The Mayor and the townspeople began to back off as Liliandil grabbed her guitar. "Get inside the city," Blake commanded them as the other Heroes pulled their blades. "And close the gates behind you. Don't open them again until we say so." Blake looked back at the three Blackwings. "You may have defeated us last time, but this time we stand united. You can't win against us." Blake had his two swords drawn, while Faye had her thin rapier. Lexi had a bright white magic staff with her as she stood back to give herself some range, and Jacob clapped his hands together, engulfing both his hands in bright blue flames, raising them as if he were ready to box.

Fleur unfolded her wings, holding them out to each side as the crystals hanging from them began to glow. "I'm not going to soil myself with any more of them than I have to. Why don't you find two of them Chilia? They seem more your type anyway," Fleur replied as she looked at the so-called "Heroes". The townspeople backed away even further when Fleur stretched her wings out. They were clearly afraid of the Blackwings in general. The heroes, however, didn't budge. "Don't think we'll go down easy," Blake warned the three of them once Fleur had finished speaking. "You have no idea who you're dealing with."

Blake quickly raised both his blades to block the attack. Chilia's and Blake's blades collided with a loud crash of metal, sparks flying in every direction. "Not bad," Blake said confidently through gritted teeth as he pushed against Chilia's blade, trying to force her back. "But I won't give up that easy!" His eyes started to glow as he gained strength, beginning to push her blade back now with the force of his blades.

Jacob was hauled to a stop as Liliandil's black blood wrapped around his hands. He looked down for a moment before charging up the blue flames on his hands. They flared brighter and the black blood began sizzling, burning away until Jacob had freed himself. "Heh. You'll have to do better than that!" he said, looking back up at her with a grin. From behind him, Lexi let out a shout. "Animus!" She yelled, and a bright purple blast of energy lanced forwards from her staff, aiming towards Liliandil's torso at blinding speed.

Fleur's shots followed after Faye as she continued to dodge them, moving in a circle around Fleur. "Too slow!" Yelled Faye as she finally got an opening and jumped in, raising her leg and kicking Fleur in the side of the head. Fleur let out a cry of pain and went flying backwards, managing to flip in the air and land on her feet a few yards away. "Why you..!" She growled angrily as she wiped off her cheek. She fired more bursts of energy at Faye, this time staggering her shots to give herself more time to aim with each shot so as not to give Faye another opening.

Blake was surprised for a moment when she managed to spin out of their stalemate, but he turned quickly to face her. "Fast too. Why don't you give up the business of being a bad guy and join our group?" He asked her with a smile. "I'm sure Faye would love some competition with who's the fastest." He lunged towards her, this time driving both his blades forward in an attempt to pierce her through the chest.

Blake dodged out of the way of her spin, but not fast enough to receive a thin-yet-deep slice across his side, drawing blood. He grimaced in pain as he landed, raising his blades again. "The history books weren't kidding. You guys are tough," he admitted. He took a step forwards and released a wave of dark blue energy towards Chilia, trying to hit her with a diagonal blast.
