a watermelon, "See, see? Isn't it amazing! I found it during a walk in the forest." He said, reaching a hand out to slide it gently against the warm shell of the egg in a gentle manner before leaning over, pressing his ear to the shell for a moment, "It's not ready to hatch yet, still really quiet. Did you know you can hear things inside of eggs scratch and peeping when they are ready to be born?"

To Tilawen calling Burrom by his first name was normal, after all he didn't like to be reminded that he was her father. So it didn't feel weird calling him that for she always had. So she was a bit surprised when Junjie seemed confused by her response.

"Yes. " We her response as she took a deep breath and slowly released it it was her way of calming herself down, she couldn't help but feel on edge with Junjie's question about Burrom and for what reason she couldn't fathom. "Burrom is my father." She explained with a slowness that betrayed her discomfort with the question.

Rather than go into it (as she wouldn't in the first place) she turned her attention to what it was that Junjie was revealing to her. What he showed her stunned her, it was a drakein egg and he said it would be hatching. Blinking she seemed unable to think of anything to say, after all it was going to hatch into a baby dragon. The only thing she could do was reply to his question.

"No. I didn't." She was ...really surprised his mother was letting him keep such a thing. "You...are excited?"

So he was her father and she still referred to him by name instead of as father, that was that was rather odd odd to him. He wanted nothing more then to ask her more about the situation but there was something about the way that she had answer his questions and the general air about her said that she didn't want to talk about it. His curiosity was put on hold for a time even though it was rather difficult to do so. He was so used to asking lots of questions of people but thus far she had answered only a fraction of them. Better to have her answer the ones that he was really curious about instead of the ones that he was only somewhat curious about, provided that she was kind enough answer anymore of them.

Shaking his head to clear his racing thoughts he turned his full attention to the egg, giving it a smile. It would be better if they talk about something else, something better, and he figured the big egg was just that thing. He took hold of the blanket and wrapped it around the egg, leaving a little of it uncovered so that that Tilawen could look it over if she wished to. When he was asked if he was excited the boy nodded his head rapidly, "I can't wait to see what comes out of it! It's the biggest egg I've ever seen!" He said, doing his best not to bounce in excitement though it was pretty clear that he was excited given the way his feathery wings had popped out again, flapping behind him rapidly.
PostPosted: Wed May 01, 2013 9:25 pm

Tilawen couldn't help but stare at the wings in slight awe, after all her own bony structures on her back would never allow her to fly, they were to rigid and well..had holes in them. It meant someday Junjie could just leave whenever he wanted and that caused her to be even more jealous. Trying to remind herself they were looking at the gigantic egg she wondered if Junjie realized what was inside of it. True Tilawen had never been this close to one, but she had seen them in her travels with Burrom.

"....can't wait?" The young girl echo'd after all she couldn't understand why he was so excited about it. She was beginning to feel rather bitter towards the young boy, his freedoms..the ability to well..be happy. Was she happy? No. At least she never remembered a time when she had smiled last.

"are..you not afraid? What if it eats you?" She inquired quietly.

He nodded, "Yeah, it will be great." He said, petting his hand against the shell of the egg gently, "I will finally get to have a friend at last! One that will stay around to play, one that won't look at me oddly cause of what I am, one that is nice. I really hope that the one in here is like those my friend has, if so it will be nice." He said quietly, as though he didn't want anyone but Tilawen to hear him say that out loud, not wanting for his mother to overhear him saying such a thing. She would only worry. He knew full well that making friends wasn't easy for someone like Tilawen and himself, they had many more people that didn't care for them then he'd like to think about. The dea of having a constant companion would be rather nice, the sort of thing that he was eager for, though he knew he still had to be patient and wait for when the pretty colored egg finally popped open. He had no idea how long it might be, the egg was much bigger then that of those of the creatures they raised after all.

"Afraid?" He asked, then shook his head, "Naw... I mean I was a little intimidated by a bit Drakein I mean, he's kinda big and scary, but that was only because I made him angry." He said, lifting a hand to scratch it against the back of his head, obviously embarrassed, "This one though, it will be my friend so it won't want to eat me." And he would do his best to keep it from wanting eat anyone else as well. He'd feel bad if the one that came from the egg ended up being unfriendly to those around itself and Junjie. He would rather that the baby made friends where he could since Junjie knew how difficult that could be, "Would you want to meet it after it hatches?"

Tilawen watched the boy with a wary gaze, he seemed rather oblivious to the dangers in the world around him, though if he wasn't having people attempt killing him every time he went somewhere then..perhaps that would be a good reason for his innocence. Part of the young girl was annoyed by that fact, the other envied him. Returning her gaze to the egg before beside Junjie she pondered for a moment on his question.

"You don't know..if it will like you." She commented, perhaps raining on his parade only slightly. Some part of herself wanted it to hate him, why did he have to life this sort of life when her own was wrought in misery? But ...perhaps that was just a different view of how the world worked.

"No. Not yet. " Came her second response though she didn't know that she would be forced to interact with the boy a lot longer than with any other person she had ever been with besides Burrom. His chipperness was started to wear on her, she felt exhausted just being in the same room as him, did he always smile like that?

