Akahoshi sat on the tower with nothing on his mind, and no emotion in his heart. Just sitting there, seconds felt like years. Even though he knew this message was for Celestial, he said it to himself. "You pray for the dead. You fight for the living. And you never leave those that are dying while they're alive." Just then, a small light glared out from the cemetary. He put his scarf back to it's original position; covering his mouth, and his scars.
Akahoshi peered over the tower, and sure enough, it was Celestial. Akahoshi jumped off and landed right next to her. He brought his hands together, ((so that they looked like this --> /)) and bowed. Not for Celestial, but for her brother, instead. For you see, Akahoshi had a great amount of respect for the dead.

Celestial jumped as Akahoshi landed next to her. Hiding the tears in her eyes she whispered horsely, "sorry" before drawing a pentacle in the air above the grave for peace and eternal life. She then turned and began to walk away from Akahoshi, the cemetary, and the town into the forest that skirted the northern edge of the town and cemetary. She, like most elves, returned to the forest when upset. She immeidiately launched into the canopy, jumping gracefully from brach to branch untill she found a tall enough and strong enough sicamore that she could climb almost to the top and watch over the tree tops like a giant bird.

Akahoshi was just about to respond to Celestial, but she got up and began to bounce amongst the tree tops. He followed her on foot.
It was his duty to watch over Celestial; it was a promise he made, what felt like, so long ago. When Celestial was born, Akahoshi was her father's man of honor. They had known eachother since they were young. They competed against one another in silly games as children, and continued on until their adulthood. On her father's wedding, he asked Akahoshi to watch over Celestial as long as he could. Her father knew well that Vampires, Aura or not, live much longer than any Elf would. Akahoshi said yes, and still to this day, he has kept the promise.
Akahoshi continued to walk, thouching the leaves, and looking at the flowers as he passed by. He could see the very soul of the plants, something few others could see.
Even though it was supposed to be an honor watching over Celestial, it felt more like a chore. Now, he just felt like a stray dog following a hint that someone might take him home and care for him. If it wasn't for the promise he made, Akahoshi would more than likely not be here. As to where he would be, he himself did not know.
Celestial eventually found haven atop a tree. Akahoshi just sat down on the ground next to the tree. He felt the tree's Aura. It was young, and strong, but in pain. Termites were eating it; no person could imagine a pain as to be eaten alive. Akahoshi began to meditate, and used his abilities to kill off the termites. It required almost no effort, but he just killed them off. One by one. Soon they were all dead; Akahoshi just sat there waiting for Celestial to begin moving again.

Celestial continued to perch atop the tree, oblivious th the world around her. Akahoshi had watched over her her whole life, even moved to the Lord's castle with her, but she never really appreciated what he had done for her, following her and her often childish ways. When her parents died, She took on the responsibility of caring for her brother. She failed. She agreed to fight for her Lord, but she refused a mission and failed him too. She even failed her teacher, who died in the village fire, she used her abilities for revenge. Grandmaster Chan Tai-San must be rolling in his grave, she thought. She pulled her knees up to her chest, keeping watch on the distant graveyard, spicificly Calib's grave. She still expected him to come burst out of the ground, demanding why he had been buried alive. His smiling face, giving way to shock and then pain haunted her whenever she closed her eyes, so she sat there with her knees to her chest staring at the grave. She blamed herself for waht had happened. she should have been able to hear the arrow, or at least hear the wood spirits telling her about danger. Calib felt like her other half, helping her when she was incompetent, which she often had been, but this was her worst mistake ever. She was no longer whole.

Akahoshi loved the forest, but soon, it would be dark. Even such a peaceful place like this had the potential of becoming a war zone at night. Fearing Celestial's safety, Akahoshi jumped straight up onto the top of the tree. "Miss Celestial, we best be heading back to town. It will be dark soon." Akahoshi pulled out a kunai and twiddled it with fingers. He waited for her response.

Reluctantly, Celestial stood. The branch beneath her moaned in protest to the shifted weight. She jumped off quickly though. A preminition had come to her of the bough breaking beneath her. She was extremely thankful for this gift that all Elves had, though it did not help much in determining the long term effects of things. She wished she had recieved a preminition before Calib died, he'd still be with her. She'd be whole still. She said nothing in response. She didn't know what to say, or if there was anything to say. She just obliged and began to walk back to town. It felt like her rampage today had drained all the fight out of her. Like there was no will left. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow, she thought as she loped back to town.

