And Richard, happy to see his dog content, let out a warm laugh, almost missing her questions entirely as his attention was more or less on his beloved Irish wolfhound. As Baldwin munched on the piece he was given, she made her way back to the counter, and Richard accepted the bag with a nod. "Bacon roasted in maple syrup. It's sweet but still has the flavor of bacon. A good choice for any desserts or candies that you'd want to make with bacon."
He rather liked her ideas, despite her self criticism, and though he wasn't writing them down on paper, he was certain he'd memorize a few of her ideas with relative ease. Bacon-shaped cherry strips certainly sounded interesting... however, when she mentioned the mints and asked what they were for, his mind snapped to attention and his happy demeanor almost broke for a second. The mints... that he was suppose to be making for a client! They had specific instructions! And dog food certainly wasn't on the list of ingredients! He kept this to himself, and he only spoke when he was certain he could hide the shakiness in his voice. "The mints are for a wedding reception. I'll likely do the maple-bacon mints on the side, though, perhaps once these are done. You'll be the first one to try them, I promise!"
She was certainly right on the money about making a killing off of such wears, though, and that was certainly worth trying in the future. He'd rather dogs in his store than little children, anyway. When she asked about the color theme, he took a gander around his own store and answered immediately, before reaching to the cabinet for the whisky he was going to introduce to the mint mix. "Red and white... like a peppermint."