"Might not like me?" He asked, then looked back to the egg and leaned over to give the big, shiny green egg a bit of a hug. Resting his ear against it, still listening for any signs that it might be ready to hatch, "I think... I think that I'd like to believe that it will like me." He told her, hand smoothing against the pretty shell of the egg. He didn't know what he thought about the idea of the one inside the egg not liking him when he'd done his best to take good care of whatever was inside of the egg. Surely it would take that into account? The idea that it might just up and leave had never occurred to him and had his heart thudding in his chest in a somewhat uncertain manner. Shaking his head to clear the worry he decided that he would only know for certain after the egg hatched.

When the girl said that she didn't want to meet with the creature inside the egg yet he gave a nod of his head, "Alright, if you are sure." He said, before he turned to look toward his door when he heard a knock, hopping off the bed so that he could go and meet his mother as she opened the door and stepped into the room, checking on the two of them, "Hello, Mom. How is your patient?" He asked, curious how the man might be feeling. If he was all patched up did that mean that the two of them were leaving? Not a thought he like the sound of since he was enjoying his time with Tilawen even if she was rather quiet.

Lien looked between the two of them before he said, "He is resting at the moment, the wound caused him to lose a lot of blood and he will need to sleep that off." She explained before looking over at Tilawen, "While Burrom heals up and recovers the two of you will be staying here with us." She told the girl, wanting for her to know that Burrom was alright and that because of the man's wound that they would be staying here. It was the first time that they had someone like Tilawen in their midst, but she was like Junjie was, an innocent child that was born into a world that didn't understand them. Due to this Lien felt that she should look after her just as she did her own son for at least the few days that she was able to keep Burrom in a resting state.

Tilawen didn't feel bad about making Junjie worry in fact she felt that he needed a bit of a wake up call at least he was aware now and if the dragon inside decided it wanted to chomp him instead of becomes his friend he had been warned. The girl shifted her attention when the door to the room opened, after all there was an adult coming in, she had expected to see Burrom, patched up and telling her to change. In fact she had been getting up and looking for her still damp dress when she realized it wasn't him...but Junjie's mother.

Now it was her turn to have her heart hammering in her chest, Burrom was the only person she knew, and ironically depend on. What if he had died? No..that wouldn't happen, Burrom was too strong for that.

Her head turned up to look at Lien almost ...looking confused at her words. They were staying here? For a couple of days? What did that mean?

"Burrom..isn't...dying....is he?" Came her hesitant question the idea they would be sticking around made her down right nervous.

Blinking down at the girl a bit surprised the healer gave a shake of her head, "Oh no, no. Nothing so dire as that. He is just in need of a bit of rest is all, blame it on the fact that he is a very stubborn man and the sort that thinks that he can do anything and everything without issue." She said, what it was about men that made him think that they had to hold the world on their shoulders. It really was a most grating sort of things she thought to herself before she gave Tilawen a smile, "If you wish you can go and sit with him. He is sleeping at the moment." She'd given him something in his tea to make him sleep else she was sure that he'd of run off into the rain the moment she was done stitching him up.

Turning to look over at her son she said, "You will continue to look after her for the next few days while I look after Burrom, alright?" She would trust her son with this little job. He was a good boy and he would take care of things. She felt that it would be good for the both of them to spend a bit of time together given that they both had Dovaa blood flowing through their veins even if their other parents were quite different.

"I will look after her, Mom." He said, giving a bright smile. He wanted to help out where he could and if Tilawen's father wasn't feeling all that well then she would need some sort of company, right? Maybe they could go for a walk together, go to the river to see Froglops, or to the forest to follow dragons. There was a lot to do in this area which would be far more entertaining if he had someone else to go with. Junjie trotted over the bed to wrap the egg up to keep it warm, allowing Tilawen to go with Lien to check on the resting Dovaa man.

The idea of her going to sit with him...caused her to shake her head, she didn't want him to think she was needy even if she did want to confirm he was alive. She would just have to believe that woman wasn't lying to her for the time being. But..it was either go with the woman and stay here with the boy who never stopped talking. Feeling rather defeated she then nodded her head, yes she would go see Burrom. If he was sleeping at least he wouldn't be aware of her relieved look on her face.

"I will ...sit with Burrom." She decided as she moved to stand beside Lien the cookies forgotten on Junjie desk and she wanted so badly to ..go after them but refrained. It would look weak if she was so desperate to get those cookies back. Maybe..if she was lucky she could get more of those delicious things. But for the time being she would leave with this woman...check on the only man she knew well and ...wonder about the days to come.

Lien nodded her head, "Alright, let's go and check up on him then." She said, giving her son and a smile and a nod before she led the little, hybrid girl out of Junjie's room, down the hall, and into the clinic, "If you starts to wake up you can call for me me, I am sure that he won't be too happy with me when he comes to." She'd been the one to dose his tea after all. Giving the girl a gentle smile the woman then set to work cleaning up the clinic, leaving the girl to watching after her father after she did so.

Left once more to his own devices Junjie set to work wandering around his room, a little curious as to what everyone else was doing, but figured that he could wait for now until Tilawen or his mother returned to tell him what was going on. It wasn't as though he hadn't often been stuck in his room while his mother was doing far more interesting things after all. It was just always harder when those interesting things were going on in the house. If it took too long he might sneak down the hall a get a peek, for the moment though he remained in his room, waiting.