Akahoshi, for the first time, truly felt distant from Celestial, even though she was only a few feet away. She didn't even say yes when he asked her if she wanted to leave. She just got up, and bounced onto the ground. She didn't even acknowledge that he was even there. It was as if he was her concious, and not a real person.
Akahoshi sighed and jumped off as well. Still twiddling his kunai, he began to walk behind her, like the stray dog he was. Even though Akahoshi lived in the Lord's castle, it wasn't his home, just a place to live. Most nights, Akahoshi would just climb on top of the roof, and sleep underneath the stars.
Akahoshi noticed that Celestial looked exhausted. It looked as if she would collapse any moment. "Miss Celestial," Akahoshi picked up his stride and came up behind her. "Would you prefer it if I carried you? You seem ever so tired."

Celestial shook her head no, but it looked like a smile attepmted to break through her sadness but failed. She opened her mouth to say "thank you," however only a small sigh could only exscape. She put her hand on Akahoshi's sholder for support as they made their way back to town. Even though she defied him, the Lord still gave her boarding, clothes and food. She was living off of others kindness. Can I do anything for myself? she wondered as the town came into view. The wind shook the trees as the last bit of sun set beyond the horizon. Looking up to the moon, she could feel all the energy she gained from it drain away, as had happened all day. She wondered what was wrong with her, her heart in her throat. She began to wonder if she was getting sick.

Akahoshi nodded, understanding her response. Again, that feeling of lonliness came over him. As Celestial used him for support, Akahoshi asked, "Miss Celestial, are you alright. You seem very ill. Do you think that you will be able to make it to the castle?
All the meanwhile, the word used hummed in his head. He couldn't get it out. Akahoshi realized that there was no person that ever was thankful for what he had ever done. I mean, payment is one thing, but gratitude is another. Akahoshi doubted that anyone was grateful for him existing, even though without him, hundreds of people would be in their graves by now. Am I just a tool to be used? Is that my only purpose? A blacksmith does not thank his tools after they have performed their duty; why should I be any different? Akahoshi's heart sank into his stomach. He wanted to vomit right then and there, but he knew it was only in his head. Akahoshi, the stray dog, the tool, continued to walk along side Celestial.

Celestial opened her mouth to answer, but found that she couldn't once again. She felt faint. She seemed to not even have energy for words. She looked up to the moon, drinking in as much of it's light as she could, but she seemed to be using the energy as quickly as she gained it. She was relying on Akahoshi for support. She was always relying on someone. She felt tears pushing to break free, but she couldn't let herself lose control again. She was afraid that she would use the last of her energy and that would be the end of her. She wondered if it would be that bad of a fate, she was worthless now. Worthless. Absolutely worthless. She remembered the Lord's advior telling him that about her when she refused orders. Worthless. She heard another student call her that when she couldn't get any of the tecniques correct. Worthless. She heard her father call her that when she couldn't sense him coming from behind. Worthless. She heard a stranger on the street call her this as she dropped groceries. Worthless. She heard the hearbalist tell her this as another potion blew up in her face. Worthless. She heard a monk scold her as she couldn't sit still during meditation. Worthless. She heard her teacher tell her as she missed the target with her spear yet again. Worthless. She could hear her mother call her that when she messed up dinner for the hundrith time. Worthless. Her brother should have been saying that as he died. She was worthless despite all her training. Worthless. Worthless. Worthless. Worthless. She began to shake as she attempted to push these thoughts aside, but she was too weak to fight. She fought off these doubts and others her whole life, but she could no longer. She could almost feel her soul caving in on itself.

As they contiued to walk, something as amiss. Akahoshi looked at Celestial's face, and saw here eyes become red, and swollen, as if she was about to cry. Yet, she did not. Akahoshi concentrated on his Aura abilities, and even though he could not read her mind, he could definately read her Aura; which is almost the same thing, to a certain extent.
Her body was turning a dark blue, which meant that she was extremely tired, about to faint, possibly even die. Her head was a rainbow of colors, mostly that of self-doubt, sadness, and latent rage. He began to notice certain shades and tints of the colors, which could be associated with certain words. For example, envy could be associated with a light green. It seemed that one color keeped on pulsing; it was light purple, which meant self-doubt, but this particular tint mean that she felt worthless. How? Why?
Akahoshi increased his pace and ran infront of Celestial to stop her. He put his arm on her shoulders. This tool was going to be put to work.
"Celestial," Akahoshi looked her in the eye, "You aren't worthless."

Celestial looked up at Akahoshi puzzledly before remembering that he was an Aura Vampire and could read people's auras; he must have read her's. She had learned long ago that it wasn't reading someone's mind, but their emotions, but it still always unsettled her. She did not know how to respond to Akahoshi and she wondered if she could responed to him if she did know what to say. Instead she just looked down at the dirt. The grass could not grow beneath the canopy of trees, but they were at the forest's edge, the grass began to grow again not far from where they stood.
Her eyes burned and her muscles ached, she wanted to curl into a ball. She felt the shafts of moonlight cut through the treetops and drew on their energy. That energy was used up immediately too. She now realized that it was her emotions eating up her energy. They would consume her too if she had been human and could not draw on the moonlight.

Miles a way a man in his early twenties could be seen climbing the sacred mountain. Many have dared to climb to the top of this mountain; only three have ever survived. They were the three most powerful mages that this world had ever seen, up to the present time. As the prophecy goes, these three mages had hidden three sacred items in the mountain. These items were never recovered and little is known about them. What is known is that they are different types of acceceries(i.e. necklaces, braclets, rings, ect.), except they are made of a very rare compound that is as hard as a diamond, but looks like gold. The person who has one of these items will be able to harness the power of their race, hold all three and unspeakable destruction will happen. From the back of this man you will see Crimsom feathers forming the shape of two wings. Seeing this most people would think that this mage had cast a spell that backfired and permanitly damaged his physical body. He has in fact been chosen at birth to have the sacred pheonix as his animal. He wears sunglasses to protect his eyes from the Sun. He wears a bone of a dinosuar to show the status and culture of the village where he grew up. The boots were created as his first success toward learning magic. At the moment, he is going to get one of the three items to increase his power and get revenge on the Demon race, for they burned down his village many years ago. He returned there to find it ablazed with high ranked demons running from the mess that they created. Kole returnes from the flashback of that terrible night and begins to soar up the mountain. Kizuna walked throughout the town, her face- a blank stare. She didn't know anyone, or where she even was for that matter. She walked slowly, staggerring a bit- for she was just beaten for monthes and now kicked out of her blood vampire clan. Her body ached a bit, but within time, it would heal as if nothing ever happened. All she needed was some fresh blood and she'd be good as new.
"Where am I?" she whispered to herself. The heads of the town's people all turned and watched as a pale white figure cloaked with a heavy grey jacket walked around the streets. They all discreetly carried on with their work, work behind shut and locked doors. Kizuna made no effort to hide herself, her mind wasn't functioning- for it was somewhere else.
The sky was turning dark, and her instincts were going to soon take over her body.

Celestial staggered. She felt weak beyond compare. Her guards were all down, and she was too drained to even create one protective barrier. Her physical strenth was intertwined with her magic, which was connected to her emotions, which were connected to her aura, which is created by spiritual energy. She had exausted all her spiritual energy; her hopes, her beliefs, her love, all brutally beaten. So much had been torn from her that night that he had died, there was not much left. She felt as if she could do nothing. Worthless. She felt so vuelnerable, she knew thinking in this manner was making her weaker, but she couldn't help but to wonder if she had any purpose now. She felt that she, being the older sibling, should have taken charge of the family. She had been offered some small farm land. She denied it, because it would be too hard to make a living compared to the job the Lord had offered them. If she had just taken the d**n farm, he'd be alive. Calib would be alive. The Elvish mind is complicated, though it's flaw is that most elements of the elvish magic rely on emotions and vice virsa. Emotions drain physical energy, and so an elf suffering terrible emotional tramua usualy becomes weak. Celestial could not stop beating on herself, even though she knew these facts. She was just a weight on others sholders. Anyone who chose to attack now would recieve no resistance from her; she had receaded into herself, only acting machanicly to walk.
